The best restaurants in Arboretum Derby East Midlands

I’ve been coming to the chai wala branch for about 3 years now lovely staff and their cinnamon tea is lovely ,Raja is an asset to the team !!

We visited this great restaurant for a late lunch. The staff were friendly and took time to explain the dishes to us. The food was the best bit. I had the butterfly chicken breast which consisted of two large tasty chicken breasts unlike Nandos. The food was flavorsome and not dry at all. Big complements to the chef

I ordered for the kids today 24th November 24 at 17:30 the pizza and chips arrive at 18.40 they just sent a margarita whilst we other chicken tikka then rang them and they said they want the old pizza back and they sent the correct pizza after multiple calls at 19.40 absolutely horrendous service and the person answering the phones was rude. The delivery driver said it was the owner himself mooda (farooq) who made it wrong surely should have sent fresh chips as well and taken these ones back as they went soggy by the time the right pizza came

Security staff didn't let me take my jacket back which I left.

I ordered last night, got chocolate cake which was dry and horrible, I actually ordered the caramel pecan cheesecake, how on earth do you get the order wrong, don't order from them

I made a mistake on the address but communication was key 5 star for him he was brilliant as iv just had an operation and couldn’t do anything he was our night in shining armour well done just eat top man

The food was really spicey I asked for hot and it was like extreme not really good my wifey didn’t even eat cause she’s not aloud to eat soocey

it was quite bad cold hard chips cold done and came 1 hour early not ordering from here again

Ordered via Uber, they couldn't make my burger, phoned me and asked if I would like substitution, I asked them to cancel the order, and they said they couldn't, I then got calls from 2 separate delivery drivers asking me to take the financial hit and cancel because the restaurant asked them to call me and pressure him into it. After 20mins of no news, they finally managed to cancel the order themselves, leaving me without food.

Breakfast and pints were spot on, quick friendly service, decor was nice and tables were clean. Nicer than your average wetherspoons.

First time we’ve been there, NEVER AGAIN. My husband ordered the steak rare when it arrived it was well done so called the staff and told them and they took it away and said they would tell the chef and get us another one. We waited for 15 mins by this time I had eaten my meal so we called the one of the staff over again and they said they would speak with the chef again, within a minute we had the owner standing over my husband being very aggressive saying that we are the type of people that would complain about anything so we immediately asked for the bill without the charge of the steak on it, he said good he wanted us you to leave so we paid the bill and left. The owner is digesting and aggressive and shouldn’t be working with the public as he’s a liability.

Tried this place a few times, most recently in Dec 2024. This place is great value for money as the portions are large. Mango lassi was nice. Starters and mains are ok. Parking is an issue, but this is a good size restaurant suitable for families. Fish curry was nice.
