absolutely fantastic. called me when an item wasn't available and swapped it with someone else I wanted, rather than just send anything. it arrived quick and pipping hot. a nice amount of food, full of flavour. friendly delivery service. I wish there was an option to tip here. I will definitely have food again from them. thank you for helping with my late night munchies.

food was nearly 2 hours late. called restaurant who advised it was just leaving and was snotty. blamed the weather! update the app delivery times then! food arrived by a 10 year old lad, who was lovely. lemon chicken cold, s+p chicken cold, chips cold and ribs were all fat. order from here all the time. never again

Absolutely shocking time kept moving later and later everytime I called it was another 10 mins eventually arrived over 2 hours late and no compensation. Food wasn't great, very runny sauce and had to reheat the other dish

We have loved this take away since moving here however ordered a grilled chicken kebab the other day and have unfortunately got food poisoning. Please be careful here! I have been throwing up all night and day. Avoid

Ordered 2 chicken dinners, no chips with it and food all spilled out of the trays and into the carrier bag, extremely unhygienic so all gone to waste!!!

The chips were absolutely raw. If you can't get chips right there's no hope I won't be using this establishment again!!!

Great delivery but food average

I can't give a better star rating for Quality as the food was cold, too many onions in the main meals (beef curry and Cantonese chicken) and we had a missing item... no prawn crackers. will not be using this restaurant again.

Delivery was 15 minutes early. There was a meat and potato pie missing. (my wife's meal). The mixed kebab was very underwhelming, just a couple of pieces of each; dry and almost tasteless. no sauces provided. The hot and sour soup was basically inedible, and went straight in the bin. Pity as the Stockton Fryer was recommended to us.

Our 1st order from them. Food was too sweet i.e. peas and onions and it spoilt both meals, also too much pepper used in it.

Moored for the night on the canal and stopped here for fish and chips. The fish was absolutely brilliant and chips were great

Do you want to explain why food containers were loosen and order was leaking food everywhere and delivery guy insulted me in Arabic and tossed bag towards me??? Wth

First time using this chip shop, got a delivery, chicken and sweetcorn soup was lovely, special fried rice and chicken curry was a bit greasy but nice. Didn’t know you had to order chips separately.

Fuming it cost us 45 pound to not send some items if it and when called refused to bring it and it was all we wanted from the order the food wasn’t even nice and go through in the bin we order normally each week but will not be doing again

Attempted to overcharge me for a small portion of chips despite the price being displayed on their menu board. Employee struggled to understand why I refused to pay a higher price than advertised.

the man wouldn’t let us have salt and pepper chips because of the wait but then proceeded to give us normal chips which had a black hair INSIDE the chip, (we are ginger and blonde) absolutely disgusted with the lack of hygiene going on. needs to be sorted ASAP before someone gets food poisoning 🥊🙄❌💩🤬😡🤮👹. absolutely raging

Changed hands a while ago. Forget their previous hygiene rating, the new owner has turned the place around so don’t judge on the past. Great food, great service.

Here on the 29th of march 2024 ordered fish and chips twice they opened at 4:30 I was the only one in there left at 5 past 5 with my fish and chips got home chips were raw fish was green and like rubber where it had been overcooked never again will I use this place

Absolutely awful! Chicken black bean it wasnt. Some kind of chicken extract. Tasteless and cold. Chips must have been from last weekend! Stale. Waste a f money. Left it. Couldn’t eat it

This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks I have been for my tea at this fryer. Last week I just ordered chips and a carton of curry sauce. I live literally 4 minutes away in the car. I came home to slightly warm chips and boiling hot curry sauce. I was a little perplexed. Today I ordered just the chips. 4 minutes to get home in the car and again the chips were not hot. They were barely warm and very hard, like they were from much earlier on. I’ll never go there again. A waste of money. They went in the bin.

Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering. £35 of cold bland food went straight in the bin. Rice box deformed by heat too. All in the bin.

We have been using Stockton Fryer for a long time and were very disappointed with the food this evening! We spent £30 on our takeaway (Stockton Heath prices!) and the majority of it has gone in the bin. The sweet & sour chicken - chicken was dry, tough and stringy, the chips were rock hard and inedible, the fried rice was cold, need I go on? We are extremely disappointed and should really be given a full refund. Stockton Heath prices demand Stockton Heath quality.

Chips like rubber, curry tasteless fish was ok.

Without doubt the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had! Sweet and sour king prawns with chips. The batter had slimed off the prawns, the sauce looked radio active and was way too sweet and the chips were cold and actually hard, they’d clearly been fried hours before. I have used this place for years and it has always irritated me that when you order Chinese they put up the chips straight away on a warmer so they’re always luke warm at best by the time your food comes through and you get home. I did question this once and got a snotty reply. Would it be so hard to do the chips as soon as the meal is ready?! Needless to say the meal ended up in the bin tonight. I couldn’t be bothered taking it back because of the hassle I’d have got. Today was a new low though. I’ll never be using them again, so why bother leaving a review? Because I want to save other people’s money and don’t want them to have the same experience. Just go somewhere else, trust me it’ll be worth it!

Shockingly bad. Bought a kebab and chips from here. The kebab meat was particularly greasey, the pitta bread was dry and hasn't even been sliced for me, just placed in the bag and the chips were dry, chewy and undercooked. Not only that but I had a dodgy stomach all night and through into the next day. In addition to the lack of quality of the food, the staff weren't friendly either which sums up the whole experience. This was my first time back in a couple of years and it's definitely gone down in my estimation. Certainly won't be coming back here again that's for sure

This is a great chippy, it had me covered anything I fancied was on the menu. Chinese, Kebabs, fish. It was all available. I can only vouch for the one meal I had, but Ill defo go back for another try. or maybe delivery. Staff where a buzz too. Recently I have noticed that it's more about the kebabs and pizzas 🍕 but it's still good quality.

The mixed meat and chips kebab is tasty and good value.

Ordered chowmein chips and curry. The chips came with chicken nuggets! OK let that one slide but the chips were disgustingly greasy and undercooked, worst I've ever tasted. The chowmein is usually good but seems extra greasy and the egg just didn't taste like an egg. Offered a discount off my next order for my chips after I called, should have refunded the whole thing. Think I will say bye to this once great chippy that has clearly gone down hill.

Bought 2 pizzas and chips and some chicken donner from here today after reading these reviews ..Well it was awful chips wernt even cooked properly just a soggy mess on tray as for pizzas the base was that soggy as soon as you lifted a slice out of box the toppings just slid of as it bent and folded, ended up just throwing it in the bin .definately won't be going here again

I ordered rice and Chinese curry. They have me a table spoon worth of curry with tons of rice, which was so dry and tasteless. Would highly recommend not to get any good from them.

Very disappointed, I've ordered from here before, and was always good. Tonight waited 1 hour for it to arrive. To start the beef in a black bean sauce was OK....., soup cold, and tasteless. The chips were soggy and soaked in grease. The prawn toast was absolutely vile. It was that greasy, made me feel sick, so it went straight in the bin. Spring rolls under cooked. Also in the bin. Prawn crackers had a split in the bag, so we're rock hard, as the air had got to them. Spent £20.85 for this meal. And ate a few mouthfuls, I feel like just drank oil. Discusting, and very disappointed, I hate to leave poor reviews, but after that mess of a meal, I felt I should!

Just purchased fish and chips 3 times. Absolutely disgusting fish. No taste and all the fish were mushy. Gosh should be flaky and fresh. All of us left our fish. Don’t waste your money.

One of the worst chippies I've ever had. Fish was greasy as anything, paper was soaked through. It was also sloppy and somehow slimy which made me think it might have been off, ending up going in the bin. Curry sauce was way too thick and mushy peas were a neon green. Food was cold by the time we collected, probably because the girl on the phone didn't ask me what time I wanted to collect and hung the phone up before I could ask. Final point is they don't take card either.

Worst mixed kebab I've had in warrington, my wife recommended it as she was brought up in Stockton heath. Tonight we was both left disappointed, cold salt and pepper chips meat full of oil to the point when it arrived the paper packaging was soggy. Sorry won't be ordering here again.

Had fish, chips and battered sausage. Very disappointing with the batter on both items not even crispy with it being soggy and the chips were not cooked. Horrible place and would not come again 🤦🏼‍♂️ paid an extra £2 for battered sausage with not batter even on it.

Ordered donner wraps, chips and garlic bread. Possibly the worst chips I have ever had, no taste, very pale and hard. Really disappointed.

We pass three chippies to actually get to this place. Never had a bed meal here. Just had our 4th visit and they did not disappoint. and they TAKE CASH! which is another plus. Any place that refuses my cash never gets my custom. Well done!

How can a chippy get gravy so wrong? Chips were fresh from the fryer but tasted awful, maybe needs a change of oil? Gravy is awful!! Really greasy after taste! No covid measures in place. Not been there for years and won’t be going again!

Ordered a takeaway here through Uber eats. Over an hour later compared to time given. Rang 2 times to be told it was on route. Driver then decided when he did want to turn up to continue ringing the door bell untill I got to the door at 9.30pm with 2 kids in bed. Definitely not what it used to be
