Breakfast par excellence! Mum and myself went for breakfast today. It was cooked with care (eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine). The poached eggs were just right and beautifully presented. Worth a big mention is the friendly and efficient serving staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!

As soon as I walked in and was greeted oddly I remembered the guy from a previous establishment. How he is front of house is beyond me. Anyway, visited for a Sunday roast. Ordered haddock chowder starter, received veg soup. Appeared they had given us the wrong menu but they didn’t address this, just provided the wrong dish. We didn’t realise they had changed menus until they were returned them to us to order dessert and they were different to the originals ones we were presented with. Roast beef itself was lovely but carrots burnt which overpowered the rest of the food and we weren’t offered sauces or anything so had to chase up. At no point were we asked if everything was ok. I won’t go back. Such a shame as it used to be a lovely pub.

Booked this for our Annual Family Christmas lunch. We were shown to the room upstairs. There were 10 of us including a 4 Yr old and a 1 Yr old so this was just perfect. The children were able to make as much noise as they wanted and we didn't need to tell them to sit down as there were no people in the room for them to upset. The food was really lovely including the children's menu. Most of us had the Roast Pork which was very tasty. My only complaint would be no crackling!!!! The staff were very attentive but also knew when to leave us to ourselves. We were not rushed and were able to stay upstairs for as long as we wanted. A really fantastic family gathering.

We’ve been to the White Horse many times over the years being a local favourite of hours. Our most recent visit however was not their finest hour! We were a group of 6, we got seated an hour after our booking time. The service (all round) was poor, the waiting staff didn’t seem to have time to take our orders, walking off before we had chance to finish! The vegetables for our mains came out around 15min after the mains themselves were served. There was more coffee in my saucer than in the cup. I’m made a comment about it but no apology, just a quip from the waiter! The final straw was we were given the wrong bill. All round, service poor however food was good (hence the 3 stars)

We made a reservation for a family Christmas meal for six (4 adults and 2 children). The food was fantastic, excellent quality, tasty and cooked to perfection. We choose the white horse in Baston to have a meal with friends. I had the fish and chips which was delicious especially the batter and curry sauce, i would definitely recommend this. My partner and one of our friends had the steak which was disappointing as it came with a pile of green lettice no other salad, A large mushroom and a small ramekin of chips (very few chips) I have added a photo of the 'cheese board' which I think you will agree isn't worth the £11 they are charging! 4 crackers, a chunk of apple, a few slivers of celery..no butter or grapes etc honestly shocking as this is something we often order elsewhere and never looks like this so i complained to the manger who refunded us one of our two cheese boards. A real shame as we've had lovely meals here in the past that have been worth the money spent but not this time. Given 3 out of 5 and not lower because this is a beautiful pub and we did have good service by the youngsters who served us.

I booked the function room at the White Horse for my parents' Golden Wedding anniversary meal and the occasion was fantastic in every way. The room itself (which I was unaware existed until recently) is a great space, tastefully decorated and with its own private outdoor patio. Simon, the manager, and his team went out of their way to make sure the evening worked well for us, from providing us with a bespoke menu to arranging the furniture to accommodate us all (there were 23 of us, including several children). I brought a lot of my own decorations, but the pub put flowers and candles on the tables, which I thought was a lovely touch. We made use of the TV in the room to display our slideshow of family photographs. The meal itself was excellent - we had several options for starters, mains and desserts. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food - I heard many positive comments about it. Speaking for myself, the Salmon Gravlax starter and Sea bass main were delicious! The pub also provided plates and cutlery for the cake that we had brought with us. All in all, we had a wonderful evening and couldn't have found a more perfect or welcoming venue. Would highly recommend!

We dropped in on the off chance for Sunday lunch and we’re shown a table straight away. We both chose the beef and a side of cauliflower cheese. The beef was melt in the mouth tender and served slightly pink. Roast potatoes, parsnips and a large carrot - all cooked beautifully. A huge Yorkie and a bowl of really fresh vegetables. All was fabulous. Will definitely be back, Thankyou

We were six friends for lunch. The ambience is good in this lovely, old pub, but it would have been nice to have a cushion or seat pad on the hard, wooden dining chairs. Our starters were very good, particularly the ham hock Scotch egg with a runny yolk. I could not fault the quality or the cooking of my steak. We all commented on the generous portion size of the protein element of the main courses but felt that the potato element was small. For me, that was fine but the men felt a little deprived!! But dessert portions were disappointing, especially for the price, and our poached rhubarb was hardly poached……..we couldn’t break it with a spoon and fork! But the homemade ice creams and sorbets were a delight. All these things are really quite minor but our biggest criticism has to be the Manager, or we assume he is the manager? He has no hospitality or social skills whatsoever and was bordering on rude. The few words he uttered were blunt and to the point, and there was no hint of a smile. When we left he was sitting on a chair by the Bar and did not even acknowledge us. That is a real shame because the two young waitresses were lovely…….friendly, smiley and efficient, which also served to accentuate his morose attitude. To sum it up, a big well done to the chef and waitresses, a needs to do better for the manager.

I was a bit disappointed with my meal last night, after not having been here for a meal for some time I was looking forward to it as I had previously reviewed the White Horse and marked it as Very Good.Firstly, we'd booked a table for 8 more than a month ago and this was situated opposite the side door and near the toilet entrance. Throughout the evening, the side door was continually being left open and smoke was wafting in from the smokers outside towards our table, and of course there was the constant to-ing and fro-ing of people to the toilets and the noise of the hand dryers as background noise! The bar area was very busy and I couldn't see any free tables in the restaurant area but the service was efficient and the food was delivered promptly. As for the food itself, I ordered a starter of Sticky Thetford pork for £6.75. This consisted of 2 small pieces of pork belly on a small salad of bean sprouts, carrots and coriander. The pork belly was disappointing, it had quite a bit of fat on it - from the description on the menu it wasn't clear what cut of pork it would be but, if using pork belly, I think it should have been cooked longer to break down the fat. There weren't many specials on offer so I then had the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce which was served with a few cherry tomatoes and mushrooms, some watercress and chips from the main menu. The steak was good but the chips could have done with longer cooking, they were rather pale and not golden and crisp. £18.50. For pudding I tried the tiramisu cheesecake which came with a small amount of chocolate sauce and a scoop of ice cream - £7.50. The cheesecake was very bland and didn't taste of tiramisu to me at all.Others tried the chocolate tart and the lemon brulee which they liked,Overall, this is not a cheap meal so there are high expectations set for the food, which unfortunately I felt was not delivered last night.

The White Horse is a lovely village pub with a great atmosphere. We've eaten here on several occasions and have never been let down. On this visit we enjoyed Sunday lunch. I chose Parma ham and nectarines with balsamic glaze to start which was lovely, followed by roast lamb. The lamb was served with roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips and a huge Yorkshire pudding and bowls of peas and cabbage were brought to the table. The lamb was tender and there was plenty of it. There were five choices for dessert, along with a wide selection of homemade ice creams and sorbets, and I opted for sorbet, one scoop each of raspberry and mango. The staff were attentive and professional and we will definitely be visiting The White Horse again. I couldn't recommend it more.

As regular visitors to this pub we know the food is good and weren't let down on this occasion. However the attitude of 1 member of staff in particular was a let down. Her friend came in and they stood chatting loudly at the bar discussing some boy they knew, whom they referred several times as a tw$t. Not language I expected to hear in the middle of service and in front of customers. Hope some staff training is due.

My wife and I were meeting with some family members who live Baston side of Peterborough. It was just for a meeting but we decided to arrive early and hope to get a bite to eat, if the White Horse did food.A little off the beaten track, even in a small village we were surprised at how nice the place was. obviously recently re-furbished and very nice too.The staff were friendly and produced menus when we asked if they did food. We took a table and studied both the menu and the specials board. The menus and specials selection were quite small. A good sign, if the menu ran to 50 choices in a small restaurant I wouldn't hold out much hope of quality across the range.Short of time we went straight for a main course. I ordered pan fried cod with a cauliflower and saffron puree. New potatoes and veg.I cannot say much more than it was beyond perfect. My wife had ordered battered cod with chips and mushy peas. it was obvious that the fish was identical to mine and told me it was fresh in the kitchen and being individually cooked to order.our family arrived and we got on with our meeting, we were going to forgo any further food but I couldn't resist a caramalized peach with toasted almond ice cream and fresh berries.I wished we had more time on our own to really savour the evening but it wasn't possible. It is just over half an hour for us to drive there but we will soon be back. The prices were at the upper end of pub/restaurant eating about £10 - £15 for main course (some were less) but worth every penny.A nice find!

On the arrival of 25 guests from a local school, we were not met by any member of staff, until a kind, young blonde waitress told us the room upstairs was ready. I was later told she had also given up her phone to play music on, to add atmosphere to the room, we finished our pre- drinks down stairs, then entered the room. The buffet was then served in a separate area. The buffet consisted of two large platters of mixed sandwiches, (vegetarians had to pick at them to find out which ones had meat in), tempura vegetables, thin greasy pizzas and some goat cheese flans. This meal was £14.50 per head making it a £360 total. This buffet was worth about £30. On a good note we were served all night by one member of staff who gave her best, taking glasses and asking if everything was alright and being very attentive. This was the same young girl from earlier. There was some other staff on, and one looked like she was a manager, as she wore a shirt instead of a t-shirt. This staff member ignored us all night and in my opinion was extremely rude, not even thanking us for our custom at the end (possibly about £450 with all our extras). We had to pay separately for any coffees/teas and desserts! It would have been nice if the hot drinks had been included and possibly a profiterole mountain or fruit salad had completed the buffet. A real shame as I have had several meals here and been pleased, the venue and location were ideal but the quality of food was definitely not the expected standard. The night was not ruined by the food but with a little more thought could have resulted in a positive feedback message. I hope you learn from this as 25 peoples' views are important to a pub that relies on word of mouth.

Chargrilled cauliflower and courgette does not warrant the price tag on the menu. All we got were a small quantity of raw vegetables flashed under the grill and served on top of the thinnest smear of cheese sauce on the plate. I called in here enroute back up North to check it out, so very glad I did!I had the Rhubarb cured Sea Trout to start which tasted better than Salmon Sashimi, served on a bed of celeriac and apple it was possibly the best starter I have had ever in a pub!The chargrilled Leg of Lamb (reared less than two miles away) was as good as the finest Hereford ribeye. I am rarely satisfied with the seasoning and balance of a plate, however, this was served with ratatouille, basil confit and salsa verde, as such I need no seasoning or condiment to bring this dish to life.I haven't even got to the superb decor and service and already want to go back!Value wise it is spot on, the menu is short, simple and executed precisely.I take my 'hat off' this is one of the best 'English Country Pub's' I have had the pleasure to experience.

With pleasant and knowledgeable staff, this is one of the best pub lunches I have had. I have a smaller appitite, so the portion was perfect, but someone with a larger appitite may want a starter and dessert. The vegetables, which I often find bland when eating out, were very tasty, and warm plates helped keep the food hot. We have tried to book the White Horse several times on a Saturday night but it has always been fully booked and after our visit it is clear to see why they are always full in the evening. So we decided to pop in on a Saturday afternoon for a meal, as it was quiet at that time. The staff were pleasant and the menu was explained, we were the only people eating but we were still welcomed. As there was only one vegetarian option of risotto on the main menu I choose a meal from the light snacks menu- Crumbed goats cheese, new potatoes and salad. I assumed as a light snack that the meal would not be enough to reflect the price but was very impressed with two large crumbed goats cheese which were cooked to perfection, perfectly melted cheese with perfectly cooked new potatoes and a beautiful tastily dressed salad. My partner went for the ballotine of chicken with baby leeks, carrot purée and game chips, I have to say he likes his chips and was expecting big chunky cut ones but when our plates arrived his face dropped with disappointment as his chips were sliced through a cheese grater....after starting his meal he was pleasantly surprised with the taste and texture and the little crunch he got from the chips, a perfect combination with the chicken and veg! He enjoyed every mouthful. I can honestly say this is the best pub/restaurant meal we've had in a long time.

The White Horse in Baston was recommended to us as a dog-friendly Pub-Restaurant with good food, served by friendly local staff at affordable prices and that was exactly our experience. Our waitress, Danni, greeted us with a friendly smile and offered us a choice of dog-friendly tables at which to dine. Every where was clean, modern, cosy and uncluttered. We chose "Snug 3" near the Wood Burner. The Sunday Menu was laid out with separate prices for 1, 2 or 3 courses, starting at £12 up to £18, so a minimum spend but good value thereafter. Other Menu options are available through the rest of the week. We ordered a two-course meal to share - knowing we could order more if still hungry - but the White Horse Burger & Chips was huge, hot & tasty and their Apple Crumble with Custard was hot, tasty and filling too. I'd recommend anyone dine or just stop by for cosy drinks at The White Horse, with or without their Pooch.Tip: Wifi is via The_Cloud and their No-Alcohol offering is Holsten 0%.

The White Horse is a vast improvement on the Spinning Wheel and is definitely a popular spot. The bar area needs better seating as some tables are too low with small uncomfortable chairs, more suitable for children. Probably due to the low ceiling it does get very noisy and very hot.The last time we ate there it was very busy; however, our last 2 dining experiences have been disappointing. Our main courses were on the whole overpriced for the quality. The hollandaise sauce was congealed in the jug; the vegetables were poor and had been thrown on the plate and portion sizes for the same dish varied from plate to plate. Service was poor, seemingly being run by teenagers whose attention it was difficult to attract.

Rarely do you get meat of this quality in a pub. The serving staff were all very young but very pleasant and competent. I liked the fact that they pointed out that the beef is served medium rare as standard but can be done to your liking. My wife likes hers a bit more well done. A varied selection of veg, lovely gravy and a massive Yorkshire pud made for a hearty meal. We will be back here for sure, despite the distance.

I was pleased to review this Restaurant/pub soon after is was opened, some 12 months ago, it was good then it is even better now.Six of us booked lunch and we were all very pleased with the food and service. The Chef is very creative, a Lamb Platter is fairly basic, but the :Lamb was beautifully cooked and came with a small dish of Shepherds Pie, Salad and a bowl of garden peas. on a slab of wood. To me Shepherds Pie has always been minced Lamb, but not here. It was roast lamb which was shredded with a fork topped with Mashed Lincolnshire potatoes, My pudding was Rhubarb Crumble with Stem Ginger and custard, very nice indeed. So for very good food go to The White Horse Baston

After eating here several times, my husband, I and some friends thought we would try one of their "themed" nights so went along to a curry night which must say did not disappoint as per usual. One of our party does not like curry but that wasn't a problem as their full menu was still available so smiles all round. The chicken korma (sorry not a lover of spicey) was absoloutely delish with very big chunks of chicken and light fluffy rice.Jack & Gina rose wine which is on offer is now one of my favourites - a very good find :-)After eating here and enjoying so much we then also purchased tickets from the bar to attend the "halloween party" at the barn which must say was fantastic. Not only did all the staff look amazing, WOW, what an incredible job making the barn look the part with yet again lovely meat & jacket potatoes on offer along with a "spooky" eye in your cocktail - yummy.Could not recommend The White Horse highly enough. Lovely staff, very attentive & friendly manager who always welcomes you, lovely atmosphere with a chef who delivers well presented and most enjoyable food every time - Keep up the good work.

The last time I visited this establishment was over 30 years ago, and it then called the Spinning Wheel. In that time it has obviously changed out of all recognition. Change for the better, I will add.Upon arrival it was obvious that this was no run if the mill food pub, we were soon seated with drinks from the bar, via some very pleasant waitress service. A choice was available from a snack or a main menu, prices ranged from around £8 to £20 for a main course. We chose a combination from both menu's . I had the spicy sausage from the snack and they were defiantly spicy. The people of Baston are luck to have such a nice gastro pub in the village, and passers bye are well advised to make the short diversion from the A15

The evening started with some trepidation as we arrived to find a visiting rugby team filling the bar, hardly conducive to a romantic atmosphere, although my wife didn't seem to mind for some reason. However they were polite, respectful, actually fine and left on the team bus shortly after we arrived. So, to the review: the welcome was warm, the selection of real ale good and service was with a smile. The menu, although on a single side of A4 gave a wide selection of tempting treats. As a veggie I tend to get excited when there is any veggie option but this time I had the challenge of having to choose from more than one dish. The food was served quickly, was well presented and delicious. The service was excellent, especially from the manager, sorry I think it was Ross or Russ but you will know who you are. Wine was poured immediately a glass was empty, water was replenished with out having to ask and when my wife spilled her port during the cheese course he was there with a cloth almost before the port had hit the floor.Wine, drinks and food all represented great value. We will return and only wished we lived within walking distance.

We went for Sunday lunch with friends (not normally a fan of Sunday Lunch out) well we had a great time the Pub/Restaurant has been really well renovated with lots of time and attention to detail.we were quickly seated (one small niggle two of our party had to sit on a rather uncomfortable bench/chair not good for a long Sunday lunch). Fantastic service all the staff were really friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble, the food was delicious and all arrived together piping hot and beautifully presented those who had the roast dinner all said t was delicious those that opted out also really enjoyed great pub classics, the wine and drinks were also very good.As I said at the start well worth a try, please keep up the great standards.

My family & I visited here on a busy Saturday night. The food & service was excellent! Saving a little room for dessert is well worth it. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the seating was a bit uncomfortable. Although it was furniture that really suited the decor. & some nice crusty bread on the table would have been nice. Very minor things for such a great meal! Will be returning & recommending.

Great food delicious risotto. Starters rather over priced for a pub but very flavoursome. Didn't eat puddings as were replete. A good dining choice but so busy on the Friday night so noisytoo. The restaurant is totally open to the bar and there was a young scene going on here. Some screens would help to cut the flow of noise and allow for pleasant chat! Not on this night though. Drinks pricey too. Although lovely food expensive for the pub experience.

Having only visited at a midweek lunch we decided to go for a Sunday dinner ....could it be as good? Answer easily YES!....the brisket beef cooked in ale, folded into a dumpling then Deep fried had to be the most surprisingly good starter I've had for a long time and my other half enthused about the creamed mushrooms on toast...I opted for the lamb option for dinner, and the beef was chosen by the wife....well presented, well cooked and satisfying we just couldn't manage a dessert.....fortunately we are booked in again for a themed Turkish night in the future....we look forward to being amazed again!

A group of us went for Sunday lunch with small children and found the staff, service and food to be excellent. There were kids choices for food which really hit the mark and the Sunday lunch menu offered a good varied mix from roasts, to fish and chips and other pub classics. I tried the courgette fritter which was delicious and followed with chocolate parfait which was perfectly light and not over-sweet. Really nice to find a pub that welcomes families so well.

Curiosity got the better of us after seeing all of the signage on the road advertising the new White Horse (formerlly the Spinning Wheel) in Baston. This place has had a complete makover and seems to have stepped up a couple of gears in terms of quality of food, style of menu but without the price going up too much. Service has been a little slow the couple of times that we've been but the food is of a generally good standard

Good Sunday lunch. Tasty, hot, good portions, small things done well all add up to a nice experience all round. We did tell them the potatoes were a bit dry and small, and they said another customer had said the same and assured us they would feedback to the chef. You got the impression they would. Decor nice, service good, price a bit more than elsewhere but only by enough to suggest its better than most....and it was. Recommended.

Before setting off on our 3 day trip we had looked on trip advisor for somewhere to eat and was impressed by the comments so we decided to give it a try - we were not disappointed. Both me and my son had Haddock Rissotto to start with and my husband had Lincoln Blue tart ,all 3 of us were highly delighted with the freshness and taste. For the main I had the Brisket of Beef and I cant describe how delicious it was, my son had Belly pork and said it was the best meal he had ever eaten in a restaurant, my husband had Chicken Ceasar Salad which was very well presented and plentiful. The vegetables were fresh and tasty. I couldnt manage a dessert but my husband had cheese and biscuits and my son had Iced parfait. The chef must be very proud of himself for producing such wonderful food. I must also add that the staff were very friendly and helpful. Well done !

First visit to the White Horse,Baston, formerly The Spinning Wheel,I believe. The frontage is narrow on to Church Street, very deceptive, but inside is a revelation following the refurbishment, very open, woody, tastefully painted and several distinct seating areas...apparently dog friendly in the centre bar area.Staff very pleasant and the chef was out and talkative on what for him was perhaps a quiet lunchtime.we split a salmon sandwich with fries, scotch egg with runny yolk and a recently deep fried coating, salad and cole slaw...all presented well and filling...the standard of the lunch and the enthusiasm of the chef made us determined to come back for a proper dinner...not this week though..a beer festival means busy bar staff ...there are upstairs rooms for parties or private dining......overall glad we travelled out to this quiet village....it's close to Waterside garden centre so we dropped in there after.

After an unexpected curtailed camping trip due to the Great British weather. A suggestion was made to get together with friends and children to try out the Local White Horse at Baston. The pub/ restaurant opened just shy of a year ago after a complete refurbishment. Both the inside and exterior have been well considered and are welcoming & spotlessly clean. The pub has a good local reputation, so much so booking a seat is getting to be difficultThe Pub / restaurant holds a monthly themed night, this months was Thai, next month will be Austrian. On these nights they have two menu’s available:One to suit the kids needs if required (£6 a kid for a 2 courses deal) which comprises of baguette pizzas, sausage and gravy, cheese pasta etc and puddings like home made jelly and ice cream and banana splitz etc. The quality was excellent, with a real hand made feel to it with particular attention to excellent home made real fruit jelly and excellent hand made ice cream. The themed menu (£10 a head) which included a “thali “of Thai food such as Thai fish cakes, chicken Green Thai curry, Beef Red Thai curry, prawn pad Thai noodles, a Thai soup/broth and steamed rice. Again the quality was excellent. The food was good value and well made, and I’m scoring it as a 7.5/10 for the following reasons1) the Red Thai curry tasted a little more like Beef Rendang but was delicious2) The green Thai curry lacked the heat normally associated with this dish with it and lacked the vibrancy of fresh lemon grass and basil against the zing of fresh lime in the dish3) the bread and butter pudding (laced with apricots) was good but just lacked that punch of extra flavour, it just needed something else (possibly cinnamon, perhaps brown sugar, lemon zest and an apricot jam to the stick the bread together to add flavour running through it to give it that extra buzz.4) The portions were smaller than our group where expecting both the adults and the kids both declared thisTo give balance to this review, it’s one of the best local meals out we’ve ever had out, I highly recommend it to you here we will definitely be going back, if fact we’d love to give the Sunday Roast a try…. But please shhh keep this one a secret.

Our third visit and we tried the pork belly which was absolutely spot on. The pork stood out among other pork bellies I've tried as it was perfectly executed with just the right balance and really melt in the mouth meat. Think it was even better than our previous meal here. Couldn't resist the puddings and opted for the treacle tart which was spiked with stem ginger- a really good turn on a classic with light and crisp pastry...even more wicked was the accompanying clotted cream ice cream. A truly heavenly dessert. With food like this we'll definitely be back for more.

We have eaten here twice now. On both occasions the food has been excellent. Even on a weekday evening the restaurant is full, so it is worth phoning to book a table. Service was a little lacking this time round. One waiter removed our plates without asking if we had finished when we still had cheese on our cheeseboard. A different waiter was asked for the bill by my husband and then presented it to one of our guests, so we had to wrestle it back! However, we would not hesitate to return.

Used to visit this pub when it was the Spinning Wheel and this was the second time I had tried to obtain a table a the White Horse - the first time it was fully booked so rang a week in advance this time to make sure. This shows how popular this pub has become. The food was delicious, but there could have been more of the special fish dish for the price of £14.00 as it has no extra vegetables and seemed a bit small on the large plate it was served on. The fish, chips, peas and tartare sauce meal was good though, the fish was haddock and was tasty and enormous! Not a great choice of desserts, but the white chocolate is to be recommended. The staff are friendly and efficient and I would visit again when I fancy fish and chips!

Booked last minute on a Thursday night and had to arrive late so they could fit us in - goes to show something!Arrived to a very pleasant atmosphere, the place has been brilliantly done and has a good buzz inside without getting too loud. The service from start to finish was attentive and friendly. As for the food, we had three lovely starters and three mains, one being the rib of beef special for two. This could easily have fed three, but was too enjoyable to leave anything - not for the faint hearted but incredibly tender, tasty and well backed up with sides to balance things out.All in all the food was wonderful, the service flawless, and the place itself finished brilliantly with a great atmosphere.

Unfortunately wasn’t very happy, with the last couple of visits we have visited breakfast is usually lovely, but the last couple of visits now and the sausages had no colour on the outside at all and when you cut into them, they were raw!.put us off our breakfasts! The staff member was polite and apologetic, not charging for the faulty food, unfortunately she said it was busy, this is no excuse, a separate person cooks the hot food the drinks and cakes are served by other staff, we were the only ones with a cooked breakfast, everyone else had cake and tea!. What a shame, as we use it quite often!.
