The food is good but often run out of what you want. Please stock up, running out of fish is not great for a chip shop!

Not cheap, but can't be bettered. Cannot beat beef dripping.

When passing we always call in if Jason's open, Great food and the curry sauce is a must. 👍

OMG been in Norwich for 8 years and WOW!!!!! Best Fish and Chips we have had up here. The value for what we had was frigging good as have experienced other places at the same sort of cost and this one just smashes it. The chips were perfect, light in colour but firm, crisp and tasty whilst the fish was enormous cooked to perfection with a light batter which was also crispy and not overly thick. I was so impressed and delighted. Will definitely recommend and will be going back again. I did read someone's post complaining about soggy chips....well they would be when you douse them in curry sauce, dear lord, there is always one!!! If you are reading this then go and treat yourself to something really really good 👍

Friday night is Fish and chip night. Que out the door, but that's part of the course if you want good grub.

The fish and chips are the best by far,the service is the best,they greet you with a smile and helpfulness.theres always plenty to choose from.

We popped in on our way home after a day out. The staff were really friendly, the loaded chips were amazing! The portion sizes are huge. This is not our local chip shop, but will definitely be using this one as our regular one in the future. We even pass 3 on the way to get there, they are that good!

Not friendly staff at all. My daughter had a complete meltdown and refused to get back into her car seat, after 20 minutes of trying and her getting very distressed, I chose to walk home with her as we lived not far and it was the only way to ensure my daughters wellbeing was ok! This meant that I had to leave my car there for an hour. When I came back to collect my car I was met with a male staff member who was nothing but horrible to me! I tried to explain the situation and why I had to leave my car for an hour and was met with no ounce of compassion or understanding. He also parked their company van behind my car and refused to move it because I apparently had room to turn around (barely did) I was left in tears after he had spoken to me, which he saw and still no ounce of compassion or understanding for making a young women cry! Absolutely disgraceful for a small business in a small village. The chips were also hard and under done.

I’ve had jason’s fish and chips twice at venues and once from their shop in Rackheath. Their curry sauce is the BEST in norfolk they DO NOT dissapoint and lovely friendly staff ❤️

Popped in with family. Place was rather busy which is always a good sign.We was served politely and efficiently with a smile from the friendly staff and food was amazing as always never disappoints will be back again soon

Went to The Take That concert Carrow Road and had Loaded chips with bbq pulled pork, absolutely delicious,the lady serving was lovely too. Will definitely call into Rackheath when about Norwich .

Stopped here with my mum for a fish and chip lunch, the fish was fried to order, and the cod was the biggest piece that Iv seen for a long time, and also lovely fresh cooked chips. I couldn’t manage them all which is unusual for me!!!!! Staff could have been a bit friendlier but pleasant enough.

We visited the country park at Old Buckingham this evening and had fish and chips from the van…. These were the best fish and chips I have ever had.. seriously good. The girls on the van were lovely and friendly. Amazing

Just been to Jason's for tea , husband bought me pulled pork in BBQ sauce with chips , garlic sauce and small onion absolutely fantastic would recommend it to all , husband had fish and chips as usual brilliant and savoury spring rolls perfect

We had cod and chips from the van at Spixworth Village Hall on Friday evening. They were fantastic and the mushy peas were just like my Mum used to make.

Although we live 20 miles away this is our go to place for quality fish and chips. Fantastic portion sizes, chunky fresh white fish in crispy batter, tasty chips, eat in or take away, ample car parking and friendly staff. Keep doing what you're doing!

Been going for a few months to get my dad his fish and chips. Always a friendly service, freshly cooked food,and helpful with phone ordering ahead to then pick up. When It has been busy it hasn't been a long wait at all. I recently got myself some lunch from there, the food was absolutely delicious. It was still piping hot after 20 mins of driving home. Will be back!

Live in Norwich half a mile from a fish and chip shop but we choose to drive the 5 miles to Jason's. Always pipping hot , delicious and staff lovely.

My husband went in to get tea he had large cod , jumbo sausage etc ,I tried the new Mac and Cheese with pulled pork and b.b.q sauce onions etc First time I'd tried Mac and Cheese it was fantastic really great taste,I also recommend sweet an sour chicken and pulled pork in sauce all great .You couldn't be served by a friendlier bunch of staff so well done to you all

Jason's catered our wedding and the food was absolutely fantastic! The portions were generous, the taste was fantastic and the van looked wonderful outside in the dark. The battered brownie with raspberry coulis was a huge hit too.

Fantastic, will definitely be back....and they actually still.knkw the meaning of a large cod. Hanging over the plate like in the 1970s.

Takeaway food was lovely, always good there and staff helpful, polite ,they do i.e chip's topped with pulled beef with b.b.q sauce onions etc really good I would recommend that for a change from fish and chips

This place has a bit of a captive audience, which I assume is why it's so busy? But we've tried it several times since moving here and really don't like it. There is always a huge wait, and their opening times are a joke. I have wanted to quickly pop and get some chips only to find it closed. Why not get someone in to cover you when you go away? Such a weird way to run a business. The food is average at best, and I'll never understand why there are so many bad chip shops. It's basic cooking. But I go elsewhere to get fish and chips as Jasons just isn't worth the queuing. And it's also very expensive.

We were camping just down the road and fancied an easy bite on our first night. Jason’s was immense. Fish, chips, battered sausage, bread roll (bun/cake/bap, wherever you’re from) and curry sauce. Top notch grub and very happy campers.

I asked for light battered cod, was told don't do light batter all our fish is cooked properly, could not beleive how much of the batter was uncooked. Could not eat it uncooked batter had soaked into the fish.

If I could rate this business more than five stars, I absolutely would. Words cannot express how much this place means to myself and my children. Firstly, hands down best chips and range of items on the menu. Spam fritters are very hard to find not in coastal towns and Jason's has it all, loaded chips, chicken balls, camaber, burgers, the list is massive (check the menu! 🤤) More than this though, the business owners true kindness and authenticy is unparalleled. Myself and my children have faced many serious challenges in the past few years and they have truly, truly gone above and beyond and literally restored my faith in humanity - multiple times. The empathy and compassion they have showed myself and my children will never be forgotten and eternally appreciated. This business is so much more than a chippy (but fyi, best chips in Norwich, hands down, we travel to Jason's and will continue to travel no matter how far away we are, everything is fresh and the assortment they have is unrivalled. It is more like an upscale restaurant with incredibly affordable prices). The owners care about their customers, and this is palpable. I can guarantee you will not regret choosing this establishment as your chippy and you will become a lifelong customer of Jason's as myself and my children now are. A million stars from food to owners and staff! I've even just seen they might also start doing deliveries.. my waistband is not ready! Eat here, you won't regret it!

The best chip shop I have been to in Norwich by far. Great food with lots of different options and very reasonable prices. The loaded chips they do here change weekly and all I have tried have been so good!! The staff who serve and cook are all so friendly. Highly recommended this place 👍🏻

The food is generally good with a varied menu and the shop well appointed and clean. However they never seem to be open when you want it and reguarly close at short notice so often we have ended up going elsewhere. Also drop a star as the food is quite pricey.

You have not been open for a long time now. No info outside or anywhere. The web says your open but nothing. What's going on ?

Excellent fish and chips when open!!!! Unfortunately they seem to close frequently on a Friday and Saturday. The fish is large, good quality and worth the money.

Loved this chippy. Chips were amazing. Almost like they were twice cooked. Not greasy. Kids loved it. Everyone had empty boxes.
