The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

I have visited Yatton Fish Bar for about 30 years. When my children were small (now 38 and 39) they enjoyed getting a takeaway and sitting in the car watching the trains at Yatton Railway Station. HOWEVER, this evening, (we are having a new kitchen fitted) we decided to get something out and remember past times. We arrived just after 1700hrs. The chips were soggy and not properly cooked and my cod was so dry! It was a medium cod, which I would have rated a small or child's portion!!! In the good old days the owner would be trying new potatoes or oils, and ask for our opinions. This evening has put me off Yatton Fish Bar for the rest of my life!!! Maybe I have just experienced a bad time for the business, but how can such a wonderful chip shop go so far down the hill? I would be interested to hear from the management please...

Although it's called the Golden Fish it serves Chinese Food. We were staying nearby in a Houseboat, we rang in our order and collected it 15 minuts later. The food was really good, plenty of meat in the mixed chop suey and mixed sweet and sour. Large portions too. A delicious meal.

I live around Headcorn area so this shop is local to me. I have used it on and off over the years. Due to the food ect not being very good I started to go to Staplehurst fish bar. I thought I would give Headcorn another go so my husband orderer LARGE cod and chips but got medium this cost £11.00 if what we got was medium I really would not like to see small. Back to Staplehurst, we go

Having been keen to see it open after flooding at Christmas it was such a shame that it took 40 minutes waiting for coffee. The sit wait to be asked what you want simply makes the process longer. To be able to use a machine to get a drink or help yourself to a snack would free up the many staff from running around. It’s been closed for repairs and renovations for 4 months. It is a shame that this was not used as an opportunity to improve processes and efficiency which would have made it a better experience. It’s like nothings changed.

Visitantes regulares aquí y siempre les encanta nuestras comidas. Muy crujiente patatas fritas adecuadas y nunca tienen ninguna queja. Este es nuestro “go to” ya que vivimos cerca. Lo convierte en un día encantador o una opción de té perezoso.

Mala experiencia al visitarnos. Falta de atención a los detalles más pequeños, como no suficientes cubiertos, etc. en la mesa. Cuando se limpia del último cliente, todo esto debe ser revisado y repuesto. Pedimos bebidas calientes y brunch. La comida tardó 35 minutos en llegar, en la que nuestras bebidas estaban casi terminadas. No estaba ocupado, por lo que el personal no se precipitó. Cuando finalmente conseguimos comida, ¡era pobre! 9 libras por el tazón de hachís. Retiramos las espinacas y añadimos el aguacate. Las patatas seguían duras, el tazón en el que se servía el plato era demasiado pequeño, algo en lo que se comían cereales. Una amiga pidió lo mismo y sus papas tampoco estaban completamente cocidas y el tocino estaba demasiado cocido. PROMEDIO! Al aconsejar frente a la casa, su actitud fue vergonzosa. Tuvimos un “lo siento”, y ella se fue. Precediendo a decirle a la chef que miró fijamente la mesa girando sus ojos. Fue un poco más tarde cuando nos ofrecieron un reemplazo, demasiado poco, demasiado tarde y, por lo tanto, solicitamos un reembolso. ¡A la que todavía no ha vuelto a la tarjeta! Mucho mejores lugares para ir a tomar el almuerzo a lo largo de roker y ardillas, no pierda su tiempo o dinero.

When in Bishop Auckland,we always go here for our lunch,well cooked food,cheerful staff and good value for money. The premises are always clean and the food served quickly.

Good food, but the stuff did not propose nothing probably they were confused but there were kind and thankful, the area is nice to eat but still there is something missing there

Manor fish and chip shop food was awful. The large haddock (sold as cod) was smaller than a normal small fish portion and cost £8. The chips were the worst chips that I had ever had to throw away. Greasy, soggy, slimy and limp. Sat here feeling ripped off and hungry! Get your act together or sell up!

¡El mejor chippy! Comida encantadora y gran personal también! Cocina fresca y una gran variedad de opciones. Los tamaños de las porciones también son buenos.

Visited yesterday with my husband and sat outside in the sun. We ordered padron peppers, crab orzo and truffle and Parmesan fries with a beer and a rock shandy. The food and drinks were lovely, the crab orzo was amazing and I will definitely be back to have the main size portion of this. The prices do seem slightly too high for the fries and the padron peppers considering how much you get, however we had a lovely time, enjoyed all of it and will be back. It would be good if other customers sitting outside paid attention to the no smoking sign however as it’s a small space and unpleasant.

Sadly despite advertising Gluten free this is only available on a Tuesday. Coeliacs can’t eat the other 6 days unfortunately.

RIP OFF went to get chips for the family, chips were off poor quality tasteless looked like that the afternoon chips had been mixed in with the fresh ones. I paid £9.60 for two large chips and the lady behind the counter said minimum spend on card is £15 that’s what she wanted to charge me. RIP HESTON FISH BAR
