Gardener's Sushi Restaurant & Takeaway in North East Derbyshire

Ordered takeaway. NEVER AGAIN! Chicken Tikka starter was so dry...like it had been cooked hours previously and kept warm. Rogan Josh was more like a vindaloo! £4 for two tiny Samosas. Mushroom rice tasted like old oil. Missing poppadoms from order. The cheesy garlic naan was good though 😉 NOT worth almost £40! 😞

Curry like water , full of onions , chicken tika okay but full of onions , onion bhajis flat and burnt , rice stodgy , pompadoms okay , chucked curry away , nearly 50 pound for 2 of us takeaway , 🙈

Wow! Best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. We ordered the meal deal which is £14.99 for a starter,main & 2 sides. Worth every penny and more. The butter chicken was creamy and delicious with big chunks on chicken. Everything was cooked to perfection and delivered hot. Will definitely be ordering again soon. Thank you

Most expensive Indian takeout I’ve had,was expecting something full of flavour, unfortunately my expectations was not what I received,king prawn masala was very bland and extremely sweet, more like a korma the prawns where tasteless,cheese and garlic nan ordered,couldn’t find any cheese whatsoever and the garlic was none existent,really not one to be picky but when you pay that kind of money you would expect something special,if I could give zero ratings that’s what I would have done.

Wow this is a special place. A sushi place that only works with cooked fish. Not only that, the fish that they cook does not have any relation to what you order - so our salmon and tune make turned into cooked chicken and crabsticks. Couple this with the 2.5 hour wait and >£100 charge and this is right at the top of worst restaurants we've ever used, genuinely terrible

We have not eaten here but have had takeaway 7 or 8 times over the last 4 months. Excellent tasty food and such a friendly owner (Del) really nice guy who puts his heart and soul into what he does. I think some of the reviews on here are a bit unfair. We have not had one bad meal and it always arrives very hot even if it does sometimes come slightly late. Not drastically late but even so the quality of the food is well worth the wait. I totally recommend.

To have more than any 10 items on a menu, any menu is NOT fresh and not cooked on the same day and unfortunately you could taste it. It is not authentic food. Prices are very high especially when everyone is struggling.

Ordered a takeout curry & it did not disappoint. I had the chicken tikka punjab & it was delicious! Rice was cooked lovely. All round fab curry. Will return again!

This was the first time we used Gardeners Spicy restaurant. I must say from now on this will be our number 1 takeaway. I personally had Chicken Archari. I enjoy a spicy curry. This was spot on. The chicken was tender and was delicious, with a lovely thick sauce. Well worth a visit

Ordered for the first time on just eat and wasn't disappointed at all. in fact we will be ordering again this will be our new go to Indian takeaway. food was amazing with lots of flavour and plenty of it. it came nice and hot with a friendly delivery service. We 100% recommend you will not be disappointed and we will be telling everyone we know how good it was. well done 👏

The food in this place is really nice. The staff are really friendly. I can recommend it but the prices are a bit eyewatering.

Three of us visited last night. Basic table arrangements and very clean. Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Korma & Lamb Biriyani were ordered. Good portions. First two meals were well prepared and very good; the biriyani was dry, had too many cloves and the lamb was overcooked, but was not inedible. We ordered a side of Aloo that were very good. The staff tried hard and were friendly. Overall a satifactory evening. If you live in Clay Cross and like curry why not give it a go?

We ordered from the Sushi side, absolutely fantastic. Sushi Grade Salmon. Friendly service and some of the best food available in the chesterfield area. Please do not miss the opportunity to try such delicious food! Will for sure be ordering this regularly!

Just recently opened but was made very welcome. Food and service is lovely . There is another side of the restaurant where they serve Sushi only. They do takeaways and deliveries too. The only downside is the condition of the place . I have seen the brand new open kitchen. Fantastic but , like I have said it has just opened and they will in time refurb the place but don’t let it put you off as the food and service is great
