Great little pub with a friendly atmosphere and lots of selections of beers. We didn't stay for long as we thought they did food, turns out they do not serve food. However they were friendly to point us in the right direction! Would deffo come back for more drinks

Booked the WATERTON ARMS for the wake after my Mothers Funeral. Never been there before so was a little apprehensive ... No need.... it was absolutely perfect! Had the use of the Dining area and had a hot and cold buffet! The staff went over and above to be helpful and kind and the food was amazing. What a top place for a gathering. Highly recommend and will be booking again for the next big event.

This was one of the worst chaotic experiences I have ever seen in a village public house bar - I went along with 6 other friends to have a drink to remember a close friend of ours who has recently passed away. Unfortunately ,this is now the second occasion on a Thursday night where the pub manager has made available only one person behind the bar - once again the problem is that the bar was jam packed with people! Consequently we as a group & other people , had to wait for an unreasonable length of time whilst this only bar person frantically attempted to serve several people trying to order! Sadly , our group of 7 left to go to The Thirsty Giraffe nearby where we were met with a far more friendly reception & service! Upon leaving the Waterton, I politely said to the bar lady “ I am not blaming you , but we are not prepared to wait 10- mins to get a second drink, so we are moving on to another pub” I was extremely disappointed & annoyed to see her glare at me offering no apology ! This was quite rude & unprofessional- I will never go into this pub again and as a group of 7 we will prefer to drink elsewhere- Further to add that this particular individual failed to smile, show any welcoming warmth or enthusiasm in her role and offered nothing in the way of a polite customer service approach! I can only presume she was miserable in having to serve all the customers by herself- Awful service never again !!

Would highly recommend amazing caring staff. Despite being packed efficient service delicious well stocked buffet and the selection of beer excellent

Fabulous country pub, with huge carpark, children's play area, huge area of outside seating with cover and plenty of outside seating without cover. Lovely and friendly staff, really cosy bar with great decor and all importantly, the loos are very clean, fresh and very well equipped! Highly recommend💯

We went to a christening at the waterton arms and was disappointed with the buffet when someone asked for another plate they were told you can’t have anymore you’ve had enough!!!Very rude staff even the owner.

Came for a friend’s christening. When I got to the front of the queue for food there were no plates. I stood and waited for someone to come out of the kitchen. He immediately ‘barked’ at me ‘what are you waiting for’? I politely pointed out there were no plates. He snapped ‘I was told 20, you’ve had your 20 plates’. I was really taken aback. I said ‘you’ve just put a new tray of sandwiches down and there are no plates to put them on’. He went into the kitchen and came back with 5 more plates and said ‘that’s your lot’! Myself and the queue behind me were absolutely stunned by his attitude! I felt embarrassed and sadden by his terrible attitude. The pub was quiet apart from the christening party so it was not even as if they were busy.

Absolute no go! Rudest owner I have ever met and bar member of staff (Sam). Unfortunately we decided to give business to The Waterton Arms and have the after part of our son’s christening there. The appalling service started on arrival when the owner was telling people to wait when asking to order a drink because he was busy counting heads. We were unaware we had to pay for entry. There was no seating set out to accommodate our christening party and it was a very hot day and no tables had parasols outside. The food was an extortionate price for the quality we received. We had guests asking for a plate and the owner refusing! It was so embarrassing for our family when our guests informed us. They then charged us an extra £50 to put more plates out!!! We were actually providing The Waterton Arms with a lot of business by choosing them for our venue. But still now shocked at the service and will definitely never be returning, I would urge others not to! I actually had my baby shower at The Bull in Deeping and we had no issues at all, the service was 100% better.

Recently attended a christening reception. Unfortunately j was unable to try the food as they would not supply any further plates allocated for the buffet!!

Called in for a Guinness before I gave my 107th blood donation at the Methodist Chapel. Service was excellent and staff friendly. I did ask if I could park in their car park while I did this. They kindly agreed and thanked me for asking. Guinness was good too! Thank you

We've been here multiple times over the years, including the recent beer festival. The atmosphere is always fantastic, and the beer is top-notch. The staff are incredibly friendly and engaging, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the very recent ale festival though,to be honest,it was too busy outside and deliciously cooler inside.

Never experienced such rude service, totally ignored when ordering and then made to feel as if I was troubling them when at the bar. Why bother being in a service industry when you obviously don't like people? Never will return to the place

Absolutely disgusting service. Our experience from start to finish was the worst I have experienced. Not sure who the owner is, but they need to get a grip of their manager, who I believe is called Spud, he was so rude and unaccommodating. Firstly, ignore the website - it’s not up to date. Menus, opening and closing times are all wrong. They just close when they feel like it - we were stopped being served at 10:20pm on a Friday night of all nights! And they don’t have a menu in the evening just bbq food from outside in the tent when they feel like serving! I emailed before leaving Canada to advise we were having a family get together on Friday, September 16th, no response! Spoke to a barman on the Wednesday prior, when we were meeting friends for dinner (no food) who didn’t explain the food situation properly at all so when we were actually there on Friday, none of the 16-20 of us could get any food! Apparently because we didn’t order food at 5pm sharp - despite the fact that nobody told us we had a time limit! When we asked if we could order pizzas in we were told absolutely not! Despite that people had come from all over the place to come see us! Spud was so rude to me and actually walked away mid-conversation! I used to manage pubs, restaurants and nightclubs and never in my career would I have treated any customers the way we were treated. Absolutely disgusting and the owner needs to give his head a shake for employing someone who really doesn’t care about true customer service! The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the beer is good. However when everything else leaves a sour taste in your mouth, I will never return, despite family living in/around this area. Also none of our family / friends will return and will pass on our disappointment throughout their own individual businesses in the area!

Well kept ales, with regulars including Timothy Taylor Landlord, JHB, and Abbeydale Absolution. Never had a bad pint and service is efficient. Plenty of outdoor space as well as indoors. Overall good pub!

Fantastic food, reasonable prices, the 2 young waiter's were excellent. Had Sunday birthday lunch 11 adults, 5 children, so you can understand how well they did. Will definitely return soon

If you want a ‘proper’ pub with a friendly, village atmosphere, this is the one. The menu is small but the food is second to none. Had the venison casserole tonight and it was delicious! Highly recommended.

Four of us went for a Sunday lunch at the Waterton Arms. We were welcomed by friendly staff and shown to our prebooked table in the very nice and airy dining area. The Sunday lunch menu was traditionally and competitively priced. However we were delighted with the quality, presentation and portion sizes. The beef and lamb were perfectly cooked and nicely pink in colour. The sweets were heavenly. Highly recommended!!

Out for a walk on Sunday afternoon. Popped in for a pint. Seemed popular as it was quite busy for 4.00pm on a Sunday

The service that we received was excellent. Joanna was very attentive and looked after us very well….She was polite, helpful and professional. The fish and chips were delicious……cooked perfectly and excellent in presentation. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxing…….a perfect evening.

We stumbled across this place purely by accident and we are so glad that we did. Keen to get a Sunday lunch, I enquired as to whether they could take a table of 3 and were met by a very friendly team who accommodated us straight away. My 8 year old son was happy as there was a play area outside - result!!! There wasn't much of a children's menu but they were very accommodating when I made a request for my son. When the food came it was fantastic and very reasonably priced. This is definitely a place we will be returning to. We have already recommended it friends and family - Great job, keep up the good work!!!!

Terrible service. Staff had a very bad attitude. Under staffed. Menu thrown at us. Had to leave my table to ask for a drink even though its table service only.

A wonderful old school atmosphere with good food and friendly staff. I used to go with my father and his sister (my aunt) before my father passed away (I even had an email of condolence from them, that's going beyond the norm) and lockdown happened. I will def go back when things have lifted properly...looking forward to see the team again.

Disgusting! Will never go here again and recommend people avoid. Only got 1 star as didnt have option for 0. Rude staff. Menu was chucked at us. Waiting for 30 mins with no sign of anyone coming to serve us. Staff swore at us when asked for service.

Lovely atmosphere in this place, local pub with awesome food and worth travelling to if you're out of the area. Handled serving well during these Covid times too which mattered to my family. Def recommend 😀

6 of us went for Sunday lunch and a family members birthday. The service was very good and the food was excellent. Can praise the venue, staff and chef enough for a great eating experience.

We arrived at just after 2pm, quite excited that, as it sad outside, there was a new menu. However, it's not served betweel 2pm and 5pm! (Covid related) We had a drink which was gnice but felt that we were intruders, not really welcomed so we went somewhere else the next day!

Not been here for a long time. But what a lovely friendly place. We sat in the garden. Just a drink it was a lovely day. Lady behind the bar was very helpful we chose a good wine. Very friendly customers we had a laugh & joke. We left saying we will be back.

We went for dinner here on a saturday evening with our friends. It was perfect for 2 couples, great atmosphere and lovely food. the bill was just over £100 for 4 mains, 2 rounds of drinks and coffee's. Great service and all round experience.

I really hope they find a chef as this became our families favorite place to eat. In this business, loyalty is fickle. We've somewhere else to eat out with our family, not as goos Waterton Arms was, but at least its selling/cooking food

It's such a friendly place to go for a meal or just a relaxing drink it as a great beer garden round the back with lots of seating Will definitely call again if we're in the area again.

First time visiting this place and it will not be the last. We went for Sunday lunch to celebrate my fathers birthday....Oh what a treat! One of the best Sunday lunches we have all had for many a year. Market deeping is a lovely village and this pub compliments the village nicely.The service matched the food. Waitresses were polite and friendly. Then there was Nacho, the chef, what a guy! Coming and speaking to the punters. Making sure we were happy with the food. Paying attention to the detail. He recommended we tried his home made dessert, oh my dayzzzzz.............Fantastico! Don't just take my word for it, go and try it.
