We’ve been sat at the table and then we’ve been waiting for the waiter to come and ask what we want for 15 minutes. At some point he wanted to come to us but then people came at the front door and told us to wait. After that we could not wait anymore as we were not served for 15 minutes. Very poor service, will never come here again.

Customer service from Karam was great. He was very engaging and funny. The food could have improved because the ice cream scoops were completely melted and the strawberry tart was too sweet because there was too much sauce on it.

Karam greeted us and was warm and friendly. He provided excellent customer service and promoted the new brunch range. He was very knowledgeable on the menu items. Basila and other staff were also very lovely and friendly. Excellent all round. Thanks!

Service was terrible siam either got multiple things wrong or didn’t bring what was asked for wasn’t provided with any cutlery for my desert, had to get up and get it myself when I got up to pay I had mentioned that I never got my peppermint tea they didn’t have the brain cells between them to think of a resolution just said sorry an proceeded to payment

I could hardly get through my cookie jar which really put me in a bad mood especially for what I'm paying

Couldn't make any changes to what was in the menu, been there loads of time before. Last visit the service was terrible, rude and unfriendly, kids wanted to have white chocolate instead of milk chocolate but the manager and waiter refused to make the change as this wasn’t on the menu. Don't think we will go back again.

Hamza was brilliant and given that we came as a party of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids), he was absolutely patient and friendly with the kids. Thank you for your amazing service

Wow... just WOW! Not only did they serve delicious desserts but they had a whole separate menu for vegans with more than 2 items on it! (For you non vegans... this is unheard off!) I would highly recommend taking a visit to heavenly desserts in derby, it's one of the best places I've ever been too.... just don't bother getting a meal before hand like we did!!! (The one on the right is the vegan one!)

Need to get better staff, it was that bad an atmosphere from staff that I even emailed the place but didn't get a response. The food is nice but please sort your staff out & then it'd be a lovely place

Update 20/07/2024 Returned to have coffee. : Today I returned to your café after being pleased with my previous experience, hoping it would remain just as delightful or even exceed my expectations. Unfortunately, that was not the case, which is a shame as you have a well-placed product with optimum potential. I ordered a cappuccino at £3.75 at 16:43 and sat well within view of the staff. By 17:04, having waited long enough and with no time left to spare, I drew attention to the poor service and requested a refund. This caused a sense of collective embarrassment among the staff, and one lady apologized, admitting the oversight was hers. Having managed a large hotel, I can tell you that at such a moment, you have an opportunity to rectify the situation and even enhance your reputation with a meaningful response. Contrition alone will not tip the scales in your favor. The goodwill of the customer is your most valuable asset, and without it, you have no business. Here’s a blueprint for every customer interaction: as soon as a new person approaches, make eye contact, smile, and acknowledge their presence, even if you are busy. Treat every customer as you would your "mum." Once seated, keep them on your radar and notice them. Keep them updated on their order's progress. Some delays are inevitable, but it’s crucial that the customer feels esteemed and important to you. It’s unrealistic to expect that nothing will ever go wrong. When it does, your focus should be on how to make it right. The response must be proportional to the damage or the risk of losing the customer and those they influence. A simple sorry and a refund is not enough because the customer may leave feeling let down and undervalued. I would have appreciated a heartfelt apology followed by the question, "How can we put this right for you, sir?" Then, exceed the expectation, given what is at stake. Whether it be an apology, a refund, a free product, a voucher, or a promise of a complimentary experience on a future visit, it’s essential to go beyond mere words. For instance, you might say, "We are so sorry, sir. Please come back another time, and we will offer you a complimentary experience at our expense." In conclusion, my comments are offered in the spirit of wanting you to succeed and retain your customers. I do not wish to use this review to cause any negative consequences but rather to give you an opportunity to still "put things right." Wishing you continued success. Kind regards, JJ

The desserts are good, but the staff was rude and untrained. Went their with my guests and the ordered took more than half an hour to arrive. Particularly my order arrived when everyone's has already finished and even then half of my order was missing. They always come up with an excuse that they are short staffed.

We ate today 26/4 13:30 in these dessert cafe, service was awful, the staff in charge was so unfriendly and rude, while we are ordering her eye are rolling, she don’t look happy at all, when we enter the cafe it’s only her in the shop serving everyone in busy hour, so we enter and sit down rather than standing in the door to wait for her. When we sat down and went to her, i ask her if we can have the menu, then she said you should wait in the door until to are seated, that’s why the sign is there right? with her evil look. She was not happy at all, i went back to my sit without giving me the menu, after 15minutes she gives us the menu, then when we order she is like in a hurry and keep rolling her eye. I understand that she is busy and under pressure but she cannot treat customers like that. We always eat in your cafe but this is the first time we in counter a rude employee like her, she don't even have name tag. When we are paying she just put down the receipt and leave. How rude… it’s disgusting, she shouldn’t work in that cafe. We are total disappointed with her.

We’ve been here a few times, and the food is way better than the other desert parlours around here! Waffles 🧇 all the way 🥳 Moiz also made some good suggestions, guided us through the menu and even offered to customise our dessert according to our taste buds. 👏🏽

Have ordered from here via Uber Eats many times and the food has always been good. Attended here in person for the first time last night and wasn’t impressed at all. Stood waiting by the counter to be served and was completely ignored. 5/6 staff members around who looked me up and down plenty of times but not once was I even acknowledged, greeted, offered any help - nothing. Young Asian female behind the counter was particularly rude to people and had a general attitude about her. I waited awkwardly for well over 5 minutes before leaving without ordering. The place was a bit grotty in general and had an unpleasant atmosphere, owing mainly to the fact the staff seem to communicate with each other in a foreign language while making glances at you. I’m not going to bother visiting again and will certainly think twice about ordering from them online now I’ve seen the state of the place.

Travelled half an hour for a dessert, website said it closed at 2 am and we arrived at 1:20am worker said they were closed and unable to serve us. I told him what the website said and he said we were able to have a take out. Clearly tried to turn us away. Attitude of workers stunk. Food was okay but customer service skills non existent.

I visited the store today to enjoy a pleasant moment with my children and everything that happened was a very unpleasant experience. We arrived at the restaurant and at the entrance there was a stand with a paper telling us to wait to be seated, which is normal in all restaurants but as it was raining we moved a little beyond this paper so that we could all enter the restaurant. The lady who was answering spoke in a very RUDE way asking if we knew how to read the paper. She then asked, still rudely, if we wanted to sit in or take away, we politely said seat in and followed her to the table, she looked mad as if she didn't want to serve us. We sat down and I asked the lady why she was being so rude to us and she replied if we didn't know how to read the paper at the entrance? I said yes, but that was no reason for her to be rude to which she replied that if I was unhappy with her being rude that she could simply not serve us, and I said ok and ended up leaving telling her that She was rude and racist because that's how I felt. I asked if it was a crime not to read the paper at the entrance and she said yes it was. I found this situation very disappointing and sad and I believe that this is not how your business wants to be recognized as rude and unfriendly people. Today was a day to enjoy with my children, my youngest is 2 years old and loves ice cream and all we got was rude customer service. In addition, the entrance to the restaurant was dirty with a lot of trash at the entrance.
