Amazing food full of flavours and taste, the owners are so friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere inside makes you feel like having a boogy whilst you enjoy your food. It's our go to and kendal towns hidden gem

As I walked in, I saw the inside was nice & clean, and the lady at the counter was lovely. Initially I was not entirely sure what king of food was available, but the the bowl with half rice & half salad on the lunch menu I eventually ordered was very tasty, and everything was freshly cooked. The chicken was not greasy and you can tell fresh & clean oil is used for frying chicken meat. I liked the food so I went back again a few weeks later for another lunch, this time with chicken grilled chicken thigh. It was equally delicious. I found the lunch was very good value too. Highly recommended.

Popped in today for some lunch to take home and the service was great and the food was delicious! Although we didn't sit in the seating area has a nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend 😀

I visited pakpak for the first time today, I originally went to try the curry noodles but didn’t realise it was on the lunch menu. I was pleasantly surprised after ordering the thunderbird burger instead which was exceptional, I have a great excuse to visit again for lunch!

Oh wow, what an absolute gem. Dining in, fried chicken strips, vegetables, avocado, and garlic mayo sauce. Delicious..! The price was excellent, too. I was so impressed I forgot to take a picture of the food, which was presented perfectly.

Pak pak was delicious! Such a light, flavourful batter combined with the homemade sauces (definitely try the pineapple sweet and sour sauce and paprika garlic mayo!).

The food is so delicious and satisfying, well presented and freshly cooked. The place is clean and cosy environment. The owner is very welcoming , friendly and accommodating. Worth the visit. We will definitely coming back. Highly recommended.

My second visit this time with my cousin from Glasgow Scotland. Everything about our meal was wonderful. The quality of the chicken was amazing. The food was delicious, can't fault them at all! The owners Isa & Chef Chris were lovely and very accommodating. I definitely recommend a visit. We will definitely be back, that’s for sure.

The Pak noodle was delicious! 😋 🗓️ June 2022 We had a Pakpak Chicken delight meal tonight and boy what a fantastic tasty bite it was super alright! 👍😁 All the food is fantastic and tasty but we especially liked the Asian chicken wings and Kimchi Coleslaw. We had a long day today travelling from West Sussex to visit friends and we enjoyed the food so much here. We wish this restaurant had a chain in Sussex!! Food is just so yummy and great service. 👍🏻

Delicious food! I would recommend everything on the menu! The inside of the restaurant feels cosy and homely and you will be well looked after. Also interesting art work on the wall, some by local students. The owners go above and beyond to look after their customers. 5 star rating well deserved.

We were looking forward to this after the review. All I can say is that it was okay. Not expensive at all but the quality was okay at best, nothing special. The chicken was of a good quality but I don't know why, we were just expecting more, sorry.

This place is absolutely Banging ! I’ve sampled most of the menu an obviously I have my favourites. The Chicken Burgers are amazing an the Parmesan strips the wings well I hogged a whole box of those to myself. We gave a massive order in the day before an we had an amazing banquet the portions are more than ample. Super friendly family run business so they get it. No chain no bull crap an all made from scratch. Definitely a must visit if you’re in the area or you’ve missed out. Will be my go to when I’m next there keep up the good work delicious 😋

Best fried chicken shop, not just in the area, but would give the best in the UK a run for their money. Truly amazing place to find, I was explring the town with mates and came across this place. Chris is a top bloke and the quality of the fried chicken is just superb.

I've eaten here twice now, both times delicious. Last time I had a fried chicken sandwich and this time a vegan fried cauliflower bite rice and salad box (which was really fresh and tasty). The chicken is nicely crunchy and not greasy like some fried chicken places. Service times all good, friendly people who run it, and I love the decor too! Very much worth a try if you're in Kendal and haven't been yet.

What a fantastic place to eat with such friendly service, food was freshly cooked and it was absolutely amazing. I was gutted we discovered this place on our last day in town. Chicken strips, burgers and the popcorn chicken WOW!!! I would consider going back just to visit Pakpak alone..... such a small world because we discovered the owner lived a few doors away from me back in London.

We both had chicken pieces with kimchi coleslaw side, and were very impressed with the meal. Buttered chicken strips, cooked from fresh in a special batter. The chicken tender & moist, whilst the batter was dry and super crunchy, and the batter turns into a wonderful texture whilst releasing a subtle flavour. There's selection of homemade sauces to make the flavours become friends together :) All at a reasonable price.

Visited Kendal for the first time today, we were looking round for good independent food places and couldn't find much. Until we stumbled on Pakpak, cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing fresh food cooked to order, beer/honey chicken was our favourite and the kimchi Coleslaw was lovely. Service was brilliant and the manager who was a gent, gave us some complimentary fries and buffalo sauce! If your in Kendal get yourself down there, you won't be disappointed!

Great food, burgers, wings and chicken strips were really tasty with a nice coating and amazing sauces, chips were amazing, definitely recommend the thunderbird burger, kimchi coleslaw, chips and garlic and paprika mayo, they also gave us free cans of drink, will definitely be going back if we are up this way again in the future.

Some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had - super crunchy. The popcorn chicken was great, although I would prefer it with a bit of spice as it was very sweet.

Had lunch here today with my dad. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious, the bread light and tasty and the chips crispy and fresh. My dad is in his 80’s and a fussy eater, but he demolished his sandwich and said he will go back by himself.

Had both as takeaway and sitting in and great either way. Atmosphere is brilliant sitting in, lots of great art! Food is always delicious, service is quick and accommodating. Absolutely a hidden gem and definitely deserves a visit!!

The Food is good and the Place is nice

Visited Pak Pak last Thursday after a long drive to see the Lake District for the weekend. It’s small, but charming and colourful. The lady serving was friendly and polite. Me and the person I was with also got into conversation with the chef who was lovely to talk to and made recommendations for our visit. We ordered the cauliflower wings, the Parmesan fried chicken, two customised rice bowls, and a mango milshake. It was all really tasty food. Only wish they had the mock meat option available that day! Thank you very much - loved our lunch 😌

I love this place! The food is mouth watering superb! Isa and Chris are always coming up with new flavours and ideas. My go to meal is a rice box but the wings and cauliflower pops are also high up on my hit list! The Asian cuisine specials give me FOMO when I see them on their instagram and Facebook pages and I’m usually front of the queue to try them out. I’ll happily be their taste Guinea pig any day! The food is amazing, the location couldn’t be any better, the service is exceptional. They cannot do enough for you. I’ve recently gone dairy free and they rose to the challenge and couldn’t do enough for me. Thank you for feeding me 😋 xxx oh and the sometimes do the stall in the market place and have been to gan yam brewery- so you never know where they might pop up!

Me and the mrs came to grab 2 pak burgers but upon arrival they only have one left which was understandable due to being absolutely amazing!! We had to compromise and had one burger with tenders instead and it was just as amazing!! Truly amazing food and awsome staff! Will definitely be back!! Thanks guys 🤩

First time going this evening. Food was very good! Chicken was crispy not oily sauces were great! I had bahn mi for the first time and it was lovely fresh salad really cut through the richness of the fried chicken and pâté! Would definitely recommend!

I cannot recommend this place enough! I have had so many lunches here and evening meals. My lunches I’ve had most of the menu! So delicious! Evening I’ve had a takeaway of wings, the coleslaw, and the Philippine dish. The owners are lovely and so accommodating. Nothing is ever any trouble. All dietry requirements are looked after and they go above and beyond to accommodate. Issy is most certainly the hostess with the most! She’s so warm and friendly and attentive. The food is cooked fresh and they always tell you how long it will be. It’s not long and they chat to you and keep you entertained. I’ve been to a couple of parties here too. We used the venue back in March to host a small charity event and Pak Pak we fantastic hosts. I love to food and the environment here. Certainly a hidden gem in Kendal that I wish more people knew about. It’s not just fried chicken, it’s so much more. That’s sounds such a cliché but it’s something Kendal does need. I’ve become such a regular that they try their new recipes out on me! I’m not complaining at all, trust me! I would advise all to pop down and pay them a visit. They are super!

Visited for the first time because I happened to pass by and the menu looked interesting. Ordered the lunch rice bowl with popcorn chicken and it was great - be sure to try the super flavorful chicken rice! Also love how the bowl can be customized, right down to the vegetables and sauce. Pretty reasonably priced as well. Rice portion is just a little small though, or maybe I just have a big appetite :P

We visited Pakpak in Kendal whilst on holiday. It was the best food we ate all week. The chicken strips were delicious, the coating crispy and the chicken wasn't dry! The popcorn chicken was the best we have had. We tried the sticky chilli beer honey popcorn chicken, the sauce was excellent and we would recommend.
