The staff were lovely 🥰 and the food was amazing as well as the drinks. The bottomless was sooo worth it and we got plenty of drinks and a decent portion of food for what it’s worth.

Great food, great atmosphere Nothing too much trouble, Bakewell tart highly recommended If you are in the area and want good food - give it a try you won't be disappointed

We came here for a drink after going for a meal elsewhere along Friargate. This was a rare evening away for all of us (being new mums) and our experience in Fat Cats was really disappointing and put a downer on what should have been a pleasant evening. When we went in we saw they had a 241 drinks offer on. I asked the bar staff if this applied to cocktails and was informed no but it covered most other drinks. I therefore asked for two small glasses of wine but was then informed it only applied to large glasses of wine. This was fine but I really didn’t need two large glasses and so my friend who was stood next to me at the bar suggested I had two mixers. I then ordered two amaretto and cokes from the woman at the bar who had been explaining the deals to us and was charged £16 (along with a glass of regular coke!). When I questioned this, the bar lady apologised and said the deal hadn’t been applied and it was £13. Still slightly confused I paid and returned to the table. Surely a single mixer couldn’t be £10? Five minutes later a friend went back to the bar to check the price of a single mixer. She was then informed the deal only applied to doubles and that’s what I must have been served. I also didn’t need two doubles! When I tried to politely explain to the bar I had ordered two singles but was served and charged for doubles, I was told I couldn’t get refunded for the drink I didn’t order because I had taken it back to the table. The attitude of the staff was rude and completely unapologetic. We certainly won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend. Having spoken to others since we have been told their experiences have been similar and to avoid this place.

It was Saturday evening so it was busy. More staff at the bar would have been handy. I found the music a little loud and overbearing but it suited some other people. A good selection of drinks including alcohol free options. A very vibrant pub with plenty going on. I would visit again when in the area.

1 star is too much for this chicken shop .. always dirty table never cleaned down .. when you pay extra for toppings on your pizza they are happy to take the money but not give you the toppings and then say you never asked for them but yet the bloke behind the counter wrote it down , very rude when you try to ask where the toppings are ! Not my first bad experience previous noticed by food covered in hairs and they tried to tell me it was seasoning when me and partner had the exact same meal and yet only one of them was hairy

Would leave zero stars if possible. Ordered at 8:30, waited until midnight and recieved no food. No communication from the restaurant about why they didn't deliver, they don't answer their phone. We've requested a refund, do not order from here for delivery.

Great little pub, serving Pedigree and Bass both in excellent condition from happy, friendly bar staff, sadly diggie not allowed due to the small area of the pub

I didn’t mention the food taste because, personally, I only highlight it when it stands out. For me and my friends, the flavor didn’t quite meet our expectations, especially compared to other places in a similar price range. But of course, taste is subjective — what’s not for me might be perfect for someone else. Wishing you all the best and hope others continue to enjoy your food!

Give Mackencie F a raise! She was in the kitchen on her own, at a busy lunchtime and served people in good time and with a smile and nice attitude.

Place is closed down permanently and building up for sale no communication from owner though

we booked a table on a monday afternoon at 14.00urs. The menu was well priced and good value for money , the mixed grill i had was fantastic .well cooked with plenty of meat and chips . the staff where very friendly and polite,but a bit short on the ground (which is way i did not give you full marks ) i would recommend this pub to everyone....
