Lovely experience for the family. From 15yrs to 70yrs, something on the menu for us all. Very friendly staff and really great food and service.

We haven’t been here for a while, no reason other than being busy, but have to say it was always good before, now it’s just outstanding! Superb staff, superb service, awesome food. We have vowed to come here regularly as it’s just fabulous. There is an intimate atmosphere as it’s fairly small, the tables are spaced well so you are not listening to other people’s conversations ..and the food is just top notch, superb…wow. We are regular visitors to Italy and this just makes us feel we are there when at home. We were thrilled to see they now also do the authentic carbonara without cream!! This place is an absolute gem…we promise to come back more often as every time we visit we just love it! Fabulous value too..just superb, thank you everyone for a great night.

We really enjoyed our meal here, this was the first time we had been here and will definitely be going again. Excellent gluten free menu with plenty of options. The owner was lovely, she made us feel very welcome and all the staff were really friendly. The place had a lovely ambiance and was busy but not too loud. Would definitely recommend!

Great pasta and excellent service, Cloisters is a fantastic choice for dining in central Stamford. With a wide range of options, we’re looking forward to exploring the menu further on our next visit.

We have just returned from Cloisters, we all had the Crab Linquine which was so delicious, followed by the following deserts; Cheesecake and my utmost favourite was the Pannacotta, for me it’s something I would not make myself and it was the best I have had. The service was excellent with a lovely ambiance. It was busy but not too noisy.

First visit, two couples, restaurant very clean - including toilets. Tables well spaced out, staff friendly and efficient. Food was very good, particularly the pizzas, puddings excellent Price very reasonable. Stamford a lovely town to visit. Will come again hopefully.

We had a lovely meal here early on a Thursday evening before a film at the Arts Centre. A great menu choice and hot and delicious food served. I enjoyed the prawn starter and mussels linguine. Will definitely visit again - service also excellent.

What a thoroughly modern Italian restaurant, loved the decor,atmosphere and the food was excellent. The portions were generous,food nicely presented and well spaced between courses.It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience

We were welcomed very warmly. I only had the soup and a side salad but both were delicious. My partner had a pizza and said it was excellent. He is really fussy about pizzas. My granddaughter loved her meal and so did our friend. No complaints at all.

We tried to get lunch at Cloisters prior to moving to Stamford - it was fully booked and I think that can be nothing but a good sign. Since being here we've eaten at Cloisters more times than I can think of, and at no point have we left disappointed. The pizza is some of the best I have ever eaten, the starters are always changing and interesting. The other mains have always hit the spot, and at same point the carbonara (my wife's favourite) stopped adding cream!! The owner (as I understand) is one of the greatest assets - recognises and continues conversation with us, and just knows the right things to say. After 7 years it is a shame to be leaving Stamford, and I will genuinely miss the warmth, service, and quality that Cloisters has delivered time and time again. We might be leaving, but I hope Cloisters never does and I fully expect an awesome meal the next time we're in town!

From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel so welcome. Jen, Dan and the team were all amazing. From friendly, attentive service, great wines and the food was incredible. The nduja dough balls were delicious and the duck lasagne was to die for. We left feeling like we were going to pop but was well worth it. We will definitely be back soon!! Rob and Soph x

Have eaten here before and it was our number one choice to come back to when we stayed at The George. Lovely small restaurant with friendly service and great food. We will be back... just wish we didn't live 150 miles away! Sensibly priced as well.

A firm favourite of ours for many years, even during lockdown. The couple who run Cloisters and their staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food offering is varied and consistently very good. There is a good and reasonably priced wine selection.

Rather disappointed with our meal having expected better things from the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. The menu is very limited which is not normally a bad thing but there were no mussels and non pasta/pizza options only left a choice of tuna or pork chops....

Went early on Friday lunchtime. Place was empty but rude waiter said we would have to wait an hour for a table. When questioned further he said tables were in 15 minute slots but gained impression we were not welcome as we were not dressed smartly. Saw two ladies turned away for the same reason. Took our business to Ask restaurant and had lovely service and a lovely meal. In this day and age of customer service this was very poor and will never visit the restaurant again.

Amazing little deli set in the heart of Stamford! The lady sales person today fantastic no pressure to sell you anything 10/10 ! Being an Italian we bought a few goodies as you can see by the pictures! A very high class deli & affordability is great ! Also next to it joining on to their restaurant very vibrant!

I visited Cloisters Italian Bistro last Saturday. The food was delicious & there was plenty of it. A satisfying experience at a time when in order to cut costs, portions are cut! Not a good long term strategy!! You only return if you are satisfied...

Fantastic, delicious food, nice relaxing ambience. We had the pasta fritti, the fried squid and the fococcia to start, all 3 were amazing. Then the carbonara and the gnocchi for the main. Really good but needed a doggy bag and we were stuffed.

Had a table for 4 early evening, the reception was great and this was followed by a really nice meal with excellent food. A very nice evening in a very pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended establishment but ensure booked in.

I've visited this independent, family-run restaurant several times over the past few years and it never fails to impress me. The couple who run the restaurant and their team really try their best to provide great, friendly, professional service and absolutely delicious food every time. I cannot praise the atmosphere, service and food highly enough. I would definitely recommend.

Visited 15th June 2023 5.30pm 4 in our party food was excellent I have to say the Duck Lasagne deserves an award in my opinion, stunning, the crab linguine was also rated highly, can it be repeated ? I'll be back again soon to find out.

Lovely lunchtime meal with 5 friends, pre-ordered to speed up service. After looking at the menu I chose a cheaper option of half pizza with small salad for £9 (lunchtime only option). Service and food were excellent and extremely friendly.

Fabulous food. The crab linguini is out of this world. Friendly service. Very reasonably priced. No annoying background music so able to hold a conversation. Plenty of space between tables. Very relaxing atmosphere.
