RIP OFF went to get chips for the family, chips were off poor quality tasteless looked like that the afternoon chips had been mixed in with the fresh ones. I paid £9.60 for two large chips and the lady behind the counter said minimum spend on card is £15 that’s what she wanted to charge me. RIP HESTON FISH BAR

Excellent food as always. Best Fish and Chips in West London! Consistently good and excellent service. Prices have gone up a little, like everywhere else, but would still eat here.

So I visited heston fish bar today I wasn't happy at all the with service They charged me for the salt and vinegar The fish is over priced and not good And you have to spend £10 to use your card RIP off

I was a regular customer until they delivered me such awful, hard, recooked, dripping in grease Doner Kebab meat. Not the usual fresh juicy meat I'd come to expect. Someone at Codfather had to prepare my order and had the audacity to send out such sub-standard food to a supposed valued regular customer. I simply find it disrespectful and impossible to conceive a genuine excuse for this type of bad practice

10/10 for the fish and chips from Heston Fish Bar! I come from Scotland and go to Hounslow area regularly to visit family. Absolutely loved the fish & chips - best fish & chips I have ever tasted!! Perfect fish, not too crispy and chips just amazing! Would highly recommend! Cannot fault.

Heston Fish Bar used to great food at what ever time you went in there, now it seems the food is only good on Friday night when it is constantly being cooked fresh, however i don't wish to stand in a queue for 25/30 minutes, the price of the food is still the same on other nights of the week but the quality is far from good, on numerous occasions over the last few months the chips have been lukewarm or oily or soggy, the fish has been dry and hard like it had been sitting these for hours, Most of the staff are very nice with the exception of 1, I took some food back recently for the first time ever and instantly got an excuse why the food wasn't great and with attitude, i was given another portion but that went in the bin also as it was the same as the first lot, it seems they don't care about any of the other nights in the week except Friday, sadly I wont be visiting again

There literally is no other fish and chips shop anywhere within a 25 mile radius. I have been getting my F&C's from here for over 23 years and I literally don't want to go anywhere else. The queues on Friday and Saturday snake down the road which shows how much of a loyal customer base they have and that can only come from building a reputation based on great service, excellent quality and knowing what your customers want. I'm so glad I am literally a 10 minute walk from them.

We were on our way home when I felt like eating CHIPS. Between 3 of us we eat the portion of chips. We ended going back got 3 cod and chips which turned out great I also had a steak and kidney pie which was just right in temperature and tasted great. My friend had a as saveloe as well. I am always impressed by this place with there quilty and cleanliness and a friendly smile

Not a frequent customer as I live nr Fareham. Great value for money with very nice chips and friendly efficient staff. Fish is very nice and my wife does like a nice sausage every now and then

I was taken by their standard i stop there once a week and i am amazed every time. compared to other fish and chip joints around my house they are way ahead of the game. they are what you call the real MECOY IN THEIR GAME. their chips prefectly cooked, the FISH is just DEVINE. it is meaty great batter moist inside great value for money. good service fast clean atomosphere very welcoming. would recomend it to anyone.

I popped in to grab some lunch - they close at 1.45 pm during the week - so be careful !! I nearly missed my lunch - had sausage and chips - very good - proper chip shop chips . Only downside was no brown sauce sold only red or chilli sauce - a lot of chilli sauce sold due to the large Asian community - none of the brown sauce gets sold so he had to throw out the last batch he bought - take your own !! Apart from that - recommended. ( I will try some fish next time)

paid almost £15 for 2 cod and large chips. very greasy fish and chips. chips were very mushy and didnt look freshly fried. The actual fish meat was delicious but the batter was unbelievably oily. It was crunchy which was delicious but this meal was not worth £15. I would pay less than £10.

Having been a regular customer of this fish and chips shops for several years I am sorry to say that they have reduced the quality of this fish. The shop used to serve fresh cod and chips with a lovely crispy batter but unfortunately the orners have recently got greedy and the cod now has lots of batter and very little fish inside. Veery sad to see this we have decided not to go here any longer.

I haven't tried the fish but after eating their chips I don't ever want to try anything from there again. They were the most disgusting greasiest chips I've ever had in my life...no word of lie.

We have been getting Cod & Chips from here forever!! 20+ years and this is obviously because they have been more or less stable in quality and service... of course the fish quality is not always the same in 20 years.... however since the time they have come back from Jan/Feb 2017 Holidays... its more of a disappointment than joy coming in to Heston Fish Bar! I am sad but eventually on a look out for another fish joint nearby.

Absolutely disgusting, can not believe this place has queues outside its doors, with respect to all other reviewers but this is got to be the worst fish and chips in history, it was soaked in oil, infact the paper was dripping it had more oil than Saudi Arabia. Do not eat here.

We had Friday night fish supper last night,and it was as fantastic as it has been for the over 30 years we have visited this local gem.Queues out of the door and along the pavement should not deter,because the service is excellent,and it's always worth the wait.This family run business has been dishing up the best fish and chips around,with a smile,for as long as any of us can remember,and long may they continue.

No doubt about it, this is the best fish & chip shop for mile's!! Tastiest fish, crispy batter & fried to perfection with top quality chip's, fast service, clean place, end of the week you will be queuing in a line outside of the shop & onto the street, but def worth the wait.

I've been here a couple of times but this was my first trip back in awhile. The chips were good as usual and the sausage was alright. You can't go wrong here!

We got take away fish and chips and vegetable burger and even though by the time we got home it wasn't pipping hot it tasted really nice. Wish had eaten while still hot would have tasted even nicer.Well worth it

Potentially one of the best fish and chips ever made who never fail to impress. Prices are a bit expensive however the quality of the food justifies the price. If you are self conscious about salt make sure you tell them no salt because they do cover their food with ample amount of food. Overall very satisfied

....the taste of the food is changing and this is not for the better. I have been visiting this fish and chips shop for well over 8yrs. I cannot fault their chips, saveloy and curry sauce. I first started to notice how greasy their fish was back in 2014, a year on that was addressed but 2015 brought a new issue, now it's the flavour of the fish. It used to be so tasty but the last year has seen a decline in this area. I still go at least once a month but to be honest it more due to habit and not knowing where to go for good fish and chips on my area. As soon as I find that out, I'm sad to say it's bye bye. Of course if things improve before that happens I'm happy to remain the loyal customer I have been!

Growing up, we went here because the oil was fresh and you could taste that in the quality of fish and chips. That remained consistent for years. Have now moved away and been back recently to find that the standard isn't as good as we remember it. Perhaps the owners have changed? Having tried it I would say that it isn't as strong an offering any more and we would try others just to see if they have better f&c.

Good Chips, but the service was poor. They only take cash and am certain they don't even use a cash register. I wish I hadn't come there.

Been going to this takeaway and the fish and chips is the best. I have been going to this for over 20 years and have never been let down. Always consistent and you know what you are getting. The only annoying thing is that there are long queues and parking can be a nightmare.

After reading recent reviews I decided to get fish 7 chips from the Heston Fish Bar. I can't comment on the restaurant but can only say that we really enjoyed the takeaway meal. I thought the chips were especially nice.I did find it was a little bit more in price than my local chippy. Would visit again if in the area.

If Heston is the guy who served us,when we happened upon this fish bar, well, my fiancé would probably leave me and ask for your hand in marriage, if he could, cos you are the most friendly, passionate about fish, lovely fish and chip shop we're ever had the fortune of visiting.plus food is DIVINE.well done, Heston is the place to go, if you live anywhere within a 25 mile radius of the M25, BEST fish n' chips we've ever had!

Better than Baileys fish and chip restaurant which is currently ranked 3 in London!! Perfectly cooked fish and chips and lovely sausage in batter!
