Seated quite quickly but wasnt sure whether to order at bar or table. At the table it turned out. Food very fresh ,four adults four different choices from the menu -were happy to take out components not liked by one diner.a bit on the pricey side. The atmosphere was lovely fairly busy but chilled. Good to see only veggie options weren’t veggie burgers,chilli or curry. Worth going back for that alone. Toilets were upstairs not sure whether there is a toilet downstairs for less abled.

Lovely place this. Had the club burger with onion rings as a side and it might have been one of the best I've had. It was lush. Service was excellent and price was pretty reasonable to be honest...happy all round with everything. Would 100% come back and will come back.

It was a Monday evening, so there weren't too many people in there, but we had 2 lovely waitresses serving our table of 12. Food was good. Had a great night.

Apparently you need to book to eat here, even though the place was half empty on arrival this afternoon ? Sat to wait at the bar but the server never came back to us , so obviously we left ..I’d rather have a straight No than bump up your bar sales ..Stamford has enough good pubs for that ! Complete waste of our time..

Had dinner with my daughter and it was such a lovely experience. Friendly staff, very cool interior and great food! We had a salad and a vegan burger. So good!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

Enjoyed fathers day lunch here today. The service provided was impeccable how refreshing to have a totally engaged and attentive lady taking our order with a smile! Would certainly recommend and will absolutely visit again.

Well seems nice on entry but the drink prices are extortionate, and I had a Burger and fries which really was awful, the bun was not for a burger, the actual burger was tasteless and quite frankly I won't be going again.

Great food, great value cocktails on the 2 for £12.95. Staff were excellent. Overall a brilliant date night out and great value

I run a weekly drawing club at this venue and the staff are always very welcoming. The venue looks great and the food is very nice too.

Great size place lots seats shame there isn't any outside for hot days but the drinks are good quality and and taste good especially the cocktails.

Typical Cosy Club so you know what you’re getting. Almost empty mid morning but we were still asked to order at the bar. Food was good rather than anything special. We’d certainly call in again - but there’s a lot of competition in Stamford.

Good place to go for breakfast, brunch or lunch. They serve you English food at affordable prices. It is a quiet and super cozy place. You could be having coffee or a meal. The service is a little slow but I generally like it.

We went there for lunch as part of a short visit in the area. The food was delicious and very well presented and the staff was nice and friendly. They were very kind and flexible with us having our dogs despite our puppy being vocal at times… the place is full of character and I definitely recommend it if you are in Stamford!

What a disappointment! Largely the food ... in brief (as I wont be back anytime soon ...) With 2 guests, I spent £ 86 on Mains portions (all 3) that were small; Condiments / sauce portions that were also small and one not what I wanted (asked for French mustard, was given English without explanation). My main, a House beef burger, was tepid. The accompanying red onion was picked and stringy. Chips were nice but again little portions. This was hidden in a cone shaped paper holder ... and served in a metal jug at least twice the size so you did'nt see it. The olives portion on a small plate was quite hard and 'stone in'. Ugh. The bread small plate looked good but half the crusts were very hard. The butter was served on a piece of greaseproof paper tasted Ok. But it looked like it had just come out of a microwave and was all runny. The appearance was as if rancid. Ugh. The chocolate with caramel desert was missing the salt - it tasted Ok when salt addI wont say any more other than ... that there was no farewell greeting as we left, despite us not complaining ... I didnt want to upset my 2 guests as I had invited them. Sufficient to say, I wont be going back as Stamford has nicer places with better food at a comparable price.

Went here for Mother's day with my wife's parents. We arrived first and were shown to the table. Because the in-laws were running late, they looked at the online menu and ordered what they wanted. When the food arrived, the mother's in-laws salad had cheese on it, which she can't eat. The meal was swapped out with the same thing minus the cheese at no extra cost even after we said it was our fault, they even gave us a free refill of drinks. Customer service was one of the best experiences

We have been coming here for a long time and I've noticed the last few visits that things have just started to go downhill rapidly. The service has become diabolical. 5:00 p.m. extremely quiet plenty of staff we must have sat there for 15 minutes at least before anybody came over at all. Nobody else is if we wanted a drink some water was brought to the table. Just went straight to ordering food because nobody asked as if we actually wanted a drink and the manager said did we want some olives. Sure. 25 minutes later when no olives had turned up and still nobody had bothered to offer other drink I cancelled the olives and said where's the actual food? 20 seconds later the food appeared dried out because it obviously been stood there for some time as the staff are all too busy talking to each other to bother to serve the customers anymore. Dried out burgers are not tasty. Anyway this place needs a new management team quickly it used to be amazing and we've been going for well over five years. Is totally lost its spark in atmosphere and the staff have become extremely well trained at customer eye contact avoidance. Stamford is a vibram place and there are plenty of other options available

The Cosy Club is a beautiful venue with a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely and service was 100% as good as you could expect.

Thursday 28th March 2024 lunch. Mixed feelings. We usually enjoy the food here and the atmosphere but we were very disappointed by the Sesame Salmon. It was dry and shoddily presented for the price...£18.

We have just returned home from a weekend in Stamford. We ate breakfast here twice and dinner one evening. The food and service was exemplary! The quality of the food was incredible and the Seabass was the best I have ever had. Our waitress Aimee on the first evening was perfect! Very attentive and because of the food and service we returned the following morning to have breakfast where we were looked after by Szandra. What a lovely human? We enjoyed chatting to her and once again the service was incredible. So good that on the morning of our final day we decided to return once more for breakfast. I highly recommend the food here.

Food was very nice!! Had quite a long wait to be asked what we wanted to order after being seated and it wasn't that busy........

I’ve waited a while to post this review as I feel I’m being a bit harsh on some of the food. Overall the experience was really good, the staff were great and everything went smoothly. Buttermilk chicken was more of a breaded chicken escalope. It was perfectly nice, but not really what was expected. The rest of the meals were all nice - overall we were happy.

Food and service has really taken a down turn recently.

Really great food, great selection inckud8ng for vegetarians and vegans and all very tasty! Service is good occasionally a little slow, but very friendly and polite. The atmosphere is nice but it is very open plan and loud, some booths would be nice.

OMG, so glad I have finally been to a cosy club for the first time. And what a way to start of the newly found chain for me. The decor is just amazing, the cocktails are lush and to top it all, our dogs were allowed in the bar area. Service was great too. Looking forward to going to the one near us (Norwich) now, but also looking forward to returning to this one when we return to Stamford

It was an absolutely amazing experience, I mentioned to our waiter it was my birthday, I got a birthday Prosseco and a candle on my dessert. The starters were amazing. Been to the Cosy Club in Leicester many times and have always been a fan. This was our first experience of the Stamford one and it did not disappoint. Just love the vibrant atmosphere of these places. Great interior design, nice clientelle, good service, good food and for us, we were with good company. Great evening had and would definitely return, and probably shall.

Came here for the first time, me and my fiancé have just bought a house and wanted to scout out some places to take our families when they visit. Gave me the same vibe from a restaurant at home so really loved it. The place was heaving but the bar was separate from the eating part so you didn’t have people clambering past while you were enjoying food. Would really recommend, 10/10

Took 5 grandchildren in for ice cream and 3 adults for coffee.... above £30!!! It was lovely to sit down and rest after a 4 mile hike, but terribly expensive for 3 x 2 scoops and 2 x 1 scoop!

I go in here when I’m in town, which is less frequent nowadays and it’s usually pretty good. However today I was sold and served a coffee without a word being uttered by the server, which is as impressive as it is poor. The coincidence is we walked by another place and considered going in but decided to stick to what we know. So on balance I recommend the cosy club in Stamford but I do think today’s visit was odd to say the least.

Very disappointing visit today after some previously good trips here. Used to be one of our favourite places to eat but we will skip in future and head to the many other lovely eateries in beautiful Stamford. The garden brunch was underwhelming with burnt rosti in tiny square cubes and 3 tiny cherry tomatoes with an ice cream scoop size of what they called crushed avocados and minted peas. A few beans in a very small ramekin and 1 small egg made it feel paltry. The duck confit at a costly for what it was 17.95 was really poor value coming with a few butter beans and tomatoey sauce with chorizo but didn’t come with anything else. I had to order some bread to make it a meal of any substance at an extra 4.45 and expected more for the price. The club sandwiches with chicken were loaded with mayo that left a cloying taste that wasn’t the best experience. Whilst we appreciate food and labour costs have risen hugely it feels compared to their previous menus that the food quality and volume has been scrimped. A chilly day outside - if it is when you visit wear something warm as it was cold inside. The bathrooms are looking tired and need a lick of paint and a clean - especially in the ladies round the sinks and hand drier. Won’t be rushing back which is a shame.

Booked a table for a late breakfast, decor is nice, quite traditional, suits the town. Where the tables for food are placed is rather cold though, perhaps due to the skylight above or there was a draft. Overall the service was slow. We waited nearly ten minutes till we could order anything. First thing everyone wants of course is a coffee, they took half an hour! There’s one coffee machine at the bar and looked like 2 people manning it. When we wanted an extra coffee later we were told there’d be quite a wait as there was a backlog. The place was nowhere near full either. They need to sort this out. Get more coffee machines and people who can bang them out. 30 mins for 2 coffees is ridiculous. We had a selection of the breakfasts. By the time it arrived we were starving. The portions are a bit mean but spread out on a big plate. The signature breakfast had 2 bacon rashers, almost burnt to a crisp. They were blackened and shattered when I put my fork on it. Not good. There was only one sausage, one egg, 2 cherry tomatoes, one mushroom, a little pot of baked beans and a small piece of toast. Quite a mean portion for nearly £11 I think. I was really looking forward to a breakfast out in Stamford but I wouldn’t come back here again. It wasn’t good value for money, wasn’t cooked well and was a small portion, plus the immense waiting time. Get more staff. Get more coffee machines, don’t burn breakfast, increase the portion sizes.

I ate chicken, bacon and avocado salad which was really delicious. We had dinner and drinks. The driver with us had a non alcoholic cocktail which was made with fresh ingredients. The service was quick and efficient. The staff were welcoming and friendly. My husband even got a free birthday glass of Prosecco! A relaxed and happy atmosphere, busy and friendly. We have been many times and will return!

They didn’t let my children access the washrooms even after ordering drinks service was biased and not adequate.

Food was better than the last visit,however, still expensive, and the whole place needs a face-lift. The walls need upgrading ,the decor changing and the radiator in the men's toilet is still rusty. Although everyone enjoyed, personally the idea of being in the dark in a very poor decor environment does not inspire.

Noisy cavernous crèche, couldn’t hear myself think with the sound of screaming small children. Service was extremely slow, expect to be repeatedly ignored whilst standing at the bar, clearly not enough staff assigned to serving. The only saving grace is that they serve Hofmeister on draft.

I have been to the cosy club several times. It offers a good range of vegan/ vegetarian food. The atmosphere and staff are always pleasant.

A super meal thank you at the cosy club . First time here and we will be back.. we didn’t have a booking but were welcomed and looked after so well, special thank you to Isla our waitress who was so friendly and helpful, and very smiley. x

Me and my family went here for dinner and we loved it so much. The food was really tasty and the service was great, the waiting time was a few minutes. The place is really cozy and clean. 5/5 would recommend.

Amazing service from Cat and Curt and a big thank you to Lelde for making sure we got a table as they were very busy! We had the Turkey pie which I’d recommend to all, it’s Christmas in a pie!!! Fab cocktails from the bar staff too, a perfect pre christmas night out

Beautiful evening spent at the Cosey Club with family. The atmosphere was great, staff were so attentative and food quality was excellent.

I visit regularly since the Cosy opened years ago for afternoon coffee. The Cosy Club is the former Stamford parcel sorting office, an interesting large high spacious victorian building with large airy skylights, upgraded with chandeliers and finished and soft furnishings in the Manor of Burghley House. The theme Cosy Cumfy very much complimenting its name. The dining areas are divided between the restaurant and more casual areas. The restaurant is well set out with attractive deco style furniture and the result is that the decor, deco and cosy ambiance make dining at the Cosy Club an enjoyable experience. The cosy style of furnishing throughout the casual areas attracted day trade, mums and children et al but unfortunately this has been lost to some extent because of a sudden move toward King's Cross style furniture, high stools and tables, not suited to this customer!....Not so Cosy any more? More commercial for peak times perhaps but at the expense of the day to day custom? I recommend a visit if you haven't yet been, its nice to spend some time, its an experience to be enjoyed and not found elsewhere. The food, I've sampled most menus over time and recommend. The staff are all brilliant.

Overall experience was positive, food was fairly good, just above the "above average" mark, service was fairly cold, staff were clearly just trying to get through the orders as fast as possible, It was fairly busy when I visited so I can't "fully" fault this, a bit of personality wouldn't go a miss however. The wait time for the food was fairly long, probably pushing 40 minutes from ordering, but as mentioned above, it was busy. A strong 3 to a light 4 star.

We dropped in for lunch today. We had a duck leg confit and a salmon with sesame seeds. Both were absolutely delicious. They wery tasty, well presented and a good portion size and serviced at the correct temperatures. They are served on lovely dishes …but the plates were cold……therefore the food lost it temperature very quickly. You can always tell when the food service staff can carry the plates from the kitchen without the need for a cloth to insulate their hands from the HOT plates. ……..A gripe of mine! The restaurant wasn’t very busy…but as is often the case, in my view, the staff are not as attentive they might be……we had to seek attention every time we needed to be served…rather than them keeping an eye open! All that said …….it was very good!….and we'll be back!

We had a private party in the mess upstairs. The staff were so helpful, they couldn’t do enough to make our evening perfect. The food was delicious, so many of our guests commented on the quality of the food, there was nothing left! I can’t recommend it enough for a lovely evening. Thank you!!

Came in on a whim as we were on a day trip to Stamford - and I’m so glad we did! Service was spot on, food was excellent, atmosphere was lovely. All in all an absolute 5* belter of a place!

We had part of my daughter’s hen party here, the after event brunch. We had the private room and the venue couldn’t have been nicer about it, especially as we had to make some last minute unavoidable changes to our arrangements. The lady who served us was just lovely (I’m so sorry I can’t remember your name!) and really helped make the whole thing a fabulous experience. They let us decorate the room, the food was great, service brilliant and it really rounded off our weekend nicely. Thank you!!

Went for a birthday celebration. They were extremely accommodating when our party of 8 arrived in stages. Food was pleasant and arrived in good time. Good choice of drinks. Didn't have either of my two choices of scotch from the menu, but this situation was saved by the one thing that stood out from our visit, our server Robyn. What an absolute darling. Extremely helpful and smiling throughout, she is truly a credit to the establishment. May you pass on my kindest of regards.

The greeting at the entrance was a bit underwhelming, but another member of staff, who was looking at the screen by the entrance, saying to the person greeting us, 'get them sat down, it's like a cattle market in here', was shocking, he must have known we could hear him. Shame, as service was fairly quick and the food was nice, but people working in hospitality, need to be hospitable!

Decent food in a nice town centre location. Everything was well cooked and with good quality ingredients. Would benefit from black pudding on the breakfast dish...

A discovery. A huge space off the main street, hidden in plain sight as they say. Had a wait a few minutes to get a table at lunchtime on a week day, not because of availability of tables, but to offer space to the kitchen to keep up with orders! It's that busy and popular it seems. Service was friendly and the food super tasty. Great decor and light in the space too. Definitely recommended!
