Champagne at LHR T2We have dined at the Caviar House & Prunier on St James many times, and did so again, during our November trip. We have stopped into their shop, and the separate bar/dining area at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2, before catching our flight home to the USA. We did so, on this trip. Our flight was later than we usually take, and we had gotten to LHR with lots of time on our hand. Before heading to the United Club, we decided to stop into the Caviar House & Prunier shop in the terminal building, past Security.On this visit, we were interested in Champagne, and they always can accommodate us in that respect. We pulled up stools at the semi-circular bar, essentially in the middle of the rotunda at Terminal 2, watching the airline traffic, outside of the building, through giant windows.We had two glasses of the Laurent Perrier, and sat back, to relax, before heading to an early lunch, near our departure gate.Our service was very good, and cheerful. On this visit, we only sat at the bar for Champagne, and did not visit their near-by retail store - but we had already shopped at their St James restaurant, earlier in the visit.Lovely, and we try to always stop, when departing from T2 at LHR.

The service was nice and friendly, made easier by the absence of customers. For the price you pay you expect delicious food. Champagne and salmon were good, caviar was tasteless. For a person who tasted caviar many times before, this most expensive item reminded of a lumpfish caviar. Not a memorable experience.

The service was that slow, bad and inattentive that people were cancelling their food orders because they were going to miss their planes. I don’t know apart from the guy prepping food what any of the staff were doing. Sack email all!!!

Fabulous food and service in terminal 3. We opted for here rather than a lounge whilst waiting for our flight. The crab complemented the Brut Champagne very nicely. All staff are fabulous especially Bart.

The food is wonderful and the Caviar House is a great last stop before you head to your gate. The great thing about Caviar House is that you can bring some fresh fish or caviar home with you. I asked them how they keep the fish fresh until you get home and they told me they pack it in ice. The fish will be cold for 20 hours. Make sure you have a glass of champagne and some super fresh seafood before you take off. You wont be disappointed.

Beställde en ostbricka med 4 ostar, marmelad, vindruvor. Väldigt gott. Testade också lite kaviar. Salt och udda smak. Dyrt men kul att provsmaka!

great service and loevly food, from caviar to salmon to foie gras, but prices are very steep, and notably wines ! but we do not come often through terminal 5 and then we celebrate !

Shout out to Aggie who made our day. Was very pleasant and attentive. Asked me for ID which we laughed about as I was 26. Was very chatty and helpful. Asset to your team.

Really enjoyed their royal prawn cocktail with a very generous serving only caviar. Their wine selection is beautiful too and coffee is ok too.. expensive? Yes, but hey! You get what you pay for Good selection of cheeses too

Just great sea food, wine and quick professional service, when time is limited. Not cheap but you can avoid airline food and feel like a princess!

I always enjoy enjoy a trip to the oyster bar before catching a flight, they have a great wine selection too.

The Rock Oysters were plump, creamy and beautifully shucked. Not a hint of shell and served with shallots, Tabasco and lemon. We had 18 so it took a little while, but we were in no rush.

Getting ready to board after a long business week, spending around 1+ hour to check & queuing to refund VAT at Heathrow airport had to stop for a snack & a drink. Got the classic shrimp & a glass of wine. Food was delicious. Service quick price expensive but worth every dollar.

I always take a flight early afternoon and arriving early at the airport enjoy eating a salmon platter. Nice wine and champagne selection. Prices are probably too high but it’s a great place to have a bite before a flight

What an awsome meal. O went with my parents and the service was excellent and so was the food. Very nice decoration and the enviroment very friendly.

This is a great but expensive start to our amazing holiday. We cannot ever walk by without stopping for a very early breakfast, with a glass of very chilled Australian Chardonnay. The food/wine and service is first class - thank you

Plats rapidement préparés et bons. On est pas déçu et on aime bien avoir la même carte à chaque aéroport traversé, c'est bien plus pratique pour choisir rapidement entre deux vols.

Always a favorite spot to while away the time before a flight. The seafood is lovely and fresh and excellent wines to accompany it.

Fun to look at the exotic categories of caviar but also great to have a caviar sandwich to take to the airline lounge - for less money than you might rack up at a less satisfying yo sushi etc. in the airport. Very amiable staff as well.

Had a crawfish sandwich, and it was pretty good. I'd say it cost 50% more than it shod have, but maybe that's due to airport location or maybe all the Caviar Houses are high priced. Either way, this is still one of the better choices that I saw at Heathrow.

Een fijne plek om te wachten op je vlucht. Aan de bar wordt je prima en snel bediend. Het is werkelijk een genot om te kijken hoe men de verse zalm bereid. Heerlijke verse, verschillende soorten zalm met de lekkerste dressings. De wijnen zijn ook top. Tevens een heerlijke plek om even te relaxen op het drukke Heathrow. Niet echt goedkoop maar wel waar voor je geld. Niet onbelangrijk: vis is licht verteerbaar en dat doet het altijd goed voor je op reis gaat.

Excellent experience and the food was delicious. It's one of those places where you get what you want ("crave", I wanted to say "crave"). I love CAVIAR and this coupled with some nice Champagne was a perfect coupling. Can't wait to return.

This is now always part of our pre flight experience, we wouldn’t miss it for anything. Both had salmon and scrambled eggs with a bottle of champagne. Everything was superb as it always is whenever we’ve been. Very pleasant engaging staff what is there not to like.

I had two hours to kill at the airport before my flight. Ordered a bottle of wine (£55) and decided to use time to do some work. The battery in my laptop was very low and I wanted to plug it into one of sockets. However, the staff would let me to charge the laptop only if I use their charger - safety measure (!?!). Their charger has an old USB port, whereas my MacBook does not have it and I could not use it. I wanted to use my charger - not possible . They suggested that I plug charger into plugs in the common waiting area (no need for safety there??). Though, I could not take my drink with me - not allowed to take from the bar area. The manager was not around and none of senior staff was not available. "Great" service.

If you like seafood and wine or champagne this is a perfect place to have you final indulgence before stopping into your seat. No better way to start a holiday.

What a way a way to kick start our holiday

I really do hate airports, but this is one thing I look forward to every time I fly. A must have - seafood platter. You get a decent amount of bread and it goes down pretty well with a glass of wine. If you haven’t done this yet, do it.

I will always give 5 stars to this place as I always start my trip there in any Airport , but this time my visit at Heathrow T5 was unpleasant , they were busy and the waiter was really rude she left pice of plastic in my food and according to her colleague which he was a nice guy , her name was Lovely!!! I promise u there was nothing lovely about her !!!

We love to eat at the Caviar Houses and our visit yesterday to LHR was as wonderful as ever. Superb food included salmon eggs, smoked salmon, oysters and champagne. The lady that served us was absolutely marvellous and it was a very convivial start to our journey out to Cayman.

Stopping here each time I travel to Dublin! Oysters are a bit salty but fresh, staff welcoming and really nice, coffee is much better then other places and prices accesible!

Deze seafood bar op Heathrow Airport is de perfecte plek om even snel een heerlijk stukje zalm te eten met een goed glas wijn voordat je gaat vliegen en onderweg alleen wat pretsels krijgt. Het is wel mega duur. Daarom 4 in plaats van 5 sterren.

Mi hermana y yo tuvimos un poco de champán y foie gras para compartir, muy relajante! La señora que nos servía era encantadora y tuvimos una agradable charla. Un poco caro, pero merece la pena para un regalo.

Prior to our flight from Heathrow we decided to treat ourselves to a glass of champagne and start the holiday in luxury.The bar offers a great range of seafood and the service was good. We're looking forward to visiting again on our next holiday.

We decided to have breakfast here while waiting for a plane, we ordered a bottle of the house champagne and then proceed to order lobster and king crab, to our dismay we were told that there was none left as the previous day they were very busy and had sold out. I would of thought that being at a very busy airport they would of been able to order in from their suppliers . Not a good start to our holiday , the smoked salmon wasn't bad but we could of had that at home.

Whenever I go to the airport if they have a caviar house i go. This one in Heathrow is very good. The platter has always come out in good time and been fresh and tasty. They even let us swap an item we are not fond of. Oysters are very good too, have tried all types and always been fresh. The house champagne is ok but you may as well pay that little more for the Laurent Perrier. Overall perfect before a plane journey where you get disgusting food.

We always stop here for a bite before a long flight. Or a short flight : ) Love the smoked salmon, ice cold champagne - pretty much everything!

As I am sitting just having consumed my Crayfish Salad I cannot help but notice the total lack of Hygiene and Food handling knowledge of the staff.It started when the girl right in front of me started to scratch some food residue of a knife with her finger nail and once she succeeded simply placed in the "clean" tray.That's when I started to have a look around and noticed that ALL plates, glasses and cutlery are washed by hand in a sink with a dirty brush. Where is the SANITIZING ???Food handling gloves are worn by the girl preparing the food but in nearly an hour she has not ever changed them yet constantly touches dirty surfaces?We are talking about a venue with only ' ready to eat' food and such poor hygiene and poor food handling a recipe for some sick people!Come on Prunier Caviarhouse/ Heathrow Airport get your act together.

If you like first class luxury seafood then this is your place. I had the lobster salad and almost passed out from the amazing taste and culinary experience. You must east here while waiting for your flight at LHR.

Caviar houses are very good generally and this was no exception. As ever, good star, very pleasant and good service too, with food coming very quickly.Its lovely just sipping away whilst eating really good Salmon, or whatever and taking in the buzz of the terminal, instead of being in a stuffy lounge.

The Niçoise salad was full of tuna with a light dressing. The service was exception two polite well trained servers.Good choice of wine and great coffee. Expensive but The perfect place to start a holiday!

Owszem świeżo i duże porcje, że czasem mogą wystarczyć dla dwóch osób, ale ceny są jak z kosmosu. Mając więcej czasu i trochę w portfelu można delektować się przy ustronnym stoliku szampanem i ostrygami.

bought a present for my girlfriend, caviar, on my way home. got home two hours later with the cooling element still frozen. After consuming the caviar my girlfriend and I got terribly sick.I contacted Caviar House to warn and help them to avoid other people to experience the same. I complained about the situation and customer service would come back to me. To help Caviar House to look into the matter i left details as time of purchase, receipt details, which shop, etc. I had a reply after little time, Caviar House would look into it. two phone calls, some mails and many months later the Caviar House went and stays silent. for shops at the most busy airports in the world I would expect better service and way better quality of their product.

After the hassle of a journey to the airport, checking and security, it is nice to unwind with a bottle and a crab salad. Yes it is expensive, but it is worth going the extra mile and relaxing.

For me, stopping at Caviar House while waiting for my flight back at Heathrow or Charles-de-Gaulle is a small luxury moment I enjoy very much everytime.I always take the same thing, that is their #1 Tsar Nicolas Balik Smoked salmon with a glass of South Africa Chenin Blanc.Even as a breakfast, if you like smoked salmon, you must try the Balik, there is no other such smoked salmon in the world.Daniel Boulud serves it in some of his restaurant but they have a slight fishy taste that Caviar House has mastered to avoid in a highly consistent way.The Balik there is always fresh, perfect and an incredible experience worth the detour.Enjoy!

What a great way to get rid of the last of the British pounds in the airport.In Terminal 2 look for the spiraling light sculpture and underneath you will see bar stools and wine glasses.We stopped by and looked at a menu, wandered around and perused the other choices and decided to splurge.It is not cheap, but the quality of the food that came out was superb, and the wine selection interesting and not too highly priced.It was a nice prelude to being stuck on a plane with inedible meals thrown at you at random times.The crab legs and caviar is something I would recommend to anyone, and was accompanied by a frisee salad. The other choice was smoked salmon and although good, the menu did dance around the fact that it was farmed and not wild by using the phrase, "salmon from the wilds of Northern Norway" and I thought that a bit dishonest.

We kick off every holiday with breakfast or lunch at Caviar House with a glass of champagne. The quality of food and the service is always excellent. The salmon is wonderful and presented beautifully. The terminal 2 restaurant disappointed in two respects though. Sitting on one of the circular tables we had to keep fending off passengers waiting for a flight from the adjacent gate who wanted to sit at our table. I don't expect this when dining at the start of a romantic break. Maybe some "customers only" signs are needed. Secondly, every stool at the bar had a prominent tablet device.. I sit at a computer at work so please... not on holiday! Despite these niggles, I'll keep coming back for more.

Whenever I fly from Terminal 3 - just the other week as it happens - I give myself enough time to swing by the Caviar House or Oyster Bar as it's known. Although airline food is generally improving it's still mundane, plastic and very rarely appetising so I like to fuel up before boarding and the most pleasant experience on offer is the long bar at the Caviar House. I've always been able to get a seat, probably because the prices may seem quite high but then again you're guaranteed an experience none of the surrounding, noisy, fast-food outlets or bars can offer. Usually seated at the bar, with my laptop for free wifi service, I normally go for a seafood combo which includes smoked salmon, crab, prawns, crayfish, mussels and an oyster. The service is quick and the food prepared infront of you and is served up with soft whole grain bread and mildly salted butter. The standard is high and the quality consistent. Lovers of caviar who don't need to check menu prices can also knock themselves out. The key to the Caviar House success I believe is quality, consistency and simplicity - all served efficiently on a plate in one of the more tranquil corners of Terminal 3. Scottish novelist and travel writer Robert Louis Stevenson once wrote: "Little do ye know your own blessedness; for to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive." I don't think the Caviar House was around in 1881 but thanks to its menu and sharp service I know exactly what he means.

Om ni gillar Lax, ska ni prova detta ställe. Fantastisk fin mat i en annorlunda miljö. Jag tog en blandad tallrik med fem olika laxsorter, och till det ett glas champagne. Bland det godaste jag har ätit.

Caviar House is in a relatively quiet part of Terminal 3, such as is possible. The relatively high pricing perhaps keeps numbers down as it has never been busy on the occasions I have been there. Staff have been friendly and helpful, there is a good choice of food and wine, and if you do not have access to a lounge this is as good a way as any to pass the time. It helps to like seafood, of course.

I visited ahead of a long flight and fancied something light rather than the in flight food.I opted for the smoked salmon and prawn salad. Really excellent salmon and great quality fresh ingredients Can't wait to return

So Cavier house has always been my go to spot after a long haul and with a layover. The food is always 5 stars, the service 5 stars as well. The most important thing here is the quality, in the old days no one was quite sure where the Cavier was coming from, the salmon however was never in question.This is s great place to stop and pick up a meal or eat at the counter. The food travels well, and if your eating it on the plane it takes your coach seat right to First class.It actually doesn't get any better, UNLESS you are at Petrossian in The LAX Bradley terminal. And that's pretty hard to say.

Try their 'Taste of Excellence ': Foie gras, Balik Salmon and Caviar. Together with a glass or two of pink champagne paired with efficient service- what more could you possibly wish for? I have been there many times and was never disappointed. Well done!

C'est pas tous les jours que l'on croise ce genre de restaurant. Alors on se dit que l'on va se faire un petit plaisir, mais il ne vaut mieux pas regarder le prix. Un service de qualité avec un personnel charmant. Une assiette bien garnie et délicieuse.

这家专营的seafood bar在机场店只做各种海鲜沙拉。点了一份蟹肉沙拉，26胖，其它三文鱼沙拉什么的也要19胖，要不是因为在机场话，这价格真是贵得让人骂街。蟹肉倒是很不错，不过看来也是在加工地点做好了包装到机场的，口感上蟹肉倒是还算新鲜，下面配搭的蔬菜比较清爽新鲜，就是量太少了些，面包黄油都是算在沙拉价钱内的，可以多要。不过面包也就是toast那种，但不是现烤的，无甚出奇之处。其实10月份这个季节，应该尝试他们的牡蛎配葡萄酒的，下次一定再试试。

We finished off our holiday and had 6 oysters and a half bottle of Rose Champagne. The staff were pleasant and the food was delicious. A nice treat to end a good holiday. Maybe a little over priced.

Even when I owned a BA Gold Card, I opted to visit the Caviar House rather than sit in the BA First Class Lounge. T5's version of this world-class eatery is every bit as good as its counterpart in Harrod's in Knightsbridge. We know the Sancerre will always be spot on. We know the Kamchatka crab will always be meaty.And oh. The Rose Marie sauce? I always order a second helping.It isn't cheap. But then, neither is the food. GREAT people staff the place, knowing we're all heading out. The make us feel like we're world-class, just like their food.

Semplicemente super. Ottimo lo champagne, sempre accurstamente servito ghiacciato. Ottimi gli assaggi di salmone e caviale. Di grande livello sempre le ostriche. Ideale l'ubicazione di fronte al duty free di Harrod's nella hall delle partenze. Io mi reco volutamente in aeroporto in anticipo... per regalarmi una sosta qui prima del rientro.
