The London Inn Pub in South Kesteven

Great pub/venue. Often, have live acts on at night at weekends. Didn't have any food, but what other people had looked and smelled amazing. Definitely need to try some next time I'm in there. Staff are friendly. Drinks are a bit more expensive than the wetherspoons across the road, but wetherspoons are barely beaten for price, are they? Definitely be back again.

Been a few time recently and the food is always great!!!

Was a good place for that cheaper meal out but last two meals have been a bit 'ummm' not dreadful just not so nice as they used to be sadly

Really enjoyable Sunday lunch. Staff were super helpful, friendly and on hand. Ordering through the app and direct with the waiting staff was really quick and good and drinks came really quickly. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to our next visit. My only criticism would be that it would be nice to add a tip to the bill as like most people now a days I rarely carry and cash.

Lovely food its definitely worth a try if you are in the area!

We were visiting and staying around Stamford and decided to eat on a Friday evening here, I ordered the mixed grill and my wife ordered the lasagne, the mixed grill was superb and would highly recommend but the lasagne was a bit of a let down and could do with improving but all in all was a nice evening out, **note to chef lasagne need to be in deeper dish with more lasagne in it,**

Lovely food with a great selection

Went for Sunday lunch. Nice roast beef, cabbage, usual roast veg, massive Yorkshire pudding & gravy. I had a child's portion at just under £7 it wasn't much smaller than an adult portion at about £13 and absolutely plenty big enough.

Staff are friendly and accommodating. We had the Eggs Benny and El Diablo crumpet. The eggs were slightly overcooked but both meals were delicious and came with a free drink. A great treat if you fancy something different, but get your order in early as the crumpets are popular. Highly recommended

Arranged a family get together at The London Inn for Sunday lunch. Harry was very helpful with the organisation. We were 13 adults, 2 children and a baby. The roast dinners were huge and very nice. Great value too. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Our waiter was Mason and there was a lovely lady whose name I didn’t get but they were both an asset to the pub.

Went here for lunch while visiting Stamford for the day. Good selection of drinks and food menu was as you would expect, hearty and reasonable for a tourist town. Staff were friendly and polite. Would consider going again if we return to Stamford.

Not withstanding the owner is a Man Utd fan, the food was excellent and plentiful. I can appreciate though why my sister did enjoy the place; and the next time I'm back home from Canada I'll drop in again

Nice place felt welcome and comfortable

Met several friends for some drinks and burger. Had the Rib tickler which was very tasty. Band came on to play later in the evening and they were great knowing all the good pub classics.

Lovely as always at the London inn. We come here a couple of times a year when in the uk and we are always looked after well. Food and service is top 😀

Really nice time here. We stopped for Sunday roast and loved it. We came at 3pm and paid about £13 for a roast but believe it is on offer from 5pm Sundays. Highly recommended

Wife and I had Sunday dinner, very disappointed meat tough and rubbery roast potatoes looked like they had been reheated.

Response to replie. That is not true, i was not offered gluten free menu, was told what i could have and made to sign waiver ! not bother going if you are gluten free , they make you sign a waiver before you eat, food not great . I would of walked out and not signed ,but my daughter wanted to stay.

Once a month my wife and I (retired couple) drive from Bourne to Burghley House, park up there and then walk through into Stamford town centre and walk round the shops and street market stalls. We finish our outing by having lunch in The London Inn. We have always enjoyed prompt and friendly service and great food. I like to order things on the pub website which means we don't even have to leave our seats to place our order. Works great for us !

We had a birthday meal for my partner’s 25th birthday with family and friends and Harry made the whole event so well organised and perfect! There were no issues at all and the food, as always was amazing! Thank you so much for making the evening really enjoyable, we can't wait for our next visit!

Really nice breakfast, good service, interesting decor

My family and I, including our four-year-old daughter, decided to visit this place on a whim for lunch, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a casual meal. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious—everything we ordered exceeded our expectations (recommended the tapas). We’ll definitely make it a point to return whenever we're in Stamford.

First time visit on a Thursday lunch/afternoon. Nice place , clean and tidy . Friendly and efficient staff . Food was really good - portion sizes big ! Tender steak in the pie . Gravy was lovely . Reasonable prices. Plenty of choice of food . Next time we in Stamford would go again .

Really enjoyed our meal at the London inn. The classic burger with extra Brie and fries onions was amazing! Brewdog o% on draft also. Highly recommended.

Went after 6pm for a budget carvery. Great food but the kitchen closes at 7pm. They stayed on to sort out desserts for the kids. Great service

Can't fault the London Inn. Had a family get together today, 20+. The staff were excellent, made ordering and paying easy. The food was excellent as normal, people who'd never been before had the 'King' roast (those ain't aunt Bessie yourkshires! 😋), and all commented positively. As I said, Can't fault the place, the staff and the manager.

Ended up here after a recommendation from another pub when we were looking for food. What a good choice. Nice friendly place with efficient service. Large selection of food available, my wife even had a cooked breakfast at 12:00, I had some comfort food - sausage and mash. Both delicious meals and arrived piping hot. Would definitely go back

You spend your money and a lot of money and then you’re told to leave the area for cleaning very rudely! Rude staff!

This is a pleasant larger town pub. Plenty of varied seating and plenty of room. Quiet on a Monday. About half those there during our visit were also eating there. Service at the bar was unduly slow and the 3 staff seemed to be in a go slow competition between themselves.

Went for our Sunday dinner and was totally blown away. The food was delicious meat really tender and plenty of vegetables, well looked after by staff, totally recommend we both had the king roast

Had pie of the day, which was Steak and ale. Plenty of big pieces of meat and lots of gravy.

What a fantastic place.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.. me and me wife went for our anniversary on the 03/06 the food and service was 10/10. we went back a week later to celebrate my birthday with our children and in-laws. Once again fantastic service from the whole team, the lead waitress was the unbelievably helpful. Hats off to the chef and their team amazing food and amazing job.. fair play and thanks again.. amazing night and highly recommend this place.. 🫡

It was OK for a quick meal but that's about all. Nothing really wrong but no more than the 3 stars above.

Very quick service and good feel to the pub and clean.

Light atmosphere, a lot of different sitting areas, including patio. Food could be improved - halloumi fries are oversalted.

First time here at this very busy pub - extremely busy & popular. Between us we had burgers and pies. All very good, tasty and large portions - recommended.

Popped in by chance for Sunday dinner. Lovely meal with freshly cooked veg and crispy roasties and very reasonable price. Very busy noisy place ...football was on...so not everyone's cup of tea

Great place to watch live sports with a drink (apart from when the young barman tried to turn them off during the penalty shoot out!)

Used to come here a lot and always had great food so decided to book for mother's day. Food was good as usual however the management were terrible!! We came upstairs and found our reserved table before being rushed for drinks orders and then rushed for food orders but this wasn't during a massively busy period (half the tables filled and only 1 more booking from what we saw). Originally we put this down to the server but we overheard the managers telling them to hurry up constantly. We then witnessed the managers (i pressume) screaming across the pub at the waiters multiple times to do this do that when they were already running around stressed. Towards the end of the night two servers were re arranging the tables back to their original place and exchanged 1 sentance max just for the manager to sternly tell them "less talking more working". Certainly not a welcoming environment and i can imagine your staff turnover is so high with management like this 😳 The male manager told one of the servers to take our payment while we were still eating (there was still around 6 tables left so we weren't just the annoying table that won't leave). The experience was so rushed and unpleasant due to the shouting ect especially on mother's day. Hope this was a one off.

One of the worst pub dining experiences I’ve ever had! You don’t expect much from a pub, just for the food to taste alright & a reasonable price. If this is what you expect save your money and eat somewhere else. A bill of near on £80 turned out 2 vegetarian burgers “the ones you get from the Lidl frozen section”, a bland lasagna & some overcooked halloumi.

A lovely find when travelling North to South. Much better than services on the main roads. Food excellent. Staff friendly. Toilets exceptionally clean. Great atmosphere in pub. Thank you.

Cold beer and quick food service

Called for a drink and food while visiting Stamford, and had a great Sunday roast. Good value for money with amazing Yorkshire puds. Friendly staff too .

The food and drinks were amazing along the staff, but when the band started playing I had to leave, because they were horrid, not only she couldn't hold a note was off key the whole time.

We came as a family to eat Sunday dinner and we loved it! The food was excellent and the portions huge! The servers were also adorable!

Didn't eat, but I expect it would be excellent. Everything else about this place was. Would visit again.

Great pub, we didn't eat but food looked ok

Food was fantastic, huge portions and very tasty! It was busy, but staff were reasonably attentive, and the crowd made the atmosphere quite noisy, but this just proves how popular the Inn is!! Very reasonably priced food and drinks, able to order from the QR code efficiently (but it could do with updating, as it was not possible to see the details of the dishes) 10/10 would come back.

The lady behind the bar was truly lovely and could not have done more to help. The food was epic and at a very good price can definitely and will recommend them to anyone

I visited the London Inn with family, a party of six. We were seated at the table and while we waited for the rest of the party to arrive, we ordered drinks on the App as the staff were too busy playing on their phones and chatting. After some time, a lady came and stood at our table, and shouted across our table and into the next room at the staff that were chatting, telling them she needed some help. The attitude of the young guy that was ‘working’ was appalling, he clearly didn’t want to be there, and it showed. The food was actually good, we had 4 king roast and 2 roast lamb, all food was nice and it was hot. The customer service didn’t improve at all during our visit, so there is no plans to revisit, which is a shame.

Just came for lunch, looked online first to make sure there were vegetarian options. Nice selection. Both had halloumi and chips and it was really nice. Service very friendly and came out quickly. 2 big meals and 2 drinks £24. Very happy. Will definitely return thank you . 😊

Fantastic breakfast, plenty of memorabilia on the walls. Good choice on the menu. The smaller breakfast was perfect size. You can add extra if you want something else. Pancakes were also a good choice. Great place to eat

The staff are courteous and understand the covid situation. One way system is ok but downstairs exit could get busy with people trying to get to bar. Had breakfast upstairs this morning the room was cold.

Absolutely love this place from being able to have a cool beer(when open) to a bite to eat. They do a excellent food with a good menu choice, from street food to a Sunday roast. We have loved getting a roast on a Sunday when we haven't felt uo to cooking and they have never let us down yet

Went with my girlfriend for a Sunday roast. I went for the "King-size" or biggest option (with 3 massive Yorkshire puddings) with 3 meats. Service was excellent, Sunday roast was as good as I've had anywhere local, and very filling! Pretty much everything you could ask for, but be aware the prices are a little higher than some other places.

Decent pub but relatively expensive

Absolutely NOT dog friendly, shoved out on a windy balcony with no protection is not dog friendly, the staff are far from friendly as well. Shall not be returning!

Great food at a reasonable price

I visited this Lovely old but modern Drinking and Eating Establish on the Saturday the day before Christmas Eve. What a Great Live Entertainment venue. Live Bands play there. Atmosphere is really Great. Friendly and Welcoming people having a Good time. I absolutely Recommend You go and visit this Historical Stamford Pub and Multiple Restuaranted Venue. Work Christmas meal at a reasonable price location

A different from the norm venue with some creative ideas on the food, had the Xmas special burgers, very very nice . Pleasant staff. A few tables left uncleared of plates / glasses etc and some of the team clearly more on it than others, would definitely recommend

We popped in as passing staff were friendly and had some food . Recommend the festive burgers and we’re they lovely 😋 Good drink selection . One criticism the walky talkies when foods read that’s only thing but that’s my niggle . We will be back for sure and would definitely pop in if you’re in the town .

Brilliant night at The London Inn for our works Christmas party! Private party on the top floor with a private bar and our own personal bar staff. Food was great and the room look brilliantly festive. Cannot fault Harry who took our 3,589 meal/number amendments in his stride and with a smile on his face. He could not do enough for us all and made everyone feel like a VIP on the night. Perfect host. Would definitely come back again and would recommend the private function room upstairs as a great place for a party. Thank you to the team at The London Inn

Great atmosphere, food and service

I've been here a few times, clean and tidy, staff are approachable, and the atmosphere is good.

2 consecutive weekends in the London inn, 2 large parties. Amazing food and service, always with a smile. Thank you to all those behind the scenes that send out such fabulous food. Thank you to those that must do a million steps a day making sure we get our drinks orders!! Special thanks to Harry, who is always on the other end of the phone! very accommodating and friendly, an amazing manager. I hope they pay you well you earn every penny and more. Best pub in town 😀

Went in the London for dinner and myself and my wife and I were not disappointed, the Mrs had the roast beef and said the whole meal was cooked really nice, I had the lamb and I have to say every mouthful was delicious. Inside the London was very clean and welcoming, The staff were really good, polite and friendly. I would recommend anyone going to Stamford to nip in The London.

Myself and a group of friends have been going to the London Inn for our Christmas get together for 9 years now. We always go back because the menu is delicious, the portions are generous, the price is great for 3 courses, the atmosphere is fab and Harry who organises it all is simply awesome. He remembers us every year and goes out of his way to make us have a great evening, nothing is too much trouble and we always have a good laugh with him. The meal is great but Harry makes the evening fun and memorable. Thank you for the last 9 years Harry....heres to the next 9 and more!

Regularly have a great lunch at the London, good food and selection of Beers. Harry and team always treating us well.
