The best restaurants serving Thai food in South East

Food is great but service is a little patchy. Not enough choice for vegetarian or vegan and new food was tipped on top of old food in the warmers.

Kemptown Thai is an excellent Thai takeaway. The quality of the food is fabulous, but it is pricey, it's restaurant prices. Worth it for a treat though. I particularly recommend the moo grob (roast pork). It's a pity they no longer do the papaya salad, but you can't have everything.

Tolles Abendessen, super Geschmack zu einem fairen Preis und super freundlicher Service. Ich werde sicher wieder kommen!

I went inside to collect my food and order and waited inside... when I got home and tried it I have to say it's the best Indian food I have ever had you can tell it's really been cooked properly and the ingredients have been really thought about. Highly recommend!

Food was dreadful. The rice looked like it had been microwaved and I have no words to describe it! Flavour was definitely lacking sadly. The service was efficient and staff friendly

We ordered 4 delivery dishes, inc Tom Yum soup and coconut soup and a mixed starter and couldn’t eat three of them because they tasted so bad. Only the pad Thai was edible, and only just. Food looks nothing like the pictures. Such a waste of money and everyone still hungry.

We had the 12 course Thai meal for lunch (with a voucher) and it was fabulous, all the plates were ideal for sharing they were presented well and tasty, if you get a voucher it is well worth it.

Excellent food. Lovely setting . Good friendly service. I love this place. We had the Holy Basil Pad Thai and Mixed Starter.

Disappointing ! Walked in at 5.30 and the restaurant was empty, asked for a table for 4 was asked if we’d reserved a table which we hadn’t , the young girl serving showed us to a dark dingy table and when we said it was too dark could we sit elsewhere we were told no they were fully booked and this was the only table. We said no thankyou and promptly left and ironically had a lovely meal elsewhere. Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get that far but people forget how important a warm welcome and good service is sadly. Wouldn’t return on that basis

Food is great and staff are friendly, just it sometimes it can take a bit long to get a drink if your not sitting down for dinner.

This place is a hidden gem, delicious food and ambience. It’s inside the pub which was strange at first but it works, as it’s sectioned off well. Would highly recommend the beef panang! 👌

I collected a take away, when I go home I discovered they got my order wrong so I phoned to see if they would correct it. The young woman who answered the phone did apologise but said I had to drop the food back. I didn't have a lift any more because my partner had gone out it was late and I have small kids, so I couldn't. She said ‘Oh well there is nothing I can do’. I said ‘Well you could send around a delivery driver with my actual order, and then they can collect this one and take it back. This was obviously to hard to do because she said that couldn't happen. So I said that I wanted a refund because they had not fulfilled my order correctly. They said she couldn't give me a refund because I would eat the food anyway, to which I replied I wouldn't if you got a delivery guy to come and collect it. She then accused me of being rude! So, now I have food that I don't like which I've paid for, total waste of money. I feel totally ripped off! 
I won't be ordering from them again. I feel sorry for the business owner because their staff are losing them money in lost repeat business.

Visited here on bank holiday Monday. I ordered Beef massaman curry which is one of my favourite meals. I was so disappointed, the sauce was so thin and the amount of beef could be put on one tablespoon. We never saw the man who took our order again. No one asked us if our food was ok . This used to be a good restaurant so I can only put it down to being a BH and limited staff , but then we were the only people eating in there so they were not even busy. Will not be eating there again.

The whole family’s been coming here for years and the food is always good. Very consistent with the flavour, hot food served on hot plates and some nice editions added now and again. The staff are very knowledgeable about the food, delivered in good time and always with a smile. ( the owner should learn from them because I don’t think I’ve seen her smile once) If the restaurant had proper menu’s, not those grubby take-a-way ones and the lighting could be dimmed a touch it would be a five star review. Smile and turn the lights down.

Portions reasonable - always tasty - good value for money - good service - nice location ( Shame ADC built the berlin wall outside so no river views anymore)
