BEST ploughman's. Sounds simple to do, but lovely touches and quality ingredients.

The room was terrific. It had everything you would expect in a King Room. Service was good and the staff made us feel welcome. The breakfast was cooked to order. The presentation was great and the food was very tasty and plenty of it. A great stay.

A quiet side-street location, handy for the railway station and a short walk from the town. Basic but comfortable rooms. Self-service breakfast provided in the rooms.

I asked a rare and a medium steak. Both came out burnt. So they replaced them with another 2 burnt steaks. I asked for a shandy and that came with soda water rather than lemonade. They said their dispenser was broken. I would say this was the worst sizzlers restaurant I have ever been to.

Mid week stay. Characterful building goes without saying, part being decorated by Burleigh trades during our stay. Pub of the Year 2024 it proclaimed on our arrival but whose was not clear. Very hospitable host. Comfy room given the building's age with impressive bathroom. Service patchy; our room wasn't made up one morning. Slightly quirky breakfast menu. Enjoyable days out spent exploring Burleigh House, Gardens & Park and roaming the streets of Stamford on the town trail available from the Arts Centre.

It was closed, at 7am, but Google keeps bothering me for a review. I was just walking past. But to keep Google happy, I'll just rate it average.

Nice spacious interior very causal and relaxed, with lots of seating, drinks galore as with all Starbucks and light snacks in the form of sandwiches and heated sandwiches and sweet bite too, not a large selection to eat more of a drink and rest place, free parking too.

Very disappointed.BEWARE as things are either not proved correctly or have no prices on (it'll be expensive). We called to book for a roast, turned up at the time advised to be told they no longer had the roast so had to select on from the normal menu. With hungry children, we had no choice. After hesitantly choosing from the very little choice, the food came very quickly. 2 steaks came out cold and way undercooked. Veg was watery and a few of our selections wrong. These were sorted but not to the standard you expect. Clearly the time we were told to come was too late and things were being rushed and cold. When paying we were very shocked at the prices. After some working out we questioned staff we were told that 2 of them were priced wrong by £6! We were not offered the difference back that they would 'let the manager know' and when argued we're told we could have the service charge back. Not the price difference. Baffling, as we were not questioning any service charge- just the mis advertised prices! All in all the prices are definitely not a reflection of what you receive & don't be shocked when you retrieve the bill!

food is tasteless and soggy. only thing making it a 3 star is the portion size. i ordered a medium fish and chips, i got way more than i bargained for.

Highly recommend. The ladies are so friendly and the cake is absolutely delicious! This is also a great spot to grab lunch.
