Scandimania Coffee House in South Kesteven

What a great find. Friendly and helpful staff. Great flat white and a delicious cardamom and cinnamon bun. Took my cash without any problem, which I appreciated as this is becoming increasingly rare. Will definitely be back when I next visit Stamford.

We liked the look of the shop so we went in and sat down. I had to move the dirty cups from our table to another as no-one came to clear them away. My friend went to the counter and the lady saw her standing there but failed to acknowledge her for some time. The lady was preparing food with no gloves on and after my visit to the toilet that made me feel very grateful we weren’t eating there. My hot chocolate could have been hotter and my friends tea the same. The toilet was dirty with toilet paper with faeces on lying on the floor and urine in the toilet with dribbles on the seat. There's was no towels to dry your hands just toilet paper. The cafe itself was dirty, tables left with dirty crockery etc and the shop window inside was very dirty with spill stains. Stamford has a huge collection of Coffee houses so competition is high. I won’t be visiting this one again unfortunately which is a shame.Basic hygiene and cleanliness is not a lot to ask for and is easy to put in place.

I’ve lived in Stamford for nearly four years and I haven’t used another coffee shop since I first went in to Scandi nearly four years ago! Great flat white, friendly staff, great location, tasteful ‘Scandi’ decor…it’s all good, highly recommended.

Delightful coffee house offering a broad range of drinks, snacks and cakes. Charming, friendly, customer focussed staff. Have visited over 50 times and noted that many of the customers are, like me, regular visitors to Scandimania which speaks highly of the establishment. Particularly busy first thing on a Friday which is Stamfords Market Day (both well worth a visit) Highly recommended

My flat white was very good and the waitress pleasant but I find the Inside rather drab and unwelcoming. The furniture is quite minimalist and the chairs are rather uncomfortable.

What an amazing find! We were booked somewhere for lunch & on a birthday visit we decided to pop in for coffee and cake mid morning. It was quite full but we managed to sit in the window & watch the world go by. The service was so friendly. We asked about the cakes & were told exactly the contents & what they thought we would like & wow were they right. We each had something different to share 7 they were all delicious.....a chai latte cake...a rose & a superb chocolate...just perfect & the coffee was just the right strength. They even came over to make sure that we were enjoying it all. We will certainly be back & will try lunch next time. Well done!!!!

Scandimania Coffee Shop Stamford Lincolnshire, makes nice coffee, the tea is OK This place can often be very busy. The service was fine.

My husband and I visit nearly everyday sometimes twice, love the atmosphere and staff are just wonderful, always happy to see you and always time for a little chat ! Wonderful cakes all displayed beautifully in a glass cabinet! The “ buns” are to die for! Yummy with my coffee! It does sometimes get very busy and you must be patient, it’s worth the wait , if there’s a line it means all those people are there for a reason !! It’s a great place !!! There is lots of choice in Stamford for but go for the best and support a great local business !! And try a Bun !!! Yum 😋

To my wife's amazement and shock, our family like to have a cup of coffee and a cake when we visit somewhere - often pretty much as soon as we arrive. As we were going out for lunch we didn't have a cake here though I was sorely tempted. We all had drinks, ranging from coffees to slightly unusual sounding but delicious freshly pressed juices. The juices also looked fabulous with rainbow layers! The service was excellent, they were very busy but calm and friendly. While I was in there ordering several people came in and chatted so they obviously have quite a few regulars

Visited yesterday with a friend. First impressions were good. We liked the general atmosphere and decor as it was a bit different from the many other coffee shop offerings in Stamford. However, it was far from perfect. Service was extremely slow and unfriendly. The menu was small but interesting. I ordered a tea and was disappointed to be served a chunky unapetising a cup of hot water with a teabag in it, rather than a pot. We waited about 30 minutes for our food although the place wasn't busy. When it finally arrived the surly waitress only brought one sertof cutlery and she had forgotten one of our drinks. My open sandwich was delicious but friend's was poor quality. Cakes being uncovered by the till where customers were queuing was unhygienic. Toilet and floor of cafe were very dirty. There was a little courtyard that was full of rubbish which could have been a lovely addition to the business rather than the current eyesore. Too many negatives to tempt me back in a town where there is so much choice.

I’ve visited this coffee shop twice now and both times found the staff either ignore you until they can be bothered to serve you and are rude and dismissive when they finally do. Stamford is full of fabulous coffee shops with super friendly staff so absolutely no need to go back again - far better places on offer.

I visited this establishment in March and was quite impressed. This time having been in a que to be served, I left without using this facility. One of my biggest bugbears in a cafe or restaurant is uncovered food at the checkout area. So it was this time at the pay desk there were a number of cookies etc open to all the elements as customers qued to order items and pay the bill. So food was at risk of having money dropped on it, being coughed over or having childrens enquiring fingers touch it. As I stood in line the lady in front of me was packing takeaway hot drinks into cardboard cup carriers. As she carried out her packing the cuff of her sleeve was brushing over the various food items. Now who knows where that item of clothing has been? It could have brushed against a family pet, been resting on a bank tellers counter, anywhere. Well it certainly wasn’t going to go on any food that I purchased so I left the premises.

It’s hit and miss. The service is always cold. I really like the coffee and bakes which is why I come back. I never stay in because the shop is dark and there is no privacy with the table layout. I like the menu choices - something lighter is always nice. The staff seem to always change. I just wish there was a bit more kindness in the shop - smiles or simply asking how you are - especially as I’m in a lot. It’s just feedback. I like the ideas with the decor but would say better lighting is needed. Juices are good but I think they should cost less - especially as you see them juice about 60p worth of veg into them right before you - I understand you’re paying for the service and actual effort of juicing but it does seem like an extortionate amount (just a suggestion to look at pricing). Better takeaway packaging is needed if you’re ordering lunch (open toast) you should be able to have it properly bagged up to go and comfortably carried. The cake display used to be really impressive and colourful, recently it seems more hit and miss. Sometimes items are squished or half broken and it generally doesn’t have the flare it used to have (special touches with flowers and a clean cabinet). I think grab and go scandi salmon sandwiches would be great. Coffee is always reliable, I like the Carrara beans. I think with tweaks this place can be seriously improved and in a sense restored to its old standards. My main point of issue is the unkind service - you never feel welcome, just another annoying customer.

First visit to this establishment and was very impressed. Coffee nice(sadly no pouring double cream) Banana Cake very good and moist. Staff polite and friendly.

We hadn't been to Stamford for several years but visited this afternoon, 28/3/22. We wanted a tea, cappuccino and cakes and discovered Scandimania, which is a new addition since we were last there. We ordered our drinks and two cakes and these were brought to our table. Two pleasant and helpful ladies serving. My wife really enjoyed her cake AND she is Swedish so that is a good recommendation. Nice, relaxing surroundings. We will definitely call in again when we are next in Stamford.

Really nice decor, clean and welcoming. Love the tiling preserved in the doorway. The coffee was the nicest I have tried for sometime. Prices, well everything is expensive now, yes I would have liked a bigger cup but if I want frothy milk with a...

Really love this place, great coffee and super cake. Personal preference is the blueberry cake. The whole place has a nice vibe and the sandwiches look nice.

dropped in here for a late breakfast on Monday this week, so pleased we did. Just a small order of a hot chocolate, double espresso and a cheese/ham/mustard toastie - great service lovely drinks and the toasties were divine!! thankyou all!!

Delicious choice of fresh cakes every day and very good coffee. Good value for money and friendly staff. They also have a loyalty card to save for a free cup of coffee.
