My local fish shop. Even before I moved to the area I used to come here. Such a great reputation and excellent service and food.

Ordered cod. Smelt like a fish market when I got home. Swiftly binned!!

The fried fish is good but you have to pay extra for condiments.

I lovedddd the fish & chips here!!!!. The fish is soft covered in thin crispy batter. Wouldnt have come by if i wasnt doing laundry next door. Such a hidden gem!

We visit London for the first time, after sightseeing, we went to many different places for food, but one thing London famous for is fish and chips. We had to try one, but my wife and daughter don’t like fried food so I had to find some place for me to eat. Near our hotel there’s this place called long lane fish bar, and they only accept cash so I had to get some money from the ATM. The price is quite reasonable and I took out instead of eating in. The fish is very crispy and tasty with tartar sauce (had to pay $.50), there’s no vinegar although the server squirt some in the fries. The fries are excellent, very fresh potato IMO. I love fish and chips, remembered H salt chain restaurants in the state that closed down many years ago. Well, I came back again on Monday but it closed, couldn’t have some before we went home.

At our last day in London we wanted an original Fish&Chips - and we got it here, freshly handmade and very tasty!

good traditional food, but in this day and age where most people seldom need to or bother to carry cash it is a real pain that they dont accept cards.

Lack of tables n chairs to dine in , this place serves authentic fish n chips with large portion that will fill in your tummy to the fullest, and beef of all at an affordable price. If you're in town around the Borough Street, pls do give them a visit. The boss is super friendly too. 🙌

Clean and tidy Fish N Chip shop. Usual selection of batter assortments to select from. The service was really quick, even in a really busy Saturday 7pm queue. The service was also friendly. I'm afraid the photo doesn't do it justice but when we got home the large Cod and Chips was crazily big. I mean so much for food for the price and it was really delicious. I would definitely be coming back in some future time.

I had my team training day and we ordered about 10 cod and chips among other things and everyone ate well. The food was fresh and delicious. Thank you and we will definitely be back 😘

You don't come here for the atmosphere, there is also no seating. You come here because it is seriously the best chip shop around.

Great Fish and Chips at exceptional value and service! £5.30 for a small cod which was more than a decent size and they threw in a few chips on the house. Best chippy in the manor. Cash only. Cash Machine is adjacent. Highly recommended. Will be back v.soon

Everything about this place screams authentic and delicious! This was my go To place in Uni and now anytime I go back To London I have to stop by. There’s a nice park nearby as well that you can take your takeout too.

Yes, and yes . The chips are just the right combination of soft and crunchy. Serve yourself salt and vinegar, which i recommend the gerkin vinegar (clear one). The premises are clean and staff friendly. Forget you fancy pants, coffee, and cake shop ( which are just up the road). Get yourself a chip roll and a cold drink from here. You will not regret it. This is comfort food personification. I would have only been made better if it was raining. ( you can only understand this if you were to do it) whilst eating your food, take a left out the door walk a few metres and see a secret London history hiding in plain sight in the shape of WW2 ARP (rescue services) stretchers re purposed as fences (see picture)

Very good example of traditional UK fish and chips shop. The food is deep fried but not greasy. The people working here are friendly and welcoming as well. I recommend trying this shop if you are a visitor who wants to try some food not aimed directly at tourists.

Very nice traditional fish and chips shop. They made some restorations. The previous look was better but still it’s a good place. The taste of fish and chips is the same and delicious. They used to serve it with wood fork but now they use plastic fork now. Bermondsey feels you happy with Long Lane Fish Bar

Spicy chicken is amazing. Everything is amazing there. You have to go. Prices are very reasonable. One of best kept secret in London.

We paid around £15 for two small cod and chips and a plain sausage. It was all amazing and the staff were lovely! We will be coming here again!

We've been there directly bevor the first covid lockdown and bevor they renovated. It was already great! Now We've been there for the second time and in my opinion it's still simple but the best fish and chips we ever had. My Girlfriend has had the vegetarian tofish and I had the cod with chips. The portions are really big and the price is more that fair. The Guys that work there are really friendly and the food ist just awesome. Just go there!

Surprisingly, seems to have gone downhill after the recent refurb. Several visits over the last few weeks, have seen chips that have been obviously reheated leftovers (last portion were completely inedible). Battered sausages also look like they’ve been re-battered from the night before.

Been using this Bar for 35 years and in that time things have remained the same. However very recently I have noticed this prices have increased a fair bit which is very disappointing to see. I can't understand why its so expensive now but i guess thats just the way things go. Anyways I refuse to pay the price so will go elsewhere from now on. Always loved the staff here and for that five stars. as for price; one star.

I have always tried to eat here when I am in the local area. Fish and chips is always consistently good. The two gentlemen always happy to fry something fresh for you. Really like the chips here. Chunky and large portions. Always order the curry sauce and mushy peas as add ons. Very popular with the locals

Just pop by this restaurant for late-night food. The cod fillet is tender and freshly-made with crispy skin. The staff also gave me little portion of chips for free.

The amount of food is good enough for one person. The haddock was good.

Nosotros caminamos hacia allá. . . Es un lugar pequeño pero la comida era genial! Tuve el pequeño pescado y patatas fritas y estaba delicioso (no recuerdo si tenía bacalao o eglefino, lo siento!). Era mi primera vez en Londres, así que estaba muy emocionado de comprar pescado y papas fritas, ya que siempre escuché sobre eso. Este lugar no decepcionó. Pagué menos de 10 libras por una comida completa y definitivamente estaba lleno y contento después. No había comido la mayor parte del día debido al viaje, y el tamaño pequeño era abundante porque se obtiene un pedazo de pescado de buen tamaño y una gran porción de papas fritas. Mis amigos obtuvieron el tamaño más grande y no pudieron terminarlo. Los 2 caballeros que nos sirvieron fueron muy agradables. El restaurante también se veía muy limpio. Pagué extra por la salsa de curry y también estaba muy sabroso! Si estoy de vuelta en el área, definitivamente regresaría a este lugar y lo recomendaría a otros.

What to say about this old skool fish & chip shop. The lunch time special for a fiver is just fantastic, just the right size, chips are fried perfectly, crisp and golden with a lovely fluffy white interior. The fish. The perfect partner is always so tasty, the fillet lovingly encased in wonderful crunchy batter. I never get fed up visiting this place, so much so that I normally do at least once a week.

Guaranteed fresh chips alongside the fish and battered sausage for full measure.

We were staying at a nearby AirBnb and I’m so glad we found this place! For £8.50, got a HUGE portion of cod fillet and chips (both very crispy and delicious). It can easily feed 2 people, maybe even 3. The two men working there were very friendly and it’s always great supporting small businesses!

I had heard good things about this fish and chips shop and was looking forward to trying it but when I did it was very dissopointing to say the least. But the worst things was charging one pound seventy pence for the smallest tub of Curry sauce. The other was the miserable faces of the two men serving, if you're not happy serving the public then become traffic wardens.

Qué decir de esta vieja tienda de pescado y patatas fritas. . .La hora del almuerzo especial para un fiver es simplemente fantástica, del tamaño correcto, las papas fritas se fríen perfectamente, crujientes y doradas con un hermoso interior blanco y esponjoso. El pez. La pareja perfecta siempre es tan sabrosa, el filete está envuelto con amor en una maravillosa masa crujiente.Nunca me canso de visitar este lugar, tanto que normalmente lo hago al menos una vez por semana.

This fish bar, in my opinion is the best around for miles. I'd recommend anyone wishing a fish supper on a Friday or any other day to visit them.

Been going here for nearly 40 years (long before all the yuppified toss pots moved in) and still the same dudes behind the counter and i swear they havent aged a bit. This place is a must for fish and chip lovers, be warned one portion is enough for two people, unless you're Big Daddy.
