Very nice place and really enjoyed the fish and chips and barm as it is called in runcorn

Food was cold, mushy peas salty.and come an hour late.

Gave me a fish that was dry but even worse the underside batter was pieced together and burnt as I'm black. Would prefer them to have said no fish. £6.30 wasted. Put it in the bin

The chips were cold and hard and the fish was tiny for £7+ I think they must have sent a small but charged for a regular. Curry was congealed. Used to love the food from here but won’t use again

The fish was absolutely disgusting, mostly batter, oily, hardly any fish. There must have been about 2 fish fingers worth of fish in there, in fact, 2 fish fingers would have been preferable! Ordered many times from here in the past and it's been ok, but I'll never be ordering from here again! Disgraceful.

Absolutely love their burgers, far better than your average maccies burgers and very good value for money! Would recommend the cheeseburger with an added patty.

The staff at the restaurant put a handwritten note on of the boxed items for me to get my money back from Just Eat due to how late the food was.

Did an online order and never again! Food was late and all cold, sludges and burnt at same time. Absolutely inedible. Also missing a portion of chips. Was only a simple order of various chips, sauces etc for after the footy. We’d gone bed by time food turned up! And food was just dreadful. Do not order online from here. Don’t know if it’s as bad if you go in the chippy itself as I’ll never use them again.

awful delivery waiting time, staff didn't care at all, and lied 3 times saying food was already out for delivery - nearly 2 hours for food to arrive yet "it was out for delivery". Staff said a manager would ring me back next day, I agreed to this and heard nothing since! After reading other reviews seems this is a very common occurrence.

If I could give 0 stars I would for the overall experience. We ordered our food on Just Eat at 14:20 and it arrived at 16:20 despite the estimated time saying it would arrive within the hour. I rang the restaurant 3 times in total and each time they said the delivery driver was on the way to us (10 minute drive) so I struggle to understand why it took so long and why each time I rang they said the driver had just left and was on the way to us. When the driver arrived he was apologetic and said that the last customer he delivered to refused the order as it was so late. We're annoyed and won't be ordering again. Our food wasn't great to be honest. Wrong sauce was put in my partners kebab. The halloumi was mostly batter, we ordered 2 portions and only received one. I ate my cheesy chips and my partner ate his mixed grill which was actually pretty good.... however later that day we were both sick and had very upset stomachs. In conclusion it wasn't worth the long wait or the money (even with the discount on Just Eat).

Worst chippy ive been too, first fish apparently fell aoart cooked another while my jebab was done and going cold, got home the grease that came off the kebab was unreal !!! The fish wasn’t cooked it was raw !!!never again

It took over a hour and a half for the food to arrive and the chicken fried rice didn’t look the best, it was a very dark brown colour

I ordered chicken fried rice and a spicy curry sauce last week and really enjoyed it. I decided to order the same again but I was given a fruity curry sauce not Chinese style which did not taste right with chicken fried rice

Normally my son and I enjoy the sausage dinners we get from Neptunes, however today's were not enjoyable because the majority of the chips in both our trays were under-cooked and crunchy. Obviously too many orders and in too much of a rush to get the orders out.

So basically i waited over an hour an a half for the food to come, when it came the chips where hard an the rest was just far to greasy for what i paid i expected better quality food.

Great quality food 👌 I buy food from here often 😋 I usually eat in so this is my first order and it arrived safely 😀 my only issue was that it needed a bit more cooking 🍳 but only slightly! Otherwise great 👍 I think it's because I ordered this to arrive not long before the shop opened 😅 I will definitely be visiting again though 😀 .

The batter was over cooked and fish not cooked.no seasoning no taste.Chips were inedible definitely not freshly cooked.Bits and all very unappetising.Peas were ok everything went in the bin.£15 wasted.I won’t be using them again I took photos before I binned the lot.very disappointed

Just got fish and chips from here warmed up fish and chips I bought som two weeks ago from here it was excellent but after todays effort will not be going back there again

Seemed like warmed up chips from yesterday were all dark brown and hard, grease filled the bottom of the bag that was delivered, curry pot was about 2cm deep donner meat wasn’t bad but for £7.70 absolutely tiny

Ordered food at 16:15 , told delivery would be at 17:00 -17:20 ,rang up and the girl on the phone was lovely and well mannered . Chips was cold, and hard in places . Fried rice was nice and the salt an pepper chicken as well , Other thank being late and the chips , the rest was lovely . Just make sure you give 2 hours from when ordering to get your food

Terrible service, was told on the phone that my food was out for delivery (hesitantly) after waiting for 20+ minutes I phoned again and told the operative that I wanted a refund if my delivery arrived cold, that I was assured of on the phone I would get based on the above, to have the delivery driver turn up 20 minutes later for a £14 delivery! XD feeling cold, Held the order for 10-15 seconds based on the atmosphere to no avail and rang again following to come to an arrangement with the company direct for a refund (no point) which they told me to contact deliveroo. Basically deliveroo paid for my refund for Neptune's incompetence :)

Ordered food around 8:45 and have waited until what is now 11pm and still have no food. Called the restaurant about 30 minutes ago and they said it was with the driver, however food still hasn’t shown. Won’t waste my time coming here again.

Chips warm ups looking burnt with a lot of bits on them, they were also warm to cold. For the price wasn't worth it won't be going there again, give it a miss.Curry was like baby chudder. Was all inedible went in the bin.

I want a refund for this! I waited 2 and a half hours for food for my kids and they’ve gone to bed having only eaten a couple of slices of toast! This is unacceptable and I want an immediate refund

Order of fish, chips and curry arrived late and nearly cold. I can accept that but the food we received I wouldn’t feed to a dog. The expensive and small cod was burnt and looked like it had been kicked around the street. They should be ashamed to send it out to a paying customer. When you’re called a fish bar you should at least try to get fish and chips right. We threw it in the bin. Disgusting

i ordered a meal at 19.30, i rang twice to see where the food was and just got fobbed off with excuses, the driver turned up at 21.45 with the wrong meal, i won,t be bothering again.

asked for a bread bun......never got it box food served in was collapsing when I got it. not great. food luke warm.....(half expected on delivery) Try somewhere else next time.

I have always enjoyed my food from Neptune, but sadly the majority of the food went in the bin this time as the rice was burned. Shame because the staff are lovely, but today the food was not good.

Ordered online at 16:48 With a delivery time of 17:35. It is now 18:25 and were still waiting for our order. We phoned the restaurant at 18:00 telling us it'll be 5 minutes. If you food ever arrives I'll let you all know..... Food was never delivered we had to go and pick it up in the end. Items missing from order. There wad also 10 other deliveries lined up sat not been delivered. AVOID AT ALL COSTS... DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!!!!!!

Very late cold food not nice at all

Ordered at 7:30pm and arrived at 9:30pm, driver was really apologetic to be fair to him. I'm really not sure what's caused this place to go downhill so quickly. The Special Burger (With Donner) had no donner on it, S&P chips were just chips that were absolutely drowned it Garlic. Fried rice & Chips, the rice tasted burnt. Wouldn't reccomend anymore unfortunately which is a shame because until Jan this year all reviews were great.

Disgusting! Food had been sweating in packaging. Paper was all wet Food was like rubber. Food was cold Gravy was like thick cement. Driver was pleasant and apologetic however. Food shocking Maybe shorten delivery range.

This used to be my go to kebab shop (when it was owned by Polish?) Since then the portions have gone terrible and the food even worse. I've been really disappointed the times I've been over the last year, and had pretty much boycotted the place - but last night I thought I would give it another try... "large" donner kebab was tiny and the meat was absolutely unacceptable. Was like it had been there for a few days - bone dry and stale. Staff are always friendly, but honestly the food is just not a patch on what it used to be... Such a shame.

Theres more fish on a mackerel, all batter which was like rock and it was cold just like the peas.

Delivery was ridiculously early, ordered a mixed kebab which is usually donner, shish and chicken but it was Donner and some weird dried up hard cold stuff what was like dog food, the salt and pepper chips was hard and cold and bland, the only thing I couldn't complain about was the mozzarella sticks and the onion rings, apart from the fact they were also cold they still tasted okay... Honestly 1 star is generous, will not be going here again, Extremely annoyed what a waste of 27 quid

Food took 2 hours to be delivered from order time, rang up and said they were ‘short on drivers’. When the food finally arrived they had forgotten the chips out of the order! Phoned them again to tell them which they replied ‘oh so you are missing the chips do you want us to send them out’ well yes, the key component to a ‘chippy’. Took a further 15 minutes for them to be delivered whilst in the mean time the rest of the order went cold! Won’t be ordering from here again. Very poor service

Rice had chicken just dumped on the top no spring onion or ham like usual chippies waited ages for clumpy fried rice with a few bits of chicken on the top. Over priced and definitely will not order again

Delivery driver broke my ether box after banging it so hard

Alls I can say is it was so shocking I’ve sent photo evidence to the health and safety dept of tradinging standards.

The food was barely warm it had to go in the microwave but the food was already dry and overcooked so it was awful. The chips were clearly lunchtime warm ups and the sausage skin was so hard you could hardly cut through it! Donner meat must have been on the spit for a week how dry and crusty it was and the chicken meat was cooked that much it was barely noticeable! Absolutely awful!

Order missing a cheeseburger meal and a cone of chips. Fish cake cooked in old old and has disintegrated. Fish strip bland and tasteless. I used to order from here regularly and this has been a massive disappointment.
