Brewers Fayre Farrier in South Kesteven

Can’t fault the unlimited breakfast! First time of visiting the farrier and we enjoyed this pub so much, everyone was friendly and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great little soft play area for kids too.

Service, food and atmosphere here was spot on. We only wanted a snack and their menu met our requirements 😋 the lady who served us was very courteous, really friendly. We have been here a few times now and each time all was good 👍 Thank you 😊

Excellent visit today (our first) Excellant service. We were treated like humans. Food was very good Would come again if the opportunity arises.

I find the food at any Brewers Fayre tends to be ok but quite low quality ingredients generally. It's fine but you don't come here for fine dining. What was really good was the service, especially the lady who welcomed and seated us, and the reason we came was that it is so family friendly for our 5 year old who could go and enjoy the soft play safely. All in all a good experience, although if we didn't have young kids with us I probably would go elsewhere.

A lovely restaurant and friendly staff which makes a big difference to your dining experience. It's a large area with a bright conservatory attached. A kids area away to one side is a bonus.

We came actoss The Farrier Brewers Fayer on a day trip,we hadnt booked but arrived at 12,shown to a lovely table,nicely spaced so nice n private,not too close to other tables.. .lovely atmosphere,nice view across countryside,quick polite friendly service,great food portions and great quality ingredients,good value and farely priced..wonderful lunch..Fautless.!!!.we will return.

Quite a good menu selection. I chose the scampi and my mate, the gammon. The scampi was ok but quite over cooked and, again, the chips were average. The gammon was fatty so my mate didn't eat it all. In general, a very average meal.

Stopped here just before 12noon, its closed after breakfast session. Great staff food good

Good carvery for the price. Drinks on the pricey side, but no more than to be expected.

I booked a reservation and the service was apolling the lady was rude

We regularly stop here to charge the car and have lunch with the kids! It has a soft play, good service and good food, we recommend :)

All you can eat breakfast. The only downside....I was able to book a table for 10.15am and on arrival was advised the food stopped being available at 10.30am and the pub was locked at 11am to prepare for the afternoon carvery. Fully understand that but at least notify when booking a table at that time, that time will be restricted. Because of the timings we all felt pressure to down the food and get out. Shame, as food and service really great.

We had a fun family breakfast. And younger kids enjoyed the play room. And kids eat for free under 15 years.

We went for a Sunday carvery. It was fabulous. The actual selection was fantastic! I chose potatoe gratin and roast potatoes, and they were just right and not dehydrated. Cauliflower cheese and mixed root veg mash and carrotts again, these were just cooked and seasoned perfectly. The meat I chose was beef and turkey, again it was cooked to perfection. I'm looking forward to many more as long as the selection stays the same and doesn't change to the same old stuff every other venue serves up. Very well done, manager Sue, and server Logan at the Farriers.

Returned here after several years, and things have much improved. Food is good, service was friendly and helpful, and we felt our food was good value for money. Special mention to Ebony and Becca and the rest of the team.

We arrived Easter Sunday. After waiting for an eternity to be seated we was told we could only dine in the drinks area. We pointed out 2 tables that where clearly not reserved, to be told that's the only option. Then to watch the 2 couples behind us who also didn't have reservations be seated in these tables. We ordered 2 king carverys, only to be given the same amount of meat or less than the regular carvery that was served in front of us. On questioning this the person serving stated there isn't much meat left due to it being Easter so that's all they can give us. Food was dry from the mashed potatoes to the mac and cheese. Gravy was powdered gravy at best and the Yorkshire pudding was hard and burnt . All round bad experience.

Well we got turned down as too busy for breakfast and this was a stop we planned on. Long distance trip. Luckily we then went to a MD 10 mins away. I appreciate they were busy but left us at a loose end.

Staff were so attentive, always happy to help, nothing too much trouble. Sue was brilliant. Giving loads of information about offers for next time we stay

Nice place. Staff Nice was slow with drinks and meals took a lot longer. Was not that hot but told hot plate not working. Then had to pay 45.p. to take cheese off my chicken (hunters).plus ask for no coleslaw came on wrong plate had to swap over with wife. Thanks.

We were due at a family birthday on Monday, unfortunately there had been an accident on the a1 which meant that my family were extremely late. Food had already been ordered for us and had come out to the table but as we still hadn’t arrived they took it away again as would have been cold! When we finally arrived they made us fresh orders and it arrived very promptly. Thank you so much for a lovely meal.

Nice place to enjoy breakfast. Selection of hot food was good, only thing missing was fried bread. Would definitely visit again as was convenient on our travels

We went to the Farrier Monday 18th March 2024 for a family birthday meal. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the bill was extremely reasonable considering there was 16 of us. I really enjoyed my meal and despite the play area being closed for maintenance I can’t think of anywhere that would have suited better for family dining. John and Becca waited on our table and were great, so thank you very much.

Had a family meal there. Was a very busy restaurant. Food came quickly from order everything was fine. Staff very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth the money as very reasonably priced

Mother's Day so we expected delays but service times & lack of staff contact was ridiculous. We ordered & waited 50 minutes for the mains to arrive then 35 minutes later we had to ask someone to take our dessert order. No-one brought the bill so I went to pay at the bar instead. Whilst there, staff asked the rest of the family at the table if they had been given the bill so they said no & explained that I had gone to the bar to pay rather than wait any longer. My family were then asked to vacate the table whilst I was still at the bar paying. Very embarrassing for my 86 year old Mother-in-law to be ushered away from the table. Extremely rude considering that we were only there so long due to their lack of service.

We had breakfast here after staying the night at the premier inn next door. A buffet breakfast was on offer which was very nice English or continental. The staff worked very hard because it was very busy they were very nice even though they were rushed off their feet. But a couple more toasters and coffee machines would help things as there were long queues for both. Full marks to Lottie who impressed my wife with her hard work and her customer service

Went for a birthday meal a few weeks ago. Food great, service brilliant. I delivered a birthday cake earlier in the day and it was bought to the table after the meal. Candles lit, happy birthday sung when bought out. Then they gave my husband a birthday card and lovely box of Foxes biscuits! I was amazed as it's been a long time since I have received that level of service and the above and beyond approach. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for any event. Prices very good value too. Nothing was too much trouble.

I just pop at Farrier brewers in grantham to take our breakfast with my family, after 45 minutes in , the manager said we must leave , as we did not have finished our breakfast yet, I said this disrespectful with my family. my kids been at playground , they started crying a lot. we are imigrantes in this country we love live here. if there is any lawyers to read this , we need help to sorting this problem. we felt that manager was racist on us.

The fish was not as good as usual and the food could have been hotter but the staff were excellent

Busy but well maintained breakfast throughout. Always warm , plenty of choice and not deterred by the one hour to eat. Please get a second coffee machine, always queues when busy.

Food is FAB and fish pie is lovely. Staff are great.

We have been here several times now, the Sunday carvery is always fresh and one of the best, the staff are the most attentive. Sue the lady who greets you always does with a smile and accommodates your requests, the chef Pete I don’t know how he always remembers you and remembers your likes ( my mother likes the ends of the beef and he always remembers) yet he must see 100’s of people. It’s a great place and great. Lottie always greets with a smile. great Value for Money. Brewers fayre you should be proud as you have a great bunch of staff !!

Went with a family member and certainly was not impressed. We ordered gammon which came with peas and skin on chips. Chips where undercooked and certainly not fresh, frozen cooked peas but the gammon was dreadfully over cooked to the extent of the fat being black. We did inform the manager but he showed no interest of concern. His remarks were "I didn't think that it was that bad because you ate it". Told him that we "ate it as it took so long to come out and as we are both diabetic, we needed to eat something without having to wait along time gain" Certainly will not try again.

Sat near play area which was VERY. Noisy but good and service was excellent.

We visited on a recommendation for the Sunday carvery. It was great as they serve until around 6pm. Service was polite, friendly and helpful. Food good choice , all fresh and hot. Value for money too. We really enjoyed it. Definitely will visit again

Family friendly place for Sunday carvery took an elderly gentleman for lunch was given a table close to the carvery The chef Roy helped me sort out two plates of food it was very nice but could be a little hotter. Otherwise, everything was good.

Had an incredible time today at the farrier the food was phenomenal especially love the pouched eggs made in the kitchen by Roy they are sensational such a good additional to the already amazing breakfast. Lottie did an amazing job at booking us in and making sure we were comfortable and fitted all are additional requirement due to having children with additional needs. Graham welcomed us and made sure we needed everything we needed and was smiley and happy and such a delight. He goes above and beyond and makes the farrier so welcome and amazing. Nothing is to much trouble and he is the reason we go back so often.

Place was half empty and service was so slow, had to find someone to come take our order. Staff were so miserable. Food took ages to come and was cold and portions were tiny. Had to find someone again to ask about the kids desserts we ordered as no one ever came back to our table when we had finished with meals. Slow again. Finally had to go to till myself and ask to pay never seen service like it. Would not recommend

Good value Sunday carvery. Indoor play area for small child, which makes it a relaxing family venue for a meal. Staff all very helpful. Excellent service.

Food was good, service always a little slow when it comes to ordering drinks as they always feel slightly understaffed with one on the bar. Visit quite often and always find this is the case with several waiting

Went for dinner as a group of 5, we all had mixed grills, 4 medium rare and 1 medium, all the steaks were cooked just as we asked, absolutely perfect. Graham the manager served us, super lovely and professional, we asked who had cooked the steaks as they were really nice and wanted to pass on our thanks, his name was Michael, we also passed on our thanks to the whole team as everyone was really friendly and clearly working very hard. We only had a 20 minute wait for food which I thought was reasonable, will definitely come again. Will try the breakfast next time.

Visited recently, good service served quickly, large portions for the price we paid. We would visit again when visiting Grantham. We saw some guests enjoying birthday celebrations, clearly a popular venue.

Food lovely and hot. Just had snack but very nice.

Waited at least an hour for our food,the place wasnt overly busy.chips wasnt very warm,presentation on plate was thrown together,about 15 chips on the plates.for the prices of the meals,we wont come back in a hurry to eat at the farrier.

Visited with family, this is our go to breakfast stop. Plenty of choice, staff work extremely hard keeping tables clean and tidy and replenishing food. Would not hesitate to recommend coming here for a good breakfast and value for money.

Really nice staff and good food. The food is your basic chain pub meal nothing fancy but its done well and priced fairly. They have different offers every weeknight.

I have been staying in this Premier Inn for work purposes for a couple of years now. The Team here are superb. Bug shout out to the 2 Graham's they make my stay most enjoyable. They both remember me which is great customer service. I enjoy staying here as the Team really make such an effort to make your stay feel like a home from home. Keep up the great work 👍

Family was staying at the Premier Inn so came and met them for dinner. At the last minute we were able to change a table of 3 to a table of 9. The staff were warm and welcoming and never made us feel uncomfortable that...

Met with family for a New Year’s Day dinner, the welcome was warm and the team were all lovely. We didn’t feel rushed, the restaurant was not very busy as I guess most people were recovering from the night before! Food and service was spot...

We ordered smothered chicken which was awful and cold. The trio of pies whilst was ok the portion size of the dishes was poor. The food took a long time to come and we were disappointed with the food. Shame because the menu description was good but the dish let it down. There was also no quality check done otherwise I would have said. Also not asked if I had enjoyed my meal when paying

Ordered 5 x children meals, starters, mains & desserts. Table next to us had 3 guys sat there the foul language was disgusting. I asked politely if they could moderate their language due to having 6 children from 11 years down to 4 years with me. To be totally ignored. An hour after finishing mains still no desserts. Twice I asked how long the wait would be. Reply a couple of minutes. Half an hour later still no desserts. 5 very unhappy children and fuming Grandfather. Walked out had had enough. Never will we be going back.

We met with family on Saturday and we all really enjoyed our meals, the service and food were very good, I have to say that the Christmas decorations especially the trees look amazing.

Underwhelming. Nothing terrible but portions were small, simple items missed like tomatoes which were ready but not on the plate until I complained. Steak was cooked well but a little cold- maybe cold plates?

Went here the other night was busy but took 45 minutes from us ordering to actually getting our food, which we then had to rush as we had booked to go out .

Had lunch here today and the food was pretty good. One of our party has his main missed so had to wait for another to be made which meant by the time it had come the rest of us had almost finished. We ordered desserts and one came out incorrect and it was for the same guy lol 🤣 but apart from that it's a nice place to dine.

Sorry but We didn't have a very good experience at the Farrier. We wanted a coffee only to be told the coffee machine wasn't working fair enough. We sat at our table and had to go and ask the waitress to take our order about 25 minutes later.. when the food came it was luke warm .. I think they were very under staffed on this particular day

Weekday rated it at 3star, but went to the Sunday carvery and was pleasantly surprised, so upgraded to 4star

Wonderful breakfast, so much choice....absolute shoutout to JOHN who went over and above by coming out to jumpstart my car after i left my lights on. Will be back , thank you very much

We have stopped here regularly on our way home via the A1, and usually the experience is very good. This time however, it wasn't that great. The meet and greet, fine as usual, checking if we had food allergies and getting drinks for us. As...

Went there to try their festive menu whilst visiting in area. Got there about 2ish in afternoon after what looked like busy lunchtime. Food was ok but can't say the same about service. Prompt service initially with drinks order taken and then food order. Had food and then waited for someone to clear table and take dessert order. After about 15 minutes I went to see if could find member of staff. John came and cleared table and took dessert order. Waited and waited again. In the end went to ask another member of staff. On checking, the dessert order hadn't been put through! Thank you John! Apparently you had gone off duty without doing it!! Eventually got desserts after another wait even though not many customers. Needless to say, won't be rushing back. Best to order your desserts at same time as order main meal - at least you'll know the order has gone through!!

Great food and even better service. The sunday carvery was lovely as usually. Staff were really helpful and polite.
