The best restaurants serving Seafood food in West Midlands

We both had 1/4 chicken and chips to eat in and it was excellent. Everything was hot, the chips were not hard and there was plenty of meat on the chicken portion. Great value too!

Lovely people, but me and my partner got very bad food poisoning from a mixed kebab last night

9 o’clock too early I want my fish and chips and we so hungry .

Had a large cod and chips. First time I've experienced what seemed to be triple cooked fish. Comprised less actual fish than a fish finger enclosed in a mass of robust batter. Will never go back.

Not sure when the oil was last changed but it hasn't been for some time. Half the chips were cold, all were greasy and had a revolting flavour from oil being used to cook a variety of foods voer a long period of time. Battered sausages full of fat, battered cod soggy batter and dry inside. All in all possbily the worst fish and ship shop I've ever been to. We only called in as apssing by, next time we will just pass by. The food was disposed of which is probably the safety decision we made.

If you want fish and chips from Wollaston Fish Bar I’d recommend going via an online delivery service as these appear to take priority. Came in at 8pm this evening and stood next to two delivery drivers waiting for orders. I was the only other customer. Of a team of 4/5 people fulfilling online orders, not a single person acknowledged my presence. I waited for 5 minutes, directly in front of the counter and nobody even made eye contact. I left and spent my money elsewhere. I’m happy to wait, I’m not happy to be ignored.

I waited over 25 minutes for my food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for ages. The server was inattentive and didn't check in once after we placed our order. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back here

Ordered 3 Donna kebabs and they was really grease and the chips wasn’t very nice all in all want be ordering from here again

The chips was partly solid inside. Chicken was chewy & the skins not crispy... it was not the usual juicy, crispy skin & seasoning on the chicken. The fishy tasted bland, deffo not like the ones we had before!

Absolutely terrible. Waited 40 minutes for my order then gave it to someone else who came in 15 minutes after me. Staff were surly and not helpful at all. Last time I come here for anything. Absolutely rubbish staff could do with some customer training

I went into my local chip shop and ordered some food . I had not been there for a while as the chips were not very nice but decided to give it another go . My order was incorrect and I repeated the order to the gent behind the till .The gent / tall man behind the counter become very aggressive shouting and ranting at me telling me he would serve me this time but I would be banned from the shop in future . I told him he had a very bad attitude towards the customers and very bad customer service and then asked for my money back .I also asked why I would be banned? Considering he had got my order incorrectly ,but With no avail .I spoke to the owners wife to tell her about the incident across the road but she stuck up for her husband who said he heard the conversation .The funny thing is he wasn’t in the shop at the time and was on a delivery, so this was a complete lie. I will never go to this shop again or use the corner shop which they own as they also keep overcharging you so watch you coins . This has happened numerous times . I think the man in this shop needs a drug test as he seems like he was on something or dislikes certain people (women) . I have lived here 30 years and never felt so insulted . The previous owners were lovely and very respectful it’s a shame this has gone down hill. I have spoken to other people around the area and they have said this has happened to them too .
