We discovered Prima Rosa by chance when cycling to Salhouse Broad. We popped in for a coffee and stayed for nearly 2 hours. My daughters were enchanted by all the sparkly things and the cakes were amazing. The cakes were so good that we went out of our way on our next ride to pick up supplies for the day.

Decided to book in for afternoon tea as a treat whilst staying in the area. Sent a message that was quickly replied to and voila, reservation made. Wow, what a gem of a place! Friendly atmosphere supplied by owners who were super accommodating to all our needs and wants. Amazing afternoon tea comprising of sausage roll/ homemade pizza/cheese sticks/classic sandwich selection/crisps/homemade scones/mini cakes/eton mess....a total taste heaven along side a delicious brew. Loved the quirkiness of this place. Its quaint but a delight to the eyes as they look at all the trinkets and gifts to purchase.

We found this coffee shop by chance during a walk. So decided to stop for a much deserved drink and cake. What a great decision to make, this place is a little gem of a find. We thought we would pop in to get a cold drink on our way home. The owner Judith was as lovely as ever, with nothing being to much trouble. Kev, her right hand man was there to dish up the cakes, which are all homemade fresh on the day and are absolutely delicious. There’s always too much to chose from! Walking in to Prima Rosa is like sitting down with family; the staff and customers are all so friendly and kind. We’re so lucky to live down the road from this little gem and will be back in again very soon!

So pleased I went to this lovely cafe in Salhouse with my sister today, I never knew it existed. Had a lovely egg sandwich with fresh salad and crisps, also had a piece of lovely ginger cake, which was so fresh, and a great tasting latte. This is such an unusual cafe as there are so many lovely little items, new and vintage scattered around that you can purchase if desired, all sensibly priced. The owner is such a lovely lady and made me feel so welcome. I can’t wait to return again very soon and recommend this lovely little find to my friends.

I once again found myself in Middle Earth and with trepidation I ventured further into the black land and Mordoor (Salhouse). I was badly in need of some refreshment after my epic journey. With a choice of one, I returned to the scene of previous food and beverage crimes against humanity and the dark forces. Slipping through the door into the unknown, Ugluk was behind the counter wearing a frilly pinny (Don't remember that one from the film?) Gollum, Mouth of Sauron and Grima Wormtongue were sitting huddled in a corner eating honey cake made by the local Beornings family (Beorn the "skin-changer") Great Goblin a hatchet faced little goblin type women was hanging around the counter. I ordered my pot of tea and cake from Mauhur (Mrs Nudd apparently but definitely not the Welsh mythical figure) The tea was terrible and my sponge was not the freshest. The wife of Ugluk constantly looks as if she is about the burst into tears though and quite frankly not a very nice person for someone in the hospitality business, being pleasant all seems like hard work? The myth for me is how this place stays open, terrible food, terrible tea and coffee, poor service and surrounded by miserable people and the crafts! Lots and lots and lots of bad bad crafts more than any human or mythical creature can take. Definitely a place to be missed although it could become it's own tourist attraction, Lord of the Rings 4 anyone? Peter Jackson are you available! God I love this place it really makes me realise what a wonderful World we live in, outside of Mordoor of course!!!

Desperate for eggs for last breakfast on Broads holiday, walked from Salhouse moorings to village with son and dog... Village shop closed down so waited for Prima Rosa to open.... Wait well rewarded! Super helpful and friendly staff sold us their excess eggs and we couldn't resist the lemon cake so 4 hearty portions were bought, the dog was fussed and given biscuits for being a good girl, and off we trotted back to the boat. Lemon cake had cooled completely by then... we had waited for it to cool before being iced.... I was lucky enough to be back on the broads last weekend and wandered up to the “village” My curiosity got the better of me and I decided to give Prima Rosa another chance, maybe my previous tongue in cheek review was unfair? I went back inside, sadly Edward was not around but Tubbs was in attendance along with a collection of people not long for this World. I ordered some coffee and took a seat. Tubbs and her crew held court discussing a mural on the wall of another Salhouse coffee shop, which had caused a bit of a stir amongst “the local people” Being honest I didn’t like this conversation which was personal and didn’t stay long. I find this place very unwelcoming and not for the “outsider” it does have a strange vibe and really is for “local” people and the older generation. The tea, coffee and cakes are very old fashioned and basic. They did have a topical Wimbledon window display though, although I am unsure whether it was tongue in cheek or serious? Whilst drinking my coffee I decided to take a look at the Prima Rosa Facebook page to try and understand this place. Wow, Take That's faces on cakes, priceless! That said it all. Regarding the coffee 'could it be magic' no it was still 1970's "Hot" and not very good. I am back on the broad next week and will I be 'back for good' probably not, but these people have stirred the Devil inside me! Oh and Tubbs it helps if you smile a bit, 'it only takes a minute girl" its called being friendly “Love Ain’t Here Anymore” I am back off to London to “relight my fire"

Prima Rosa is, pure and simply, the best. It is a delight to visit, for a quick cup of their wonderful tea and coffee and a slice of one of their homemade cakes or scones baked freshly on the premises daily. (There are new choices each day, including gluten free options) or for a light lunch - muffin pizzas, baguettes, panini's and ploughman's, all made freshly to order, plus homemade soup in the autumn/winter and other goodies such as crumpets, teacakes and biscuits. Add to this the fact that it is an Aladdin's cave full of lovely gifts and crafts supplied by local crafter's, plus newspapers, cold drinks, Ice creams, greetings cards and also a huge range of helium balloons, there really is something for everyone. It's a must for those visiting The Broads and Norfolk in general - you will not find anywhere else like this in the area!! What could be better than a lovely lunch, in lovely surroundings, served by the nicest people and whilst also being able to buy all those gifts to take home from your holiday or just to treat yourself? Found this little gem while out walking. We called in for a cup of tea and ended up with cake too. Tea for two is a large pot with traditional knitted cosy and dainty cups and saucers. A bargain at £2. I managed four cups and my husband three from this one pot! We planned to have a quick drink and leave but stayed an hour and managed some lovely home made cake too. (There is a wide selection with gluten free too - but these were not home made). The serve lunches too -panini, ploughmans and afternoon teas were on the menu. The gentleman (owner I guess) was friendly and helpful with time to talk. If you like minimalist decor this is definitely not for you as it is a paradise for lovers of craft-type gifts, candles, plaques (all for sale) provided by many local craftspeople. (I can’t remember how many but the owner did tell me). We will definitely be back when we’re next in the area. Thank you.

I was not impressed with the tea shop, it is very small and claustrophobic, I went in with a friend, I had tea and we both had cake, tea was OK but the cake was dry and not very fresh. It just doesn't seem to work in such a small space, the shop should either be a tea shop or craft shop. It just seemed like a lot of old tat. There was also a strange atmosphere in the shop, didn't feel very friendly or welcoming. If you are looking for a good cup of tea or coffee and local and delicious cake, pastries and coffee I would advise the quaint little shop and café next door called Radley's and they also welcome dogs.

Ideal for a lunchtime snack, afternoon tea etc. Set in the village of Salhouse run by the owners and friends it's a lovely small cafe. Plenty of interesting local gifts too. A great place to stop off after a stroll around Salhouse Broad about 20 mins walk away

Whilst on a walking visit to Salhouse Broad we popped in for a cup of tea. We were warmly welcomed by the enthusiastic, friendly owner and served at the table outside with a pot of tea in a tea cosy. A tea strainer was provided as it was real tea and not made with tea bags. I even got my paper in the shop as well. A real gem not to be missed if you are in the Wroxham area!

After visiting this craft shop/tea room, I am now quite a regular, bringing friends who enjoy it as much as I do. Judith's cakes are so delicious, not to mention the cheese scones!! You can also take some home too! There is always something new when browsing round the shop, it is a delight to visit and Judith, Juliet, and the others are so friendly and helpful.

I love this place. The welcome is very friendly, the owners are great, the cakes and coffee are delicious and the shop itself is so pretty and unique. If you're in Salhouse looking for lunch, coffee, cake, afternoon tea or a locally made gift, you should pop in here. Easily the nicest place on the Broads! I've been in three or four times now, whenever I'm visiting my mum.I will be back every time I'm here!

I spent another lovely afternoon at Prima Rosa - Martin and his daughter Alice made us feel so at home and the food and pot of tea was spot on. Nothing is to much trouble and to browse around the gist shop afterwards is just wonderful. Something for everyone ....Judith & Martin have worked hard to create this lovely little tearoom. It offers a lovely Norfolk Broads experience and a great way to spend 2 hours out on a Sunday afternoon. Go and try it out for yourselves

Had afternoon tea with friends.Service and food excellent. Spotlessly clean facilities. Lemon drizzle cake to die for. Nothing was too much trouble for helpful and friendly staff. Would certainly recommend to anyone. Crafts were unique and good to know they are made by local craftspeople.Just the sort of local business a conservation village like Salhouse benefits from.

As they say, real people, real food. The Sunday roast was delicious, in really generous portions and very fairly priced. We felt welcome and well looked after. 5 all round. A no-nonsense genuine traditional pub with a sports theme and plenty of screens if that is your thing.

Called in by chance when visiting Hoveton today. Had a cream scone and very good coffee. Proprietor very chatty and informative. There was a great selection of cakes and pastries as well as cooked food and proper coffee not just the machine varieties that many cafes use these days. Will call in again when passing this way.

An outstanding place to have something to eat. The food is excellent and staff are really friendly. I have regularly visited Scooters for breakfast and have found on every visit the food has been fantastic. I would strongly recommend that if in Acle that you visit Scooters as you would not be disappointed.
