Consistently the best fish and chips in the area and friendly service.

we had a meal tonight 27/9/2024 7pm from kings and it was absolutely awful. we ordered Thai green curry, boiled rice, portion of chips and sesame toast. well when we got home and opened our cartons. what a big disappointment. the rice for £4 was very poor value for money, the sesame toast was cooked in oil that was too hot or dirty oil, the chips were dry and awful. as for the Thai green curry it was tasteless, far too many undercooked bamboo shoots you couldn't chew. chicken was like rubber. all I can say is since mandy has left, kings is not the kings I knew back then. never again will I buy food from there after tonight. good riddance that's all I can now say. very sad 😔 😟 🙁

I would give it six stars if I could! Bryan is so kind and accommodating to customers making the experience so enjoyable. The food is unreal and is definitely the best Chinese I’ve ever had. And top it off, they make their own home-made chilli oil which is delicious! Thanks Bryan, I can’t stop coming back! :)

A small restaurant with a simple menu, but everything was very fresh and served quickly. Delicious juicy fish. It's worth taking a short walk from Kew Gardens for lunch

Excellent haddock and chips, freshly cooked while you wait. Quite expensive but very good quality so definitely worth a try.

This is by far the best Chippy. The staff are awesome. Always happy, smiling. Very polite friendly. We always leave a tip as we love you so much. You should all be so proud as you are amazing! Best wishes Ian xxx

This is the first time we have been to this restaurant and will definitely be going back. The food was amazing, freshly cooked and the staff really friendly and nice. If you want authentic Thai food, this is definitely the place.

Lovely fish and chips perfect and delicious. Served by a lovely lady. Great portion size and reasonably priced. Chips were cooked light and fluffy and the perfect colour. The batter on the fish was excellent and the fish was superb.

Lovely Fish and Chips best in Torpoint, it's the beef dripping that makes the difference . Always popular, Frank knows his regulars and the young staff are friendly and efficient.

I called in here with my grandsons recently. It was at their recommendation, they are 8 and 10 yrs old. 😃 It was like going back in time to a period decades ago. The decoration was as I would have expected in my youth, bright, sharp, practical, and spotlessly clean. There is plenty of room to sit comfortably at the tables, not cramped like many places. They even give you chairs that can move and adjust for your comfort, not fixed and rigidly tied to the table. Just like the old days. The atmosphere was warm and friendly with a good rapport from the owners. You just can't beat happy smiling faces from behind the counter to make you feel wanted and valued as a customer. Would I recommend, most definitely, I'm going back to try their fish, which looked delicious. 😋 PS. We had better portions and more to eat than at KFC in Silverhill on our last dine out. Plus, it was cheaper.
