Good place, good food, okay atmosphere.

One of my all time favourite pubs in the whole country, I very much enjoy travelling up from London to pop in for a few jars and have even contemplated moving to Derby so I can do it more often. A phenomenally well-run pub suited to real ale drinkers, with an ever changing selection of well chosen beer. The atmosphere in this place can be quite something to behold. I hope the younger generations cotton on and realise it's more fun having a natter out here than indoors behind a phone screen! Here's to many more years at the Smithfield and I hope to see you again soon.

we booked a table on a monday afternoon at 14.00urs. The menu was well priced and good value for money , the mixed grill i had was fantastic .well cooked with plenty of meat and chips . the staff where very friendly and polite,but a bit short on the ground (which is way i did not give you full marks ) i would recommend this pub to everyone....

I was ACCUSED OF STEALING THE DELIVERY MAN'S MOBILE PHONE. HE SAYS HE PUT HIS MOBILE ONTOP OF MY PIZZA BOX. NICE TRY DELIVERY GUY. TO A LOCAL LOYAL REGULAR CUSTOMER. NO COMPENSATION GIVEN. TRULY THIS IS TRUE . IT HAPPENED WEDNESDAY MIDNIGHT EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. HE DROVE OFF ONCE HE NEW HE WAS WRONG.. WISH MY PIZZA CAME AS FAST AS THE DRIVER ESCAPED.LOL.

Absolutely terrible Ordereed £50+ worth of food. Was 45 mins late then had the cheek to ring and say that there was a road closed so had 2 choices ... Come and collect or order canceled (no re.fund) Had to battle through Uber eats to get my refund.... Disgrace of a food establishment

Karam greeted us warmly and was so lovely to us throughout our visit. He was very funny but also cared that we were satisfied with our experience - a very genuine person. The strawberry and chocolate crepe was so yummy, great value for money and came so quick after we ordered. Definitely recommend this place, I will be coming back - thank you guys for a great experience! :)

Had a great few hours in the Dolphin. Really nice historic and authentic pub. Nice beers and good service. Nice atmosphere

Had another great night at the Wonky Table last night. Food was fabulous. Staff are amazing. We are so sad our favorite restaurant is closing. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Ordered though Uber eats 4 items missing off the order and food that did arrive looked like it had been sat on terrible service and with no contact number it’s difficult to get in touch

Lovely restaurant in Stuart Hotel. Food is very nice indeed. Of particular positivity was Katie (restaurant staff member) who went above & beyond to enable specific meal requirements and was outstanding in service & manner. Other staff were all so helpful, friendly, and assisting. Outside hotel is basic, not pretty, but the service and standards indoors make up for this in every way. Can't fault how we were looked after, and the onsite restaurant is a real asset, as was the staff member who looked after us so well. Went today 6th Oc 24’ - Sunday afternoon with 2 friends. Service was very very slow, drinks took ages, food took ages - wouldn’t mind but it wasn’t even busy. When my chicken burger came it was warm-ish - maybe because it had been on the side for ages. It was there when our starters came out 🙄 my two friends had burgers but they said theirs were okay - hot!! People were walking out. The toilets are disgusting, they don’t work, taps are dirty (limescale). The general cleanliness of the place is not good. It was cold in there too. Dread to think what the service would be like if they were actually busy. I will not be in any hurry to go back there!!
