Had the most amazing afternoon celebrating my daughter’s baby shower here. Absolutely the perfect location and the staff were so attentive to everything! They were on hand constantly refilling drinks, sandwiches and cakes and were happy to box any leftovers up for us. The sandwiches & cakes were so delicious and fresh. We literally could not fault anything. I would definitely recommend this venue if thinking of a baby shower or special function you won’t regret it! Thank you so much for making my daughters day 🥰

Visited on a Saturday afternoon with my Mum for a Mini Afternoom tea as a Birthday treat. Drinks were hot (a big bonus Mum commented on) and the sandwiches lovely and freshly prepared. Being big fans of Afternoon tea we enjoyed the choice of a scone or cake rather than both, the choice of cakes were both amazing and delicious! Located in one of the side streets the shop stands out a mile with its beautiful frontage....and once inside WOW a lot of effort goes into making it beautiful so much to look at and the prettiest toilet door I've ever seen! Fairly busy as would be expected on a Saturday afternoon but not overcrowded, a mixture of all ages visiting. Overall a fabulous afternoon and it felt like a real treat, it was recommended to me and I would recommend to others!

My so had been raving about this place for ages so we decided to give it a try too. The outside is very pretty with loads of flowers and cute little tables and chairs. Inside is rammed full of vintage style Alice in wonderland style items though I feel in places there’s way too much stuff squeezed in. Our sandwiches were honestly some of the nicest I’d ever tasted full of flavour and good quality ingredients. Absolutely delicious. Customer service could have been a bit warmer Would probably return to try the afternoon tea

Lilli’s is a charming tearoom up a nice little alleyway off the Main Street in Market Deeping. They have indoor and outside seating and the decor and furnishings are typical of the twee tearoom genre. We went in for coffee and scones and they were all top class. The coffee had a lovely, mellow flavour and our scones were perfectly fresh, delicious and huge! The service was also excellent and very friendly.

Booked an afternoon tea for 2pm on a Saturday after hearing from many people how great it was. Sorry to say we were disappointed. You have to bear in mind that it is also a cafe and therefore they will have customers who take away or turn up adhoc. So considering we had booked in advance, they had no fruit scones , just plain and no egg & cress sandwiches. Instead we had cream cheese & cucumber, cheese & pickle, cheese & ham and ham & tomato sandwiches. Cheese over load. Not sure why they ran out of egg & cress, surely they could have gone and bought some eggs if that’s what they had ran out? We did see some people who had afternoon tea with egg & cress sandwiches. The sandwiches had too much butter on all of them and we had to scrape the butter off on the sandwiches where we were able to. We were told our cake would be served after the scones. The scone was very nice by the way but it wasn’t a fruit scone which we would have preferred. We can choose a cake from the counter and they looked amazing but by the time of coming in for the afternoon tea to the time to getting our cake some of them had gone so lesser choice. I appreciate they were busy and came across as though they were struggling to cope with the demand. One customer came in and asked if they were open because they saw a closed sign and a member of staff said they did that because they were busy. I know you can’t anticipate how busy you are going to be however maybe when someone books an afternoon tea, that you ask them at the time if they want a fruit or plain scone, keep to one side including all of the sandwiches that you’re supposed to get because you do ask dietary requirements at the time of booking and when we come in, ask what cake we would like and keep it to one side for when we are ready. At least that way we’re not sat there watching the cake you probably wanted to have being sold. It’s a real shame because I am sure on a quieter day the food, service and would have been lovely.

Visited around lunchtime on a bank holiday weekend. 4 of us plus one well behaved puppy sat outside in the sunshine. Service provided by 2 very welcoming young girls. Large array of homemade cakes portioned generously. We asked whether they were able to provide some water for the dog and the request was met positively and quickly. The cakes were absolutely delicious - we had coffee cake, lemon drizzle and Bakewell tart,3 teas and a latte. Cost was £22. Not cheap but we felt absolutely acceptable for the quality and portion size offered. This really was a hidden treat where we happily whiled away an hour. Highly recommended. Sorry no photos of our chosen cakes - we ate them before photographing !!

Such a warm welcome as soon as we stepped inside. The tea room was decked out in a stunning autumn Halloween theme but with it's vintage tearoom feel. The savory jacket potato with brie and bacon was very lovely , and then the choice of tempting cakes was amazing and the option to have two different smaller slices was perfect. All washed down with a proper cup of tea in a cute teacup. 10/10 for customer experience. Well done 🫖🍰

Hidden down an alleyway, we came across this tearoom. Attractive, almost twee, with diners sitting outside, we ventured indoors to find one vacant table. A busy place is always a good sign so we sat down, commenting on the really unique decor - twee beyond twee inside but whilst OTT, was really attractive. Menu's were printed on strips of flexible plastic and tied to handy little boards - everything here was 'different' and created a talking point. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. My wife had Egg & Sweetcorn Mayo sandwiches with me opting for Tuna mayo, both on white bread. What arrived was truly amazing. The sandwiches were absolutely packed with filling and accompanied by good portions of salad, coleslaw and crisps. The salad dressing was delicious and as for the coleslaw - superb. Having read reviews criticising prices, I can only remind readers that you get what you pay for and my opinion is that the quality, service and quantity we received here made this fantastic value for money. If we are ever back in Market Deeping, this will be our lunch stop!!!

Great menu whether treats or something more substantial. We had sandwiches which came with a delightful side salad - everything fresh, tasty and generous. My friend had a milk shake which was as awesome as the cake choices. Cake is clearly a major speciality at Lilli’s - made to commission for bespoke celebrations, we spotted a sealed box with something big and gorgeous in it awaiting collection. So, full though we were, we could not miss out on cake, obvs. I am not local so popping back another day was a bit tricky. No problem - the lovely team boxed our picks for later nomnomming at home where dinner stayed in the fridge. They even posted my prescription sunglasses to my home address after I phoned days later in a panic. Thoughtful and kind, but I’d only left them because of ogling the cakes so it was Lilli’s fault really. Highly recommended.

Walking round Market Deeping, we fancied a coffee, so a quick google and we were near here. There were a couple of tables outside, but it wasn't a very warm day, so we went inside. We stood inside the doorway for a minute or so and managed to catch the eye of someone clearing tables. She told us to sit down and motioned a table. We sat down and chose what we wanted from the menus on the table, we then waited for someone to come over. Nowhere did it say whether it was table or counter service, but we assumed table as we were told to sit down and the menus were on the table. We then waited for ten minutes, it's not a big cafe, they must have been aware we were there, they didn't acknowledge us at all. When it got to 13 minutes with still no acknowledgement, we got up and walked out - a shame as the food looked inviting.

We were told out Lilli's from a friend who had been with their dogs. It was my twin sons 15th birthday so I called ahead to book a table for 5 people & a dog, mentioning it was a birthday treat. Well the reception & service we received was shocking, the first ting we were told was put your dog on the floor as it was on my daughter lap. The service was incredibly slow. I ordered an oat milk Latte, when it came she said we didn't have oat milk so its soya milk! My daughters drink was forgotten altogether so I popped uptown the counter to ask if it was coming, the server literally sighed at me. When it came she slammed it on the table, said on the house & walked away. My daughter had ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream so when she returned I asked she could add whipped cream & she made a point of saying my daughter was awkward. This was a really family treat for us & supposed to be a celebration of my sons birthday but she made it a miserable experience & as such would never return or recommend it.

Popped into here on the the offchance for a spot of lunch, had been informed they have a gluten free selection as I have Coeliac Disease, only one choice of "cake" on offer which was a caramel shortbread (not a cake really), decided to go the savoury route as menu stated gluten free bread for sandwiches or toasties. On spotting how small and cramped the kitchen/food prep area was I decided against a toastie as it would probably be cooked in the same machine as normal bread, had sandwich instead which I must say had lots of filling in and came with a lot of salad and some crisps (can only presume they were gluten free too but didn't eat them in case), cappuccino was piping hot but too milky for my liking, was more like a latte. If you're just eating gluten free for the so-called "health" benefits then this place will be ok but if like me you do have Coeliac Disease then I don't think there is much choice and could question their cross contamination practices.

First impression was very poor as the debris and dirty crockery of previous customers covered most of the tables, although only two tables were occupied. We enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea here with tasty sandwiches, scones with jam & cream & a yummy piece of Lemon cake. Far too much to eat in one sitting so took the cake home in a little box that the waitress happily provided for us. The staff were very friendly & nice. The only thing that I would have preferred was that we could have had an afternoon tea for 2 (at a slightly reduced price as most places seem to do nowadays) instead of having to have one each at full price. I visited here with my wife and daughter for a pot of tea and cake after recently noticing this tea room. You don’t find many tea rooms nowadays so we didn’t need much persuading to visit. It was late on a Monday afternoon, so it was practically empty. The décor inside was as you would expect from a tea room, although the chairs could have been more comfortable. The menu had plenty of drinks on offer, a vast selection of teas, plenty of coffees, and cold drinks. Needless to say, we went for a pot of tea for 2, along with some crumpets and cake. When ordering cakes, I suggest you go up to the counter and select them that way based on what catches your eye, there is even an option to choose 2 half slices for £4, rather than a full size for £3.50.

Wonderful atmosphere, the staff were so friendly and very helpful. We ordered afternoon tea for 3 and a toasty of the children’s menu. When all the tea came my youngest (6) decided she did want to drink tea after all. The staff were accommodating giving us an extra cup and made sure we let them know when we needed more tea. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were clearly fresh and home made. There was a good choice of fillings and bread and lots of cake to choose from. The toasty again was clearly made fresh and with good quality ham. The children’s toasty came with little cheese nibble biscuits which went down very well. It was all so yummy is all I can say. I thought it was all reasonable priced considering how fresh everything was and the large slices of cake given. Exquisite. The staff were warm and friendly and attentive. The wait for food was reasonable. They seemed to have high chairs and were good with the children. We will certainly be back.

Lovely venue with very attentive staff. We both ordered the full afternoon tea and it didn't fail to deliver. Extremely good sandwiches, cream scone and jam plus a cake of our choice....all were delicious. This was all accompanied by tea in a bone china teapot and cups which would happily be refilled on request.

Visited yesterday. Very busy but the lady on 'Front of house' went the extra mile for every 'party' entering the coffee shop looking for a table. All were accommodated. I have specific dietary requirements and the lady was polite and understanding. They met my requirements and I had a lovely lunch. Overall a lovely coffee shop, cakes are fabulous and cooked on site. A special thanks to the lady serving me, it really makes a change to meet someone who genuinely cares. Food is well presented, prompt and tasty.

We called in here for a quick coffee and cake. On entering the tearoom seating we knew would be a problem due to the fact their were 2 large tables with reserved on them. There were 3 young ladies behind the counter chatting away and after a couple of minutes we managed to get their attention and were shown to the one remaining table. We sat for about 10 minutes before being served even though they were not busy and more staff appeared from the back one of which was carrying a dog water bowl to put outside. We were thinking of just walking out, and at least 2 sets of customers were turned away due to the reserved tables. We ordered cheese scones and cake and two coffees. We were asked if we required butter and jam with the cheese scone!!!! and did we require it warm, which we did. Our order came and the scone was now hot (and dry). We must have been on the premises a good 45 minutes in which time a party of one adult and two children appeared to take one of the reserved tables that sat 6. I can only imagine that custom lost and lack of professionalism is in fact not good for business. The floor was dirty showing remains of other peoples cakes!!

I had a hair appointment so I thought I'd nip in here for a takeaway coffee. I went to the counter and the person serving was chatting to someone, she totally ignored me , no 'sorry I'll be with you in a minute ' etc. After she'd finished her 'chat' she turned her back on me and started doing something behind the counter. I couldn't quite believe it. I thought I'd become invisible. I left and will never return. I went to Cinnamon instead - brilliant friendly staff, lovely coffee and a really nice vibe in there. I've been back since. I do not know how this member of staff at Lilli's is still employed - assuming she is of course....

Lovely setting, tasty food, but oh dear what is it with the tall dark haired waitress? Her attitude was appalling - very 'take it or leave it' attitude and if looks could kill - a glance from her would have you flat on the floor. Such a shame, and now I've read other reviews on Trip Advisor saying similar, I can see it wasn't an isolated incident. Polite, interested and engaging staff are paramount to the success of a business like this. I won't be returning.

Visited the lovely Lilli's on Saturday 3rd February with a friend and her two children. Lovely visit. When I arrived the manageress welcomed me with a cheerful good morning and smile! My reservation had not been put in the diary but I still had my pick of the table available. They have a lovely little corner for children and as my friend was bringing her young daughter it was ideal. Ordered a large pot of tea for us both which came over in a traditional tea pot and the cutest little tea cups. Tea pot was quite heavy though. Once my friend had arrived we ordered some bacon sandwiches, toast for the little'un and I ordered some cake to take home. Plenty of Bacon in the sandwiches which a choice of sauce. Toast came with plenty of jam and butter. We were there for an hour and half and felt welcome that whole time. Oreo cake was delicious and the Bakewell tart moist but needed a little more almond oil for our taste. Only negative is the heavy door that slammed loudly when customers entered and woke my friends newborn up. There was a slight animosity between the manageress and her waitresses that morning due to there lateness. Will most definitely be visiting again soon. Great establishment!

The food ,cake, drinks wonderful cafe lovely . I feel the only thing that lets this place down is the dark haired waitress she gives you a dirty look and has an unapproachable attitude it's like you are putting her out because she has to serve you .No smile or nice words it's such a shame as I love this place .The other girls are lovely it's just one that lets it down.

After several visits to Market Deeping we found this gem tucked away in a little mews development off the main street. Don't be put off by the price of sandwiches; the menu says ' with salad garnish, homemade coleslaw and crisps'. What you get is A SALAD, a complete plate full of food, beautifully made and presented. The cakes, all homemade bar the teacakes, are to die for: I swear I gained weight just standing at the counter to choose! If you can't decide they will cut you two half slices for the same price. Seeing some of the comments about the staff made me think again. The lack of any welcome meant that I had to ask whether we had to order at the counter. Our waitress spilled our jug , of milk on the table and later dropped a glass behind the counter. Admittedly they do work in very cramped conditions. When I came to pay one of the two waitresses was having a break at the back; nothing wrong with that. However I had to catch her eye as the other one was on her 'phone behind the counter with her back to it! Not sure whether they were holiday girls but a little education wouldn't go amiss. Otherwise perfect.

Called in for a coffee. The waitress was busy clearing tables and so I had to wait until she had finished before being served.. This took some time and I was on the point of leaving when she took the order. She was quite rude and didn't say please or thank you. When she brought the drinks she just put them down and departed. Not sure I will visit again as there are other cafes in the area with staff who are more welcoming, polite and friendly.

I have been many times and always enjoyed this charming little cafe/tea room. I am not sure what was wrong today.A very dismal feeling over the place and staff. My coffee was weak very weak, I left most of it. My companions ice cream had loads of ice crystals in which she said wasn't very nice. Shame might have to find another now.

I relocated back to Deeping late last year and visited Lilli's with my mum and sister in law for a cuppa and a sweet treat. We had great service and the vintage feel was fab. The carrot cake is my absolute favourite. In addition I asked Sarah to bake me a cake for my wedding in May and I was taken back by the very reasonable cost and quality that she produced for me and my hubby. I would not hesitate to continue to use Lilli's for all my celebration cakes especially if I can grab a piece of that carrot cake at the same time!

A cracking cup of tea and the most divine cakes in a lovely tea shop. What more do you need? This is a popular place and a booking on a weekend would be advisable.

I have visited the tea room a numerous of times now, it is really lovely place to go very shabby chic vintage feel to it. However, I feel what really let's this lovely tea room down is the staff and service. There is no welcoming when you arrive and your made to feel like your just being an inconvenience to their day. Not even a smile is manageable. Great place, just don't expect a smiley face when you arrive.

This place on face value is a lovely venue...pleasantly decorated and what looked to be nice cakes. The staff were friendly. But what I saw as I sat waiting for my drink to arrive, left me totally shocked. When serving the cakes on the counter, the assistant was actually taking the covers off the cakes on display and...wait for it....placing the cover on the floor whilst she put the cake on plates (lack of space) and then picking the lid up and putting it back over the cake!! By the floor, I mean both the customer side of the counter and behind the counter...dirty and where continuously walked upon by people. To be honest, myself and the people with me were just so stunned at this practice taking place we really didn't know what to do. It's a serious health and hygiene issue. The assistant was young but very capable otherwise and the owner was there and she didn't seem to find it an issue. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this has played on my mind for some time now. Maybe the person involved no longer works there, but this practice of placing the food covers on the floor has to stop. It's just not right.

Everything is just deep fried. Sausages straight into the fryer then burnt to a crisp on the grill, black pudding straight out of the freezer into the microwave then deep fryer. Money touched then straight back to food handling. Disgusting waste of £14. Straight in the bin

Very friendly helpful staff. Nice location just across from Belton House which we also visited. Good selection to choose from. All the members of our family were very pleased with the choices they made. Will certainly return when next in the area.
