The best restaurants in Charnwood East Midlands

Rang and ordered a collection around 7.00 pm on a Sunday night, it’ll be ready in 30 minutes. Picked it up at 7.30.. restaurant empty, probably the weather , all good. Back home in 5 minutes….. food was barely warm….. lamb karai was more like a casserole, no Indian flavour or spice whatsoever, paratha was hard and overcooked, paneer balti was almost tasteless… both curry dishes bland, Won’t be using Yasmins again.

I have been to this restaurant about 5-6 times by now, and I can confidently say that it's my favourite place to eat in Loughborough. I really don't understand the low reviews some people give, as I've never had a bad experience here. The buffet consists of a fairly small range of all the best Chinese food, without skimping on the more expensive items like beef and prawns, while also including things like sweet+sour chicken, curry, and plenty of starters. Everything is top notch quality, and my girlfriend from Hong Kong says that she finds the food to be authentic. The staff and service are always great, and the atmosphere is very comfortable and well suited for an evening meal. I would highly recommend giving this place a try, particularly for the buffet.

Trash af, pizza cold, put in in Air Fryer so it is better now hence 2*

This must be one of the best chip shops in Loughborough, He doesn't mind going out of his way to please you, The quality is first class, I would definitely recommend it the kebabs, They are beautiful, I always cooked the fish as you walk in to order can't fault the plaice,

There was a queue of customers with trolleys, full, and only one person on the till. Have people on the till! The poor lady on till didn't have a headset either so had to call over another employee on self-serve to ask for someone else to be on tills. And then when they did, they went to the far end, not the till next to, or one over. Meant people at the back rushed there and those who had been waiting longer in the middle of the line had to stay in that queue or be at the back of another. Terrible system. Would not do a big shop here again.

Lovely meal and good portion sizes as always. The meal for one is enough for two people if you have a starter as we do but there was no sweet n sour sauce for our battered chicken balls. So a bit disappointing. Won’t stop us ordering again though.

Had the food delivered which arrived in lightening time and the food was absolutely banging. The kebabs were full of meat and spicy but not too spicy and not swimming in grease, the fried chicken was spot on, crispy and juicy.

Food was over 2hrs late, chicken on the kebab was awful, burnt and tasted horrible.

Tried to scam me! Walked in drunk and ordered a kebab. On just eats the large kebab costs £8 The guy on the till saw that I was intoxicated and tried to charge me £12 for an "extra large" kebab which was the exact same size as the regular large. After pointing out that on just eats it's only £8, he only lowered the price to £10. They will try to tell you fake prices, definitely not going here again. Huge shame!

Visité el Deer Barn Café en Bradgate Park hoy. Está bien, pero hay mucho margen de mejora. En primer lugar, hoy era un día frío, así que queríamos sentarnos dentro, pero este lugar es diminuto por dentro y no hay ni cerca de asientos suficientes, todo sirve de mostrador, muy extraño para el tamaño del edificio. Si no te ayuda el enorme tipo de asientos de la cabina, sácalos, y duplicarías la capacidad de los asientos para esos días de comida menos al aire libre. Tuvimos dos tostadas, ambas con barbacoa de cerdo y queso. Se llenaron muy bien, y el cerdo tirado era agradable. Pero la tostada estaba muy espesa y bastante seca, lo que la hacía menos agradable de comer. Por el precio que normalmente esperarías ver algo más en el plato, un poco de ensalada, o patatas fritas o ambas cosas, pero en este caso, es solo el pan tostado tan relación calidad-precio, no es genial. Teníamos un poco de pastel de chocolate también, estaba seco y comer un pastel seco de un tenedor de madera hace que en realidad sea una experiencia de comer naff, cubiertos de metal habrían ayudado, pero no había manera de alejarse del hecho de que esto era pastel seco. En general, está en un entorno precioso, pero probablemente no volveré a visitarlo pronto, probablemente elegiré uno de los cafés fuera del parque en la entrada de Newtown Linford en su lugar, para comida de mejor calidad por los mismos precios. Es una verdadera lástima porque comer aquí podría ser un placer muy agradable, y apoyar a la caridad del parque, pero tendría que mejorar mucho para que yo pagara esos precios de nuevo

Ordered told it would be ready in 30mins went to pick up at the time I was told and stood and waited over an hour and 20 mins, and it was awful

The food was great, Staff lovely and accommodating (great with the kids) & the restaurant is designed very nicely!

Absolutely disgusting food will never order anything from them again. NEARLY £40
