We order food never got what we ordered asked for refund they refused was very arsy about it made out it my fault when they messed up the order absolutely fuming for the way just bin treatered.

Great place with friendly staff

Place empty when we walked in and I can see why after having a meal. Should have known when the meals were bought to the table and one of the knives hadn’t even been washed. I ordered a burger that was supposed to be 2 full chicken breasts but what I got was a bun hiding 3 tiny chicken strips that barely filled the bun. When I pointed this out to the staff I was told “the chicken strips were delivered by mistake so that’s what we are serving in place of the burgers” would have been nice to have been told this when I ordered so I could have chosen something else. Never even offered a replacement when I pointed out it wasn’t what was advertised. Customer service so bad as no solution was offered the attitude was basically even though it’s not what you ordered, tough that’s what you are getting. Certainly won’t be dining here again

New owners seem tp have turned this pub around a bit. Nice place to come. Friendly atmosphere.

The best evening for my daughter’s 18th birthday party, we hired the function room at The Bank and there was nothing they wouldn’t do to be accommodating. The evening was a huge hit and I can’t thank the staff at The Bank enough. The amazing lady who served our guests all night worked endlessly ensuring everyone was served quickly and she was so wonderfully polite and just gave the best vibes. Thank you so much to her (sorry I missed her name)! Highly recommended using this function room for any party requirements, I don’t have a negative of the whole evening!

Absolutely love the bank bar, friendly service and atmosphere everytime we pop in. Can I point out the odour isn't the bank bars fault, asda next door also has the same problem due to drainage. The pub itself is lovely and clean, staff are always friendly and go bobe and beyond to ensure your visit is enjoyable. My daughter is autistic so has sensory needs with food but the owners and staff always go above and beyond to cater for her needs, (some places are really rude about doing this and will only say what's on the menu is for offer) . I've noticed afew comments on here saying that the owners and staff should accept more ethnic groups and be open to them. The owners couldn't be anymore welcoming to each person regardless of colour or race, my nephews are half Barbadian and half white British and have always been made welcome by staff and the owners, my nephews love them. 💯 ignore all the negative reviews and if you want a lovely enjoyable time put with food, then the bank bar is the place to be !

Bar was empty, we were rudely rushed by the landlord and landlady into buying a drink - the landlady then refused to serve us despite almost demanding we buy a drink and her being stood behind the bar. Poor service- wouldn't recommend

Came in on Saturday for Drinks the place stinks and isn't very clean clearly the cleaner left with the old management what a dump! there was a man and woman behind the bar I would say the woman was in her late 60s and man early 50s the man had a northern accent and was very friendly but the woman needs to learn to speak to her customers as she has a poor attitude and shouldn't be in customer service

Went for food. The place had a slight odour about it. So just had a pint . Very nice and reasonable priced. Lovely bar staff with really warm hands.

Walked in today at 2145 and was told that last orders had passed. Maybe it was because we were 2 Asian men walking in or they decided to suddenly change the operating hours. We did question the bar maid but she was adamant that late orders had been called ?!! Will never go here again and would suggest that they either change the opening hours published or become more open to ethnic customers!

We were told that the bar had stopped serving at 2145 on a Thursday -2 Asian guys walking in and last orders have been called ?! We only nipped in for a beer but hey they decide to choose who to serve - chad in the 80s attitude !!

I do not recommend this place, the food is of a low standard, once again not fresh, the woman who seems to be the owner is very arrogant and not nice. The level is below minimum standards.. If you want to have a nice time, avoid this place.

Went for mcmillon event and due to rain barely anyone in the event although in the bar area it was quite busy didnt eat or drink there

I can’t rate this highly enough, I booked the function room for a family gathering after a funeral. There were jugs of iced water on arrival which were very welcome as the temperature was in the 80s. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were very welcoming and friendly. The food was beyond my expectations both hot and cold buffet, plenty to go around and loads left over. Thank you to the staff of The Bank, you did us proud.

The place is disgusting. Stinks of the toilet. Food is dry and awful and gave my partner and upset stomach. Bar service was okay but will NOT be going back

Cracking place and entry fee lasts a year. Fossil tours are on too.

40th Birthday party. DJ was poor, playing christmas songs and kiddy songs all night, buffet was disgraceful for saying it cost £500! Plates ran out after the first 15-20 people had eaten, nowhere near enough food for the number of guests either. Bar staff were rude and abrupt when the party organiser complained to them. Gone downhill over the last few years.

Had a lovely meal at the bank today with friends, new managers Joey & Steven are very attentive and gave us a fab service food was very tasty and reasonably priced too, definitely recommend good luck guys I really hope you make a success of your new venture

It's alright if there a sporting event you want to watch

Went in to watch England smash Iran in their opening game. The staff were brilliant, nice and friendly service that we didn't have to wait long for.

It's ok. Apart from the 2 punch-ups.

Booked a 50th birthday party for the beginning of January 2023, called THEM today 9/11/22 to find out how much was left to pay.. only to be told they had double booked n that they can close part of the bar off but regulars would be in there or cancel.. obviously i had to cancel.. I’m now trying desperately to find a new venue.. what would have happened if i hadn’t of rang them ??

Great food, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Chef was excellent totally recommended the veggie burger.

Family run outfit with a warm and carpeted function room. Those running it work hard to please their customers against a small ,visiting minority who seem to enjoy being messy and impolite. Please cut the staff Some slack.It's no easy ride being a publican.

My grandson had his 21st birthday party in the function room which has its own entrance & toilets separate to the main bar. The landlord Ian & team provided the food which was very nice & the music was supplied by the pub DJ & he played a full range of music for all ages. A really good night was had by all guests. Well recommended.

Fantastic burger, perfectly seasoned, struggled to finish it. Managed to finished the free pudding though. 😂

Went into Bank for lunch. Very friendly and welcoming young lady...Laura. she was on her own but was in complete control of everything....bar, waitressing and very professional. The meal we had was presented very well and delicious.....even down to the peas!!!! Had a lovely chat with the Manager Ian who is also chef. Thank you both.

Last orders called but not heard and called earlier than week before so seems like staff want k get home early on Monday night

Changed a lot since last went about 15yrs ago. Went to a private function, very well laid out & organised, only 2 things let it down was waiting at bar (1 bar person serving) quicker going to main bar. Other thing no toilets in function room as out of order.

Amazing service, although the bar has a step so isn't wheelchair accessible, the staff came down to me to take my order, and helped me pay. They also brought our drinks out to us. It was fantastic and they where so helpful with everything 😊

I come into the Bank regularly: after work pint..Today, I overheard a customer choose a chicken meal that they had eaten previously.... it intrigued me.. so I asked?Bare in mind I drink here regularly, but have never eaten anything.Tonight I decided to try the “Cheeky Chicken” menu; Spicy Chipotle BBQ with ‘slaw, spicy curly fries and sweet chilli dip.. I also ordered a couple of pieces of Southern fried chicken on the side, which I ate as a starter with mayo...As pub food goes... the meal was really tasty. The half chicken was moist. Southern fried chicken breast fillets were equally perfect. Hence me writing this post... I am pleasantly surprised.. the venue, a sports bar with screens everywhere and LOUD music or sports commentary, isn’t my normal dining objective... but I will eat here again...An education for me; “don’t judge the book by its cover”

Went here last week. Staff were lovely, but the food wasn't great I had a chicken platter onion rings and chips were nice but chicken was not for me.

I think more turned up than the bank was expecting.. tea and coffee: cups ran out, coffee and teabags ran out as well. No service at bar for long times. I only saw one person from the bar, seemedas thoygh she was doing everything, no one supporting her

Nice bright place which makes a nice change, bar staff very friendly and polite drinks are a reasonable price. Tables nice and clean not sticky like other establishments, well done 👍

The beer was OK but the food was horrendous. The chicken was undercooked and didn't look like chicken the batter on the fish was tough and clearly reheated and scampi didn't taste like scampi. The toilets are not fit for purpose with no locking cubicle doors. They also need more staff as there were not enough staff to run the bar, cook food and serve it to customers. Will not be returning.

All the bar staff are very accommodating give great service in a timely fashion. The kitchen staff craft very tasty food that's high quality, every time. I'm very impressed, well done!

Noisy, the music was so loud it was terrible. No atmosphere just noise.

Went for an early evening drink with my partner. My first visit after several years. Layout of bar was airy and spacious, booths were well placed and comfortable and food menu looked interesting. However, when will people learn that they don't need to be so territorial just because they frequent the establishment so regularly? We can all swear and laugh out loud, but mercifully most of the population have the future welfare and longevity of their local at heart, rather than the faux-raucous barking, swearing and unbecoming behaviour on display. Nobody is impressed, and the owners must be torn between moving forward in a competitive business, or succumbing to the rabble who, with next to no investment, are under the belief that 'their pub' belongs to them. It doesn't, and the owners need to clear the way for the spenders who could transform their establishment, which, in such a prominent position, should be prospering with the clientele it surely deserves.

Very nice interior. Rough crowd. Service slow and food was decent but half portion sizes.

Nice pub. Mainly locals. Next to Asda and main road. Beers are well kept.

This was my second visit and it was better than the first. Lovely function room and the staff were so helpful. The buffet was lovely as well with hot and cold foods..I'd definitely consider hiring the room for myself.

Not being from the area we were literally passing trade looking for somewhere to eat. Pulled in and was a bit sceptical at first as it was not that busy for a Saturday lunch time. How wrong i was. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent, very good quality and superb value for money. The manager came over to introduce himself as he had not seen us in before so they must know their customers well and must get regular trade. We would definitely go back if in the area again. Just cant understand why it was not packed at that time of day. I have selected "Cheap eats" as the category as the price was good but definitely would not describe the food quality as cheap.

Friendly, not a bad price, only had one 3 ft pool cue which let them down as we'd picked there because it has a decent table.

The Bank improved from last time in there. The staff are very good, and good meals ,Made very welcome,manager of the best order.will definitely go back again

We hired the function room for my daughters baby shower, we had a lovely time hall was perfect and staff lovely .

came here with my family last week to watch the derby leeds game. the place was packed but full of good spirits. didn’t have any trouble finding a table. the menu caters for all tastes and we opted for burgers and the hunters chicken. the food came out quickly and was hot and looked appetising. the burgers were moist and juicy and lovely chips. my hunters chicken was oozing with bbq sauce and melted cheese. delish. we then all had. we all had the millionaires cheesecake. omg. all in all it was a good meal and i tend to be fussy. the atmosphere is friendly and the staff are helpful. i cannot wait to try this place at lunch times
