If you are vegetarian don't bother unless you want charcoal my partner had the chicken and it was over cooked and dry would have got a better and probably cheaper burger from bk. Overpriced and over cooked . The only good thing about it was the pint . The service took for ever and it wasn't even busy

Some of the meals may no be available anymore due to them being a one-time-only, or a canceled item like the amazing breakfast menu they had for a while.] We've always had great food here. I sometimes have a late breakfast and skip lunch so I can eat their American sized portions. Wild monthly / bi-monthly / seasonal specials. Don't be afraid to take your burger apart or rearrange it if you can't fit it in you mouth. I've been having drinks in a stein with my meals, working through their on-tap ales. You can have a cocktail in a stein (I recommend the Don Father), though that costs extra. Presumably you can have a simple drink like a coke in one, I've never thought to ask. Even though they are currently training new staff there have been little to no mistakes, but if any have come up they were sorted as best and as quickly as possible! We always leave full and satisfied, what we don't eat we ask for a box to take it home in to eat later, or re-heat it for lunch the next day. Ordering for a delivery is just as tasty, it's is wrapped up far better than most regular takeaways wrap their food.

Excellent food and friendly service couldn't fault, make sure you book because it does get busy.

Went today as a family for my sisters birthday and we had the nicest time the staff couldn’t do enough for us and the food was incredible every burger was absolutely delicious and the sides was so nice was a little disappointed that there was no wings but this isn’t something that can be helped if they haven’t got the stock then so be it 🤷🏻‍♀️ o cannot believe how inexpensive it was for us all to have multiple drinks at least one side each a burger and this experience absolutely cannot wait to go again thank you so much for making her day special

arrived at 6.35 ... was shown to our table by a lovely polite young lady who was to only person to be seen looking after several tables and the bar by herself it was almost 7 and she hadn't managed to get our drinks order ...let alone our food order .... very disappointing

Really, really disappointing - have happy memories of fine burgers at the Nottingham branch, but that was pre-Covid and time has taken it's toll sadly: plus point - nice meaty burger. Bad point - everything else: completely awful dry and tasteless bun and the toppings had zero flavour. Onion rings unforgiveable - bought in and had a weird aftertaste! This is a burger restaurant - onion rings are easy to make and homemade can be the highlight. Used to he a good beer choice as well, but now safe and boring. Must also mention that the server was bright and welcoming and I can only admire how she keeps that going whilst having to serve that food.

Would never go again after a series of awful visits a few years ago with hair in my food and missing food. Hoped it would be better but it has gotten worse. Arrived to over hear a member of staff saying they wouldn't do anymore cocktails as they'd had enough. I was about to order a cocktail and was on my works Christmas do ready to spend. Later on I asked for a floater drink and was told in a less than professional manner 'only drafts and spirits tonight'. Blunt and quite frankly it all came across as lazy. Table was an hour late too. My food was burnt but I didn’t want to eat at a different time to my party so I returned the last third of it and mentioned it as some feedback. The person who served me said we welcome any positive or negative feedback and was so cheerful, it was completely inappropriate for the situation. It came across as she couldn't care less. I could have just said I was pregnant. It was so fake. Quite frankly it is not hard as a chef to see something is burnt and decline to send it out. We pre ordered our desserts which were unavailable - a months notice for Christmas pudding? They last for months. Such a shame as if it all worked, it would be a great place to eat and the idea of it is excellent. Don't bother going is my advice. You'll get better at McDonalds... including the service.

Went for one of the Christmas comedy nights. The venue is horrendous, for too much echo and the sound system should be thrown out. Couldn't hear the comedy and the background noise is far too loud. They must be able to do something to deaden the noise! The food was ok, certainly wouldn't pay the price asked if it was my own money. As it was Christmas the food might not be as good as it would be normally but I'll not be finding out. Left half way through the comedy.

Waited over 45 mins for our food to then be told our food would be another 30 mins @ least as kitchen was very busy and would we like more drinks and more drinks etc, after a further 50 mins waiting I asked could you please let me know what's happening with the food as would have to leave soon to attend a gig that I was due to be at, food arrived Cold , burger was hard as concrete and salad was stale, bread was also stale , staff did not seem to care , also very dirty in toilets and generally run down , Its a real shame and I deffo won't be going back as service was shoddy and food was aweful 😪

My husband had been to Annies previously and really enjoyed it so we decided to take advantage of the ‘Home Alone’ screening and have a ‘birthday’ burger lunch with the family. It is a beautiful building and we really enjoyed our time there and the atmosphere. The food was lovely and the staff were well organised for saying they only had 2 x front of house staff, they tried their best and worked very hard to keep the wheels turning. Overall we were impressed with the surrounding, food (thanks chef!) and how dedicated and hard working the staff were and we will be back.

The most disrespectful establishment I've ever encountered.

Pre booked meal arrived cold. Drinks took over half an hour to arrive. Table not cleared until requested. Comedy act ruined by rowdy group from Aldi.

We went to the ogretones. Amazing atmosphere and additional needs were catered for really well. We had 2 wheelchairs and were made to feel welcome and accepted. Nothing was too much trouble

Heard about the fòod being great here so decided to visit. I was really disappointed with the layout, although the building inside is interesting the layout was like a school dinner hall, the tables very close together. I was sat on a long bench which catered for about 5 tables and felt every bump vibration from other diners sitting on the same wooden bench throughout my visit. Ordering the drinks was fine but the food took a long time to arrive, sat waiting an hour or more. There was no privacy from the tables close by, could hear lots of conversations it was very noisy as the room also has a VERY high ceiling so was echoing. It was a very cold room aswell. When the food arrived finally it looked ok, I had The Broadway / £15.90 Burger topped with a grilled chicken breast, sausage patty, American style crispy bacon and grilled cheddar cheese, with a choice of sauce on the side. The sausage patty was bland tasted a bit like stuffing, the burger was pink inside and not great, the bacon and chicken was really nice though. I wasnt given choice of sauce on the side so used the mayonnaise sachets provided on the table, these were very difficult to open. Parking was over the other side of a main road which was ok. I wont be visiting again.

Went with a few pals to Annie’s when it was not busy at all , food came and the manager who took our order had added an extra side to our order , when we went to pay then tried to blame us for HER mistake of adding an extra side Other servers were great and apologised for this but the manager didn’t apologise once , also got charged for 2 drinks when we only ordered one and had to remind them 3 times that we still didn’t receive it. All in all managed needs to own her mistake and apologise for it and not try and blame the customers who literally didn’t order it

Hard undercooked wedges. Overdone dry burger. Bun fell apart after first bite. Staff said yeah we know wedges are not done and everyone is complaining. Bit of a let down for that price range. Service was brilliant, girls were lovely. Just the food was not worth it.

Well what can I say went on a reconnissance mission as 20 people wanted to book for a Christmas meal.The burgers were soggy, chips over salted,place echoey like a village hall. When I complained to the waitress she replied "whatever"Needless to say this wont be our Christmas venu

£19 for a burger and stein of your choice. A great deal for such a nice meal. The range of topping they offer is astonishing. I would recommend booking because they sometimes do events. During the events they can still take bookings but they are moved into the tavern which is a small space. If it is busy, the food can take a while to arrive. The staff are always friendly and can answer any of our questions. I wish they offered a few different puddings because non of them appealed to us.

Ordered delivery from Annie's a couple of weeks ago, it arrived over an hour late and it was cold. The burgers were burnt around the edges and tastless. The chicken nugget meal was the worst, 4 pieces of batter the size of a 2p coin and a handful of chips. I actually can't believe they would send a meal out like that! Absolutely disgusting! Really disappointed as we have ordered from them before and it was lovely but after this experience we won't be ordering from them again!

I went to Annie's for a comedy show so I didn't have food as the idea of sitting in a cramped seat with hardly any room to move and eat a burger off my lap did not appeal . I may go back one day for a meal but I would honestly say the venue is not designed for gigs and would avoid going back unless there was someone I was really desperate to see . The seating was cramped having to go next door to order food and get drinks as the queues in the main venue were over whelmed was a bit odd . In all the comedy was good the venue not really designed for those events. As a side note on event nights there is a limited menu which I didn't notice advertised anywhere . It feels like they are trying to cram as many people as possible in to create the biggest profit rather than creating a decent atmosphere and experience for the customer.

Slightly disappointed, totally empty which is classic derby behaviour. Use it otherwise it will be shut? Building is great, very funky. Could be a great venu for bands! Food was good, some of the combinations are bizarre but at least that’s what they do and do it well.

We visited in a group of 7. The two wait staff were very friendly and really matched the energy of our group. They had a challenging evening because apparently there was an accident in the kitchen, but also there were some drunks trying to cause chaos and they later came back and threw eggs. The wait staff did an amazing job looking after us and the other diners, And even though the food took a while we had an amazing time. The staff were a credit to the restaurant. I come here all the time and it is far and away my favourite place to eat. The food is always very well prepared, there are lots of options and it's very affordable. Top restaurant in Derby

Food was very good, service was lacking. We arrived without booking and fair enough they found us a table for five people. We then waited for a good while to even order drinks, then another long wait for them to arrive. We ordered food and then another long wait. The food arrived and it was very good, Johnny Vegas burger was great. But a side order did not arrive, there was only one set of cutlery on the table and no serviettes. We had to go and approach someone to ask for them and some more drinks. The drinks never came. Upon leaving the manger did take the side order off the bill as well as two of the original drinks which was nice of them. They need more staff working. We only saw 4 in what is a fairly large place.

Food took an hour to arrive and was below average quality and size for the amount it cost. £16 for a cheap burger in a cheap bun with some curly fries from a supermarket freezer. Waiters were polite and apologetic but added random stuff to our order by mistake and the bill was too confusing to split. Don't think I'd visit again based on my first experience there.

Gave Annes Derby another chance try after a poor experience last time. Food took over an hour to arrive, this I do not blame on the staff working as they were working so hard, there was just not enough of them.

Went for my Daughter’s birthday as a family. We had a lovely time, the food was great with so many choices. The burger are not your average burgers, all are deliciously different. The staff were amazing, especially Nathan the Marketing manager Thankyou

Would like to say a big thank you to Liam for helping us host an 18th Birthday Celebration in the Tavern at Annie’s Burger Shack, Derby. The venue was perfect for our group with its own bar and toilet. 25 people enjoyed their burgers, which were preordered due to the size of our party - but everything was brought out quickly, hot and exactly as we had ordered it. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!!

Following reading the reviews and responses from management claiming they are going to look into waiting times, I can safely say they haven’t. Quick enough to take our initial drink order, we were then left waiting for further drinks and having to ask passing waiters to make an order. The time between ordering our food and food being served was something to be desired, but we weren’t starving or in a rush so wouldn’t feel the need to complain about that, if you are pressed for time it might be an issue. The food served was of varying quality, with the price of the food you would expect a little higher standard. On the positive staff were lovely and always had a smile on their face.

Visited Annie’s today, on the back of a busy day out, with tired children and everybody dreading the two hour drive back home! Well, what a change in mood we had leaving Annie’s. Everyone had perked up and were filled with food not dread. Wonderful service from two members of staff on the bar. Food was delivered promptly and to an astounding standard despite taking extra measures to serve a coeliac safely. I don’t know their names but wish I’d caught them as the two FOH staff on tonight were excellent.

My advice is…. AVOID! My main complaint being the quality of the food. When I last went (albeit a few years ago) the beef patties were hand rolled, juicy and beefy but not anymore. The burger last night was dry, tasteless and a strange colour. I’ve tasted better Birdseye frozen burgers! The bread was like a brick, the meal was verging on too cold to eat although this could be due to them forgetting to load my fries and taking my meal away for 15 minutes only for it to return with my chip toppings cold. God knows what they had been doing with the meal in those 15 minutes. The service was atrocious. 3 front of house staff who were manning the bar, greeting staff and waiting on tables. I asked for the bill and after receiving it I had to go to the bar to pay as I had already waited 30 minutes for the card machine. The fact that there were about 5 tables of guests on a Saturday evening speaks volumes! I won’t be going back…. I’m not the type to complain/leave reviews but this place was soooo bad it’s only fair to warn others. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

I used to live in Nottingham and loved going to Annies. The Derby branch has been repeatedly disappointing, with very hit and miss service and quality of food. Not uncommon to wait 40-60 minutes for burgers, even when there are only 5 or 6 tables filled in the restaurant. It's local and I want to love it, but it isn't doing itself any favours. Last night I went to a comedy night with some friends and waited 50 minutes for food, meaning our meals were served during the performance. Really awkward and not what we wanted, and on top of that the burgers were overdone and quite dry. It took the edge off the night - we wished we'd eaten somewhere else before and just arrived for the show. I know how great Annies can be but at this point I can't keep throwing money at dry burgers and slow service. Sorry Annie!

Table was pre-booked and meals were ordered in-advance for a birthday celebration but we still had to wait for nearly 1 and a half hours for the food to arrive, skin of fries were warm but not hot. Will definitely not be returning anytime soon to this venue.

I want to echo what others have said. We went for a meal with friends, due to the size of the party we were asked to pre order food but it took nearly 90 minutes after the booking time for food to arrive. We had to ask for a drinks order to be taken, no one checked up on us after the food was served and mistakes were made with the food despite pre-ordering.
