Lakeview Restaurant in South Kesteven

We always bring our dogs to woodys when we’re seeing our parents. We haven’t been here for a good 6/7 months. Today we turned up and their is now barriers to get in and out. A staff member came to a window and said it was £5 to park and walk around the park. It’s disgusting how much it costs to even park your car and to walk dogs. I understand the company needs to make money, like £1/£2 the most but £5 to park and walk your dogs around the lake is way to expensive and a total ripoff. Will never be going here again. This is one way to stop people coming to see the lake.

Had dinner last weekend in the restaurant.Portions sizes were ok, not huge but adequate. I have to question the claim of twice cooked chips as they were clearly frozen chips, so maybe they are blanched in oil and then heated up again to order.Had to send one of the mains back as items were missing from the dish but this was rectified quickly and without issues.It was ok, but I don't think I would be enticed to return.

In addition to use as wedding venue (Malden Suite) we also took advantage of the food served over the whole weekend while staying in the lodges, rooms and touring site. Excellent friendly service, friendly staff and a warm welcome. Food outstanding!

Once again Stuart & his team did us proud for the annual prize presentation Sunday lunch. The food & service was excellent thank you very much.

1st visit here, set in a lake location.Lots of space to park.We had booked and that looks the best bet if you want in the restaurant as people turned up but had to eat in the bar area.Service was quick and friendly.We all only had a main meal.Meal was absolutley fine, all food was hot and theybdidnt quibble about the wife having a childs meal.Prices were reasonable, very nice place in the summer to pop and maybe have a walk around.

My last review was not so positive back in May however we had lunch in September and I felt that the menu had changed and were offering more choices on the lunch time menu. We were served my a very nice waitress and the food was good quality and at a reasonable price. Enjoyable visit.

We live locally and decided to come for a walk, food and drink.Ordered drinks and asked for a menu. No menus available!. We left without food and got chips on the way homeBut whoever the miserable chap is behind the bar, he really does need some customer service skills.The lady waitresses were all smiley, however this miserable soul is the one that you first see and he is most unwelcoming.

Party of 6 ordered and paid for food and when it had not appeared an hour and a half later was told it had not been put through to the kitchen. Was offered a bottle of wine but as all the party were nit drinking alcohol we declined and asked for deduction on the bill. Very rude man in a hat said well how much do you want and then huffed when we said 50%. Apparently he hoped we never had a crisis as he was struggling with the pumps for draft beer. I appreciate he may have had a problem but no fault of ours and nothing to do with our order for food. Maybe a course in customer service is required for a few of the employees of this establishment. The food however when it did arrive was excellent.

We were invited to attend a special birthday lunch, and traveled the 100+ miles meet up with old friends. The restaurant is located in a holiday village and is off the main road but the food was excellent. Previous reviews on this site do not do this very good restaurant justice. The food was well prepared and presented, and we were impressed that all the dishes ordered, for our 10 diners, were served piping hot and at the same time. We all enjoyed our food and were able to mix and match dishes from the 3 menus available. We were all very impressed with the quality and deliciousness of the food, as well as the excellent service. An impressive first visit for all of us.

Good food, good service and music nights. This is a clean modern vibe with traditional elements. Fantastic outside seating arrangement overlooking the lakes.

The restaurant is lovely situated over looking the lake and as a family we usually go every other month as our elderly parents enjoy the setting. However the birthday meal was very disappointing and just very average. Three of us had the chicken breast and this was very tough and not much flavour and the house slaw was very disappointing.The menu has changed and I don't think the food is as good.

I think Woody’s is ok but improvements could be made.I had the Chicken Burger and it was very nice but the ‘house slaw’ consisted of some garden salad so this was disappointing. I also didn’t think there was a lot of choice for desserts. Would have liked to see a chocolate fudge cake or chocolate brownie or cheesecake. The rest of the party had desserts but didn’t enjoy them due to the heaps of bitter fruit loaded on top. I think the decor is really dated and I’m not sure we would hurry back.

We went here today , had a table of 15 of us for a family meal booked . The starters.... some had pate which they said was fine .... quite a few of us had the garlic mushrooms.... so disappointing.... a huge serving bowl with very very few mushrooms sat in the bottom in a watery liquid with a very thin slither of garlic bread .... I had 8 pieces of sliced mushrooms and just over a dessert spoon of the liquid!!! We had 2 small children with us ...2 and 5 years old... we asked for a small bread roll for each of them to have as a starter ... we were charged £1.95 for these !!!Main course we had carvery which was quite nice. Desserts.... the brownie was rock solid... almost as if had been frozen and not defrosted properly !!! The apple crumble is more like apple pie and was really really bland.... not sweet and no taste at all... and very hard!!!!! The 2 children had ice cream... £3 each for the scoop!!!! So overall not impressed, I have no problem at all paying £16.95 for a 3 course lunch.... but today’s was definitely not worth that at all, disappointing.

Firstly this is our local so we go relatively often and the food and service is always good. So it was disappointing when we went for the first time after the refurbishment. The decor is great and provided far more seating inside for when the weather is not good enough to sit out. The beer was good although it was a surprise to see that the drafts had been reduced to a couple of mainstream brands. We had walked down for lunch. Hoping to get something substantial for our child and a sandwich or snack for us. Obviously we were aware that the menus had changed but the bar menu now resembles a gastro pub. There were three offerings of sandwich all just under £6. And they were pretty basic (cheese, ham, egg). But in contrast the starters and mains were extravagant. I did not fancy the sandwiches so opted for halumie fries. There were quite a lot but they were simply piled up with a scattering if a balsamic dressing. As a starter it would have been better if the portion had been smaller. It would be the right size as a side for sharing. My husband had a sandwich which was ok. All in all a sandwich, a starter, and a child’s meal with two pints and a juice came to just under £40 which we felt was a little too expensive for a pub. We were disappointed to see the reduction in. Other the beer and food menus and sad to see that the fish finger sandwich and the chip butties had been removed. The food menus is expensive and attempts to cover both the bar and restaurant but falls down for the bars element. I fear that when we return it will only be for an evening pint instead of food.

4 of us had a short fishing break staying in Elm lodge. We ate at Woodys every evening and the food was excellent. We tried various dishes, burgers, mixed grill, pies, pizza and fish and chips. Every meal was well Cooke day and very tasty. and served quickly. They provide excellent value for money. The beer was also first class. One of the bars is do good friendly and has sport on the tv. Overall highly recommended. One tip, unless you’re really hungry, one pizza is enough for two.

Visited for a small gathering with family at short notice. The staff were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. We only had main courses but the choices were fantastic, I had the chicken and prawn combo, which was plentiful and tasted great. The food all round from the other members was full of praise and comments of how much variance in the menu their was. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely be back well done Woodys, good to see a local eatery pushing away from the norm and stepping up! Much improved Many thanks

Well, what a fantastic evening. We brought our Party of 31 to Woodys on Saturday 22nd December. The service was super! The food was hot and served very quick. We asked for more veg and out it came! They couldn’t, do enough for us. Great staff and very well organised. ( Much better that Stoke Rochford Hall in a previous year where the food was cold as was the staff) Well done Woodys! We will come again.

I left a review 2 years ago about woodies as it was wonderful. Just been again and it’s awful. What has happened?

We were recommended Woodys Bar as a place to get something good to eat. It was a great recommendation.We visited earlier today and had someone in a wheelchair, the tables were great for getting the chair under and plenty of space between the tables.The food was great we all shared the Neo pizzas and my husband had the chicken burger. All the food was cooked well and tasted fantastic. it was a shame we didn’t have longer to visit and enjoy the lakes.

We went to Woodys tonight; me, husband and 10 year old son. Lovely atmosphere, nice clean pub. The Resturant was a find! Friendly, helpful staff and fab food. Meal came to around £70 for 2 Sirloin’s, kids meal and a bottle of wine. Food was fabulous, well cooked. Chips were like proper chippy chips, onion rings were lovely and homemade, steak cooked perfect. The kids meal was a good portion for a 10 year old; bangers n mash with nice sausages We will be back again. Highly recommend

Good range on the menu, nice bar and restaurant area with a good choice of drinks. Separate "back bar" which has sky sports, darts, pool table and allows dogs in this area only. We stayed at the campsite (separate review) and ate here on several occasions. The menu is veried and looks very enticing until you actually try and eat something where we found it far too greasy and far too salty.

Once again Stuart & all the staff at Woody’s Bar & Restaurant really looked after us at our Prize Presentation Sunday lunch . The food was excellent & a good time was had by all. Thank you.

On a sunny (all be it slightly chilly evening) we walked to woodys bar for a pint and to feed our child.

Attended a function at this restaurant and it was acceptable. The location was very good and the entertainment was also good. Service was fine and the bar was good. The food was average especially the roast potatoes were obviously pre cooked and re- heated later which made them virtually impossible to eat. My wife also had stomach issues during the night so something had upset her stomach.

Really nice carvery. Service fantastic. Would definitely recommend. Serve bar snacks at reasonable prices.

Stayed for the weekend on site as wife’s Birthday. We attended the Irish Night, which was ok, but Guinness was better and on a good offer being St Patrick’s weekend.

Went in the restaurant for a meal tonight. On arrival we were told that we had to sit in the bar as the restaurant was not open tonight. Was given the restaurant menu and ordered 2 mixed grills and the salmon fillet. This use to be a place that we used often and had the best mixed grill around. Unfortunately not any more. A small piece of tough gammon, steak and sausage with black pudding, mushroom, tomato and chips was served. Not value for money. The prices were more expensive here now than other local restaurants and the desserts were over £6 minimum, such a shame as it is a lovely place. Such a shame that it has put its prices up for the quality of the meals. It was a lot better when it had a separate bar and restaurant menu and the bar meals were competitive.

Wow what can i say,the dj was amazing as per and it took me back to the good old days,apart from the dance floor being to small it was a excellent night.

Delightful welcome from the staff, and we two seniors, plus a young lady of eight, stopped off without a booking for a mid-week lunch.

Wow,first time we've been to a night event at Woodys,what a great atmosphere and the music was amazing,big thanks to the Dj for playing my wifes request and keeping the dancefloor filled and well done bar staff for swift and polite service.

Staying at woodland waters in caravan for the night so went to woodys bar for a meal. Place looks great and staff were also. Had veg lasagne, burger and lasagne carne and all very good. Definitely come back and recommend.

Yet another fantastic meal! Had Xmas lunch with the family and it was beautiful. Staff friendly and attentive as always, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you!

Went for the first time for lunch. Sadly it had to be sent back as it was not something I would pay for. \we were however charged for the replacement food even though the food was awful, sadly not somewhere I would go back or recommend. Also instead of closing to the public, there was a wedding that arrived whilst we ate, they were all standing around the table whilst we ate chatting over us and a photographer flashing away, it all seemed quite awkward. We felt like we were intruding on a private function. The girls behind the bar were very helpful.

Two seniors and a child stopped of for a mid-week lunch. Welcome was warm, and we were seated and menus handed out. Drinks ordered, but staff had to be reminded, as the first course was delivered but the drinks were not. The food quality, for the prices asked were fine, and the OAP special menu is exceptionally good value.

Fantastic Sunday roast. But the rest of the menu is boring. Desserts disappointing , ran out of cheesecake on Sunday lunch.

we eat here when ever we can, never been disapointed yet the drinks and food are of a good price and the view of the lakes aew just an added extra.

Visited Woody’s today for a bit of lunch around 1pm, it was reasonably busy but not crowded and we found a table quickly. We had a look at the lunch menu and saw some sandwiches, I can’t remember exactly what they were but they had a tuna mayonnaise with red onion one which I decided to get, and a few others. My wife said she would like a cheese and onion sandwich (which wasn’t on the menu) so I said I would ask when I ordered. They had grated cheese and onion as fillings for jack potatoes just below on the menu so I didn’t think it would be much of an issue.

Enjoyed lunch out with the family. Excellent value lunch time menu. Food was hot & tasty. Good sized portions. Would definitely recommend

We held our annual Racing Pigeon Club prize presentation at Woodys ,the food & service were excellent . Stuart & all the staff were lovely & nothing was too much trouble for them. A good time was had by all.

17 of us eating a meal in Lakeside restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and relaxing ambience to the whole restaurant. Busy, with lots of people eating but didn't feel crowded. As there were lots of us we had to preorder our starters and mains. These were brought out to us when we gave the signal we were ready. Food was delicious without any complaints and lots of compliments, especially the tomato!! A couple of side orders were missed but once asked for the waitress soon brought these out. Lovely friendly staff that do as much as they can with a smile and very helpful. Overall a fantastic evening out celebrating a special day

Really enjoyed our meal. The service was swift without being too fast to allow for real food. The food was hot and tasty.

Four of us enjoyed a very relaxing and superbly cooked lunch at Woodys Restaurant.

We were allocated a table next to the windows so had a splendid view of the lake and grounds. The service in this restaurant was quick and efficient. We chose from the 'seniors' menu so we had room for 3 courses. Two of us had mackerel and salad as starters and one had garlic mushrooms in a cream sauce; all were as expected and delicious. Mains were lasagne, fish and chips and two had liver, bacon and mashed potatoes. Stick toffee pudding and ice cream were the puddings. All were excellent.

I was treating my grandma as it was her birthday. We had a table booked for 12pm & arrived slightly early at 11.45pm. We then told them we had a table booked and the reply we got back was, 'can you come back at 12pm', we couldn't believe it!. Considering my grandma is in a lot of pain and can't walk very well at the moment and has a stick, I said please can we sit at our table and wait, it's only 15 minutes. We chose carvery, it was delicious!. Then for dessert homemade sticky toffee pudding & ice cream. Service was great. Prices were ok, they trick you with the 2 courses for £12.95 which still works out the same as the meal separate to the dessert.

We were 15 minutes early and rudely told to come back at 12pm for our table. Considering my grandma is in a lot of pain and has a bad back & leg at the moment. Luckily they finally let us sit down. Carvery was amazing & so was the sticky toffee pudding!! £12.95 for 2 courses.. you don't get a deal paying that as they are the same price separate

It was my birthday and my hubby booked a meal at Woodys Resturant. We had two separate meals he had Mixed grill i had my usual steak both were cooked to perfection just how we ordered it. It was a lovely evening and there was a wedding on in the back room plus a bikers meet that apparently goes on first monday of every month. The only slight whinge was pudding wasnt hot but was very nice anyway. Would recommend to go and try it. The staff were lovely and polite especially one younge lady with curley hair worn up. Thankyou all for a lovely evening.

I had the tastiest Sunday roast dinner from the carvery. The head chef was serving and extremely friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and i just wish I lived closer because if eat there every week if i could.

Excellent food, excellent service and excellent value for money! Me and my partner by chance decided to have a meal whilst camping and we are so pleased we did. It was overall an excellent meal and evening!

Hicimos una barbacoa en la noche del viernes. A nuestra llegada, el personal nos saludó y era muy servicial. Dándonos información completa sobre cómo la noche sería administrado y donde teníamos que estar. La ubicación era fantástica, con una zona privada justo afuera para nuestro grupo, y la comida era excelente. Realmente disfruté los muslos de pollo. No me puedo quejar de la noche.

My partner and i hadnt packed anything for breakfast while camping so decided to try the onsite bar/breakfast (served 8-10) we both had the full English (5.95) but they also do bacon baps and lighter options (and a Woody's breakfast 8.95). Comes with everything, sachet sauces and cutlery are on a table so you can collect as many as you like (dogs allowed in bar area if eating inside) staff (managers or owners) who served us very polite , like staying in a hotel! Also had lunch here, partner had meatballs and pasta , i had lasagne, very tasty, partners meal was a bit bland. Maybe just lacking salt? Quick service.

We were advised to go to The Lakeview Restaurant by the owner of Ancaster B&B; for our evening meal , and we were not disappointer . It was an excellent meal with first class service .

we booked on to woodland waters in our caravan, we booked into the restaurant for Friday evening, its very clean, the menu has something for everyone, the staff greeted us as we walked in, I ordered a mix grill, hubby had fish n chips, the meat portions were just enough, but if you have a large appetite, they may not be enough, the fish n chips got a great vote off my oh, the wine list is very good and reasonably priced, loverly to eat here and just wander back to the caravan, the staff are very friendly, the service was excellent, and I would return,

Went to Woodys Restaurant today for lunch and choose food off the Senior Menu. The choice and quality of the food was excellent and very good value.The staff where so helpful and pleasant as one of our party was in a wheelchair.

The bar is really good can't complain at all. The food is good and not over priced. I would recommend to anyone.

We (Bruce & Ian) arrived in torrential rain on weds and set up opposite our caravan in No Carp Bay.We caught a cold but no fish as the Bream started spawning that day and caught nunk except 1 Bream and one 10lb 12 Mirror.

Woodys Bike night is a great event and a chance to regularly meet old and new friend's and a beer or bar meal from the bar is a must, however the burger bar round the back is one to be avoided, having previously seen the lack of hygiene from the elderly cook has been dubious at the best of times, but this week my worst fears were confirmed as I bit into a burger that was still pink in the middle, of course I took it back and got another but the griddle wasn't cleaned regular leaving black grease over all the burgers and obviously were all being "cooked" Too fast hence the pink Centre, as the cook is of an age that would usually be stubborn to change, I would suggest re qualification or a different chef.

Mi pareja y yo a menudo vienen a bosques aguas para caminar un poco y parada en Woody's Bar cuando estamos de hecho. Tiene un ambiente tranquilo y encantador con un fuego de leña para cuando el clima es frío. Las bebidas están bien de precio, aunque no he probado la comida. Un amigo también tenía una boda aquí y fue un excelente lugar para que con un montón de aparcamiento.

We had a lovely family meal,lovely choice on the menu & food cooked & presented to a very high standard.staff were very polite. Would recommend the tuna steak and lemon meringue pie was delicious.will be returning.

Nos alojamos en una de las habitaciones en el hotel, que era preciosa y cerca de la pesca, justo al otro lado de Woodies. Nuestro primer día a la llegada tuvimos una hamburguesa y patatas fritas que no nos podemos quejar, estaba delicioso. Esa noche cenamos en el restaurante y yo pedimos eglefino y patatas fritas, que llegó en unos 25 minutos. Fue una buena porción y delicioso. Sin embargo, mi novio ordenados salmón con verduras y me trajo un pedazo encantador de salmón que fue acompañada por una hora y media y un pequeño bebé patatas plato que contiene unos guisantes de jardín y un trozo de coliflor. El tamaño de la porción pareciera una comida de los avistadores de peso Islandia. La falta de verduras dejar realmente la comida y me dio mi novio de mi cena de media como estaba todavía con hambre. No nos quejamos porque estamos demasiado bonito para hacer una queja. A la mañana siguiente decidimos desayunar allí, después de todo. ¿Cómo puede conseguir un desayuno caliente mal? Bien, desafortunadamente no tenían ni siquiera el tocino en sectores individuales parecía una masa cruda de carne enredada grasos (como el barato comprar en tesco tocino en trozos/distorsión de formas) los huevos estaban fritas, pero tenía la capa de cieno de huevo en la cima, que es esencialmente de huevo crudo. No puedo quejarme ya que dejamos el tocino y huevos. Comimos el pan tostado, sobre salchichas cocinadas y tomates blandos. No escapar muy a menudo y la comida en este lugar fue muy inconsistente, fue una verdadera decepción y yo no recomendaría comer aquí porque parece ser una falta de coherencia con la calidad de la comida que se sirve. Es una pena, ya que el lugar es en un lugar encantador y tiene un gran potencial.

Nos alojamos en bosques aguas para pasar el fin de semana en el Camping y en sus habitaciones en el bosque.

Nos detuvimos después de recomendación de un amigo. Si tan sólo vas para investigar o una comida y bebida no te molestes en park e ir a la recepción. Lugar muy popular para la pesca con algunos pescados en el folleto. Un montón de caravanas. Fuimos para una comida en el bar, que era un poco caro, pero la zona del bar era relajante y agradable. También hay un restaurante para una experiencia mejor. Chalets disponibles con un evento biker cepillada y una noche disco 80. En el fondo hay SKY TV y una mesa de billar con gabinete de helados para los niños o los niños más grandes. Vale la pena una visita para dar un paseo por el lago como es perros.

Agradablemente sorprendido cuando llamamos aquí en una tarde soleada encantadora. El lugar estaba lleno, pero el servicio era bueno y la comida era muy buena. La ubicación es excelente ya que tiene vista al lago y aunque ocupado es sorprendentemente tranquilo y un lugar muy agradable para comer y tomar una copa. Algunos paseos fáciles para un paseo después de comer, viendo la fauna y los pescadores.

Came for a few drinks in the sunshine with my partner and it was as usual excellent, great that they had batemans real ales on tap again this time as they were sold out on 2 previous visits, great walk around the lakes too enjoying a lovely afternoon

Por desgracia, esta fue una experiencia que me hubiese perdido. Un grupo grande de esta noche nos atendieron 80 noche para una fiesta dejando. Fuimos a pedir comida, pero estamos se negó porque llegamos 2 minutos tarde. El personal parecía desinteresado en servir a cualquiera y cuando lo hizo carecía de servicio al cliente. Cuando le pregunté si era posible para comer me recibieron con la respuesta que no había comida que cuando les pregunté por el director afirmó que personal no estaban preparados para alojar más tarde. Quizás si tenían una alerta que hubiera sido más consciente de los horarios de comida. Que lamentablemente perdimos 8 personas comiendo. Sólo puedo concluir que hacer demasiado dinero que desinteresados por sus clientes.

Llamamos al bar el otro domingo. Como teníamos perros, que no están permitidos en la zona del bar, pero por la parte trasera de la zona de bar. Tiene un suelo de baldosas, mesas y sillas para que pueda tomar una comida relajada con el perro. De ellos una mesa de billar, tablero de dardos y gran pantalla de tv. Un tazón de agua para los perros. Pedimos el menú del bar. Yo tenía una lasaña que era muy abundante. La pareja al lado de nosotros pedimos al asador el domingo. Pidieron un miembro del personal para mantener su perro mientras se fueron a conseguir su comida. Muy amable y acogedor lugar para ir.

Leí las críticas de este restaurante y estaba un poco aprensivo acerca de comer allí.

Metimos en un café y comer un bocado. Nos ignoraron en el bar por la mujer que era lamentable que sirve: no, pero los comentarios los comentarios de la gente a la que sirve. Sólo había 3 de nosotros esperando en el bar, pero nos hicieron esperar para las edades mientras ella tomó 10 minutos más para un cliente para conseguir cafés, bebidas y la mayor parte de su tiempo en el hasta presionar botones. No estoy bromeando!

Found this place by accident when we were a little lost and hungry I'm glad we did. Good quality fresh tasty food. Sort of traditional English pub type cooked well. Nice service and great setting. We really enjoyed it

La comida no era de este mundo. Bistec cocinado a la perfección y las comidas de mis hijos eran perfectos. Los platos vacíos. Lo único que sugeriría es que el slim menús desplegables. Hay demasiado variedad y nos llevó mucho tiempo decidir qué queríamos comer. Pero sin duda felicitaciones a los chefs. Gracias woodys! Sin duda volveremos para más ☺

Went for a coffe, clean and presentable, lots of children about, coffee was nice, beer was good, has a tv for sports fans. Restaurant is very big, clean and staff were nice. It was a little plastic looking not refined.

The Sunday carvery is very good . They do nice pub grub . The restaurant is very nice and reasonable prices . The staff are really friendly a great place to go either to eat or just for a drink after a day's fishing .

Eat in the restaurant excellent food my favourite the Lasagne and a great menu with a good selection of meals 4 night we had meals here not one bad meal and their was four of us.

He visitado muchas veces como su local para mí. Si su pedir el snack bar es bastante bueno. El restaurante sin embargo es una verdadera oportunidad perdida y muy mal administrado. Nuestra camarera que estaba claramente en cargos a juzgar por la manera como ella hablaba a los jóvenes camareros amables y camareras, podrían aprender algo bueno servicios al cliente de estas jóvenes, que mostró una actitud profesional y dedicada a nosotros. La comida estaba bien, pero es caro y nada especial. Las porciones son pequeñas. Tuve un flan para llenar me up! No necesita reservar para comer en el restaurante porque con frecuencia doble gente lejos decir completos cuando parece el lugar y permanece vacío! Es una pena, porque el entorno es muy bonito. El bar, el restaurante y los aseos todos limpios.

Went to Woodys on a Saturday night as we were camping on site, went to order food at the bar at 7:45 pm and was told they were not taking any orders until a back-log of orders were completed, this could be in another hour and to expect to wait a further hour for the food to be ready, so looking at almost 10pm until us and our three very hungry children would be able to eat, I asked if we could bring them some healthy snacks in from the campsite to keep them going but they refused and told us that we would have to buy their crisps and chocolate.

La comida se sirve en el menú principal a través del día, es muy buena de un poco caro. El desayuno el domingo estaba frío y salchichas crudas y eso fue después de que mate a esperar más de una hora para la comida. Apreciar estaban ocupados, pero el personal de la cocina en el desayuno era muy, muy pobre. Mejor evitar este momento del día. Espero que el cocinar desayuno se mueve en antes de que alguien se intoxicó con comida si él/ella no tiene ya, por supuesto.

Llamé y una mesa reservada en el restaurante woodys, ya que es un bonito lugar para visitar en familia o para parejas como mucho que ver y un gran lugar de pesca con varios lagos. También cuenta con refugios para reservar lugar muy tranquilo. Sin embargo en esta ocasión una mesa reservada para 4 sólo en uno bien cuando llegamos no tenían reserva en nuestro nombre, no ser disuadida la agradable señora supongo que la directora nos dijo que tomar una copa en el bar mientras ella se encargó. Este fue muy rápido y disfrutamos de una preciosa asados bien preparada que todos disfrutamos. No teníamos una dulce ya que no queríamos, pero la señora nos dijo en vez de menta extra. Gracias un gesto encantador. Por desgracia nos dieron factura mal, así la señora tenía que solucionar nosotros otra vez y en última factura pagada. Todo esto tengo que decir que estaba hecho de una manera muy agradable sin problemas y sin duda volveremos de nuevo, estas cosas pasan y no hubo ningún problema. Mi agradecimiento va para la señora encantadora de vasos para clasificar en tiempo rápido y eficiente.

We first visited last autumn and enjoyed our stay at the caravan site and restaurant so returned for a special birthday this August. The caravan park is lovely and having on on-site restaurant is great. But - Woody's website boasts a different menu to that offered (not as good) and we have to say that the service is pretty poor. We felt sorry for the very young, inexperienced waiting staff who hadn't a clue about the menu, let alone the specials board (which was so badly written none of us could decipher it!). We had booked a table in advance (we had to visit in person to do this, no-one answers the phone) but were surprised to find the waitress's mum and dad sitting there overlooking the lake and were given an alternative table against the back wall. We were in good spirits though, so we took it in good stead in the hope of a nice meal. We had spotted a few dishes on the website we fancied but unfortunately none were on the menu presented to us so we had to compromise. There is no drink/wine menu at all - bizarrely the waitress, who knew even less about wine than she did the food, had to write down the wine options and prices on a scrap of paper as we tried to find out what they had; needless to say we kept the questions as simple as possible for her sake so didn't get much choice. The food starters were pretty basic, with some nice ideas spoiled in the execution, eg deep fried egg and black pudding ruined by being served on a huge dollop of claggy tomato sauce (and a tiny egg), and king prawns over cooked and drowned in a similarly bland tomato offering. We both had steak for mains - ok but lacking any special touches. Overall it just felt like a missed opportunity, a lovely venue spoiled by very inexperienced staff and amateur cooking, a real shame given the lovely location.

A very well laid out bar and restaurant with good ale and choice of drinks. The do a great breakfast in the mornings as well.

Dos ancianos y un nieto parado función speculate realizará un almuerzo para la semana. Todo el lugar le da un aire de estar bien cuidado y muy ordenado. El restaurante y el bar podría decirse que en la época de 'clubes de trabajo de hombres, pero es de una manera tipo chalet y de nuevo bien cuidado y limpio. La bienvenida fue cálida, y el menú está bien para cocina básica. El precio del menú especial 'wrinklies estaba muy bien de precio, y las comidas eran sin duda muy bien preparado y muy adecuado. Menú para los niños fue muy buena relación calidad-precio, y había suficiente variedad.

Este bar/restaurante llamado es pésima. Pedimos la parrillada mixta yo y dos colegas 14.95 libras cada uno que no valía la pena £5. La chuleta de cerdo era un pedazo de carne de 1 ½ pulgadas de tamaño completo. una boca poco El sobresaliente, la grasa en realidad era más grande que el pedazo de sobresaliente. El pequeño pedazo de carne que pedí que hecho de tamaño raro que llegué muy bien hecho duro. El lambs hígado estaba bien. Llegó con ensalada, la cual estaba debajo de todas las carnes. Las fichas de un vino en una independiente guisantes tanto las patatas fritas un plato de guisantes parecía que había sido sentarse bajo un plato caliente por varias horas, además de un buen número de las patatas fritas estaban mal y scraggy. Me resulta difícil creer que cualquier chef enviar esos platos de comida pensando que estaban bien y que valen £14.95. También en el menú que dice cuando ordene la parrillada mixta prepárate para esperar un rato ya que todo es fresco, qué reír nuestro 3 comidas salió a los 5 minutos, así que no era fresco. No hace falta decir que nunca volveré allí de nuevo. Sólo caro aprovechando la basura de los campistas y pescadores.

Excelente relación calidad-precio menú amplia y deliciosa comida sabrosa. Íbamos a estar la noche para ir a un evento de Norte de alma, así que llegamos a las 3 de la tarde y queríamos comer una buena comida. El Lakeland Restaurante perfectamente con una botella de vino para arranque fantástico Ktf.

Vinimos aquí para un almuerzo familiar, cuatro adultos y un niño de tres años, llegué tarde y otros llegaron a todo el mundo antes de la mía - no hay problema. La comida era buena en todos los aspectos. Cuando mi queso Hamburguesa con bacon y patatas fritas llegamos. Me di cuenta de las patatas fritas eran mucho más oscura en color que los anteriores cuatro comidas la familia tenía.

El sitio web de este bar se basa en es encantador y muy servicial, sin embargo fui en ella con mi familia en un viaje de camping. Me pareció que el personal del bar era muy grosero y no muy servicial. Había un grupo de 10 de nosotros que quieren comida y el bar estaba lleno con no suficientes asientos para al de nosotros. Preguntamos si nos podíamos sentar en un restaurante al carro y me dijeron muy grosera que no podíamos pedir fuera del menú del bar en el restaurante. Yo no podía ver por qué era un problema ya que podíamos ver sólo había una cocina y toda la comida viene del mismo lugar. Esto hizo muy complicado para nuestro grupo, ya que no podían sentarse juntos y comer. En una ocasión más tarde mi padre estaba jugando al billar cuando fuimos al bar y dijo que no estaba funcionando la respuesta del gerente fue 'lo que voy a hacer". El personal y el gerente era muy grosero. Volveremos como nos gusta el sitio. Es una pena que el bar le defrauda.

Food lovely and affordable as it was at Christmas a warming log fire going tables were spotless and the customer service superb

Buen lugar de fiesta encantadora habitación, lo suficientemente grande para gran número de clientes de 80 personas, tenían ish áreas que podrías cordon con algunas cortinas blancas si tenía un pequeño número de clientes ya que teníamos unos 45 y la habitación todavía parecía elegante.

Ambiente encantador y muy decente, comida a buen precio. Comí una lasaña magdalena, otros en el grupo había gambas y patatas fritas y jamón, huevos y patatas fritas. Nos hubiera gustado haber ido aquí el viernes pasado! La comida del bar, también puede comer fuera si es lo suficientemente caliente, si no, sentarse dentro y tiene una bonita vista del lago. Niños, perro, personal agradable, muy agradable vegetariano lasaña y pan de ajo. Sin duda volveremos en el futuro, quizás por su comida en el restaurante.

Mi esposa y yo fuimos a Woodys por primera vez y nos fuimos con su hermano y su familia. Todos nos carvey, que es muy bueno que tienen la opción de 3 carnes y luego hay patatas asadas y verduras de temporada y los postres de Yorkshire. Woodys está ubicado en unas hermosas vistas sobre el lago y bosque. También tiene sitio itinerantes y refugios en madera para alquilar. El personal es amable y educado el restaurante está limpio y ordenado. La zona del bar como un fuego que es acogedora en un día frío. Vale la pena una visita. También se puede pescar los lagos. Volveremos

We were staying st woodland waters for a few days and came in here for a bar meal as it was my birthday we sat on a sofa near the log burner I had a bottle of Prosecco my hubby had real ale we ordered myself spicy chicken & a burger for my hubby with sides of garlic bread & onion rings it was tasty and enjoyed it my hubby's burger was really nice too I thought the garlic bread & onion rings might have been homemade but they wasn't, we just sat relaxing and was quite amazed they stop doing food at 2.30 -5.30pm there was quite a few customers who turned around and left when asking about food I was curious to know how much to keep the chef for 3 hours? And how much profit they lost closing the kitchen? It doesn't make sense as there isn't anything local this place is a possible gold mine food for thought

We booked for the Sunday carvery well priced £9.95 for carvery we had starters which was £3 extra I had a pasta dish with mushrooms it was amazing really tasty my hubby had button mushrooms with a blue Stilton sauce again a lovely starter I had the beef & turkey my hubby had beef & pork I would have given 5 * but the beef was tough we asked if they use the local village butcher but sadly no as they don't get enough discount this is a real shame that small villages don't help each other out and use local produce. There was plenty of veg & the mash was the best iv tasted even the horseradish & cranberry sauces had lots of flavour if we lived local we would visit more often but well worth a visit if you stay at woodland waters
