Nowhere near as good a quality food as others have stated.

Just ordered donner meat and chips not impressed. The chips were hard and the donner meat looks like it had been sat there for a while it was all hard and crispy. Usually have good food from there so maybe I came on a bad day.

Loved it, me and my girlfriend tried it and both enjoyed, I got batterd sausage and a chip barm, and she had fish chips and peas. And a few extras from the shop inside like Turkish delight, some chocolate and tizer drink all well priced. Food was really good exactly what you want from a fish and chip shop.

Lovely food, usually go orford fryer but their quality has gone really downhill, used to visit greenwood fryery when I was younger and it was still up to great standard 👍 will be returning

Absolutely disgusting service. Ordered fish carton curry and peas. 2 miserable women serving. The other woman put it all on 1 tray even though i asked for cartons of curry and peas .No apology and then said my payment failed when it was your internet. Have always used you but won't again

Disgusting, chips soggy, tasted old like they had been fried the day before. Odd colour. Batter not cooked enough very floury. Absolute waste of £16 straight in the bin. Should have guessed a good chippy doesn't need to sell alcohol and chocolate . I have a vile taste in my mouth and I only ate a couple.

Had to take first chicken kebab back as it tasted awful they made another one I tried it and it also tasted awful. Like the meat was off, after 2/3 pieces I threw away definitely off chicken

Tiny thin fish extortionate prices, food is nice but its definitely a penny pincher.

Popped in on the off chance whilst in the area. From the outside it looks like your run of the mill chippy but do not be put off. Food was absolutely fantastic. 2 guys behind the counter had impeccable manners and were really friendly nothing was too much bother. Glad we stopped now and if we're ever in the area again we know where we're stopping!

Found hair in the curry sauce. food not for human consumption shud be putting but down here but it's 1 step above that rating.

Having read the horrible reviews on here about the food , they must just be critics, I'm a contractor and in the area so just been and had fish chips and peas, it was a welcoming atmosphere and the food was delicious, so if you're reading this do like me, go and try for yourself 👍

Fantastic chips. Barm was a bit stale but I was starving so it didn't matter! It's chippy but sells wine beer and other staples. Mmm-mm!

Just ordered a couple bags of chips, kebab, drink and some little side snacks. Really friendly staff, very clean interior. Large menu with many shelfs of extra snacks and drinks for your evening greasy smash. Would highly recommend to every one. We come through here quite regularly and we have never had an issue. Great job 👍

Had not been here for quite a while. Young guy who served me was very friendly which makes such a difference. Chips were excellent. Based on this visit I would thoroughly recommend The Greenwood Fryer.

This is the place to go for Chicken kebabs, absolutely fabulous, they do great fish and chips too

Stop here on the way back from shopping, ordered chips and sausage, the chips where made fresh and was very nice, me and partner enjoyed them and are planning our next visit.

Refried fish from lunch time and hard horrible chips

Chips were only Luke warm, and the potatoes were grubby. Mushy peas are not nice too, they don’t taste nice. I do not recommend this chippy.

Always go here for fish and chips, they are excellent and good portions too.

Absolutely fab fish and chips. The staff are lovely and the shop is clean. There is a small car park to the side and parking on the side street. It gets busy which is no suprise. I haven't tried anything else on the menu My car broke down recently and the staff could not do enough for me, ensuring I was safe until help arrived. Can't thank them enough.

This is an award winning fish and chips shop one of the best in Warrington,we go every friday.its do clean and lightly battered fish are wonderful.

Bitty cold chips, watery curry sauce and a fish that didn't taste at all fresh, at £14 for 2 portions, expensive. Definitely never going back.

The Mrs couldn’t eat any of her food!So all that and £17 wasted!!! First and definitely the LAST time going there!Go somewhere else as you have been warned!!!

Showed up to this chippy several times during the advertised opening hours on Google and it has been shut every time

Wtf. Like seriously... I ordered chicken curry and rice and legit no joke, I got the tinned chicken curry from Lidl. I know this for a fact hahaha because my bf eats it and it vile. Could tell by the smell and taste straight away. Rice was stuck together so clearly overcooked. Was VILE. Waste of money.. ended up ordering more food afterwards because I couldn’t even eat it. Go to a proper takeaway!

Normally love this chippy but noticed recently the portions have become tiny. Pay for a large chips to share and get a portion that can only be described as a small... At a push. Yet you get charged £2.30 for the privalidge of barely a handful of chips. Think it may be time to go to Gastronomic round the corner instead.

Excellent fish and chips, not massive portions but plenty. Peas bland, watery and under seasoned ( maybe a bit feared of the salt police?). The real thing that impressed me was just how clean the place is. I think there are some interesting choices on the meat front that maybe you cant get in every chippy but I dont have that so not too sureI will certainly go again and would recommend

Lovely food and great friendly service thankyou. Would definitely recommend! Personal favourite is the chicken kebab with salad and chilli sauce. Oh and a naughty but nice bag of chips. Love how fresh the food is and how extremely clean the entire shop is.

Everytimes iv visited the wait has been long. But the service and the food is great. Nice fish and chips will reccommned however do feel the price is a little too high

Went on good Friday. Slightly undercooked and tasteless chips, fish was tough and chewy while the batter was sloppy in the middle and rock hard at the ends. Peas and gravy not too bad. At over £7 for everything I was disappointed.

Decided to pick up some tea as I was passing this place, thinking it would be cheap. As I’d been out and I didn’t want the children to wait much longer for their tea. Anyway for a family of four it totalled £26. Averaging £6.50 each. Well 2 of us only had cheesy chips and gravy and I can’t work out how it was so much. Got home with this food and no one was able to eat it. It really wasn’t nice at all. Irrelevant of the price, any amount is too much for inedible food. Will not go there ever again.

I believe these 2 chip shops are linked. Well the one in greenwood is normally amazing. But tonight they missed some of the order off. So when i rang them a person kept just saying yeah They were not intetested. Took our money though

Have attended this chippy, must say the food is excellent. The staff are very friendly and cannot be faulted, meals are served within a good time span. A good extensive menu is available.

Been a couple of times now and the food has been really good, plus the curry sauce is to die for :-)
