100% my worst experience in a “restaurant” very shocked with the staff very rude, very judgey and not dressed appropriately for being a “waitress” serving food in crop tops with belly buttons hanging out, and very long hair waving about while food is around, within 2 minutes of sitting down we got asked what drinks we want, our coats still on and not even a chance to look at the menu. they got our food order wrong and still decided to argue after i know what i will ordered. we had to wait over 30 minutes for “the only highchair” when the woman brought the highchair over it was still covered in food from the child before, i asked for it to be cleaned and she says “yes i can give it a quick wipe” not even doing the chair its self just the tray so i asked for the seat to be cleaned too. waited just under an hour 45/50 minutes for 2 simple panini, chips and a kids meal, the paninis came out burnt, ham was all fatty and the littlest of cheese, on my childs plate the chips way over cooked, very stodgy beans looks as if to be left a while, served on a plate the size of my child, after asking for any children’s cutlery. they said “dont know will look” came back and threw them down on the table. The atmosphere was very dull no one speaking and again very judgmental as my child wasn’t very happy about getting in the highchair i got a lot of looks and felt very uncomfortable, overall not a good experience at all, very disappointed after eating and drinking in the fleece before it got taken over its a shame the way it is now.

Went with a family party of 8 midweek. Food was absolutely lovely although a little on the pricey side in my opinion. Service was very slow and we had to chase to get tabled cleared after main course. I appreciate that you don't want to be rushed, but equally don't want to be waiting ages either. It was midweek but quite busy and I don't think there was enough staff on. Would certainly go again.

Been here before and had previously great service and food. Today was disappointing. The waitress who seems to be in charge was not welcoming and bordering on dismissive and defensive when I gave feedback regarding chocolate served that was musty in flavour. I didn’t want a discount or alternative just wanted to give a heads up that the chocolate on display had gone off. The cream tea we ordered was pleasant.

It was like stepping back in time, both my wife and I had been in the 70s and 80s and I think it’s fair to say it hasn’t changed. The cutlery the crockery, all of the era.. It’s the first time I can remember going to a restaurant and be given an A4 sheet of paper with the menu handwritten on it . No mention of food allergies and no mention of accompanying sides, it was all a bit bizarre.. The owner and chef clearly thinks he’s on point with his food, it was good without being good enough . There was us and one of the couple, so the atmosphere was pretty dire . We gave it a go, we definitely won’t be back . My wife thought the wine was pretty rank. The beer was okay but well overpriced when you can buy it in Tesco’s for a couple of pounds. . No draft beers(I don’t include lager and beer) We gave it a try, we had a fun evening because of the other couple as well. We got on well but it’s not a place I could go back to and I definitely couldn’t recommend it.

We visited the Bull and Swan for a midweek evening meal. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was one of a good ‘local’. My husband’s Bull burger was made with good quality meat and he found it to be tasty. I ordered fish and chips and, whilst the chips were very good, I have to agree with a previous reviewer that there was little fish in relation to the amount of batter.

Nice spacious interior very causal and relaxed, with lots of seating, drinks galore as with all Starbucks and light snacks in the form of sandwiches and heated sandwiches and sweet bite too, not a large selection to eat more of a drink and rest place, free parking too.
