Wonderful Chinese Takeaway in North East Derbyshire

Bland/flavourless noodles and egg fried rice. Only good thing was the beef and chicken. Prawn still had vein on the back. UPDATE 2024 Tried this location again as my local Chinese is temporarily closed, food was bland and tasteless. Prawns were rubbery. Had to add sauce to this which I have never had to do before with Chinese. Would not recommend. The best and tastiest thing was the fortune cookie.

Food was tasteless and the king prawns are not fresh and like rubber the only nice thing is the fortune cookies do not order from here it’s flavourless and bland and nothing is fresh

First time from here 22 June. chicken curry egg fried rice chips we also got free prawn crackers.delicious food and delivered in the hour which was perfect for us. very generous portions we have found our Chinese from now on and good on price. a very satisfied customer. thanks Andy and sue in dronfield.

Beautiful hot freshly cooked food. We ordered in the shop with a lovely friendly woman who made our food fresh in front of us in around 5-10 mins. We had loads of tasty chicken and vegetables in our dishes. Would definitely recommend

Never again, threw up, everyone’s meal was all vinegary and it was absolutely horrible never ordering from their again 😡😠

Tasteless, not impressed at all. Could have cooked it better myself. Really greasey prawn toast, they had no seaweed? Frozen prawns used in special fry and not much other meat. Bland, green looking chow mean.

It is marvelous and we have visited there for serval times. All dishes are prepared on the spot and steaming hot. The taste is very good and balanced, and there are many choices of sauces. We have ordered Sesame Prawn Toast, Hot &Sour Soup, Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup, Kung Po King Prawn, Foo Yung King Prawn, Sea Spicy Sauce Beef, Spicy Szechuan Beef and Tofu, Shrimp Fried Rice Wonderful Special Crispy Noodles. All of these are delicious. My favorite dish is crispy noodles. We will definitely order their tasty Chinese dishes in the future.

We had chicken in black bean ...absolutely no taste of black bean ..the sauce was see through not dark .. no taste.. it tasted like the special fried rice in sauce which again no flavour. Not as good as it used to be

My favourite takeaway in Dronfield. Been going for over 10 years now! The food is always amazing (my personal favourite is Cantonese chicken) and the owner and staff are so friendly, remembering personal details and making you feel valued. The menu has loads of options, and they’re accommodating to changes if needed. Best Chinese takeaway in Dronfield!

Absolutely delicious. All was fresh, not too greasy, veg still had crunch, flavour of the sauce was beautiful and balanced. All delivered by a lovely lady and the food was piping hot still!. I could not have been happier. Well done. You very much have a new customer. I look forward to ordering next time with zero hesitation! Never had a bad meal from this place, always delivered on time, hot, tasty and can’t fault it one bit

Since Wonderful Chinese opened its been my go to takeaway! The Cantonese chicken is my favourite, so sweet and tasty and the chicken is always cooked so well. Never once have we had bad food and on the one occasion that they got one meal wrong, they were quick to fix it for us over the phone. The staff are so amazing and lovely, I believe it’s family run. For as long as I’m living nearby, this will always be my go to for a takeaway!

amazing food!! we don't go anywhere else for our Chinese takeaway!! great prices, delicious food, quickly prepared and so friendly and kind! always give our kids some sweets or something extra in the bag !!! been coming here for our takeaway for years and even though we are moving away we will be back when visiting family!!

Having read some good reports we tried to order a takeaway for delivery.We live 2.5 miles away and were told we were too far and they would not deliver, pity as we were ordering for six! And are new to area so could have been regulars!

Really really bland food. Had the chicken chow mein and it didn't actually taste of anything. Also it was literally just chicken and noodles - no veg or anything else. Also they forgot the prawn crackers we'd ordered, even though, with how much food we'd ordered, they should have been free anyway. Wouldn't order from here again.

We visited here after the hygiene rating from simply Chinese dropped to a 2. We ordered a variety of food but it was generally poorly cooked. The chicken wings, prawns and sweet and sour all came in stodgy thick batter that was unpleasant. The chips were soggy and the sauce for the crispy beef tasted like the sweet and sour. Will be asking wok wonder to do tofu and return there in future.

We frequently use Wonderful Chinese as it is excellent. Friendly staff, reasonably priced and excellent quality food. Chicken in yellow bean sauce is to die for!

Enjoyable food and not to greasy, quick service and friendly enough. We had a large order due to staying at friends so had to wait a little longer than normal they said which is fine and understandable. The parking was easy due to the large car park outside when we picked up our food.

The food I had from there is worst Chinese I have ever tasted so bland no flavour and I did not even get the correct food I ordered.How they get the rating they have i don't know all I can say is these people have never tried a good Chinese and need to venture further will not be going back.
