the new system they have to order is dreadful its so much easier to talk to somone and get your sandwich that way that is the whole point of subway and they have now taken it away

0 stars across the board. Did not even stop for the food. The ONE staff member working didn't speak two words to us, when we asked if we had to use the computers for ordering "yes" was the one word he said. You can no longer watch them making your sandwich because of these machines in the way, one of subways quotes for years had been "have your sandwich your way"... Abit hard when you can't watch it being made by staff who don't speak. The new computer ordering is cutting down on yet more jobs saving subway money and employing inexperienced feoutus staff to over see the shop alone to save on wages... We walked strait out, we won't be going back. When trying to find an email to complain to none seem to come up which is laughable. Infact it takes you to a crashed link... I see alot of subways shutting soon...

Never fail to disappoint! I had to wait 20 minutes for a jacket potato which I customised the order with no cheese and I have a serious intolerance to dairy, drove home (10 minutes) to find my order covered in Cheese, Walked in the shop and told the staff what went wrong and they still started the order wrong again chucking butter and cheese on it. Absolutely disgusting service, got a refund and walked out of the shop

What can I say waited probably 20 minutes ive seen more pace out of a snail and in that time think I counted 3 wrong orders

The food itself was faultless, however took an hour and a half to arrive after initial order.

delivery took 1hour 20mins. photo fries freezing cold. my daughter sandwich had onion and crispy onions on which she is allergic too. never asked for onions on the sandwich. so she could eat it

delivery was not complete! says delivered but has not been and driver has just dissapearred

Popped in today with my partner and figured I'd try the new taco beef jacket potato and taco beef nachos, whilst my partner had a foot long sub. At first then staff seemed friendly, however as the service went on that quickly changed. Once the order had been placed they didn't seem to want anything to do with us. The food service was also poor, they spent several minutes picking the paper off my partner's sub in front of us, whilst not even interacting with us at all. They also gave me plain cheese nachos, not the taco ones that I ordered. On top of this, one staff member aggressively threw a sub away after being told by the customer that they'd misheard what they had ordered. Never coming back here and I'd strongly advise other avoid also. Worst Subway experience we've ever had.

I've ordered for delivery over 2 hours ago and it's still not here also rang 6 times and nobody is answering. Never ordering from there again. Ridiculous

Just ordered from uber eats. The meatballs were inedible and clearly 2-3 days old with no cheese as requested. The bread was so old and dry it crumbled as you bit into it. This is unacceptable for the amount charged. Hugely dissatisfying

Never knew there was a Subway at Clay Cross until my daughter fancied one today and I had to Google the nearest site. Very clean premises , super friendly staff and a foot long that looked super tasty. Well my daughter polished it off so must have been 👍👍

Update since last one on January 2024: Local sub store; located in the centre area for comershall business. Hospitality 4/5 Friendly a helpfull. Worker 'Kirsty' is my favourite server. Note: anaylising others' reviews and watching their teamwork - somtimes they are slower than the usual branches. - Food: 4.5/5 My preferred subway meals were excellent today; good helping on snack toppings. 🏅 (Note that if you compare to like subways in 'chesterfield', you'll find the sub slices smaller here. 😅 side story - last time I had a hot choc they took careful care with my hot chocolate requests. 👍 Layout 5/5 Despite location a assumptions. Would be nice to have had a multi-choice refill drink machine people love. (Happy ther's now a basic one). 😄 Also, the general layout suits the limited space this branch had to work with; (+ their bathroom is of very high modern standard) 🚻 Notes to leave on: The x-mas trees were my humar when at 1st thers was one disply before, an after.😜 Seeing the lower reviews here - good to see opinions bout the place are improving since last one. 🏆

Great little store, staff are very friendly, every time I go in I always leave happy. Not shy with the toppings, unlike most subways, mine, I always have everything on it, and looks tough to wrap, but no issue for these guys. We'll done and keep up the great work. Also shannon is a credit to you're store. Happy chatty girl. Always makes my day. Thank you 😊

I can not recommend subway in claycross enough ! All staff are friendly and always will have a laugh with you , very clean and food is on top !

100% recommend clay cross subway! Me, my partner and my kids love visiting here. The staff members are brilliant with all of us and extra points how brilliant they are with my two kids! Place is always clean and the staff always looks happy and content. We have come quite regulars at subway in clay cross! About time clay cross got a subway

No issues with delivery 👍 unfortunately items missing, items cold/not cooked properly and included items you would not have expected.

Ordered via the app to collect 3 hours before I wanted to collect and my order hadn’t even been started when I arrived. Had to wait 10mins , not great when you only get 30 mins lunch. Toppings on salad get smaller each visit and salad box was at least 50% lettuce. Positives were the cleanliness of the shop and the girl who served me was lovely

always charged me more than I’m suppose to pay, lady that serves me never has a smile on her face she shouldn’t be there in my opinion the best person there I feel is Sal he likes his job and does pride with it charged me over £6 as well for 12 cookies

Not good value for money they put the bare minimum veg on the subs I mean mine had littlerly 10 pieces of lettuce and 3 pieces of onion if I want a salad sandwich in the future I will go to a sandwich shop near by

Food was nice but cold, order was missing two bottles of cherry Pepsi and a bag of cheese and onion crisps and also sent a normal chocolate chip cookie instead of a double chocolate chip cookie, rang to try resolve the missing things and instead of sending what was missing back out they just said I have to try and sort it though just eat so looks like instead of getting what I ordered all I’ll get is a refund for the missing items which will probably take days, all in all not satisfied.

Order arrived late and was incorrect

Completely unprepared. Took longer than needed to make my sub and even then it was a poor effort.

Order was soggy. 2/3 salad that was ordered wasn’t in the sub. Asked no for sauce and got sauce that was horrible. Also asked for the wrap to be toasted which is wasn’t. Not the best experience

Yes they’re still learning the job at a new shop , but this is the slowest service, most useless and unhelpful staff in a Subway that make the worst sandwiches and salads! 🤬🤢👎👎 ignore the good reviews that are obviously by friends and family!

Really long queue , staff who served tried telling my friend she couldn’t have certain salad on her subs because it had been “toasted” like what? Put a fully wrapped sub IN the grill , she also witnessed a staff member DROP a full sub and rather than make a new sub he picked it up and handed it to the customer ! Now I appreciate this is a new store and things take time but , improvements already need to be made . I hope it does improve as it’s a welcome addition to clay cross . Friendly staff but need more support imo.
