The best restaurants in North East Derbyshire East Midlands

Great experience, I was visiting the Peak District for a month, with my grandson, we had lunch at the Red Lion on our first day ,we were so impressed with the quality of the food and friendly service, we returned seven times, before we returned to Australia. Two of the staff were amazing and made our visits special, Chelsea and Kristina, we consider them as friends . Hopefully we can enjoy the amazing food and service next year.

The lady who runs this chippy most days short colourful hair is rude and doesn’t have the correct attitude towards certain customers for whatever reason, the foods gone down hill but the way she speaks to people tops it off for me and I will not be returning.

the new system they have to order is dreadful its so much easier to talk to somone and get your sandwich that way that is the whole point of subway and they have now taken it away

Have been going to the Miners arms for 20+ years and have never been disappointed with the food always good quality and the staff are very friendly. We both had the steak and mushroom pie today it was very tasty and the vegetables were delicious. Always have a good real ale on hand pump. The pudding's are very nice as well I had the plum crumble and my partner had the Guinness cake that was really good. Always busy need to in advance.

Worst chinese takeaway I've ever had by far . They ran out of rice right after I ordered this was 7.30 on a Saturday night so I changed it to noodles . When I got my order home (mushroom curry) there was about a half a cm of oil floating on top . The noodles were just that noodles no onion or beansprouts and were bland the curry was also bland all everything tasted of was cheap oil . I threw it away and definitely won't be going back .

Pizza is rushly made and disgusting the garic bread is like crusty toe nails and the cheese on the chips is hard and manky

Amazing food I always go. It’s always fresh food never complain about the time quick and fast and I usually get food poisoning from other takeaways and I’ve never ever got food poisoning from Venice.

We were so surprised when we walked into the Gate at Troway. It is like stepping back in time and so lovely! A traditional country pub that has not been turned into a Gastro pub - thank goodness. The landlord and his staff are lovely and welcoming and I would recommend giving this place a try. A bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit. As far as I know, they dont do meals.

Visited the hobby horse syston this evening 13th April at 6.15 pm had a lovely meal and had a excellent waitress called Sam she was very friendly and making sure we had everything we needed 10out 10 Sam thank you

Lovely atmosphere,great service, meals were tasty but portions were small. The costs were reasonable for food and drinks. Would definitely go again.

Not much from the outside, but a good feel inside with an old country pub vib. Very good selection of beers and wines with a good atmosphere. It was steak Thursday which was very reasonable and the the food was very good. This gets very busy, but you can’t book as one number link doesn’t go through and another link went to a Fish and Chip shops, who apparently get calls al, the time!

ordered from here last night after seeing so many good reviews about it as it's been hard to find a decent indian takeaway in the area, wish i'd not bothered now, been dreadfully ill with food poisoning since and still no better. won't be ordering from here again.

Not a nice Indian. Didn't get my order right. Rice was burnt. Forgot items. Worst of the worst.
