Lovely dinner last night, food was delicious.

Had to edit from 5 star previous to a 3 star sadly Not good service today on 2nd visit, ie no service at all sadly.

The best roast we have ever had! The Yorkshire puddings are as big as your head. My son absolutely loved it and so did I. The service was wonderful and food was out of this world. Highly recommend! ✨👌

Had been hearing good things about this pub so decided to give it a try. The best Sunday roast we’ve had a good while. Food was superb and we had a lovely bottle of wine to go with it. Staff were all delightful. We will definitely be back and very soon.With food of this quality it will clearly only get busier as the reputation spreads so suggest booking is a must.

Wow, well what can I say, outstanding food and service. This is our favourite place to eat, we love coming back time and time again! The food is amazing and we look forward to every menu change as it just keeps getting better. Great service, attentive and friendly with a lovely atmosphere. Visited today after a recommendation about Sunday Lunch. Today was my 50th birthday and we visited with my family. Lunch was delicious all the family were impressed with the food even my mum who often struggles when out to find someone likes. All plates were cleared and dessert was also delicious. Presentation was also inviting. My only criticism was slow service but it was busy, it would've been nice to be asked if we wanted more drinks and asked if all was ok. Will definitely be back to try the normal menu. One of the waiters was extremely lovely definitely worth a visit

Fantastic food and fantastic people! This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had this year! Food was absolutely amazing. Me and my friend had a burger and a steak. The burger was full of flavour and the steak was cooked to perfection, on top of that the presentation was on point. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome, can’t wait to come back to this place would highly recommend!

Honestly was the best roast me and my partner have ever had! Portion sizes are really good and price is amazing for the quality of a roast you get. The staff were so friendly and service was quick! Such a lovely vibe. We have already organised to come back with family and have recommended to everyone we know!

Lovely food so could not give more compliments to the chef. Service was very poor food cold, wine dumped on table and after spending over 300 quid we had coffees pushed on us at 9pm and were refused a short. Very disappointed would certainly not return great shame

Recently visited the King's Head with my wife and parents for an evening meal. This was my first visit for dining since the new owners took over the pub. The quality of the food was very good and the service delivered by the staff was quick and attentive. The pub prides itself on the quality of ingredients and the presentation of food and this was evident. The pub is warm and cosy and had a good atmosphere throughout our visit The drinks were reasonably priced for a local pub, as a frequent pub visitor of the local area, I would say it was slightly cheaper than others - nice pint of Guinness. Visiting again in a couple of weeks for their Saturday Breakfast club and very much looking forward to that.

Visited with family for lunch on Saturday. This is my second visit and the food was absolutely delicious, definitely not your average pub food. Will definitely trying the Sunday roast next, would absolutely recommend a visit here

Called in for lunch today with friends, after seeing how big the portion of fish and chips were, asked if I could have the child’s portion. The waitress explained that it was more like fresh cod bites instead of a piece of fish, was pleasantly surprised that the chef made me a smaller fish portion, complete with tartare sauce, mushy peas and roasted lemon piece instead. Very touched by his thoughtfulness. Food was so fresh and delicious, well worth a visit

Excellent lunch service as always from the kings head. Have started to Have some working lunches here over the last 6 months since working in the area and never fails. The food is incredible (ribs and steak is fantastic) friendly efficient service. Highly recommend !

We had a stunning Sunday roast here, one of the best I’ve ever had. The food is on the slightly pricier side but this is totally reflected in the quality of the produce and the care taken to flavour and present the food to the highest standard. We were extremely happy and will definitely be back!

It said on website that it was open but when we arrived yesterday lunchtime looking forward to eating there for first time,it was all locked up with no note of explanation.

Easy five-star. House burgers are divine, but so are the deserts so save room. Friendly and welcoming. Easy wheelchair access direct from car park with disabled toilet. Thanks for a memorable meal.

We have visited this pub twice and each time the service, food and staff were excellent. The atmosphere is also pleasant and there is an outdoor area if the weather is fine. Will be going again.

Lovely stop for a drink. Beer garden well maintained, family friendly and dog friendly. Didn’t eat but other who had food seemed happy and menu looks great so will try in future

Really awesome pub food! Came here after work for dinner (on my own) really nice dog friendly place food was freshly made and the guys behind the bar are really great. Free WiFi so I can watch stuff on my phone lol. If I am back for work this will immediately be my go to

I can’t believe it’s taken this long to try this place since new owners. The food was delicious, seasoned perfectly. Service was friendly and at a good pace. Always worth paying that little bit more for quality food. Can’t wait to go back and try others options.

Another fantastic meal. Been quite a few times since the new people have taken over. Not so new now! 1st time I have reviewed though. I haven't had a bad meal. Each and every time, the service has been spot on and food never disappoints. Yes it's not cheap but I'm happy to pay for a lovely meal every time. The crispy chilli beef is so good 😋 and the triple cooked chips are the best ever. Keep doing what you're doing!

Living in Blofield is great to have somewhere within walking distance that's got it all: ▪︎ food top quality and well presented ▪︎ beer garden ▪︎ dog friendly in bar ▪︎ large selection of largers at °3c ▪︎ staff friendly and attentive ▪︎ live music on regular basis All the food is cooked using only local produce and seasonal which I think is fantastic, so many pubs and restaurants are looking to use meat from far away so it's nice to see local business supporting one another.

Came here for mothers day as wasn’t disappointed. 4 of us had the beef roast dinner and I had the battered fish & chips. The plates went back clean!! Lovely atmosphere, very relaxed and homely. Friendly staff and very attentive. Live music in the background too which was a lovely touch. 5/5 would recommend.

Thank you Kings Head for a very tasty lunch. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and the food was delicious, we all had the pork chop which was cooked to perfection and tasty, The service was very good and we mentioned it was my sister's birthday, when our deserts were served the chefs kindly wrote happy birthday on her plate and staff sang happy birthday which finished the whole experiences off nicely. I have eaten here a few times and the food has always been good. Keep up the good job Kings Head!

Albeit very quiet in there today You cannot fault there service and food Excellent choice and so so tasty ..had a chat with the very friendly chef and he's trying so hard with local produce ..They are all fairly new to this pub /restaurant but keep up the lovely food ethic you have and hopefully for you all it works well. we thoroughly enjoyed it all ....definitely will be back

Had a fantastic lunch here at the kings head. Vegetarian nut roast & the veggie burger. All freshly made, great atmosphere & great service would highly recommend- keep it up chef! Long awaited in Blofield!

My partner and I where travelling back from Norwich after a stressful morning at the hospital, we heard great things about about this place from friends who had eaten here, When we arrived we greeted with a warm welcome from a lady I believe her name was Hayley, we ordered our drinks, I had a Coke Zero no ice or slice as I was driving and my partner had a large glass of Pinot Grigio, We look at the menu we had a good selection and talking to lady, she was explaining the ethos of the place local and traceability and small producers, which nice to hear now a days and taking that on board the pricing is very good I believe, I had the in wood farm burger with bacon jam and smoked dapple and my partner had Southwell sea bass both cooked really well we didn’t have dessert, after a wonderful lunch and friendly host, are stressful morning was made easier going into the rest of the afternoon we will definitely be coming back soon!

Unfortunately was a little disappointed heard so many good things about it really wanted to try!.. family member birthday 10 adults 3 children we were booked in for 7pm only one person serving behind the bar serving food collecting in plates !!! Really could have done with a hand? The wait was not good the meal overall was just ok! We noticed No side plates bread on the table butter like rock can’t say I would rush back so disappointing! No atmosphere..

Excellent food, way better than previous owners

Booking a table was easy and they were able to be flexible with the time as we were running late. It's not the widest menu, but there were choices for all 3 picky eaters to choose from. Food was fresh cooked and really tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely return.

Had some good beers at reasonable prices but bar stools along the bar makes it difficult to order and there is no feeling of atmosphere 😞

We had a great meal - muscles to start were excellent then steak and a burger both very tasty and really well cooked. The staff were great and very helpful. Will be returning no doubt

The food was lovely. We had a bit of a wait between courses but the food was definitely worth waiting for!

Amazing meal in a pub with a great atmosphere. 4 of us selected dishes off the Xmas menu. My duck main course was sublime. 3 others had an amazing Christmas dinner. Huge portion of extremely well cooked food. 3 courses and could hardly move from the table we were so full. Wine at £17 a bottle for good wine is excellent value.

Just a 15minute drive from the crowds of the city to a cosy village pub with plenty of parking. We’ve been a fair few times now since the new owners took over and the food never disappoints. They often have live music too which makes for a perfect get together with friends. Today we visited for Sunday Lunch, absolutely delicious and the staff friendly and welcoming. This place should be popping up on every foodies social media feed. What a wonderful job you’ve done! Thank you so much!

Food expensive but good for a pub, good choice of beer.

Just visited the Kings Head for an amazing birthday meal with my family. All I can say is wow! Service, ambience and food were all amazing. The roasts looked awesome, so much so I have to return as I had major food envy (I had the burger which was amazing but I have to return to try out the rest of the menu). Please make a visit to this lovely pub - you won’t be disappointed!

Recommended this to friends after eating here a couple of times since it reopened under new management in the summer, so so pleased we did, we all had a wonderful meal, lovely food, and friendly staff that can not do enough. Will be back again very soon.

Gorgeous food that's a up market take on pub classics. A really good mix of being sophisticated but family friendly. Small playground in a fairly large beer garden which sometimes hosts live music. Highly recommend!

Was excited to see lots of people out after work and families enjoying themselves in a lovely busy pub environment and atmosphere. As a local pub should be. Was shocked by the number of empty glasses on at least three tables in bar area. And equally shocked by the service, I saw three bar staff around the corner and myself and others waiting to be served. I had to shout through to get someone’s attention. It was a busy night and surely bar staff need to be attentive to serve and one to go round and clear tables of all the empty’s.

Finally, we got round to sampling a little bit of their food. Fried chicken starter was absolutely on point... Crispy, tender, great sauce and well plated. For mains we had the chicken club sandwich and the Beef brisket & Ale pie with seasonal veg and mash. Chicken club sandwich came on sourdough with lovely spicy chicken and Bacon. I would maybe have liked to see lettuce and tomato in the sandwich, but it was still very good. The fries alongside were very good. The beef brisket and Chuck Steak pie was amazing. It had a puff pastry hat and loads of meat inside. Carrots were a little Al Dente, but the buttery mash was divine. Time between starter and mains was a little long (40/45 minutes), which did seem a little odd considering we were the only people in there at the time. We really liked it and will be back soon

Had seen the menu previously and thought was a tad expensive, but, the phrase " you pay for what you get " comes to mind. Food was absolutely delicious. Sunday roasts were tasty, and enough of them.. I opted for the Brisket pie and it was melt in the mouth. We will certainly be back and can't recommend high enough.

Table for 6 on Saturday night. The mussells were really good. Will be going back. Good to see The Kings Head thriving.

Visited here on a Tues lunchtime with my Mum and Uncle. The dining room is beautiful with very comfy chairs and we were made to feel extremely welcome by the staff. I ordered off-menu (steak, potatoes and veg) and it was no bother for the kitchen at all, infact they asked if I wanted the spuds boiled or roasted! The food was delicious. Would highly recommend!

First visit to the pub since it re-opened under new ownership. Neighbours have been raving about the food so we decided to give it a try. We weren’t disappointed. We had friends staying with us and booked for dinner on a Thursday night. The food was exceptional, on a par with the best we have had in the County. Highly recommend.

We had a family Sunday lunch and I was very impressed from the lovely warm welcome to the decor inside and most importantly the fantastic food, we all had roast beef cooked to perfection and seasonal veg was very tasty as our bellys were full we noticed the desserts are all home made so how could we resist , sticky toffee pudding was to die for also we had eaton mess which was very impressive , overall a thoroughly brilliant experience and i will be back very soon to try the evening menu

Went for a Sunday roast, well what can I say it was the best roast I have had in a long time. The beef was succulent and just melted, the vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection. All in all I will definitely be back to eat there. The restaurant has a lovely homely feel about it, and the staff were all very friendly and made sure that everything was good and that we were happy. Definitely worth the 5 star review, would give more if I could. Some might say pricey, however in my view you get what you pay for. Keep up the good work.

Went for an impromptu meal. Midweek. My mum has allergy to onion and is usually very restricted, sometimes to only 1 item on the menu. But these guys cook everything fresh to order and where able to adjust whatever she wanted.The food was tasty well cooked good size. I have to say service was a bit slow.. but there was only 1 person behind the bar and taking orders at the time we were there. She was lovely and very calm and friendly, considering how busy she was. Will definitely be returning.

The food/roast is really good, creative presentation and delivers on taste/flavours, kids meals are good in size and the cheese burger was brilliantly received. Desserts are ok but for the price lack the wow factor. Play area/garden really nice and suited for families/small kids. Bits that are quick fixes, kids desserts was told none, had ice cream served with a soup spoon and missing one ice cream portion- told the girl and 30 mins later still nothing. Went inside and I guess the manager took no responsibility- shame as the kitchen need a good front of house. Drinks- more expensive than London for tap lager, I can take that if it’s great but the Moretti tasted off so drank bottles, Peroni £5.45 a bottle wow. That’s the story here good food, lovely pub/garden, front of house lack leadership and what you would expect for the price, lines need cleaning. Worth a try and reckon it could get even better with a bit of care.

The new owners, driven by sibling chefs, deserve to be supported and succeed. Do not expect ordinary pub grub...priced accordingly but do expect high quality seasonal food, well presented with low food miles and with interest. Very impressed.

Oh wow. This was our first visit to this pub but it won't be our last. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and the refurb was great (new owners - I'm guessing they refurbished looking at some of the older review photos). We both had the Vegan Nut Roast and it was the best I've had, There was a lot of taste in that dinner from the Nut Roast and the sauce. We're pescetarians but of the non meat options available we fancied the vegan option and it was a great choice. The owners also booked a great guitar/vocalist too. All in all a great experience 👏👏

Fantastic food; the venison was some of best-cooked I've had in a restaurant and the Bakewell tart was superb. Also, Jax the local cat is a total sweetheart even if he does try to get into the bar.

Went with family to sit in the ample outdoor area which was equipped with equipment for younger children .pleasant afternoon and although we didn't eat on this occasion we saw the roast dinner being served to fellow customers and have decided that our next family gathering will be at a more appropriately timed so that we can eat there the meals looked appetising and a good sized portion

Ignore any reviews before the end of July 2023! (New management began then). I went for the opening weekend which was brilliant, had kids entertainment & live singers, great food! So much effort has been put into renovating the pub & it looks so modern...

Food and drink extremely expensive couldn’t believe the prices of the desserts so won’t come back unfortunately due to this I think their prices are far to high really and a lot of people won’t be able to afford to drink or eat here which is a shame as I’m all for supporting local businesses but wish them well

Brilliant food, a bit pricey but we had looked at the menu in advance so knew what to expect. The food was high quality and well presented. The new management have decorated the restaurant area nicely.

Visited opening weekend. July 2023. Bar staff asleep. We had chronic diarrhoea from the very overpriced beer. £6.50 / £7 a pint. Note to the owner. Beer prices in London are £6 a pint. Average food and expensive beer means failure.
