Another Sunday eating fabulous as usual great food service , able to bring pooch bonus

First time for us here, and really pleased we visited for breakfast. We were looked after by Lorien, who was as polite and as helpful as you would want. Food was lovely, as were the coffees. Great place, fab ambience. Will be back to try the lunch menu next.

Very impressive experience! We went there for breakfast and loved it. The place is very nice inside, a clean big space. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was a great with nice presentations.one of the best smashed avocados and poached eggs I tried! The breakfast tea was really nice, not sure which brand they use. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere was lovely.

Very attentive and friendly staff. 10/10 for the excellent service we received. However, the drink prices were ridiculous and was no surprise that the place was not busy on a Friday night. I pay less when going out to dinner in London's West End, so how can you justify such a massive margin in Stamford? The food was also expensive, compared to what you can get in other places. I would expect this sort of quality in a Witherspoon pub, for a fraction of the price. I don't mind paying for quality but I can't help feeling that I was ripped off. Like I said, the service was probably the best that I've experienced in a long while, but the prices? Never again I'm afraid.

Popped in on a cold day, very pleasantly surprised at how good it was! First time for us and we will be back, the food was really good and the service excellent.

Had a lovely lunch here today - Asian Chicken Salad with a green smoothie. Nice atmosphere. The only down side was that when we arrived we were told there was a 10 minute wait and we could get a drink. A bit confusing as there were plenty of empty tables . We waited longer than 10 minutes and when another couple walked in and were seated immediately I asked why we were still waiting, and we were taken to one of the empty tables straight away! No apology though and we’d been waiting ages. Still the food was good!

Rather cosy indeed. It reminds me of some clubs in London. We sat in a cosy corner. It was busy evening but we had our privacy.

Called in for Brunch and really enjoyed the food. Nice place with cool decor and staff are friendly. Dogs are welcome in the bar area, a good selection of Hot, cold and alcoholic drinks available.

Came here to celebrate a Birthday. Everything was spot on. The food was hot and delicious, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Even though it was really busy you could still have a conversation and hear what people were saying!

I have been to several of these and always enjoy eating there. This was no exception. Despite the early opening for breakfast, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Never been and having heard people recommend here I wasn't impressed. Honestly hate doing bad reviews but the food was not very good, I'm also not someone to send food back as not saying they would but you never know what happens. We went for a family birthday meal and everyone choose there meals. My partner is gluten intolerant so meals can be difficult to get decent food. We shared a pork belly and safe to say we had 4 pieces to shard between 2 for nearly £10. I expected more pieces for something that was labled sharer and the bits were fatty and gristle rather than any meat at all. We then had our main and the gluten free burger looked in my opinion bland, dry and burnt. Which my partner told me it was bland and burnt. (Understand non gluten food can be difficult to make). Also ordered sweet potato fries instead of fries which they got wrong, however they were quick to rectify but with burnt sweet potato fries. My chicken burger wasn't burnt but it felt like there was too many fillings, sauces and veg inside and too over baring with so many flavours. Chips were very good but the slaw that comes with it tasteless and bland. Our Son had maccaroni and cheese which he enjoyed apart from the garlic bread was a little too done and very herby for a child. We did ask for a refund on the gluten free meal which was given and can't complain at that, the staff were apologetic and appreciated that. The reason not sending food back is as said above about returning it and not knowing. Also we don't like being those people when everyone else is eating returning food and causing a scene. So choose not too. With this being said the customer service was good. Got a refund for burnt food. Staff were apologetic and helpful. Believe manager came over at the end and apologised which was nice but feel I'll avoid as paying that price for food which we didnt like isn't great especially with cost of everything going up.

Visited the Cosy Club in Stamford for the first time today. We had a great time’ cannot fault it. The food was amazing and the staff were really friendly. Sean who looked after us even found us a table when it was really busy after we turned up early. Will definitely be goin back.

Visited again in August after how.good food was in March. Had dinner twice and again food, service and atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend

Seated quite quickly but wasnt sure whether to order at bar or table. At the table it turned out. Food very fresh ,four adults four different choices from the menu -were happy to take out components not liked by one diner.a bit on the pricey side. The atmosphere was lovely fairly busy but chilled. Good to see only veggie options weren’t veggie burgers,chilli or curry. Worth going back for that alone. Toilets were upstairs not sure whether there is a toilet downstairs for less abled.

Lovely place this. Had the club burger with onion rings as a side and it might have been one of the best I've had. It was lush. Service was excellent and price was pretty reasonable to be honest...happy all round with everything. Would 100% come back and will come back.

Apparently you need to book to eat here, even though the place was half empty on arrival this afternoon ? Sat to wait at the bar but the server never came back to us , so obviously we left ..I’d rather have a straight No than bump up your bar sales ..Stamford has enough good pubs for that ! Complete waste of our time..

Had dinner with my daughter and it was such a lovely experience. Friendly staff, very cool interior and great food! We had a salad and a vegan burger. So good!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

Well seems nice on entry but the drink prices are extortionate, and I had a Burger and fries which really was awful, the bun was not for a burger, the actual burger was tasteless and quite frankly I won't be going again.

I run a weekly drawing club at this venue and the staff are always very welcoming. The venue looks great and the food is very nice too.

Great size place lots seats shame there isn't any outside for hot days but the drinks are good quality and and taste good especially the cocktails.

Typical Cosy Club so you know what you’re getting. Almost empty mid morning but we were still asked to order at the bar. Food was good rather than anything special. We’d certainly call in again - but there’s a lot of competition in Stamford.

Beautiful building and decor. Great atmosphere. Sometimes service is a little slow but they are always fairly busy. Good choice of food, drinks and cocktails and a great place for a party/get together.

We went there for lunch as part of a short visit in the area. The food was delicious and very well presented and the staff was nice and friendly. They were very kind and flexible with us having our dogs despite our puppy being vocal at times… the place is full of character and I definitely recommend it if you are in Stamford!

What a disappointment! Largely the food ... in brief (as I wont be back anytime soon ...) With 2 guests, I spent £ 86 on Mains portions (all 3) that were small; Condiments / sauce portions that were also small and one not what I wanted (asked for French mustard, was given English without explanation). My main, a House beef burger, was tepid. The accompanying red onion was picked and stringy. Chips were nice but again little portions. This was hidden in a cone shaped paper holder ... and served in a metal jug at least twice the size so you did'nt see it. The olives portion on a small plate was quite hard and 'stone in'. Ugh. The bread small plate looked good but half the crusts were very hard. The butter was served on a piece of greaseproof paper tasted Ok. But it looked like it had just come out of a microwave and was all runny. The appearance was as if rancid. Ugh. The chocolate with caramel desert was missing the salt - it tasted Ok when salt addI wont say any more other than ... that there was no farewell greeting as we left, despite us not complaining ... I didnt want to upset my 2 guests as I had invited them. Sufficient to say, I wont be going back as Stamford has nicer places with better food at a comparable price.

Went here for Mother's day with my wife's parents. We arrived first and were shown to the table. Because the in-laws were running late, they looked at the online menu and ordered what they wanted. When the food arrived, the mother's in-laws salad had cheese on it, which she can't eat. The meal was swapped out with the same thing minus the cheese at no extra cost even after we said it was our fault, they even gave us a free refill of drinks. Customer service was one of the best experiences

We have been coming here for a long time and I've noticed the last few visits that things have just started to go downhill rapidly. The service has become diabolical. 5:00 p.m. extremely quiet plenty of staff we must have sat there for 15 minutes at least before anybody came over at all. Nobody else is if we wanted a drink some water was brought to the table. Just went straight to ordering food because nobody asked as if we actually wanted a drink and the manager said did we want some olives. Sure. 25 minutes later when no olives had turned up and still nobody had bothered to offer other drink I cancelled the olives and said where's the actual food? 20 seconds later the food appeared dried out because it obviously been stood there for some time as the staff are all too busy talking to each other to bother to serve the customers anymore. Dried out burgers are not tasty. Anyway this place needs a new management team quickly it used to be amazing and we've been going for well over five years. Is totally lost its spark in atmosphere and the staff have become extremely well trained at customer eye contact avoidance. Stamford is a vibram place and there are plenty of other options available

The Cosy Club is a beautiful venue with a great atmosphere. The staff are lovely and service was 100% as good as you could expect.

Thursday 28th March 2024 lunch. Mixed feelings. We usually enjoy the food here and the atmosphere but we were very disappointed by the Sesame Salmon. It was dry and shoddily presented for the price...£18.

We have just returned home from a weekend in Stamford. We ate breakfast here twice and dinner one evening. The food and service was exemplary! The quality of the food was incredible and the Seabass was the best I have ever had. Our waitress Aimee on the first evening was perfect! Very attentive and because of the food and service we returned the following morning to have breakfast where we were looked after by Szandra. What a lovely human? We enjoyed chatting to her and once again the service was incredible. So good that on the morning of our final day we decided to return once more for breakfast. I highly recommend the food here.

I’ve waited a while to post this review as I feel I’m being a bit harsh on some of the food. Overall the experience was really good, the staff were great and everything went smoothly. Buttermilk chicken was more of a breaded chicken escalope. It was perfectly nice, but not really what was expected. The rest of the meals were all nice - overall we were happy.

Really great food, great selection inckud8ng for vegetarians and vegans and all very tasty! Service is good occasionally a little slow, but very friendly and polite. The atmosphere is nice but it is very open plan and loud, some booths would be nice.

OMG, so glad I have finally been to a cosy club for the first time. And what a way to start of the newly found chain for me. The decor is just amazing, the cocktails are lush and to top it all, our dogs were allowed in the bar area. Service was great too. Looking forward to going to the one near us (Norwich) now, but also looking forward to returning to this one when we return to Stamford

It was an absolutely amazing experience, I mentioned to our waiter it was my birthday, I got a birthday Prosseco and a candle on my dessert. The starters were amazing. Been to the Cosy Club in Leicester many times and have always been a fan. This was our first experience of the Stamford one and it did not disappoint. Just love the vibrant atmosphere of these places. Great interior design, nice clientelle, good service, good food and for us, we were with good company. Great evening had and would definitely return, and probably shall.

Came here for the first time, me and my fiancé have just bought a house and wanted to scout out some places to take our families when they visit. Gave me the same vibe from a restaurant at home so really loved it. The place was heaving but the bar was separate from the eating part so you didn’t have people clambering past while you were enjoying food. Would really recommend, 10/10

Took 5 grandchildren in for ice cream and 3 adults for coffee.... above £30!!! It was lovely to sit down and rest after a 4 mile hike, but terribly expensive for 3 x 2 scoops and 2 x 1 scoop!

I go in here when I’m in town, which is less frequent nowadays and it’s usually pretty good. However today I was sold and served a coffee without a word being uttered by the server, which is as impressive as it is poor. The coincidence is we walked by another place and considered going in but decided to stick to what we know. So on balance I recommend the cosy club in Stamford but I do think today’s visit was odd to say the least.

Very disappointing visit today after some previously good trips here. Used to be one of our favourite places to eat but we will skip in future and head to the many other lovely eateries in beautiful Stamford. The garden brunch was underwhelming with burnt rosti in tiny square cubes and 3 tiny cherry tomatoes with an ice cream scoop size of what they called crushed avocados and minted peas. A few beans in a very small ramekin and 1 small egg made it feel paltry. The duck confit at a costly for what it was 17.95 was really poor value coming with a few butter beans and tomatoey sauce with chorizo but didn’t come with anything else. I had to order some bread to make it a meal of any substance at an extra 4.45 and expected more for the price. The club sandwiches with chicken were loaded with mayo that left a cloying taste that wasn’t the best experience. Whilst we appreciate food and labour costs have risen hugely it feels compared to their previous menus that the food quality and volume has been scrimped. A chilly day outside - if it is when you visit wear something warm as it was cold inside. The bathrooms are looking tired and need a lick of paint and a clean - especially in the ladies round the sinks and hand drier. Won’t be rushing back which is a shame.
