The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Everything was flavourless the sausage needed cooking more the kebab meat greasy with no flavour at all an the chip were soggy best thing there was the salad put more effort in an put your prices down if gunna sell poor quality food

Decided to visit upon recommendation to get fish and chips for the family. I can hand on heart say this was by far the worst takeaway I've ever had. The food was honestly disgusting. The 'large' piece of cod (for £9) was soggy and tasted awful. Saveloys were inedible and chips barely passable. I know there will be people who like this place however I'm not one of them and never leave reviews as I'm not fussed with this kind of thing but think I should share my awful experience. Owner (or one of the workers) friendly enough but I visited for a tasty fresh meal & that's certainly not what I got. Sorry but don't waste your money. Very very disappointing.

23 of us booked to have our Xmas meal here on a Friday evening. We all pre-ordered our menu choices and a deposit of £250 was paid. The drinks seemed reasonably priced for Brighton which was a bonus. We were due to eat at 7.30 pm and moved to the restaurant. Our various starters arrived at 8.15 pm and were at best luke warm. These were consumed and we waited for our main courses, we waited and waited. Several more trips to the bar and eventually after lots of chasing the mains started appearing at approximately 9.30 pm. The beef short rib arrived cold so was returned and never seen again and when questioned we were told they were making it fresh! I returned my meal to the kitchen as it was now too late for me to eat without making myself poorly, a few others from our party had to leave before the food had arrived due to getting home for family commitments and not one person received a satisfactory meal. I felt incredibly sorry for the staff who obviously had no control over the debacle it had become. When we complained and said we would not be paying the balance as the food was not worth it but they could keep the deposit we were asked if we would at least pay for our starters! No apology was received and we suggested that our deposits would more than cover the starters. We didn’t bother hanging around for pudding and all left feeling extremely disappointed at what we had just experienced and agreed it was the absolute worst dining experience any of us have ever had. Needless to say I will never ever return to this venue again. It used to be such a good place for food and being a true Brightonian I have visited many times in the past. They really stood be ashamed of themselves and need a little more customer service training. Thanks for ruining a bunch of very hard working NHS’s employees night.

It didn't last!! The most awful fish we have had. The fish was overcooked and totally dry, the fish had all dried up and was barely edible. The chips were luke warm. A waste of £14. On the previous occasion the the fish was greasy. What a total let down after our first visit when they were delicious. Won't try them again. To be honest the fish wasn't fit to be served.

The worst takeaway I’ve ever had, revolting. Chips were lukewarm and soggy, my battered sausage was completely inedible, the fat it was cooked in was very dark brown and goodness knows how old. I’ll never eat anything from there again

Massively overpriced. Paid £18.50 per person for a cheese salad. We were too shocked to complain. I am all for supporting businesses at this time however feel this was taking advantage of our custom.

Yummy food and friendly service. :)) Shame about the limited opening times and that the online ordering was discontinued.

we thought we would give this fish and chip shop a go, but we will not be going back the fish should have been medium more like small and batter was very hard like it been sitting around for a while, not freshly cooked..The chips were also a small portion and loads of very small hard bits. We have eaten fish and chips in loads of places around the country and this was one of the worst and the most expensive,

'Special' fish, chips & peas deal, good value. Restaurant is excellent when it's open, nice atmosphere & lovely staff.

Always had very tasty fish and chips from this place, eat in option is also available. Definitely recommend!

We ordered a chicken srip meal and chicken burger and got chicken wings and a chicken burger, allocated time was between 12-15 minutes, we waited 40min and only realised when we got home that they did not cook the chicken strips.

Disgusting place! The owner is extremely rude and cheated me of £2 by giving me short change. When asked about it, he became aggressive and threw insults at me, eg saying I didn’t understand english! Absolutely would not recommend! Stay away from this place!

Would definitely recommend, good steak pie and the chips were to die for. Will be ordering from here again!

We have eaten here often, not a great fan of the queues however you will not be disappointed. Fresh white fish crisp batter crisp scraps and well cooked chips. LOVE this chippie it produces fantastic fresh produce every single day. Never let us down and we have had many as we stay in Saltburn-By-The-Sea for a week twice a year as well as visit for day trips.
