Love a london inn Saturday night

I visited this Lovely old but modern Drinking and Eating Establish on the Saturday the day before Christmas Eve. What a Great Live Entertainment venue. Live Bands play there. Atmosphere is really Great. Friendly and Welcoming people having a Good time. I absolutely Recommend You go and visit this Historical Stamford Pub and Multiple Restuaranted Venue. Great standard place to go in Stamford

Cracking pub with really high quality food; wanted to rate as a four as the drinks prices do seem very inflated when compared to similar pubs in the area - but my visit was faultless other than slight downside. Will be back!

Wonderful Sunday lunch. Can't fault anything. You will not leave here hungry. Thanks to Nick and his lovely staff.

Had my partners 40th celebrations here at the weekend at the London inn. There were 16 of us having food and drinks. The manager dealt with the party beautifully speaking to us before hand for a pre order, to organising the cake and keeping a table open for us downstairs to watch the entertainment later on. We were in for the Rugby, stayed all afternoon and had our meal early evening. The food ranged from £10-£15 and is really good value homecooked pub food. The beers are reasonably priced and a good selection. We also had a few cocktails later on. We stayed until midnight to hear the DJ and it transformed into a late bar with people dancing. Overall highly recommended as the staff were lovely.

Really nice time here. We stopped for Sunday roast and loved it. We came at 3pm and paid about £13 for a roast but believe it is on offer from 5pm Sundays. Highly recommended

Today I went to the London Inn for the first time in years, it hasn't changed much, there is a pub atmosphere when you come in, and we quickly found ourselves seating. We had a very happy gentleman who came over and took our order, the food came out quickly and it looked lovely. My baby (just turned 1) was there and I ordered him the fish and chips from the childrens menu. I had a very nice 6oz steak, chips and a bit of rocket on the side from the 2 for £20 menu as did 2 of my 3 guests, the other ordered a cheese and ham panini from the same menu. We were celebrating one of their birthdays. We also ordered 3 pots of tea and 2 soda waters. When the gentleman came back he asked if it was good and I agreed, it was a very lovely steak. Now it kind of went a little downhill as I realised that the birthday girl hadn't eaten much, her cheese and ham panini was very hard and dry, so she left it as she is not the type to make a fuss. When I went to ask for the bill he again asked how it was, I confirmed that the steaks were lovely but the panini wasn't and hadn't been eaten, he raised his eyebrows but didn't say anything. I will say that I wasn't expecting not to pay for the meal, but I also wasn't expecting for him to ignore my comment altogether. I also asked him if they had realised there was no pricing on the kids menu items, he said that alot of the menu is wrong, including some of the prices anyway and again just dismissed me. My guests couldn't stop talking about how rude this was. I asked for a dustpan and brush so I could clean up after my child (as I always insist on doing, he is my responsibility) he told me he would do it and bless him he did, which I thought was really nice. Then he decided to tell me about a family he had asked to stop coming in as there children were so messy smearing peas on the windows and rubbing them into the floors on purpose, I said that if that was a case they sound neuro-diverse, which he said "no they just get their own way to much and are now spoilt". Which again made me not sure about this gentlemen. This also upset one of my guests hearing the conversation as she has neuro-diverse children and couldn't believe how dismissive he was but was happy to bad mouth them and their mum. I rated it down the middle as it wasn't a particularly bad experience but I certainly won't be returning, neither will any of my guests. £60 was the bill, which 4 of the meals were as I said 2 for £20, which means that it cost £20 for one children's meal, 2 glasses of soda water and 2 teas - go figure! I'm going to save my money and go elsewhere where I can talk to the staff without bring dismissed or have to hear moaning about other people.

What a nice change, great place full of character, extremely helpful staff with a smile fantastic selection of beers, I think this place is a must when visiting Stamford

Food great , service was poor. Waited at the bar and the staff served four people out of turn . Poor customer service two other people said the same. Disappointing

Me and my husband visited yesterday 24/2/25 to celebrate a special occasion and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The food was just beautiful, the portion sizes were huge we were definitely in a food coma afterwards! Compliments to the chef!! All staff were so lovely. Highly recommend visiting we will 10000 per cent be back!! Thank you so so much for our chocolates. Anna & Liam x

Called in here last night after reading the good reviews We are here for a weekend stay so fancied food in this place Big mistake Walked to the bar to be totally ignored by the 3 barmen even tho I was the only person at the bar Eventually one of them said , without looking up , yes ?? I asked if they are still doing food and was told for 15 minutes by this guy again without looking up His colleague quickly corrected him and said that’s now 10 minutes This guy had his back to me while he corrected his colleague Needless to say we left the building Shocking staff

I had the Smothered Chicken, the bacon tasted burnt, the chips had a black sort of taste to them but looked OK on the outside, otherwise an alright dish. Friendly staff, would try something else next time.

Very very good Sunday roast. Competitive price. Huge Yorkshire pudding fresh made and tasty.

I was to have a Sunday roast. I ordered with lamb, the dish was not as tasty as the last time I was here. Less gravy, less veggies, and a problem with spices. I asked for salt and pepper that were missing from the table and they brought a container of pepper that was empty, I had to go to the bar to ask for another one. It seems that the quality of products and services has decreased, only prices are increasing. I'm sorry to have to write a less favorable review, but that was the reality. I still have a good opinion of the London Inn.

Visited recently with in-laws. Lovely place. Good food. Sunday roast was delish. My father in law had lamb but unfortunately it wasn’t cooked properly and it was still raw. Other than that it was a nice experience.

Amazing Sunday roasts. Tasted perfect and the portions are extremely generous. Great drink selection, too. Service was brilliant and friendly.

Came here for our works Christmas Lunch. Harry was very friendly and helpful as were the rest of the team. Food was lovely and good portions. Stayed for drinks after and it was a nice and relaxed vibe. Will be coming again.

Having been unable to go to our planned Sunday lunch venue due to a power cut we (me, OH and nearly 70 year old dad) were looking for a walk-in and thought we'd try the London Inn. We not only walked in and found a table but a comfy booth at that. Ordered three roast beef Sunday lunches and a couple of sides and they were out blindingly quickly and absolutely delicious. Unlike many Sunday roasts, the beef was super soft and tender, the potatoes were fresh and the Yorkies were huge! My OH had a side of cauli cheese which he also really enjoyed. The pub got busier over time but we never felt rushed and after a rest my OH and dad had a pudding, both hearty and delicious (I may have tasted a spoonful or two!). Drinks on offer are good with Aspall's on tap for cider drinkers (me) and plenty of options for draught beer (dad and OH). The staff were absolutely lovely throughout, very friendly, helpful and chatty. Overall a really lovely place, a "'proper" pub with a great atmosphere, lovely food and nice people. What more could you want for a Sunday lunch!

Had a works xmas party here, couldn't believe how busy the pub would be. Great attitude, people enjoying themselves the food was really good, no wonder company's have doe's here great pub

Had our Choir social get together last night - We had a FABULOUS evening. Food was delicious, hot and brought out very quickly. Harry the Manager was simply brilliant - despite having other parties and being extremly busy he found the time to ensure we were looked after and made sure everyone was happy - nothing was too much trouble. Cannot fault the service, the food and all the staff - 5 star rating from us.

Was pleasantly surprised, although I had used this many times in the past, the vegan food and service was brilliant.

Fantastic venue, Sunday dinner including vegetarian one was delicious and generous portions. Poppy was a great waitress, seemed genuinely friendly and helpful. We will definitely return when next in Stamford 👌

We have just had an excellent meal in the London Inn in stamford. A very warm welcome, lovely atmosphere table service was instant i had a mixed grill and the wife had the smothered chicken .cooked to perfection. We will be back very soon

The most ridiculous pub ever , they printed a disclaimer form for me to sign for an order of chips when I told them I was just gluten sensitive and not coeliac! They also asked us to keep our dog quiet when it's a pub, he wasn't even making much noise . Stay away it's not worth you visiting.

Mum and I were on coach trip. We were on our way to London and Windsor and Stamford was our first stop. We only had a couple of hours for a wander and some refreshments. We popped into The London Inn Pub for a bowl of chips and half an ale, which were delicious. The staff were lovely and welcoming and even opened upstairs for us. They then surprised us with two more halves on the house, which was a great start to our holiday! We would love to revisit Stamford for longer, and when we do The London Inn will be our first point of call!

Good simple bar food. A lot better than many of the 'fancy' tea/coffee houses that have run amok in Stamford!

We love this place, the food is way above the usual and very good value for money

Had pie of the day, which was Steak and ale. Plenty of big pieces of meat and lots of gravy.

Excellent service pleasant staff food was brilliant large Yorkshire puddings food was all fresh and good portions well priced.

Great pub/venue. Often, have live acts on at night at weekends. Didn't have any food, but what other people had looked and smelled amazing. Definitely need to try some next time I'm in there. Staff are friendly. Drinks are a bit more expensive than the wetherspoons across the road, but wetherspoons are barely beaten for price, are they? Definitely be back again.

Was a good place for that cheaper meal out but last two meals have been a bit 'ummm' not dreadful just not so nice as they used to be sadly

Really enjoyable Sunday lunch. Staff were super helpful, friendly and on hand. Ordering through the app and direct with the waiting staff was really quick and good and drinks came really quickly. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to our next visit. My only criticism would be that it would be nice to add a tip to the bill as like most people now a days I rarely carry and cash.

Lovely food its definitely worth a try if you are in the area!

We were visiting and staying around Stamford and decided to eat on a Friday evening here, I ordered the mixed grill and my wife ordered the lasagne, the mixed grill was superb and would highly recommend but the lasagne was a bit of a let down and could do with improving but all in all was a nice evening out, **note to chef lasagne need to be in deeper dish with more lasagne in it,**

Lovely food with a great selection

Went for Sunday lunch. Nice roast beef, cabbage, usual roast veg, massive Yorkshire pudding & gravy. I had a child's portion at just under £7 it wasn't much smaller than an adult portion at about £13 and absolutely plenty big enough.

Staff are friendly and accommodating. We had the Eggs Benny and El Diablo crumpet. The eggs were slightly overcooked but both meals were delicious and came with a free drink. A great treat if you fancy something different, but get your order in early as the crumpets are popular. Highly recommended

Arranged a family get together at The London Inn for Sunday lunch. Harry was very helpful with the organisation. We were 13 adults, 2 children and a baby. The roast dinners were huge and very nice. Great value too. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Our waiter was Mason and there was a lovely lady whose name I didn’t get but they were both an asset to the pub.

Went here for lunch while visiting Stamford for the day. Good selection of drinks and food menu was as you would expect, hearty and reasonable for a tourist town. Staff were friendly and polite. Would consider going again if we return to Stamford.

Not withstanding the owner is a Man Utd fan, the food was excellent and plentiful. I can appreciate though why my sister did enjoy the place; and the next time I'm back home from Canada I'll drop in again

Nice place felt welcome and comfortable

Met several friends for some drinks and burger. Had the Rib tickler which was very tasty. Band came on to play later in the evening and they were great knowing all the good pub classics.

Wife and I had Sunday dinner, very disappointed meat tough and rubbery roast potatoes looked like they had been reheated.

Lovely as always at the London inn. We come here a couple of times a year when in the uk and we are always looked after well. Food and service is top 😀

Response to replie. That is not true, i was not offered gluten free menu, was told what i could have and made to sign waiver ! not bother going if you are gluten free , they make you sign a waiver before you eat, food not great . I would of walked out and not signed ,but my daughter wanted to stay.

Once a month my wife and I (retired couple) drive from Bourne to Burghley House, park up there and then walk through into Stamford town centre and walk round the shops and street market stalls. We finish our outing by having lunch in The London Inn. We have always enjoyed prompt and friendly service and great food. I like to order things on the pub website which means we don't even have to leave our seats to place our order. Works great for us !

We had a birthday meal for my partner’s 25th birthday with family and friends and Harry made the whole event so well organised and perfect! There were no issues at all and the food, as always was amazing! Thank you so much for making the evening really enjoyable, we can't wait for our next visit!

My family and I, including our four-year-old daughter, decided to visit this place on a whim for lunch, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a casual meal. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious—everything we ordered exceeded our expectations (recommended the tapas). We’ll definitely make it a point to return whenever we're in Stamford.

First time visit on a Thursday lunch/afternoon. Nice place , clean and tidy . Friendly and efficient staff . Food was really good - portion sizes big ! Tender steak in the pie . Gravy was lovely . Reasonable prices. Plenty of choice of food . Next time we in Stamford would go again .

Really enjoyed our meal at the London inn. The classic burger with extra Brie and fries onions was amazing! Brewdog o% on draft also. Highly recommended.

Went after 6pm for a budget carvery. Great food but the kitchen closes at 7pm. They stayed on to sort out desserts for the kids. Great service

Can't fault the London Inn. Had a family get together today, 20+. The staff were excellent, made ordering and paying easy. The food was excellent as normal, people who'd never been before had the 'King' roast (those ain't aunt Bessie yourkshires! 😋), and all commented positively. As I said, Can't fault the place, the staff and the manager.

Ended up here after a recommendation from another pub when we were looking for food. What a good choice. Nice friendly place with efficient service. Large selection of food available, my wife even had a cooked breakfast at 12:00, I had some comfort food - sausage and mash. Both delicious meals and arrived piping hot. Would definitely go back

You spend your money and a lot of money and then you’re told to leave the area for cleaning very rudely! Rude staff!

This is a pleasant larger town pub. Plenty of varied seating and plenty of room. Quiet on a Monday. About half those there during our visit were also eating there. Service at the bar was unduly slow and the 3 staff seemed to be in a go slow competition between themselves.

Went for our Sunday dinner and was totally blown away. The food was delicious meat really tender and plenty of vegetables, well looked after by staff, totally recommend we both had the king roast

What a fantastic place.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.. me and me wife went for our anniversary on the 03/06 the food and service was 10/10. we went back a week later to celebrate my birthday with our children and in-laws. Once again fantastic service from the whole team, the lead waitress was the unbelievably helpful. Hats off to the chef and their team amazing food and amazing job.. fair play and thanks again.. amazing night and highly recommend this place.. 🫡

It was OK for a quick meal but that's about all. Nothing really wrong but no more than the 3 stars above.

Very quick service and good feel to the pub and clean.

Light atmosphere, a lot of different sitting areas, including patio. Food could be improved - halloumi fries are oversalted.

Popped in by chance for Sunday dinner. Lovely meal with freshly cooked veg and crispy roasties and very reasonable price. Very busy noisy place ...football was on...so not everyone's cup of tea
