Worst chinese I have ever eaten. Food tasted gone off and disgusting

I was so angry and disappointed in my food. When I called due to it being late, the staff were rude and once my food arrived, it was freezing cold. My special fried rice was so dry and the meat was almost cremated. Never again!!!

Everything was great. Huge amount of salt and pepper chips, fresh and hot dishes. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the portions for the price. Great chinese takeaway!

Ordered and paid for 1.5l bottle (£3.50) but received 1 can (£1.00)

Roast duck fried rice - there was more fatty skin than actual meat in the rice. Crispy seaweed - not too crispy and far too salty. Chips - rubbish. Crispy beef in plum sauce - plum sauce tasted ok but beef not crispy more doughy. Sweet and sour chicken - large portion but lacking something and the sauce was just too sweet and gloopy. Sorry but we wouldn’t order again.

Outstanding service. I messed up and typed in the incorrect address and had left my phone on silent. They came back out to redeliver. Was extremely greatful as it was completely my fault. Food was good too

So we ordered a pizza and added “fresh tomatoes” as a £1.80 extra and we got 2 cheery tomatoes(ata push) split between the whole pizza! Delivery was also late due to driver not being able to find our address (not a hard one) we had to give direction over the phone as he was about 5 min away from us. Not much of an apology either

Love the food from here. Arrived piping hot, big portion of rice and always cooked well and tasty. Deliver driver is also friendly and has no issues finding us even though we’re in an awkward spot

Thought we'd give this a try as never been before. Chicken Nuggets - way overcooked with an odd taste and the sweet and sour dip it came with was way too thick and bland, and had almost set solid. Chicken Chow Mein, sloppy noodles, not much taste and mainly brown meat. My son couldn't eat it. Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup - very bland, chicken slimey with an odd taste. Crispy chicken in plum sauce was ok, lots of good quality chicken but the sauce lacked flavour. Chips excellent. Rice ok.

Very disappointed. This was the first time ordering from the Chinese Dragon. We ordered on a Monday as our usual place was shut. Nothing was cooked fresh. Everything tasted like it was re heated leftover from the weekend in the microwave and re packed. It was so hot it was boiling and all the food was soft and old and congealed and over salted. Absolutely disgusting and will never come back.

Got to be the worst food I’ve had in my life! The salt and pepper chip was so dry to the point no potatoes was left in the chip btw they was fries not chips..also very stale! The satay sauce was thick and slimy a very unpleasant texture and taste. The rice was just a lump of brown sticky mush!!! Avoid this place! Do NOT recommend!!!

Sorry not for me. The biggest disappointment was that they sent French fries instead of chips 😭 The rice and noodles were very mushy and stuck together. Curry sauce was the best bit

I think it's changed hands. The portions are smaller for a start. The special chowmein used to be in a large foil tray, now it's in a small plastic box. The chips are no longer chips! Thyey're more like mcdonalds fries only thinner - not very good at all. Definitely gone down hill!

As always, brilliant food and good sized portions. I especially love the spare ribs in Cantonese sauce and crispy duck in plum sauce and I order them almost every time. Would fully recommend, 10/10!

So I ordered and I got my food within 20 minutes, and once it arrived I noticed my beef chow mein was missing so I rang up the restaurant to tell them so I could ultimately get the chow mein I paid for. Not only did she accuse me of lying she was extremely rude and hung up on me. The sweet and sour sauce was extremely watery, prawn crackers was stale and the sweet and sour chicken balls was dry. All I wanted was my chow mein. Do not go to this Chinese if you want nice food and customer service

I ordered food and was missing my chow mein I rang the restaurant so they could correct there mistake but was accused of lying and they hung up on me. Not only this but the quality of food was poor, the sweet and sour sauce was watery and the prawn crackers was stale. I won’t be ordering from here again and neither should you unless you want to waste your money

I came home from work, ready to eat my own leg, but I opted to order from Chinese Dragon instead. The estimated delivery time was 23.20-23.40, but actually arrived at 22.50. I honestly could not have been happier. The portion size was great, I did get honeydew melon instead of the watermelon I ordered but I like both types, so no biggie. I will carry on ordering from Chinese Dragon because their food is lovely - I'll have to save my prawn crackers until tomorrow, though as I can't fit them in! 😂 10/10, would DEFINITELY recommend!

Food has always been amazing here and after receiving this order it shows it still is. The food was all really hot still when it came. Everything was in the bag, nothing was missing.The food tasted fresh and great and the spring rolls were absolutely delicious. We were even given one extra sweet & sour sauce pot & a pot of gravy which was really tasty.The rice was a little bit soggy compared to how it usually has been, and I would recommend putting the drink in a separate bag as it arrived warm.

Arrived 20 mins early despite specifically requesting a time to allow for everyone to be home and ready for meal. luke warm and soggy chips were inedible. Rice seemed old, main meals were cold and gloopy. this is the worst take away I've had in years. save your money- eat elsewhere.

I have never ordered from here before and unfortunately won’t again. Spring rolls are just full of bamboo shoots and the noodles are nothing but noodles and I ordered mixed meat. Really disappointed since I paid £20+ just for 1 person. The food also has a burnt taste that I can’t get rid of!

The food was awful. I will never order from here again. The chicken in both the rice and the soup we ordered was obviously cheap poor quality. Even the chips ( which are actually fries) had a horrid taste

I normally order from here and it’s okay, nothing mind blowing. But today I ordered a King Prawn Thai Red Curry and received a Chop Suey instead. I rang the restaurant and the chef tried to convince me it was thai red curry and it definitely wasn’t. It was so bland and honestly didn’t taste nice at all. The staff were also really rude to me on the phone. It’s a shame because I’ve been there before and even collected orders and the staff were always lovely to me.

Absolutely disgusting. I would give 0 stars if I could. Do NOT order from here. I had spring rolls that were black and burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside, crispy chilli beef that tasted like pure buttery oil, I couldn’t taste or see any beef at all it was just fried batter. It was genuinely inedible. I also left specific instructions for the delivery on finding my property, but my order was left at the wrong house outside on their doorstep. Rice was congealed and didn’t taste great. Beef was anything but tender beef it was described as. The sauce tasted ok. The starter box was good apart from the seaweed.

If I could give zero rating I would I didn’t take photos but I so wish I did, look at ratings after why I didn’t before I will never know!! The chicken is so dry and like rubber we order £30 worth and not one bit was nice the rice was so dry not even fresh like defrosted and re heated rubbish, the prawn crackers was like rubber no crunch same again could tell they was old, satay squewers like rubber and the curry sauce was vile! Never again

Excellent food! Best ribs I've ever had from anywhere, I think - so much meat on them that if it hadn't been for the bones I wouldn't have thought they were ribs. And thank you for having a choice in rice portion size. Not everywhere does that and it's a simple thing to do. The duck in plum sauce was lovely too. Was that a layer of kimchi underneath? Whatever it was, it is a great idea as it adds some more flavour and texture to the dish. It mightn't be to everyone's taste but I absolutely loved it!

Food was mild due to how it came delivered. The ribs asked for was BBQ sauce, this was a very weak watery sauce. Most other places give a free item when spending a large amount but not here. Other than that the Mrs and kids enjoyed it

Chicken balls was very chewy like tough meat. Prawn crackers was soft too, wouldn’t order again from here.

Food was due to be delivered between 7:25pm and 7:45pm but it’s still not here. Text the restaurant for an update, heard nothing so called to be told there’s nothing they can do it’s been delivered, driver won’t be back for 20 minutes and he’s said it’s been delivered so that’s all. Very unhappy, will not be ordering again

Really disappointed! Ordered previously and really enjoyed it however the food tonight ended up in the bin! Every dish especially the chips and the ribs were stale & the curry sauce just tasted like pure pepper. Won’t be wasting my money in future.

Order arrived a earlier then I thought it would and was boiling hot. Rice was very good, big portion size which I like and curry sauce from here is amazing.

Had to call shop and ask about food however staff on phone were nice, new driver was confused on how to get to us so we got a new order cooked and out quick. Food arrived hot and fresh, very good

A joke to say the least! Never had a problem with this place until today! Negligence at its best to say to the customer your chef realised their mistake but not even a courtesy to try and rectify it. The rudeness was pathetic to say the least!! The excuse your too far away to redo the order and deliver a joke! That's why you get your delivery charge! You make a mistake that's your problem to rectify. To then turn around and say you won't accept our orders again is a joke cause after the way you were speaking on the phone I'd rather speak to a prisoner than you lot!

Odear !!ordered a couple of chicken dishes that really didn’t look or taste like chicken it was wet bland and a chow mein that smelt grim

The starters were nice the spare ribs ok but the mushroom chow mien and the beef and tomatoes were not, the noodles had a lump of thick MSG in and they were overcooked, the beef was very low quality processed meat.

Driver was in completely different area (Staveley) so pushed delivery time back. Food was cold when it got here. My Ribs with syrup had no syrup it was all over every other item of food. Absolute mess this from start to finish

First time using this place, as my normal place was closed this day. Salt and paper chips were nice, as were the crispy chicken, however the cow main wasn’t for me. I know flavours differ from place to place, but I found it bland. Seeing as chow main is a staple for me when I order Chinese, I won’t be using it again. Delivery driver was pleasant too.

I don’t know what to say?? Overcooked springs to mind, soft sloppy mush. £4 delivery fee and it was late, exactly the same amount of discount V spends. Stranger that isn’t it!! It’s the quality of food in all honesty there’s just no quality gone into this. If you can’t give good service and value for money then please don’t send out mushy rubbish, customers will go elsewhere like me. I don’t mind paying good money for good food and good service , I didn’t get any of that!

Honestly, if I could give 0 stars I would. The food was absolutely horrendous and not edible, chicken had been cooked and re-cooked it was so dry you could literally snap in half, food was completely tasteless just tasted of grease, everything cold and enough to make someone ill. Called the takeaway to reach a resolution and no staff were prepared to listen, defensive from the start, rude talking over me and refusing to listen, also laughing whilst I was talking. Refused to reach a resolution and suggested we waste police time by asking them to sort? Really! Hung up on us on more than one occassion, said they didn't mind losing a customer like us and that we had paid £35 for the experience. Honestly, take my advice and boycott this place, I don't know how these people can run a business with shocking food and even worse customer service. To make matters worse this is the first time we hsd ordered from here, what a fantastic way to treat customers and build a reputation. All authorities need to get out to this place ASAP before someone ends up seriously ill!!

Restaurant won’t answer the phone to take our complaint. *Update* They finally answered the phone , they hung up the phone the first time. We called back , now the woman on the other end of the phone just wants to shout at us. Not listening or communicating with us. No resolution given or even attempted. Environmental health need to attend this establishment. ASAP. I work in the same industry and the customer service is horrendous. All they have done is pass from one to another and then say the £35 we have paid isn’t for the food, we have paid for the ‘experience’ that’s what he said.. I’m sorry .. what?? Then telling us to ‘ring the police’ I’m sorry but they have much better things to do with their time than sort out issues with a Chinese.

Prawn crackers tasteless chips were cold stale and had been re cooked gravy like water rice dry pancake roll tasteless overall not good

After the delivery driver phoning me 9 times to tell me he couldn't find the adress after giving him details instructions as we live on a main road, wasn't the brightest spark the order was cold and his attitude and maners was shocking. In the end had to walk and meet him as he was incompetent won't order again.
