Prezzo in South Kesteven

Food ok but service was abysmally slow, spoiling the evening. Waitresses were cheerfully doing their best but were ridiculously under staffed. If there was a particular staffing problem that evening an apology and explanation would have been in order. If not - get your act together Prezzo!

Really upset with Prezzo this evening. Went with a friend for a drink whilst my son was at a birthday party. Got to the door to be told they are full (which is fine) but the bar stools were all empty so we said can’t we just sit at the bar and have a drink to be bluntly told No. came next door to Chinco Lounge which was really full and the opposite response so welcoming. I visit Prezzos regularly so very unhappy with their attitude this evening.

Worked out reasonably as we had 'BOGOF Mains' deal, otherwise would have been expensive for what it was. Pasta portions were OK but sauces a bit watery. Pizza was fine. Menu would have benefitted from some more interesting sides as options eg zucchini fries or sweet potato. Desserts were decent, especially the banana/biscoff cheesecake. Service prompt and friendly.

Anniversary meal with my wife. I refused my glass of cider, due to it being absolutely full of ice. How dare you presume I wanted ice in it - it’s January anyway! My £15.75 main course was Spag Bol. I love spag bol, but this was the worst ever! Pasta wasn’t fully cooked, the sauce was very dry. But the main problem was the portion size! It would’ve fitted on a side plate! I would’ve photographed it, but unfortunately, my iPhone wouldn’t zoom in far enough! Any coincidence that this was the only “restaurant” meal I’ve ever had where we weren’t asked during or afterwards as to whether we were enjoying our meals! I do believe the staff were talking about us. Zero tip given, as not imprezzed at all! First and last ever trip to any Prezzo “restaurant”.

Excellent food and staff very friendly. The manager is always very kind and helpful, my husband asked for garlic oil and he had the chef make some for him. Always lovely food and service.

Decent dinner but nothing special. Jenny's sea-bass was pretty good she said, while I had quite a good bowl of rigatoni with an arrabiata sauce (basically tomato and chilli), and we shared a whole sweetheart cabbage as a side - braised, with a nice flavour, though no sign of the parmesan it was supposedly cooked with. Downsides? - my arrabbiata sauce was definitely too hot for me - an unnecessarily large helping of chilli. Service was pretty good and our food arrived quickly. The restaurant itself is large and designed in a typical modern style - but a bit lacking in character though. We came here because it was the one Italian in Grantham that seemed to be open on a Monday night: both the small independent Italian places we've stopped at previously were closed on a Monday (probably not busy enough), but for character we'd definitely prefer either of those.

I went to Prezzo Grantham in July 2023. Staff were rude and i felt embarrassed . I complained and was given a £20 voucher. I felt so bad about my experience I gave my voucher to my daughter. She tried to use the voucher but was told it had already been redeemed. 200 miles from where we live!!! Prezzo are a such lying cheating capitalistic company. Please steer clear

After reading recent reviews was unsure about visiting but can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Food was very tasty, service was very attentive and polite and the restaurant was very clean. It wasn’t cheap but where is now. Food was delivered within 15 minutes which is what you expect for freshly prepared. We would definitely visit again.

Gave it another go, won’t bother again, poor quality, portions are abysmal, go away still feeling hungry. Had to wait ages for our order to be taken, wait for food too long! Would not recommend!

Had the new pasta salad. The portion was so small I actually thought I had been brought a starter by mistake. Terrible. Left hungry. Apparently the portion size is set by head office. We'll fine, you just lost at least one regular customer.

Slow service, small portions. Never paid £6.95 for a pint before and never will again. The ravioli was clammy and obviously not fresh, it wasn’t served with enough sauce so was dry. Staff were nice but seem to be few and far between. There must be better Italian restaraunts about, this was typical chain restaraunt food. Very expensive and not really worth it. Disappointed.

Drinks arrived very promptly after placing our order. Food was good (for a chain restaurant) chips were over cooked and no one came to check all was ok with the food or if we needed anything else, otherwise the service was good and the server very pleasant and polite. We’d been to the cinema, so the restaurant was convenient, wouldn’t necessarily go out of our way to visit, but would visit again if going to the cinema.

Went with friends and family and had good starters and main course. Service was a bit spiradic but not bad. When it came to our deserts, priced at £7.50 each, they were child portions! We eat out a lot and £7.50 for a desert is on the high side unless its a bit special or home made. We were served very small, childlike portions of cheesecake which were clearly from a wholesaler and nothing special although nothing bad. Unfortunately the second and major issue was they didnt accept cash! Well after a while, they realised they would have too! Very disapointing that British legal tender isnt accepted!!!

We arrived without booking early Sunday tea time. We were seated straight away by friendly waitress who thoughtfully placed us where the pushchair would fit. They made our two year old feel special. The food was great, very hot and delicious. The kids meal is great value for money. Service couldn’t have been better with people asking if we were okay and if we wanted Parmesan etc. The waiter asked the two year old if everything was to his satisfaction etc which was nice to include him. Would return. We used meerkat meals which made it good value.

Had a meal there with family, two of us had soup, two had pasta, quantity of soup appalling, dish so small, for £6.95 I expected a decent bowl of soup. Basically it’s just veg broth with pasta a few beans, not good value for money! My sister had a vegetarian pasta, £15 for a few squares of pasta and few finely sliced mushroom, asked for no Parmesan it came with Parmesan! My soup, both pasta dishes not hot, had to send them back, took ion ages to get our meals back! £2.95 for a small cup of coffee which was bitter and strong, certainly had better Italian coffee. £8 for a small bottle of cider, wine £8 for a small glass, £12 for large. Over rated and over priced, will not be returning.

Food was ok… despite far too much chilli in smoked salmon dish ! Appalling service throughout our visit! We were the only folk in restaurant for first 1/2 hour of our visit… yet service was still appalling! On arrival we told staff we were there to celebrate our sons birthday!!! - they showed little interest in that!!!! We had to leave table 4 times to go to bar as waiter failed to return to table! - No one checked to see if meals were satisfactory! - No condiments or Parmesan offered! We had to go to bar to request ! - We requested water with our meals - it didn’t arrive! We had to go to bar to request a 2nd time! - We ordered wine and drinks with meal… no one bothered to ask if we wanted a 2nd drink! We had to go to bar to request another drink! - We had to go to bar to request the dessert menu! We had to go to bar to request the £64 bill! No wonder the place was almost empty!!!!!! VERY POOR STAFF… they showed no interest in our visit whatsoever!!!!! We shall NEVER Return!

The food today was beautiful. We’ll prepared and presented, quality ingredients. Excellent staff team, professional and efficient. Very clean, nice atmosphere and pleasant environment. Clean toilets. Thank you all.

Visited on a Saturday evening and it was very busy. Despite appearing to have sufficient staff the place was clearly struggling. The starters came and we’re average. Not overly warm and obviously been standing before being served. The main courses arrived and were cold! They were immediately replaced with new ones and told that they were fresh ones….. microwaved chicken as tough as anything. Management fully apologetic but too late….. The worst experience of the place we’ve ever witnessed and will not rush back.

Nice place and decent food. Seem like they've been struggling for staff for the last few months. The waiters were trying their best but were snowed under and there was a mix up with the food, which took ages. Food is good but on the pricey side and I'd only go with the meerkat 2 for 1 code!

Came out for my sisters 16th birthday meal. Table was nicely decorated as we requested. Food was amazing - especially the bruschetta and mushroom risotto. Although there were no dishes that did not contain onion and garlic - but Mate did assist us in adapting another dish from the menu. I rang up Prezzo a few days prior to my visit to reserve a table for a friends birthday. Although it was only a small party, they were very helpful. I arrived slightly before the time I had booked as we were having lunch for a friends birthday so I brought some balloons and a cake in. The friendly staff took the cake into the kitchen and set the balloons up on our table, and they even let us choose which table we would like. All the staff were very friendly, very attentive and the food was delicious as always. I have been before but this time was particularly impressed with my visit. Would definitely recommend!

We went for a family meal on Wednesday evening. It just started to be getting busy. The food was amazing the portions are very generous and very tasty. Unfortunately was getting too busy for the staff.seemed they were short staffed so the service got slower. Had leisurely lunch in Prezzo with my husband today. Shown to a lovely private booth without having to request one, even though there were only two of us. Extremely clean. Excellent service. Very friendly without being irritating and intrusive. Fast service, but were never made to feel rushed. Quality of food was excellent. Very fresh ingredients and lovely flavours. Forced ourselves to have three courses as we were using Meerkat Meal Deals. Excellent value, particularly with the use of 2 for 1. Would highly recommend for a lunchtime treat.

We arrived here for a party of about 20 to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is quite large inside with much free flowing space. Cannot fault this restaurant - the food was great - had spaghetti with king prawns and a calamari starter (a little small). However, the quality was better than many other Italian restaurants I've been to. Most of the other guests who had the sea bass said that it was excellent as well. Only one downside - not all the food arrived at the same time - some people had to wait 15 minutes - but that's probably the type of problem to be had with large groups. I would suggest that the restaurant create an Excel spreadheet with macros, where they can put in the table number, the food orders, and then the spreadsheet should calculate when the preparation of each meal should begin, so that all the prep can finish at the same time and be served simultaneously. Technolgy would help in this regard. All in all - a great experience, and I would re-visit any day I'm back in this town. Note - toilets/bathrooms are upstairs and to the first floor - not suitable for people with mobility problems - of which we didn't have any in our group anyway.

Wouldn’t touch this place with a barge pole again..Trying to eat what was a lovely meal when staff member not only tried once to clear the plates but twice , then went off to slate us to her colleagues.. disgusting Complained to the front of house who just wasn’t interested, and no apology from the staff member who was so rude.Maybe some people accept this kind of behaviour Cannot believe that no one was interested, maybe they should learn a meal is finished when the knife and fork are put together on the plate , quite simple !

Took the grand kids here as they both like Pizza and they both approved of our choice of restaurant. All was good, except for the fact that the four of us were put on a table meant for two so there was little space for the colouring books and crayons provided. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit.

My first visit to Prezzo in Grantham. Lovely and clean restaurant with friendly staff. Good selection on the 2 and 3 course special menu. All the food was of excellent quality and taste. The front of house staff went the extra mile by arranging a surprise ice cream, dimming the restaurant lights and singing happy birthday to my son. It made for a memorable experience.

When we arrived the first thing we noticed was the decor, lovely, modern and bright, We had 3 courses and drink from a set menu, Everything was delicious and the portions very generous. As a family, we’re a fan of the Prezzo chain and the range of good food choices on the menu. Prezzo restaurants are generally well geared up for both busy days and quieter evenings, but you can be sure of good service and prompt delivery of food.So, when we visited at the weekend (Sunday 5th May) at 7pm, we weren’t expecting a particularly busy restaurant so in-turn we could expect excellent service and food delivery.That sadly is not what happened.We sat down at 7pm. Our preferred (and reservation requested) booth was not cleaned at that time. It was cleaned at about 7.10pm. We then sat until 7.20pm at which point we were asked what drinks we’d like. They arrived about 20mins later. We finally managed to place our order at around 7.45pm and it was delivered within 15mins and we commenced our first course an hour after we arrived at 8pm.When we were waiting, we had a chance to observe the restaurant dynamic. There was maybe a 20% occupancy. There were around 3 staff serving, plus the manager.Tables were not being cleared away for the duration of our stay.Staff were busying themselves near to the bar area, but for those of us near the kitchen area, we were left waiting for quite some time.So, when the food arrived at 8pm, we were pretty hungry and disappointed at our wait.But ... of the dishes served, 2 out of 5 were cold. I had seen them waiting to be brought to us for a good few minutes, but these dishes - a carbonara and a chicken dish were both served on the cold side of lukewarm. How, in a restaurant that was less than busy was this possible?After advising the manager, we were asked if we wanted them reheated? I actually said I’d like a hot meal please. So, eventually fresh dishes were requested and were delivered about 15mins after the rest of our table had started to eat.To their credit, they did not charge us for these 2 dishes, but how can this level of both service failure and kitchen process allow for dishes to be sent to customers cold?Plus, when observing the lack of clearing away, this restaurant has some fundamental issues to address. We have used Prezzo in Grantham before and experienced slow service. So, this is not unique and I see from other reviews similar observations.Oh, and one final issue. Two birthdays were being celebrated. As is normal lights in these circumstances are dimmed, however in this case, both times all the lights were turned off .. leaving our booth table in complete darkness when we were trying to eat.Please Prezzo Grantham and regional management, take notice of what is happening with this restaurant and put in place a recovery plan for service and for a better customer experience.

Visited this restaurant on numerous occasions. Food was fantastic and generous with a lovely atmosphere, spacious and clean. Quite busy but everybody looked after us, service by staff was excellent. Definitely be coming back soon.

Wife and I had a voucher to spend and were only allowed to pick items from a certain voucher menu. The restaurant was quiet and we were the only couple. The waiter was very polite and quickly seated us on a table to which we picked. We selected our starters and they came out within 10 minutes. As soon as we finished the starters the main course arrived! Could have done with a wait in between each course but that was the only complaint. The food was amazing and we would definitely go back.

The waiting times here are flipping terrible, every time I have been your drinks order is taken swiftly and then without fail it's 25mins at least until you see them. I've even had to ask staff members where are drinks where after that time. There were 3 small tables in the restaurant at the time. The food is ok, can be an expensive treat for an average night/day out

we were at grantham prezzo last night (friday 29th march), the place was busy which is fine but right next to us was a table of 20, straight away I knew things would nt go smoothly, I think we must of had Harry Potters Invisibility clock around us as we were more or less ignored all evening, took 20 minutes to get our drinks, then another 15mins or so to be asked what we would like to eat, the waiter brought us 5 starters even though there were only 4 of us, finally received our meals, we then waited at least 30 mins before the waiter bothered to bring us sweet menus which again we were left staring at them for another 25 mins whilst the said waiter took separate payments off the 20 people opposite, what a joke.We had finally had enough and complained , the waiter just fobbed us off with an offer of speaking to the manger , paid the bill and left only to see that we had even been charged for the 5 starters when we only had 4. Never again Prezzo!!!!!

Visited the restaurant on Friday 1st March. Two adults and two children. Ordered a starter and a main plus drinks. The service and food were both excellent and worth a return visit. My only issue is that even though we had a 40% off mains voucher the bill still reached north of £80! It was a very good experience with attentive service and excellent food but still an expensive night out. £15 cheaper and it was 5*!!!

Very disappointedHad a buyagift voucher 3 course meal for 2 Starter was ok but very small Main course choice was either maghrita pizza or pizza with goats cheese .spagetti bolognase or carbonara so tough if you wanted anything else thats your chioce Wasnt very impressed with the carbonaraDesert was tiramisu but very bland and was served cold on warm plates.Atmosphere was quiet and we were quickly served our starter but clearly said no ice in our drinks and was given ice.Then started rapping music which to us wasnt appropiate to this type of place and we were left waiting a long time for our main course. Friends took me for a surprise meal as I was moving out of the area. Staff was friendly on arrival, drinks were ordered straight away and after a few minutes wait were delivered. We waited again to order, but I have an intolerance to garlic and onion and creamy sauces so waited for the waitress to find out what I could have - virtually nothing! I did ask if I could have spaghetti with just a freshly made tomato sauce, wouldn't take long to do but no, chef wouldn't do it. After going through several items and checking with chef, It was decided that I would have a Pizza, but then got told that the tomato sauce spread on the base was pre-done (packed?) and had garlic in it, so that was out. Suggestion was made of having a plain pizza base with Mozzarella cheese, sliced tomato and chicken. Well it was awful. The base was very, very dry with a hint of cheese (couldn't even see if it was melted), about 5 slices of beef tomato (on a 12" pizza base, one piece at each quarter, one in the middle), and about a dozen small (not much bigger than a haricot bean) chicken bits. When the bill arrived although I asked for something of the main menu, the waitress insisted I had, had off of the 'special' menu where you could get 2 meals for around £11, and had charged me £2 extra for the tiny bit of chicken! I said I didn't want a pudding (couldn't have a starter - even the Olives have garlic on them), she insisted I took away one as it was included in the price, so ended up taking a cheesecake home to the hubby, so all in all the meal cost me around £13 for a dried up pizza (that I left some as too dry to eat in the end) and a pudding my hubby had! What also got my friends was that one of them was charged for something they never even had !Beware, check your bill and don't go there if you have intolerances. Be prepared to wait a very long time in-between courses as they do take ages to serve each course.

Came here tonight for a meal with partner for dinner. Starter was okayish, partner had calamari which he said was a bit dry and rubbery. Mains were pizzas which were huge and tasted great (only had the classic size too.......) chips were a bit pale, side salad was alright but had been doused in dressing so was a touch soggy.We came here as we had a voucher so enjoyed the meal out but I’m glad we didn’t pay full price. Yet again, another visit to Prezzo with friends. I tried a new dish which was Chicken Carbonara. It was nicely presented, a decent portion with pieces of chichen and very tasty. I will have it again but intend to try more dishes as I usually have one of the salad dishes (which I love) . As I have the Meerkat offer I expect to go quite regularly to try as many of the great dishes they offer. I can recommend the Calzone, Salads with Salmon/Chicken/Goats cheese - all delicious. Now going through Pasta and Pizza dishes and, so far, so good. Love the Pink Gin cocktails which are around £6,25 but a LARGE drink and very tasty. Really happy we have a decent Italian Restaurant in Grantham.

We visited this restaurant tonight. We had superb food and service. The prawn/salmon risotto was yummy, and so was the tre gusto pizza, along with the desserts.

The food was very tasty and the staff were attentive though very busy so took longer to bring drinks, water etc. The food was prompt and all thoroughly enjoyed the meal from youngest (aged 9) to oldest (75). Will definitely return!

Miejsce jest urocze. Obsługa wspaniała. Jedzenie przepyszne i szybko podane. Zachwycona jestem zwłaszcza tym, że jedzenie jest też bezglutenowe i można zmieniać składniki. Rok temu była tam moja siostra i poleciła mi to miejsce. Miała rację. Naprawdę warto tam zajrzeć. Polecam. ☺️

Came here on 3rd dec on a Monday night, with work colleges, for Xmas meal there were 11 of us. We all pre ordered our meals. The food was delivered very fast, very tasty and the service was excellent. We all had a great night out, cannot fault this place at all. I will return.

We decided to go to this restaurant to celebrate a family birthday. As a family we have visited many restaurants and sadly this place rates as one of the worst. The food was bland and clearly precooked. My wife who’s birthday it was complained about her meal and thankfully they didn’t charge her for it. One of our party said that it was part of a chain but this is no excuse for poor food. I was asked if we had enjoyed it and when I said not they just said “ok ok”. I paid nearly £170 and feel badly ripped of for poor food and poor standards. Shame on you Prezzo you need to get your food sorted. It is not surprising that your restaurant was nearly empty this time of year when it should be full.

Having visited this restaurant on numerous occasions in the last month on a meal deal I have not been disappointed once, service and banter with the staff was great Food was fantastic and generous with a very homely atmosphere, spacious and çlean, certainly did not feel like part of a chain, òf which it is, rapidity becoming my favourite eatery in Grantham, certainly recommend a visit.

Quick lunch with SWMBO. Good food, good service and new and well kept location. Quiet at Lunchtimes but suspect busy in evening.

Had a lovely meal yesterday after wanting something different on a Sunday. The staff easily looked after our party of 12 and the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. Couldn’t fault the food, good portions and excellent value for money. We will return.

Staff are lovely, food is good but not great value for money, which is as you would expect from a chain like Prezzo

Nice food,nice surroundings.staff are helpful when we wanted something different from the menu.the waitress was so nice to help us. You can only use 1 voucher per meal.used 25% off but could not use the voucher for free bottle of Prosecco for my birthday.

We had a meal on Tuesday evening and as usual the service was excellent. Food hot and delicious and relatively inexpensive. Favourite Italian Restaurant.

Looked at several eating places before choosing Prezzo's.A good choice although, as it was a Sunday evening, it was relatively busy... and probably unexpected, as only two people serving!However, following a short wait to be seated, we enjoyed a lovely meal and pleasant service.

Family treat for grandsons: Nikola our waitress was extremely efficient, friendly, attentive and helpful. Grandsons would like to go again

Visited with friends before seeing Pete Tong at Belvoir Castle. The food was great, lots of it and delicious. The service was great too. Very friendly waitress and the meals were brought out very quickly. Overall, would definitely recommend and we enjoyed our visit.

Go to Prezzo' s quite often as the food is very good, staff excellent. Can't beat it for a meal out.

I visit Prezzo often with my friends for meal and never been disappointed food always delivered on time and the staff is very friendly. Nice selection of drinks and cocktails. Highly recommend this place, even for a bigger parties.

We enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. Both pizzas were really tasty and arrived only ten minutes after ordering. Fantastic friendly service too.

Went for a meal with my girlfriend on a saturday night, considering the time it wasn't too rowdy. Service was good with food coming very quiickly (<10 minutes after ordering), the drinks were good altough maybe slightly overpriced. The food itself wasn't anything special but did the job although it's pretty difficult to get a pizza wrong. It was much more value for money to order from the set menu (2 courses for £11.50) considering the pizza by itself was £11.75.

Went for a pre theatre meal - restaurant is directly opposite Arts Centre/ theatre and not far from the parking for this. Large modern, airy restaurant with table and booth seating. We had the under 600 calories light pizza which comes with a side salad. All fresh and very tasty. A perfect light meal.

I visited Prezzo in Grantham with my family last week (table for 6 of us and one high chair). It was my first time in Prezzo and, for sure, I will visit soon again. Quite busy but everybody looked after us. We had a very nice meal and the service by staff was excellent. Well done Prezzo!
