Very clean and friendly pub. With great staff

Disgusting , spiders in the loo , didn’t flush, nowhere was clean was all proper dirty everywhere but the loo was the worst

Kacper was lovely he was very helpful and polite Sara cooked some amazing food it was very yummy! Luke was also very helpful

Need to be able to envisage how your function will look and make it happen yourself, the staff are welcoming and really helpful had daughters wedding reception yesterday and bar man luke was amazing along with his colleague think her name is Sarah they made everything amazing, and casper is exceptionally brilliant too very good priced rooms, drinks bit on expensive side but food menu is very cheap and great quality

Drinks are expensive £4 for a coke, male toilets were disgusting RSPCA smells better, floor covered in urine. Staff and bouncer were friendly

Great pub just opposite the station. Busy on match days and has some pool tables in the back if you like to play.

Called in this for a few pints. The barman was 10/10. Rare to find a good barman these days. Professional and friendly. I will return.

It's a nice pub, don't understand why there's never anyone in it

Always a good selection of beers, place deserves to be more busy. There's loads comfortable seating and very high ceilings it's a very roomy pub with a separate function room and a couple of pool tables.

It’s a really cold place they don’t put any heating on and there not very friendly there oh sorry the only time there friendly there is when your handing over money but once you’ve paid then they are not helpful and the charge you for everything we paid 350 and they have no disco lights but there was some in the room when we was shown round in there and then wanted to charge extra for us to put the food on the tables and they gave us two small tables for the dj to set up on

What a disgusting place. We came here to watch the rugby after being to Bustler market to get out of the cold. I would have much rather stayed there and froze to death than come here again. £15 for a beer and single rum and coke. The beer I asked for was flat and easily seen so asked to change it. Was told I can have a different beer if I wanted as my first choice had been bad all day, then why serve it in the first place? My fiance came back from the women's toilet and advised me it was disgusting and wanted to leave. It was a Saturday afternoon and only two other people were in there, I can understand why. The staff were rude, place was cold, smelly and dirty. Picture taken was of the carpet in the men's toilet, I doubt I would be able to post what my fiance described in the ladies. I suppose the locals knows the stay away and would guess it's used by football fans as the first bar off the train station. Grim

Hour to kill for train hot afternoon, so a pint and a sandwich hits the spot pleasant staff lovely young lady cooking and serving. Worth another visit.

Beautiful building, a little rough around the edges inside but can be forgiven. It's an honest pub with good food and friendly staff. They have a small menu, but the food is far better quality than Weatherspoon's for a similar price bracket. Will definitely be coming back.

Nice, friendly staff. Attended a function there, and everything was spot on. Has pool tables £1 for 15 minutes and a nice pint. Whats not to like?

Went for the final of Euro 2020(1) amazing atmosphere. Drinks well priced for a pub across the road from a train station.

A nice bar in a nice location right next to the railway station. Was surprisingly empty when I went, and deserves to be less empty than it was. I didn't have any food there, but some other people in my group did and it looked nice.

All that can be said is average place and therefore not memorable. Better than the recent Vic Inn and not as good as the Alex or Brunswick.

Went to a private party. The function room was very nice, bar staff good & a very polite doorman.

Had great party at the waterfall last weekend amazing package and loads of fab food sry we left loads xx lots of people didn't come but those who did had an amazing night fab DJ too zxxx

Nice pint and lovely friendly staff. Couldn't find the goat that was mentioned in a previous review though. A bit of a shame as I was looking forward to seeing some livestock roaming around the bar and was one of the reasons why I decided to go. I guess the smell must have been coming off that person or from another astablishment in the area 🤔. I guess only time will tell.

The pub was buzzing at sat dinner time with fans watching football, the staff were brilliant serving everyone quickly, the food & ale were good well done all.

Good choice of beers, including favourite 'Blue Moon'. Lacks atmosphere during the day as it was fairly empty and has a very high ceiling. Didn't try the food.

Nice pub to relax and have a drink especially if your waiting for a train or meeting people! Pool table's, TV with sport and varied menu for food... Function room available too!

The lightjng is not all that good

We went here on Saturday night around 9pm and it was empty. So had the whole place more or less to ourselves. So we got served quickly. It's a large place and has a number of American pool tables in the back room to play at a £1 a game. All in all a nice venue but just a shame it was so quite on a Saturday night.

Had lunch here. Never again. A burger and a drink for two came to almost £25. Whilst this might have been fine if the quality and service were adequate, this was absolutely not the case. When ordering, we were asked how we would like the burgers cooked and opted for medium rare - both were overcooked when came. The lettuce on the burgers was browned (had obviously been prepared days ago). If you decide to relieve yourself at any point, I'd try and hold it in as the bathrooms are dirty and broken; it feels like the staff have attempted to cover the stench of stale urine with bleach rather than a proper clean. Service was equally inadequate - we spoke to staff when ordering but did not hear anything from them throughout our meal. We would have like to voice our concerns in person but could not see a member of staff not engaged in conversations with each other, oblivious to their paying customers. The only reason why we ended up here is that our local pub (which has none of these issues) was not serving food today. Update: Went home after and was ill. Never again.

The event that was hosted here was organised badly and the staff struggled to cope with the volumes. Whilst I can accept slow service, being ignored for 15 minutes whilst the people around me are being served was very annoying. The burger took 40 minutes to arrive for my friend but was apparently very good, hence the middle rating.

Vastly overpriced drinks, but the venue is nice

Came in for a drink to watch the darts match, first thing I noticed that there was no one in, just the bar lady and the kitchen staff, bought a pint of Carling and cost me £4.10, I went to the Royal Telegraph and it was only £3.40, bit of a rip off really, whilst I was watching the darts came to 9:15pm and shouted for last orders when the place was meant to be shut at 11pm and need to leave at 9:45pm so I had half an hour to finish my pint which was half full. Definitely not coming back after that night. Glad theres pubs next door to it that sell the beer with alot cheaper price.

If the sevice was any less amazing I would have rated 1 star. Service: The staff were amazing and help me loads as I'm picky about my drinks and they where really helpful with bringing my drinks to the table and where super stars for keeping an eye on my brother as I went to the toilet. Toilet (Male Downstairs): The toilets were what made the whole experience take a massive drop in quality cleanliness. There were dead files and loads of dust on the windowsill and the white walls were stained with yellow, black and the rest off white. It was completely uncomfortable place to be in and the dark corridor leading to and away from it didn't help me to feel less comfortable. However the sinks are lovely and new but do need a bit of clean but nothing close to the rest. But with the current conditions nice sinks are not enough. I would recommend to have a drink at the waterfall but I would not go back for long as the toilets are that disgusting.

Bit tatty looking and rooms are upstairs but great sized room for a function and staff are good.

The building architecture is amazing

Don't do it. If you have to do it make sure you get a tetanus first and don't drink anything that isn't in a bottle

Avoid anything on tap, especially the Doom Bar, they always taste off.

Convenient location right next to the railway station. It always feels chilly to me, and the beer is a little bit overpriced.

Good place to grab a drink before getting on the train, as it is directly opposite the station. Beer is relatively pricey.

Good as a venue for events, food isn't great but also very cheap so an element of you get what you pay for

Really nice facility we held a great event there with Derby University Christian Union ,really friendly and helpful staff.

After cancellation of wedding venue with just over a week to go to the big day, the Waterfall stepped in and showed nothing but helpfulness and compassion. Great and good humoured staff, and really helped us to work around everything! Thank you, you are stars! !!!

I recently had a meal at the waterfall and its fair to say it was the worst experience of my life! The comment 'only go there if you want to go to A and E' sums it up. The staff had faces like pitballs all night and one of them started barking at me, I felt like I was in a mental hospital instead of a restaurant. I still have nightmares about it every night and cant even walk past the place without crying!
