The Royal Queen in South Kesteven

Nice looking, good atmosphere and while we only went there for an afternoon drink, it looked very family friendly with lots of space.

Had a few pints watching England vs Switzerland. Good atmosphere. Had a DJ playing some bangers. 😀

We have done many many balloons & decorations for parties held at Royal Queen. Sarah is always very helpful and working with us happily to arrange suitable places for us according to our clients needs. Sarah is always very flexible with prop collection times as well We are very happy to decorate any events and parties at the Royal Queen.

I recently organised a surprise party for a gathering of 35 guests at the Royal Queen. From my first point of contact Sarah ( the landlady) could not have been more accommodating and her communication throughout was excellent, always responding to any queries very promptly. There was no charge for the private use of the room but a stipulation that catering requirements would be done in house at a very reasonable cost. The pubs has a generous car park for guests and a beautiful beer garden, inside was spotless and welcoming and there is a good range of beverages on offer. Sarah and the team allowed me access to decorate the day before the party and offered me the use of an Excellent Bluetooth speaker so I could curate a personal playlist for the day, which was such a nice touch . The team went over and above to assist me and ensured all my plans for the occasion ran smoothly and everyone had an amazing time. Many thanks to all involved at the Royal Queen

Attended a 40th birthday party at The Royal Queen in Grantham, don't usually go to the pubs much these days, our experience was great here, the staff were lovely, the place was clean and comfortable, a good time was had by all, Thank you.

We go here now and again for the Sunday roasts. The roasts are really good, a real home made Sunday roast, none of this rushed tasting food you get from a lot of pubs. They also serve a good variety of drinks and always seem to have a nice ale on. Would definitely recommend

We popped into the Royal Queen for a drink yesterday. The lovely owner Sarah and her partner were very welcoming. The regular customers were very friendly and made us feel at home. The pub is beautifully decorated and has a very happy feel. We look forward to returning to this wonderful pub. Love Perri and Louise

When we went today there was a great local singer - called Marlene J.

Hired a room for my Dad's funeral wake. From first enquiring to the wake everything was excellent. Sarah was very helpful. Good selection of food, catered for all tastes. Would highly recommend this venue. Excellent value and service.

My husband and I hired out a room at the Royal Queen for a party to celebrate our wedding abroad. From the moment we first enquired to even after the party, the owner was just amazing! Nothing was a problem or too much to ask. We got married in Mexico so thought it would be nice to give the party a Mexican feel and the team at the Royal Queen delivered the most wonderful Mexican buffet, welcome drinks... the owner allowed us to put up whatever decorations we wanted as though the room was ours and gave us a private area outside too. And everyone was so friendly! I cannot recommend The Royal Queen highly enough! A truly wonderful pub run by truly wonderful people.

A good clean,friendly and spacious pub. There is a large beer garden to the rear with a children's play area. This pub is dog friendly and relaxed. Also because of its size,and the fact that it has two rooms, it would be a good option if you wanted to organise a venue.

Nice atmosphere, clean, family friendly, good choice of alcohol and even had mulled wine on Christmas Eve!

My first visit popped in today with dog for quick afternoon pint Very welcoming pub shame no food or disabled toilets available but sign of times with short staff .has great potential will definitely return

The pizza here is awesome, homemade and good value for money. Will be trying lots off the menu although not sure the pizza can be beaten. Lovely and clean with lots of space inside and a lovely garden outside. Well worth a visit

Just had the most amazing Fish and chips, well done Keiron and thank you Sarah and Kelly. Can’t fault the service and atmosphere. Beer garden is beautiful and ideal for the hot weather.

Went for fish and chip dinner today with my mother as her first treat out since lock down. Highly recommend. Compliments to the chef.service was exceptional as well.

In the throws of having the decor updated. The staff are plesent but the whole place seems tired needs alot of TLC.

Visited with another couple to take advantage of the special Valentine menu. Free glass of bubbly on arrival. 4 starters and 4 mains, all delicious. I had scallops to start and venison bourguignon for main. Too full to have pudding. 4 happy people with full bellies.

Great pub. They do a Bi-weekly pub quiz on a Wednesday. Pretty well attended and worth your time. Will be going back

My husband had the ham and pea pie and he said was delish freshly made came with veg and chips. I had the southern fried chicken burger and was very nice too. Always lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere.

we called into the Royal Queen Thursday afternoon, was given a very warm welcome soon as we entered, ,we both hop for steak medium rear , ,wow was this good by far best steak we have had in a pub,, steaks were cooked to perfection great beer & wine , this is a good pub for children large play area out back ,and is dog friendly , staff are very helpful ,and caring we will be calling in again

Had whitebait starter & Liver, onion, mash and green beans all for £8. Dawn had cheesy mushrooms & Scampi & Chips. Great value for money and quality food. Well done Josh & Kelly fully recommend the food

Well priced if smaller portions than last time visited. Must have new chef as food took a whole despite only 3 tables in. Bar lady very polite kept us updated with food progress and my mums particular dietary requirements. Overall still a place I'd eat at. It chef needs to speed up.. Oh and fish is smaller than last time.. The last visit prior was a whale on the plate.

Best pub for families,in grantham

Visited last night with family and our dog for evening meal. We were staying near here for a one night stop over on our way home. The pub itself seemed like a traditional local with a good selection of drinks and a very friendly welcome from both the bar man and the manageress. However what was the biggest surprise was the meals. We had a selection of starters all of which were delicious the home made hummus that my son had was exceptional. The mains had a lot to live up to after the starters but without exception all of the different mains were fabulous. The taste and quality was certainly surprising for a local pub this out shone our week of meals in various hotels and restaurants in Windsor and London. Only downside is this is to far as a local for us but would certainly visit again if in the area again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Great meal great friendly welcome and dog friendly!!

We are regular visitors to this fantastic local pub and it was a shame when food stopped but now the food is back on you’d be foolish not to pay a visit, the menu is full of fantastic tasty treats my favourites are the belly pork and chicken wings! The service is friendly fast and efficient. If your in the area and want some fantastic food, great beer and great company don’t go anywhere else! For families this place is the tops with a fab beer garden and play equipment for the kids. All in all the best all round pub you’ll find in a five mile radius of Grantham 👍

Food was good. Parking available. They offered me quiet seating in the other room so that I could have a window booth. A very nice way to spend a Sunday.

The Royal Queen has recently relaunched food at the pub and I must say that it does not disappoint . With Josh Harlock back as the chef the mixture of regular staples on the menu and the ever changing specials it makes for a great balance . Trying the Pork Taco special on Wednesday they were tasty and filling , we are looking forward to many future meals at the pub

We had a lovely steak off the specials board! Lovely chips and salad to accompany it! It’s always nice to know you can visit with your children with a spacious outdoor area for ball games and a climbing frame and slide

Visited yesterday for a sampler night of the new menu at the Royal Queen. An excellent new selection of meals to choose from. Some classics and some surprises. Will definatly be visiting regularly to try all the dishes.

Nice friendly place to drink and great service

On our way to Belton Woods, but too early to check in,we stopped by here for some food and refreshment.Alas we were told they now only served food on Sunday! Strange but thought they could put this on a board outside alongside another seating ‘Dogs welcome’. Very disappointing after a 3 hr drive in wet miserable conditions.

Pleasant place, however they don't serve food any more apart from Sundays..

Shuts ridiculously early and no longer serves food! Definitely gone down hill as far as service is concerned.

Went in for a Saturday evening gig by a band of which our freinds' daughter is lead singer. Venue is no frills and tired looking. Floor a bit sticky and lots of dogs running around early on but the staff and locals are friendly and helpful. Never tried the food - beer was reportedly good (I was the driver, can't stand fizzy pop and the barman kept me fortified with a decent builders brew all night so nowt to moan about). All in all a great night - music was good and the pub had a community feel to it but really welcoming of visitors too.

Came on a Tuesday night and was quite quiet. Food came quickly and was very nice. Portion sizes were very good only reason for not 5 stars is the food was a little greasy but great for the money
