Small but friendly family run bistrot, where the owners really seem to care about the authenticity of their food and as such have a small, carefully selected menu. The food was excellent, we particularly enjoyed the bruschetta with home made bread and that evenings special which was a sausage pasta, really great. You do have to pre-order meat dishes so if you would like to eat other than the pizza and pasta offerings, make sure you have contacted them in advance. Overall this was a lovely experience, the staff were really friendly and keen to talk about their passion for food. The one thing I would like to see change was them measuring out the wine by the glass, they were free pouring, no marks on the glasses to guide them and I felt the measures were not 175ml, but this is a small gripe, I would readily return and sample more excellent Italian cooking.

Went with a friend on a Friday evening, and was surprised how quiet the Bistro was - but it has only been open a few weeks. Very friendly service, explaining how some of the options are made, and where the wines come from. Food was excellent, we each sampled the other's dinner, and both the Penne Vodka e Salmon and the Risotto Asparagi e Mandorle were delicious. The wines are a little pricy, but our bottle of red was good. The dessert, off the specials board, was to die for! By the time we had finished a large party had arrived, and we thought that the design of the dining area could have done with more soft furnishings, as (although the party were in no way rowdy), the sound bounced off all the hard surfaces and became intrusive. Will certainly return. Note that most meat dishes need to be pre-ordered at this restaurant.

My husband and I went for dinner this evening. We had a delightful meal, perfectly cooked and served with friendliness. We were welcomed like family and had a wonderful time. We recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants to experience a genuine taste of Italy and the friendliness of an Italian family.

Super little Italian place. We had Gnocci and Risotto which was very well made and clearly very good quality ingredients were used. The family running this restaurant are very welcoming and warm. Nice addition to Grantham

We took a work colleague from Switzerland here tonight. The food was delicious, the sharing starter of meat and cheese was incredible, I have no idea how they made the fresh bread but it’s a must, incredible. The family could not do anymore to make the whole experience a pleasure, so friendly and happy to serve. Only 1 area for a slight improvement was the lighting, just a bit too bright for us and needed a more cosy feel. The family agreed but said they had reduced the lighting and people complained it was too dark so we agreed they can’t win!!! A definite must to visit, we will certainly be back. Pizza also was extremely good.

What a fantastic find. The food is genuine Italian freshly made cuisine. Christian the owner is great and very accomplished. You must visit, it's only recently opened but superb!

I had a lovely lunch with my daughter yesterday. Everything was amazing. The panini bread was made freshly on ordering, and were light, crispy on the outside and filled with a variety of Italian hams and cured meats, lots of mozzarella and fresh vegetables. Chips were hand cut and fried, and tasted fabulous. I’m going to try it in the evening when we have more time to taste the traditional Italian dishes. Dessert of the day was a delicious pistachio tart. It would be great to support this friendly, proper family Italian bistro/ restaurant in Grantham. There’s nothing else quite like it here.

Everything about this bistro is fabulous, especially the food which is cooked from scratch (even the panini bread is made on ordering). Delicious home made chips and desserts, light and airy panini stuffed with Italian hams, cured meats, mozzarella and fresh vegetables. A world away from the usual heavy, greasy offerings. Lovely family-run restaurant. We’ll be back to try in the evening.

Dropped in for lunch randomly. Had the Calzone off the special and think it was the nicest one I’ve ever eaten. Top notch Italian coffee too. Staff were very attentive, but looked like it had only just opened - think we were the only people in there. Learned about their Calabrian story, very keen to go back as they settle in, and keen to do so before people learn how amazing the food is!

Very enjoyable evening on Saturday 2/3/24 with authentic Italian home cooking. The family are very keen to please and share their passion for the food and wine of their region Calabria. We really enjoyed our cured meat starter and pizzas and the pistachio tiramisu was one of the best I have ever tasted! Yes there are some refinements to be made but this did not spoil our enjoyment of what we hope will be a successful venture. Nice touch of Calabrian liqueur and the hand of friendship at the end of the evening. We’ll be back!

Amazing food, everything freshly cooked. Lots of the food is home-made including the bread, pesto etc. A cracking family run Italian, highly recommended and plan on returning soon.

We were keen to support the family running this new restaurant so eagerly booked a table and took my parents. Nothing on the table when you sit down - no cutlery, glasses, wait and pepper. Nothing. The lighting is poor so no atmosphere, the wine list is digital and difficult to read on your phone, whilst 2 of our pizzas were ok, mine was 2/3 soggy and inedible, one pasta dish was too dry to eat, served in a cold bowl. The staff were arrogant verging on aggressive when we said what was wrong. You don’t get a bill just get told an amount and expected to pay without seeing what you’ve been charged for. I understand they’ve not run a restaurant before but life and business are about being open to feedback, and of course in business you have to listen to your customers. I fear that unless they listen to feedback this will be a very short lived venture. We’re so disappointed and really wanted it to have been a success.

I really enjoyed my time at this restaurant. Amazing italian food made with such a detail and soul, great and extremely friendly staff. Our evening was perfect here with great wine and so much food! Cannot recommend enough!

I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. This is a new place in Grantham and the owners put so much love and attention to make it part of their Italian culture and kitchen. The food is so true and delicious. Made fresh from scratch with a bit of of a soul and tradition from the chef. We had such a great time here. We were tempted to try some classics recommended by the chef and no disappointments there - food was perfectly crafted for our tastes. Great Italian wine, great atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. Cannot wait to come back and try more.

He said everything was checked, but obviously not that maticulously. Considering it's a very new business they should be tripping over themselves to make more of an effort with customers that complain. No discount or anything offered. Thank goodness I didn't swallow the glass! Because of this we won't be going here again.

Popped in with family to escape the cold, wet weather. We enjoyed some lovely coffee, some awesome Italian pineapple juice and the most amazing Pistachio cream filled donut. We’re looking forward to returning for lunch/dinner sometime soon.

Wonderful proper Italian home cooking. Charming staff - lovely family run place. Tomerhawk steak was sensational and fed 4 of us!! Wines good. Dessert delicious homemade pistachio tiramisu - to die for. Let’s support this restaurant Grantham - it’s the best in town by a country mile.

Gorgeous lovely Calabrian Italian family business with fantastic fresh high quality ingredients and beautiful home cooking. If you like your meat, this is the place for you. The steaks look pricey but are ginormous and can be shared between 2-4 people! The risotto was rich and delicious (I recommend sharing). And the Nduja bread dip was sensational. Great portion sizes. So friendly. Great food. Really tastes of Italian home cooking. The wine offered and suggested was great and paired very well with the meats. And is from their hometown. Great atmosphere (although the lighting could be a little improved! More warm light, less bright white bulbs - I think this will do wonders for the place. But they did say to us that they havnt finished the decor as they wanted to get the place open quickly - this is their first week open so plenty of time for decor improvements)

We called today for morning coffee. We had a croissant and red velvet doughnut. They were delicious. The service was excellent. Would highly recommend. We will be back. Good luck to the owners.

The best pizza we have ever had in the whole UK. Definitely the best pizza in town. Fresh, delicious and amazing. I love that it is not oily and greasy as most of the take away pizzas.

I'm surely coming back to this guys, i never had a pizza like that in Grantham ever. Even my english friends loved it so much !!!

Saw the company on social media a few weeks ago, me and my partner decided to stray away from the dominoes and give TakeItaly a try... The food is incredible and tastes extremely fresh.. the portion sizes are great and very reasonably priced. The staff are genuine, kind and passionate about the food they are making and delivering. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you enjoy a quality, fresh pizza!
