Fantastic venue, my wife and I loved it, food was plentiful and tasty. Wine was fairly priced and had a good selection. We enjoyed the cheese and onion pie, cote dw boeuf and cocktails, old fashioned is highly recommended
What a surprise to find Magee Street Bakery. Recommended by the folk at Crockett & Jones shoes (just down the street) I have returned each time I go to Northampton. Good coffee and a great sandwich. I wish we had a place like this near us (in South East London). Really, really, good and a total surprise to find tucked away in a back street of Northampton.
The Salt House has great cocktails, and great nibbles. We had a taste of Spain board and it was delish, great for sharing. The staff are brilliant and the atmosphere has a buzz. And dog friendly.
Myself and Mum always finish our afternoon in Ilkley at this very friendly cafe before catching a train home. It's a great place for coffee and cake. We like the Love tray bake slices and brownies and tiffin. The cafe staff all have great customer service skills and a sense of humour and have gone the extra mile regularly for customers. Ilkley has great independent cafes like this that needs supporting rather than Greg's Costa and Cafe Nero that you can get in any town. Always a pleasure to visit this cafe
Excellent value and great food. Food is quickly present. The staff are lovely I have not been able to get to a dessert but they are all traditional and lovely.

First time going here today, the staff were so lovely and sweet and I didn't feel rushed at all. Delicious sandwiches and 100% Italian deli items, really recommend a visit
Great place, superb hosts Sam and Jane. The best haddock chowder and lovely strong coffee. Great value for money. A must visit when in Ulverston you wonβt be disappointed
Iβd come to Arran solely so I could eat at Mara. Kirsty and Gordon ( and Flora) run a fantastic little restaurant. The food has not been less than excellent and the service is friendly and welcoming.
As they warn on their website the seating inside is limited but there are benches right outside or even on the beach side of the road.
We ate here 5 times in 7 days this visit (brunch and late lunch on Sunday!)
Already planning to get back here next year.
A fantastic blend of old meets new. My wife and I had a meal at this brilliant pub last night, and I can honestly say it was the nicest meal we had whilst in Scotland.
My wife had the duck, which was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. For dessert, she had creme brule, which is normally her go-to dessert when we're out. When she'd finished, her comment was, "That was the best creme brule I've ever tasted!"
I had the muscles as a starter. I'd never had muscles before and thought give them ago. I can't say I have anything to compare them to, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. My main was the venison pie with vegetables. Again, excellent. My only slight criticism would have been that the pie crust could have done with being slightly thicker. It disappeared quite quickly once I'd gotten to the gravy. My dessert was the rhubarb crumble with custard. Beautiful! The rhubarb was just tangy enough to get a good taste, but not so much that it was overpowering. Don't tell my Grandma, but it was better than hers!
Friendly staff with a nice real fire to add to the cozy atmosphere.
On the drinks front, maybe think about adding a non alcoholic cider. Given the location, driving to it was our only option from where we were unfortunately staying. Avoid a certain hotel on Loch Awe offering seemingly good deals at game fairs! There's a reason it's cheaper.
However, to sum up The Kilcrenan Inn...Fantastic.
For one three course meal, one 2 course meal, a glass of rose and a pint of orange juice and lemonade, it came to around Β£76. I thought this was pretty reasonable considering the great quality food.
Well done. πππ
Crackin authentic mexican food. Paloma tequila cocktails just amazing. Great owners and staff. Friendly and attentive. Fresh ingredients and amazing home chipotle salsa and salsa verde.
We'll be back as Arnie says! π
This is such a great place to go after a hike or just a treat. We have been many times and this is the best ice-cream in the Lakes. Staying in Hawkshead we knew there was a shop near by for our ice cream needs. The ice cream shop was the only reason why we stayed in Hawkshead this time . The first time we went on this trip there was a queue but the young lad handled it very well. The ice cream is always so delicious and well worth the price( it's a great price to what you get in London) and you get a massive scoop. Always friendly staff and very clean and hygienic shop. Awesome ice cream even when it's raining
Had a really lovely meal here last weekend! Great food and nice atmosphere. Very close little place. Nice seafood options and love the foraged mushrooms!
