Went here with family recently. Service was very good and the food really lovely. Would come here again for dinner. It’s a little tucked away so not easy to find.

Surprised my wife with a romantic night at Wokingham Giggling squid was met at reception by a very charming Thai lady who directed us to our table We had a mixed starter and a few drinks my wife had sea food and I had duck confit which very tasty the service was excellent looking forward to another visit

Christmas eve and what a way to start the festive period... we had a great meal with everyone delighted with the food, the beer, the wine and our service. Can't really complain. I had the jungle curry and it was delicious and I am great fan of the mad squirrel beer.

Good service but sat by a drafty door which delivery staff and customers were allowed to smoke just outside of with smoke wafting back into the restaurant, playing hell with my asthma. Very unpleasant. Don't want to sit there again as a regular customer.

I had a lovely meal here, the food was delicious and the cocktails are great. The service was definitely the highlight of our night as our server Sareeya was exceptional! She was attentive and friendly, and even provided a wonderful birthday suprise which made my entire day. Will definitely be back in future, and hope Sareeya’s excellent service is recognised.

We ate at the giggling squid Friday evening and it was lovely, the staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and we wouldn't hesitate yo return.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, particularly for a chain restaurant and with a varied menu to choose from. Everything we had was tasty. Really enjoyed the mixed starter selections and the currys were great too. I'd certainly visit again and it was nice to see actual Thai staff working in the restaurant.

The weather was horrid but we walked there anyway and had a lovely evening. It was very busy but the waitresses had a friendly smile for everyone and our dinner, three courses, was absolutely delicious. Our favourite restaurant in Wokingham !!

Ordered take away. Was missing a rice. Called the restaurant, they said it was deliveroos problem. Deliveroo said they could not help. Manager seemed dismissive/didn’t care. Food is good, but frankly there are other Thai restaurants in Wokingham that are just as good but with decent service.

First time dining at a Giggling squid, had great service and was looked after perfectly by Marissa. Service was at the next level and served with a smile that was only complimented further by the various and bold flavours of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Not a good experience!. Service was slow, food for the noodles pad Thai’s had VERY little chicken meat in them. Appeared they getting out the door the take out orders rather than our order. Normally like this place but overpriced for poor quality portion of meat & gone downhill . Better stick to a curry house next time.

We’ve been here a few times. It’s a nice place with good food and service. Last time we went service was very slow but I will say this was not the case the other times so just a one off I think. The room is nice but don’t sit near the door on a cold day cos it opens and the wind comes straight through and hits the front 10-ish tables. Overall a great place and recommended.

We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the food was very nice, the staff were so lovely, even though the restaurant was full, it didn't feel overcrowded, very good ambience.

Wow what a fantastic restaurant the food was outstanding. We will be 100% returning. The customer service was on point. It’s was spotless and clean. The smells and aromas from the kitchen were unbelievable.

The food in this restaurant is below average whilst I have to say it is one of the most expensive Thai restaurants I've ever been in... and I've been in a few. But the worst thing is the service which is truly utterly appalling. it was very quiet when we were there and I can now see why.... because there was plenty of staff but you have to call them for absolutely everything. Nobody comes to your table to check if everything is okay ...do you want any more drinks ... sweet...etc etc etc. They all just prefer to stand around chatting to each other in a corner somewhere. The food is tasteless and bland….the beer prices extortionate and I can’t stress enough how bad the service was. It truly was utterly appallingly bad service for which they add an automatic tip for themselves. Utterly disgraceful….and never again will we go anywhere near the giggling squid in Wokingham and my recommendation to all would be to stay away as well ...don't waste your time or your money on this dreadful place.

Great service and location. Extremely hit and miss dishes. The sticky chicken is one of the most repulsive meals I've ever eaten. It was so salty that I think my body suffered from osmosis.

Been a few times here and always find it pretty good without being exceptional. Staff are responsive and pleasant and the food is always good quality. Not top end Thai, but then, it's not supposed to be! Will absolutely return again (and again).

The food tastes old , it's not good at all. Couldn't eat our takeaway, even the rice is watery.. everything tastes weird

Bad service, I am so hungry and finished my Pad Thai quickly. Once they saw me finish and ask if I need something else I said no they bring me the bill immediately which I didn’t really ask for the bill yet. And Music is too loud.

We went to explore this place on a special occasion and we really enjoyed the ambience, quality of food and service. The salt and pepper squid and pork Dumplings were superb delicious and must try, the main course was also good in taste and in quantity. Thanks and would like to visit again.

Ok for a takeaway. Annoying packaging not oven ready e.g. foil and often plastic used. Green Thai Tofu curry doesn't travel the best for takeaway in their plastic twin tub that's more for the restaurant convenience than the customer's. I transfer it, it often arrives with sauce coming out. I always re heat it. It is delicious. A great product but don't degrade it and send in a twin tub. Partner loves his food. Great samosas. The best. Pricey at £ 60 for a takeaway for 2.

The restaurant was busy but there seemed to be plenty of staff but no organisation as to who was responsible for our table . So we were asked the same questions several times. The cocktails were good but part of our first course didn’t arrive and we had to make several attempts to get someone’s attention to get it. I asked ( as per website advice I think) about the spiciness of a dish and was told it wasn’t spicy. It was! It was a duck dish and was also very fatty and little meat for almost £18. I wish she had checked if she wasn’t sure or maybe suggested that I go with a dish without chilli.

Not bad. I thought £70+ for lunch without alcohol was quite expensive for 2 of us. The good bit was the new street food starter which we should of had 2 of. I chose chicken and cashew nut stir fry however you have to order the rice/noodles separately. My partner chose a fish dish which was not good, everything fried with no sce which made the meal very dry. Waitress was kind enough to offer us a sce to go with it but tbh she should have recognised that we weren't enjoying it and offered a replacement I think.

Average standard Thai food. No spectacular dishes. It is a chain and it shows. I went for my birthday with family and friends, There was a constant stream of delivery drivers coming in to the centrally located reception area, and going out. Not only constant commotion, but also leaving the front door open as it didn't shut on its own, with a cold draft coming in. Expensive for mediocre and fairly standard Thai dishes. Will not be going again.

I visited this establishment with the wife and baby, the food was very tasty with good sized portions so we were both pleased with that. Enjoyed the Thai wine, but did feel that it was slightly overpriced for the quality of the food. A bit more seasoning and this may be a different story! Overall, I will go again, but I will not be desperate to go as I was this time around. Would recommend the red curry!

Requested a delivery and I was never more disappointed with a delivery service. The sizes of the meals are just ridiculous small, called the restaurant and all they said was “sorry”. This was definitely the last time I’ll order something from this restaurant.

Stopped for lunch. Easy to book a table online. Customer service was great! Noodles and vegetable spring roles taste good. Had to ask for no fried egg in noodles. Overall, it was a great restaurant.

I recently hit up this Thai joint, and let me tell you, it was off the charts! The food? Unreal. Seriously, I could eat their Pad Thai every day for the rest of forever. And the service? Top-notch, especially from the managers. They were on it like nobody's business. But here's the thing: a couple of the young waiters seemed more into their own convo than their job, which didn't scream professionalism. Still, overall, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Only very minor bit is when the restaurant is busy it gets hard to hear each other! The service was top notch, attentive and communicative always checking we were ok.

Manager of this shop very kind, I went there with my partner for his part time job interview and I also ordered food there, when I was on the call and doing my work, one of the staff came straight to me and impolitely told me to move out with not good tone, I’m not sure because I come here with my partner for job interview but I did order food here as a customer, but she treat me differently, I can’t say anything at that time but it’s not good experiences to be treat like that.

Excellent first trip to Giggling Squid in Wokingham on Saturday night. Place was packed which gave it a great atmosphere. Did mean the service was slightly slower than we would have liked, but being picky, and definitely wouldn't have traded it for the good atmosphere. Food was delicious and will definitely be back!

Beautiful vegan meal for two. The food is so fresh, served on lovely china and very filling. The service was wonderful, such a beautiful woman who looked after us, she was a delight. And we loved the tea! We will definitely be back as soon as we can - thank you so much.

We really enjoyed our visit here. Lunch came to about £35 excluding drinks and we were absolutely stuffed full. Friendly waiting staff. Lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent with just enough choice. For a chain restaurant - but having never been to a Giggling Squid restaurant - I can highly recommend. We will certainly be back.

Popped in for midweek dinner after our wedding to enjoy our honeymoon before heading back to work! The service was friendly and accommodating however the food this time let us down with our visit. Our starters didn’t have much flavour and our mains weren’t the best still membrane on the squid and was chewy and the fish tasted really fishy and chicken strips were too greasy and tasted like oil needed to be changed! Our visit wasn’t what we expected this time around but would happily book again in the future to try again as we love Thai food! At the time of our visit there was also a few bigger tables which were clearly getting more attention which we understand but need to remember the smaller tables too. The service we received was nice and the gent servicing us understood the issues with our food and generously took some money off the bill for us! We will return in a few months but not anytime soon!
