The best restaurants in South Kesteven East Midlands

Have usually been very pleased with food here but last night Chicken Tikka Saag was more mild than medium. I ordered a Chicken Chat starter and a Chicken Tikka starter was delivered, there was not even a mint dressing sent with this. What has gone wrong with this place.

What a great find. Friendly and helpful staff. Great flat white and a delicious cardamom and cinnamon bun. Took my cash without any problem, which I appreciated as this is becoming increasingly rare. Will definitely be back when I next visit Stamford.

Delicious varied menu with well prepared dishes and generous portions. We had a takeaway as staying in a nearby b & b. Staff were helpful, meal ready quickly and well packed in double bags.

Had a great night with the tallington jetski club listening to an excellent live band (Vex) with brilliant friendly staff. If your close by on a Friday night you won't do wrong by dropping by. Thanks for a great night 👌

The venue is wonderful, the service awful. The problem with this bar is that the management simply let the younger staff run it and provide very little oversight. This has been the case on the last couple of occasions I have visited, when the behaviour of other guests has been awful and simply unchecked. I am quite used to rough language in a rough environment but I really do not expect other customers to be using the C word in this premium hotel and no one to intervene. When I did stand up and ask the customer to tone it down, other patrons actually cheered me. This is a really expensive bar and no-one goes in it to be treated like that. It also goes for long periods of time without a member of staff gracing the customers with their presence. There are so many better places in Stamford and not all charge £42 for a meagre bottle of Picpoul de Pinet.

Nice no frills breakfast. Sausages are tastless. Bacon lovely so are eggs but good value tasty brekky. Thank you

Really tasty, well cooked and not at all greasy. Best fish and ships by far. Nice people , friendly and helpful.

Everything is just deep fried. Sausages straight into the fryer then burnt to a crisp on the grill, black pudding straight out of the freezer into the microwave then deep fryer. Money touched then straight back to food handling. Disgusting waste of £14. Straight in the bin

Recently changed to Fat Tony’s so was a bit apprehensive about trying it but was very pleased with the quality and flavour of the food. Two mini fish, a small chips, small Mushy peas and a can of coke was £14.40 and was plenty for two of us. Will return in the future.

Brought a set of knives priced at £99 reduced from £370 and though what a bargain got home and looked on the internet £79 and £84 on Amazon. We called the store and they were not interested and would only offer a credit note! Lesson learnt google before purchasing.

Nearly 2hrs from order to delivery, Compared to other pizza places around very slow, Was very nice though, Would say worth the wait but we were all hungry, Will not use again due to the wait,

Food took a long time to come and the plates were a bit cold. Slight leakage problem with the toilets after flushing. Had to get waitress assistance. I had a lovely bit of BBQ squirrel!

We asked for a delivery 7pm Saturday night, and that's exactly what we got. The food was all piping hot. My very adequate steak pie was accompanied by 3 scoops of mashed potato, broccoli, peas, carrots & parsnips and best of all real gravy, said my gravy expert wife. I've totally forgotten what she had but she was very satisfied with it. We both chose raspberry pavlova - loads of it. All at a very reasonable price.

What a nice change, great place full of character, extremely helpful staff with a smile fantastic selection of beers, I think this place is a must when visiting Stamford
