The room was terrific. It had everything you would expect in a King Room. Service was good and the staff made us feel welcome. The breakfast was cooked to order. The presentation was great and the food was very tasty and plenty of it. A great stay.

We have enjoyed staying at this hotel before, this time we have had a tapping noise all night, kept us awake and the bed is not very comfortable

Three night stay, lovely room, breakfast and ideally situated. The free of charge public carpark at the rear can be a bit of pot luck. We visit Bourne 2/3 times per year and the Angel Hotel will be our favoured base.

This is a wonderful old inn in the centre of Bourne.... It was such a nice change from staying at bland big chains... The staff was caring, very tasty breakfast... Now, the décor... In years fine by very strong colours were used and the are now decorating in period colours... I was surprised at how much liked them... So nice from the eternal magnolia... And now I understand gold frames and decorations... They work so well against a deep blue... I thought it was stunning... It is worth pointing out that all rooms are on the first floor with steps all over the place...you have to be mobile to get to them.... That is how it is with old places such as this. We would go again, no problem...

Called in for a late lunch as it appeared to be the only place open and serving food in town. The cafe area was an eclectic mix of styles, in the middle of which was an office. Food and presentation was OK, but pretty basic. Table hadn't been cleaned from previous visitors. They understood customer's finances were tight ensuring the coffee was dual purpose and could be used as paint stripper if you couldn't force yourself to finish it.

Ruth, but also the entire team have been wonderful hosts. We were guests from Germany in the UK for a business trip and were positively surprised about the hospitality, friendliness and warmth of the Britons. Thank you for the pleasant accommodation. We felt very much at home.

BEST ploughman's. Sounds simple to do, but lovely touches and quality ingredients.

My 12 year old son brought a regular Chips for £3.50 yesterday Friday the 9th of may. Only to find a small black hair amongst the pricey chips. Not only that at least half the chips had black in them.

It was a surprise lunch for me from my lovely friend who drove me all the way to Stamford especially to take me out for lunch at the cozy club and for me to photograph the town afterwards. It was lovely walking in … what a lovely environment and beautifully decorated too and very welcoming staff. We had a nice table and had a fabulous meal together. Thank you so much. We will come again. Rosemarie Jarvis Hanworth Hats
