Not that I am furious about anything. Nice service really, clean and inviting. But the dish I had was really unappetising, pasta with crayfish and prawns -not that I am finicky, but was very disappointing. Not sure if the sea food was fresh really, and the pasta itself as if overcooked. The sauce tasteless. Spent well over a hundred pounds, and left with a feeling that I would not eat that dish again for all the tea in China. Wish I had read the reviews before stepping in. They are usually a good guide and this time as well I think the overall rating of 3.6 describes my experience well and truly. Not what ASK used to be 10 years ago. I loved it then.

We visited here for dinner tonight as a couple and from the moment we sat down were greeted by such a friendly, vibrant and happy lady serving us, who is honestly an absolute credit to the Ask Italian brand - Karolina. We watched her make every effort with every customer, taking a photo for some friends, checking in on everyone’s food, making people giggle and just bringing so much energy to everyone’s visit. We felt it was only right she was recognised for going so above and beyond. Her name was Karolina. Thank you - we will back again soon as result of such a lovely dinner ❤️

Went to Norwich for the day and popped in and seated very quickly and took our drink orders and then came back and we ordered. I had the sea bass with baked potatoes and it was amazing, daughter had a pizza and husband had a pasta dish and both said how nice it was. Will be back soon!

How can an italian restaraunt not be able to provide bruschetta when it is on the menu? Otherwise the food was good , the service was excellent with a lovely waiter who loved the word beautiful! No irish coffee or cointreau and ice in my scotch rather than being offered a choice, would have prefered a dash of water.

The restaurant is warm, with no air conditioning. Vegan options are poor. Staff were friendly but on their own and was busy. You are greeted with a lemonade but not informed that it is not suitable for vegans and no alternative offered. There were limited vegan options. Beware if you are vegan: You are unable to have chips and zucchini fries (maybe a lot more but we did not ask) because they do not have a separate frier. This is very poor from a large chain. I am not vegan and had the spaghetti bolognese. This was the worse I'd experienced. It lacked presentation, meat sauce, flavour, the spaghetti was overcooked and not al dente! The vegan lecca was burnt on one side, causing it to be hard. Check your oven temperature. We did not complain because we needed to leave for another appointment. Management: why is there not a separate frier for vegans? Why is there not an alternative for the lemonade? Overall a poor experience.

Food is ok, bit pricey, main course carbonara bit small and not that tasty, dessert here is the best course.

Was pre-warned that they had some staff of some it would take longer to be served and was not in a rush. Was seated near the oven so quite hot in and a loud group of students which was not good could not hear my partner talking at all. It was quiet when they finally left but wish we had been sat somewhere else and we did find we seemed a bit forgotten about where we sat Food was excellent. But did have to go to the till and wait for the bill as they were just run off there feet

Great service and very tasty food. Omg the garlic fries are amazing. Staff very helpfull when sorting out the red letter day voucher confusion.

We visited towards the end of the afternoon and took a coffee before ordering food. I had pollo Milanese which was nicely presented, tasty and filling. Service was friendly and prompt.

We had not booked, and the venue was busy. However, we still received a friendly professional service. We had a light lunch and the food was very good. Great value for money.

Food excellent but the overhead air con units were filthy with dust!!

Asked for a gluten-free pizza after 45 minutes, it finally came with 75% burned barely edible.They then made another pizza took another 30 minutes. COSTED £25 I felt like I was mugged.

We have been here a few times as It was Mother's day the place was extremely busy. Upon arrival Karolina greeted us with a beaming smile and seated us. Adrienna our server was very accommodating and ensured our party of nine were well looked after. Food arrived promptly and was delicious. Once again great service from Adrienn and Karolina.

Unfortunately the food here is very disappointing. I have no idea why they can’t do better. The lasagne was pitiful. Thin tasteless and bore no resemblance to a lasagne you would get in Italy. They might want to go and have one in a proper Italian restaurant so they can see what’s it’s supposed to look and taste like.

So went out for what I thought was going to be a lovely meal out with my wife. Child free. We wanted to go to cloisters but was fully booked. Next was ask Italian. Yep brill. Sat down, ordered drinks, the wife ordered gin and tonic and I had a £7 beer. My wife got gin and lemonade. Not a good start. Who drinks that. So starters arrived, looks good just a shame we have no cutlery to eat it with. Not impressed. How can a waitress put food on the table without noticing we have nothing to eat it with. Yeah not happy

Seemed ok at first till we ordered drinks and they bought the wrong one out I asked for gin and tonic and got gin and lemonade we had a starter but no cutlery to eat with. Pizza was very dry and plane the service wasn’t great and they weren’t even busy? I shall not be coming here again and I don’t recommend it to anyone else.

A firm favourite in our family for birthday celebrations. The butterfly king prawns as a starter, large variety of pizzas and pastas for main and mount Etna dessert...what's not to love!!

The service was poor and when I went out with my mum to have a nice dinner as a family it took to long that we were going to leave in the end the food was mediocre at best but not good . We also went to another place instead as the service took that long

One of my favourite places to eat, and I wasn't disappointed regarding this visit. Would have no hesitation in dining again or recommending ASK Italian. I have dined in a few other ASK Italian restaurants and the service and food has always been excellent.

Got to the restaurant for a table for 2 adults and 1 child got told they where not taking walk ins for another hour at 5pm, called 10 minutes later to book a table and got told they stoped taking bookings for the evening, the change of answer from the same team member sounded very condescending, and made us feel like they couldn’t be bothered to take another booking, we walked into the restaurant and it was not busy with lods of tables free or reserved in any way so we are pretty sure we will not return or order from this restaurant again. Coming from a person that has worked in the hospitality industry for 8 years if you do not like to work during holiday periods

We were a party of 11 aged 3 to 63 on 23 December. We were so very well looked after, absolutely brilliant service, FoH ,food and drinks. It exceeded our expectations given the date. Thank you all for your hard work and festive smiles.

Food nice, service friendly when being attended to but it can take quite a while to get the attention of the staff, they aren't looking around when they're walking by. Why the one star? I left a cash tip as I normally do, once I got home, I found they'd already added a 10% tip to the bill. I hate restaurants that do this, awkward to get it removed and it should be up to the customers if and what to leave without having to change the bill. Not going back purely on this as they don't deserve my custom.

It's always a good experience at this branch. The staff are friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The only reason the food has 4 stars is that the vegan options haven't changed for a long time! We could really do with some new additions now please!

We had Emma and Megan looking after us at Stamford - I have an onion allergy and Emma really looked after us and put me at ease. We'd already tried two restaurants that day and felt like we couldn't eat safely but the staff at Ask were immediately really accommodating and kind. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough, great food and loved the experience!

I recently went to Ask in Stamford with work colleagues. The food was amazing, and the staff were very friendly and approachable. The place itself was clean and tidy and decorated nicely.

Deadly experience on a Saturday evening. Food was very poor quality and small portions. The pizza had hardly any cheese in it and the waitress tried to tell me that the canned mushrooms were fresh! Never had Tinned mushrooms on a pizza before. Finally had to wait in excess if 20 mins for a menu for dessert which never arrived. Gave up in the end and walked out in disgust!

Nice Italian themed decor, spotlessly clean and super friendly staff. Dishes took a while to arrive as freshly cooked which is good. However, when they did arrive I received a different dish to the one I’d ordered. This was rectified and I ended up with exactly what I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend the risotto which my daughter ordered and after having a taste of it wish I’d ordered the same - delicious. Nice place for a pleasant lunch, reasonable priced and would happily return.

Lovely friendly staff. Excellent food which was nicely cooked and warm. Lasagna was home made and restaurant is not at all pretentious like some of the other restaurants in Stamford. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Me and my friends were traveling to Kent from Leeds by car. We came here for having a refreshing break and here’s so lovely. The waitress gave us mini glasses of lemonade while we found the chairs to sit down. They are tasty, so we all order one. The starters are very good, we ordered a mini cheese ball (sorry I forgot the name) with rice inside, they’re all different flavors. And the cheese fondues were also super delicious. Chocolate etna was so great, it tasted like hot brownies with ice cream. We’ll definitely come back again x

Ordered deliveroo restaurant called after order as some items were out of stock which was fine , waited for 2hrs order never turned up restaurant finally answered after 45min of trying the woman I spoke to Emma was rude never apologised for the delay or gave any explanation to why there was such a delay but stated the driver was there now they will start to prepare the food after 2 hours!!!!, ended up cancelling. Ashame as I really looking forward to trying.

A bit disappointed with the food... quite pricey for pasta.. Staff were friendly but don't seem to enjoy working there. Food tasted great but nothing extraordinary. I wouldn't recommend ordering desserts as they definitely looked bought in and definitely not worth the price.

The Italian server was very rude when we very politely asked her for some plates. Told her she shouldn't have spoke to us that way but she was condescending then on. Extremely unprofessional and rude behaviour from her, and it was clear she didn't want to serve any people of colour. Any person of colour should be wary of her and we didn't even get an apology. Shame because the food was good but she ruined the atmosphere.

when we went it was very quiet, staff let us choose a table and were extremely friendly and warm. service was a perfect blend of being attentive but not fussing. food was brilliant, and reasonably priced. very prompt and atmosphere was great, really nicely decorated and felt welcoming.

We called in at ASK for lunch whilst visiting Stamford. We were greeted and seated by a helpful and friendly member of staff. As is often the case we are somewhat limited in what we can choose as we both have adverse reactions to chilli and curry and there is a lot of the former in the menu. We found two mains that were suitable for us and they were both very good. These were followed by two delicious Sicilian lemon tarts. The bill was reduced as we used my Blue Light card. We are very happy to recommend this restaurant.

Great find. If you stay at Stamford you may find that many of the restaurants are closed for dinner. The atmosphere is very kid friendly and brightly lit. Service is great and they provide a nice shot glass of lemonade to start off your meal. The prices are reasonable and there are nice vegan options like the lentil spaghetti and the salad with excellent goat cheese.
