Very good price for fish and chips and the staff were super friendly. The fish was a little bit under done, batter was still cakey on the inside, and hadn't been rested at all, so it was quite greasy. Chips were good though and curry sauce was nice and thick.

I have been to this place on many occasions and each time it’s never disappointed me! The portions are plentiful but the fish is the Creme de la creme of it all ! Finger licking good and tasty The staff are really friendly and prices are reasonable too I went to a famous chip shop on Aldgate and was really disappointed which prompted me to do this write up about this little hidden gem! Guys you won’t be disappointed so please try it out

Worth it just for the friendly staff / owner, as much as the excellent food. It's also a bargain - £8.50 for cod and chips would be generous anywhere, never mind inner London. Never had a bad meal from here.

Very warm welcome, the service is efficient. Bring cash to pay. A distributor is not far away which makes purchasing easier. The prices are very reasonable, 8.5 for the regular fish and chips and it wasn't bad. The decoration is not extraordinary, let's be honest.

Amazing fish and chips. Deliveroo messed up my delivery and the staff were so lovely here and re sent me another portion even though it wasn’t their fault. They were understanding and so helpful and lovely workers!!!

Wonderful whole cod fillet, perfectly fried, crispy on the outside, juicy and flakes nicely. Both fish and chips well drained and not dripping with fat. Friendly staff. Price in relation to quality very good.

So friendly and down to earth, and best of all, this is what British fish and chips should taste! So juicy, crunchy and tasty! Can't wait to come again.

Every Friday I enjoy lovely fish and chips, usually haddock. Last week I had Rock, chips, mushy peas and a Wally. Must say it was cooked to perfection. Staff are brilliant. Nice clean restaurant. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend

Been eating fish and chips in the Boston, MA area my whole life. Best fish and chips evah!! Not greasy. Right out the fryer. Amazing taste and texture. The chips were great. Had the malt vinegar. And it was excellent. Price for a cod and chips and a sprite was 10 pounds. The guy is enthusiastic about the food and is friendly. Lot of die hard locals eating here. Truly the real deal. Can’t go wrong. I wish I lived closer!! 😃

My local 'chippy' and when I fancy fish and chips I'll wait until another day rather than go elsewhere if they're closed! Food is always lovely, tastes fresh, not greasy, reasonable price and friendly service. Between us we've had most of the fish types and all are good, as are the chips and other extra. Cash only, but there is a free to use cash machine round the corner. Can eat in if you want to as well.

Great place to eat, being a vegetarian it's perfect as cross contamination is taken care of. This was the first time I have been to this place; I was there on 10/05/23, ordered chips and tea to dine in; when I went to sit down I accidentally spilt the tea on the table and on the floor, the staff was so nice, she quickly cleaned it all up and made me another cup of tea. If anyone is thinking of visiting this chip shop, I would highly recommend it as it's a very spacious and clean place where you can sit and enjoy the food. I would like to once again thank the staff that had to clean up the spillage.

Walked in, waited 10/15 minutes why I was ignored and the tickets for online orders took priority. This isn’t good enough. Once someone had collected there order, the staff went “cash only” at no time was this mentioned they had to leave the food to go and get cash. As I proceeded to leave I was then asked to where I was going? Not normal for here for a start. But once you start prioritising online orders rather then actual customers in the shop. Never get my custom again. Not even online.

Super friendly owners, seems to know the customers well. We got the regular cod and chips. The cod tasted crunchy on the outside yet soft in the inside and the chips were not too salty. PS - they do NOT accept card, so bring cash if you’re planning to visit!

As an American, it was an eye opening experience to try proper English fish & chips. We tried cod & chips although there are numerous other options. We decided try the recommended vinegar & salt. The owner was extremely helpful & nice. Make sure to bring cash as the card machine was not in operation during our visit.

A gem of a fish shop in South East London! Great pies and great fish and chips! What's a stand out for me is the taste of the cod, this tasted almost milky which is very different & very flavourful! Definitely will be my go to place in this neck of the woods!

Local fish n chip shop, good quality fish with friendly staff

We’ve had takeaway from here a few times and it’s always been absolutely lovely but today it wasn’t up to scratch. The fish batter is usually light & crisp but today it was just not up to par. Very stodgy & heavy. I’m hoping it was just a one-off & normal service will be resumed next time. Here’s hoping my next review will be 5-star. Will add a review on our next visit - hopefully it will be back to their normal fabulous standard

An amazing little gem hidden just off Southwark Park Road. Delicious food, and good quantities. Staff were amazingly friendly, kind and polite. Will be returning here, for sure. The site is cash only, but there's a cash machine 30 seconds away at TSB.
