I went to this place twice before every thing was good on point today around 11: 45 I placed worder for take away it was half kg of lamb karhai it’s full bones and the meat is just to small and little but still good taste

Tasty food. Authentic Pakistani taste. Prices are reasonable. Lamb chops and seekh kebabs are good. But both chicken and lamb karahis are on the top of the list.

This food here is so delicious, yummy and just inspiring. No other place in The normanton area can come close to the taste of Shabirs special karahi. It’s one of a kind. I would recommend to curry lovers and like me karahi lovers too 🥰 also very good customers service. Go and try

The experience and food quality at this outlet has improved significantly from any previous reviews. The food here is absolutely brilliant! I enjoyed a very tasty traditional meal. Really need to check these boys out if you're into traditional desi curries! A gem in Derby!

Very expensive food nd not a testy😡£6

Following a particularly unappetising meal at a work conference, I opted to call an old buddy of mine to find some proper food. This place is grimy, old fashioned with no thrills. But the food was exquisite. The Tawa really hit the spot. The lamb karahi was something I could not stop eating, and whilst this isn't the kind of place you go to for a 5 star service, it's the kind of place you visit to eat good homely food. The amount of food we received for a £27.99 Tawa for Two was impressive. Thanks iKas!

1st time i have used them and wouldn't use again. Missing items from my order as in the fish and the chips.All the meat comes in one box and to be honest I couldn't tell what was what. As you can see on the picture there was some kind of actually I don't know what it was. The 1 star is for the curry.

Ordered from uber eats. Wasnt delivery drivers fault. But the owners because half our order was missing. Rang them back to complain and the service was appauling. Not happy and definitely wont be ordering from them again.

Ordered food at 5.15pm and food was not delivered even by 7.20pm. Terrible service. Not the employees fault but just the owners fault. Avoid this place at all costs unless you're collecting.

This place is one of the oldest and original kebab houses in Normanton. The kebabs are excellent and so are the desi style curries along with an extensive menu of grilled food. It has been a while and I have started to come back for their excellent Tarka daal dish, probably the best i have had in a long time. There is plenty of seating space inside. Eat in or takeaway.

I ordered a Lamb Karachi, seekh kebab and roti once from here and it messed my stomach up so badly I couldn't stop going toilet for 3 whole days! Unhygienic, unprofessional staff, got a lad in there who thinks he's a gangster and starts talking to everyone about his personal life while you're trying to eat. I would definitely not go back to this place again!

Ordered the Tawa for 2 set meal. Tandoori meats were ok but nan and roti breads were missing. The Chicken curry was not Chicken but was a pool of grease with large chucks of bone in it and something that looked like dog food, absolutely disgusting, never seen anything like it. The rice was various bits of grease and sauce in it, looked like it had been put in the box with a dirty spoon. So had to throw the curry and rice. Got a refund from Uber Eats.

Would have given a negative rating if there was an option. Absolutely pathetic restaurant, kept me waiting for an insane 1 hour 30 minutes for a biriyani and provided flimsy lies about the delivery driver going to deliver the order soon. Refrain from ordering a delivery if you're going to be hungry, these guys are terrible.

First time trying this place and I have to say I can not recommend! Firstly the food was delayed and arrived late which wouldn’t of been a problem - if it was cooked! We ordered the platter for 4 which upon arrival looked anything but appetising upon further inspection we found that pieces of shish were RAW throughout the middle… I wish I could end it here however see images below of the dangerous piece of metal we found hidden in the shish. Thankfully the restaurant did the decent thing and provided a refund.

I use to think the currys from here were great. I called last night for a mild lamb balti (as I have a bit of a chilli allergy) with pillua rice. The Curry was a tandoori. lamb was more bone and the rice was sogy and soft. I won't be ordering anything from there again 😒

Amazing fresh food and friendly staff

Opens at evening and you will get food till 4am that's really good. If your taste buds want 🌶 tell them to make it other wise it will be sweet. Quantity is not worth for cost. Taste is medium

Poor quality need hygiene cleaning overpriced I wouldn't recommend

Just had Special Karahi got 4 roti with it, there is plenty for 2 people it was exellent full flavour, the wife had a Chana curry and she loved it, will definitely be back.

Good food. Their most popular dish is Kadhai Chicken and they need approx 30 mins to prepare and it takes a lot more time of there is rush. The owner is very friendly and offers great advice on your order. They are moderately priced. They do not deliver, no uber eats.

Vegetarian don't go there, and I don't comment on nonveg. They don't know difference of vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Ordered some veg samosa and non veg starter (friend ordered) both were served in same plates. The way they prepare it's not hygienic. Prices are too high...

Best pace for traditional curries

Good food with a good atmosphere. Staff are friendly. Good location. You can park on the side roads and walk a little to the shop. It's not much of a problem as the shop doesnt have any space for parking. It's reasonable priced.

Delicious lamb karahi and quality food....

No doubt Shabir Tandoori is best for kababs in derby. There is no one else that makes doner & tikka like these guys. Strongly recommend if you fancy a kabab.

Amazing kebabs, curry and donner. Amazingly good value food, I have been a loyal customer for well over two years. They have a large menu so you'll definitely be spoiled for choice. If you make a reservation, you can sit and eat at the restaurant itself. Quick service, usually busy on fridays.

Had a late night craving for biryani, tandoori and chicken kadhai. The taste reminded me of the food that i get back at home in india. The guy who got our order, sorry forgot his name, was very jovial and patient with our confusion of what to order. The wait was quite some time, but given they prepare their food fresh it's hardly a deal breaker. When the food came out it was amazing. The chicken curry was superb and was finished in no time. The biryani though not very authentic, as in dum biryani, was very tasty and made the foodie in me very happy. Best part I felt was they didn't add any baking soda to the food, as is the case with many food joints, that will make go here again and again.

Best food in Derby. At a great price.

A little restaurant in the now run down area of derby. When we parked up I thought I was in east Europe! Did not feel safe. Good service, broken English. Lamb chops curry was 8/10. Lamb seekh kebabs were super. Decor and seating is a little outdated. Over all 6.8/10 Wouldn’t visit again unless I was passing by.

Best lamb curry in derby by far

I went there to collect my order and saw person who was behind the counter collected dirty plates and leftover food from the table. Then next minute he picked up a 🍅 tomato from left over salad and put back in bowl which will go to the next customer.i find so disgusting as people are eating leftovers with out knowing. Food is tasty but you cant compromise with health and safety. This stoped me not to go back again.

I really love the food very nice and tasty, always make it fresh for every customer. The other good thing is that the open till late night. So almost 3 to 4 o clock in morning you can have a food from them. Really good service
