We really enjoyed a family dinner tonight ! Fish and chips were very good, generous portions and the staff were so pleasant! Will we return? Most definitely!

Despues de andar por el mercado de Nothing Hill, paramos no sin hambre en este restaurante. Mi mujer pidio un menú kebab, y yo un pollo para uno. Cuando me trajeron el pollo, pensaba que se habian equivocado y que era para dos, debido al gran tamaño de la ración. Pero, era para uno.Ademas, braseado con la salsa picante, está estupendo. El local, pues corrientito, aunque suficiente para sus pretensiones.

Tenía un largo día con mi familia y pasamos de pollo rebozados kebab que era muy seco y sesoned! Patatas fritas muy seco! Ojalá nunca comas aquí.

Inoltre il servizio è stato decisamente lento, anche considerando che non c'era quasi nessuno... Il prezzo invece è abbastanza contenuto in rapporto al costo della vita londinese e considerata anche la zona.

Más o menos lo esperable, comida rápida, eso si, en cantidad, las raciones son generosas. El local es muy modesto y algo frio, mantienen la puerta abierta, imagino que por los humos porque cocinan todo en la barra. Para una comida rápida y de paso está aceptable.

Como una persona británico que vive en los Estados Unidos en su luna de miel tuve que ser pescado y patatas fritas. Este fue uno de los lugares mejor clasificados en a poca distancia del hotel y no nos decepcionó. Puedo ver cómo la gente puede conocer algo mejor y no apetece comer allí, se queden en los llevar y pescado o salchichas y patatas fritas, pero a mi me pareció que estaba bien.

Primero, los menús en el exterior mostró precios únicos de la comida para llevar, pero antes nos dimos cuenta de esto, el camarero presionaron para sentarse, así que hay costos adicionales. Le vimos hacer esto a los otros dos grupos confundidos mientras estuvimos allí, también. ¿Por qué no ser honesto acerca de esto? Excellent fish and chips. The fish was fresh and the chips were delicious. The place is very simple (considering The neighborhood) but if you're looking for something British food it's the right one.

You have to wait for your food as it is all cooked fresh. Its well worth the wait. The fish and chips are cooked in clean oil so you dont get a bitter aftertaste as you do in some fish and chip shops. There is a wide menu selection and the scampi is divine.

As I'm a student from foreign country, I was looking for place, where I can try famous fish and chips without ruining my wallet. This was good choice - special offer was quite cheap, servings big and food really tasty. We were even given extra fish, because they liked us. I would recommend that place to everyone.

The owner of the place is very rude and aggressive..charges for toilet and for service charge..doest know the meaning of customer service at all..always swearing even to his own workers..The other stuff are nice and friendly..specially the short guy with black hair and the blonde girl..gave me very warm welcome and made me feel home..very polite and very careful with costumer needs..good workers and provide great costumer service..the blonde girl is very funny and polite..the black hair guy is also very good chef and waiter.. Cannot say the same about the boss..whoever will visit the place will understand what I am talking about..good luck guys..hope you get better experience then me..

Sono stato in questo locale ed ho mangiato un ottimo "Fish & Chips". Il prezzo, per essere il centro di Londra è davvero molto contenuto. 2 porzioni abbondanti e due bibite in lattina 17 sterline circa. Permettono il take away. Il locale non è grandissimo ma accogliente. Ci ritornerò sicuramente.

The food was okay, but food was served as is like in a cafeteria. No modifications were allowed. There was no way to get a salad without chopped up onions, for example. It comes the way it comes and that's it. That being said the meal was simple and met our needs.

A piece of cod fish described as "small" was anything but small. The portion of chips was more than one should eat! There were several set meals to choose from. There is chicken for those who prefer this to fish. Don't take away if you can help it. The skin of the fish tends to stick to the paper.

We ate at the Royal Fish & Chips location over by the Notting Hill Tube station. The food was very good and fresh made. Service was friendly. Food took a bit long to be served, but it was late at night and again the food was hot, fresh and good so no worries about the time. For fish and chips I would recommend this location.

I'm always striving for objective, impartial review although it's delivered by individual with subjective views and tastes this combination of something that is trying to pose as a traditional chippy pared with Juice Bar wasn't the right marketing move by the owner. What more, it is rather unfortunate move as the smell of chippy isn't compatible with expectations placed on juice bar. Trust me, I've been there and tried it.

It's hard to find a good chippy in London but this place is fantastic. Always good quality and friendly service.

The food was terrific. The wait (an hour) was not. The man said they were understaffed and everything had to be cooked fresh. We decided to treat it as an adventure and stayed, most of the other tables, and customers, got fed up and left. We were rewarded with delicious food, but lackadaisical service, particularly from a young Asian woman who seemed disinclined to bring us our drinks or help the customers. If they get their act together, this small restaurant has the potential to be the go-to place for wonderful English food.

The food was lovely and the portion was fine. The only problem is the order came 45 mins late and I had to call them and only then I was told that the delivery would be late. They didn't even offer an explanation, but just apologised.

Ventured into this restaurant to try the fish and chips.Despite being a Friday when you would expect a fish restaurant to be fully stocked with piscatorial delicacies unfortunately half of what we wanted was not available.We compromised on our order and settled back to wait for our meal and we waited and waited and waited half an hour later our meal arrived I settled for a skate wing [the only one they had available] and my colleague had a cod cutlet.Both fish when opened from the soggy batter revealed water on the inside which i presume came from the fish being frozen at some time from its journey from the sea to filling my plate.All in all not a good and auspicious start to the meal.Half the meal was left and not enjoyed at all and the prices leave a lot to be desired for what after all is a basic restaurant with no frills. For example we were charged £1.50 for a cup of tea not a pot but a cup which i think is absolutely ludicrous all in all a bad experience and we wont be visiting there again

Unsere Töchter wollten auf unserem Londontrip unbedingt Fish & Chips in London essen. Teuere Restaurants kamen nicht in Frage, da wir als Familie in London genug Geld für Flug, Unterkunft und Eintritte liegen lassen mussten. Lecker und sauber sollte es trotzdem sein. Nachdem wir also einige Fish & Chips Imbissstuben besichtigt hatten und das Vorgefundene uns eher abgeschreckt hatte (gelinde gesagt), liefen wir durch Zufall am Royal Fish & Chips in Notting Hill vorbei. Es sah sauber und freundlich aus und das war es auch. Wir nahmen die Sparversion von Fish und Chips von der Angebotskarte. Es wurde alles frisch zubereitet, die gebackenen Fischstücke waren sehr lecker und frisch, die Kartoffelchips handgeschnitten und frisch frittiert. Dazu gab es einen Dipp mit frischen Gurkenstückchen (sehr lecker) und - die Portionen waren richtig groß, für unsere Kinder (9 und 12) zuviel. Das Sparmenue gibt es zum Mitnehmen für knapp 5 engl. Pfund, als Tischgericht kostet es 1,50 Pfund Aufpreis. Alles in allem - Es war richtig lecker, das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir sind am letzten Abend deswegen nochmals extra dort hingefahren, weil unsere Große dort zur Feier ihres Geburtstages nochmals die leckeren Fish & Chips wollte. Dort sahen wir auf den Tischen auch andere Gerichte bei anderen Gästen, die sahen auch sehr gut aus und es gab große Portionen. Die Toilette sah sauber aus. Warum dann nur 4 Sterne? Die frische Zubereitung des Essens dauert sicher seine Zeit. Uns ist nur aufgefallen, dass man nicht deswegen recht lange aufs Essen warten muss, sondern weil der Auslieferungsservice des Restaurants vorrangig das Essen bekommt. Obwohl nur wenige Leute im Restaurant waren lies man diese deswegen warten. Zwei Gäste wollten daher einfach gehen (ohne dies vorher anzukündigen), weil es ihnen zu lange dauerte. Das darf eigentlich nicht passieren. Und auch beim Sparmenue wäre ich für ein Glas dankbar gewesen statt nur einem Strohhalm für die Getränkedose (aber ich habe auch nicht extra gefragt). Sollten wir wieder nach London kommen gehen wir aber gerne wieder hin.

Passant un week end entre potes sur Londres, nous voulions manger "typique": et c'est gagné! Bon rapport qualité/prix, bon service. Endroit sympa, un régal!!!!

After long search for a place to get fish and chips we finaly found this small restaurant. It was quite late so the restaurant was almost empty a and for some time we were the only guests. Therefore we didn't have to wait long for our food. The portion was generous and fish tasty.Staff was ok, nothing to complain. I would definitely eat there again.There is adittional fee (i think £1.5) to the price listed on the menu if you eat in the restaurant and if you pay with a card (i think £0,80).

I have to be honest with you, I was reading Nepalike review and I was shocked the way she was describing the place.I went there with my family and we enjoyed our time very much.the place was very clean and peaceful,the food was very delicious and fresh cooked,the people working there where very friendly including the guy in the picture on the top of the page.Apparently Nepalike kid was driving all staff mad and they had no other choice to be more streaked with her child behaviour as a result of keeping the place peaceful for every other costumers to enjoy they meal. In my opinion the place is great environmentally and taste wise is perfect.

Iam a visitor in this place and went here with my kid.My visit to this place was very dissapointing as the customer service i got was pathetic.The man in the picture needs to be trained how to treat people and what customer service is. Fresh fish beautifully fried with good hand cut chips which were not greasy. Calamari also good: nice size and perfectly fried. This is a better than average fish and chips joint. I have not tried the meat items on the menu nor the grilled fish. Clean place, attentive staff.

I think that was the worst food I ever had. I don't understand how they got such good reviews as the food that has been delivered to us was so bad. The half chicken was feeling tasteless and burger that my colleague had it was disgusting (as he said). Even the chips we had was very bad. You see, when a man is hungry might not feel that much the taste but we did. So no imagine how bad their food was. Also the delivery came after 1 hour and half.

My partner and I are local to the area and like coming back to this gem of a fish and chips restaurant time and time again. The owner is completely hands on and clearly puts his heart and soul into the business. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and excellently run. The fish is high quality and very deliciously cooked. The restaurant has very good ventilation systems installed so your clothes won't end up smelling after eating there. We will be back and recommend this place highly!

I live and the area and have often been there for a quick take away dinner after work. The guy who I think might be the owner is very attentive and efficient, while sometimes I wasn't too happy about the rest of the staff, especially when eating in. The food though is very tasty and the portions generous. The restaurant is very clean and nice. Prices are great related to the area and the quality of food. I suggest RFC to anyone who is visiting and wants to try traditional fish and chips with a low price and plenty of choice.

I am a regular at the Royal Fish & Chips. I would reccommend it to anyone walking past or that lives in the area it's better than other Fast food shops and when you buy and eat inside you'd like to keep going there.

Relatively new fish & chips joint to open in NHG and seems like a bit of a tourist trap (offering juices, breakfasts, burgers). Completely overpriced fish, £8.99 for a medium cod which wasn't that good, soft batter and not classic chip shop potatoes. Overall a bit disappointed for someone who likes a good fish & chips but I suppose it is average for London.

Ok I have to write a truthful review. I phoned this takeaway around 1.30pm asking do they deliver the lady answered and was rude she said we are busy call back later it was simply a yes they do deliver it no they don't answer. Was left a little confused and felt it was rude. I decided to order as they was live on just eat and paid by card. I ordered chicken with rice they don't have rice I also ordered a cheese pasty with chips meal they don't have cheese pasty either. The shop called me and offered me mash instead of the rice and a veg pasty. The food arrived the veg pasty was freezing cold and there was no chips. The chicken was undercooked in some areas and very pink. I phoned the takeaway explain he suggested a replacement of chips next time I urged them to deliver them so they did. Really was not impressed at all and will never order again very unprofessional and food really not good and overpriced
