The Tasty Plaice in Dudley

The chips was partly solid inside. Chicken was chewy & the skins not crispy... it was not the usual juicy, crispy skin & seasoning on the chicken. The fishy tasted bland, deffo not like the ones we had before!

This place hasn’t let me down so far, great food always. Comes piping hot perfectly cooked and not greasy like other chip shops the peri peri chicken is a must try and salad is always fresh thank you!

Again the pepperoni pizza was burnt on top £18 going in the pin . The donmet and chips and mint sauce was lovely.

So disappointed tonight, having driven three hours getting home this was our go to fast food takeaway, asked for a large fish and battered chips but was told they only had plain chips reluctantly I said yes as it was 21.00 and getting late. The fish was duly wrapped and shoved on top of the warmer at which point I was told the chips were cooking - ten minutes of waiting. As these were cooking I asked for a curry sauce only to be told they had run out. The young girl did apologise and offer a roe as a means a sorry, to make it worse once home the fish that had been sitting so long was now lukewarm and the batter hard.

I ordered a large cod,it was all batter and hardly any fish looked like it was from lunch time very disappointed!

One pizza was burnt the pepperoni one the margarita pizza was lovely, but the other one not nice

the driver stated food had been delivered, however it had not! As a customer there is no support line which is disgusting. what is the point in the code system if drivers can still say your order has be complete. absolutely disguting.

Tasty Plaice is hands down the best spot for fish and chips! The fish is crispy, the chips are perfectly golden, and the service is fast and friendly. Ideal for a quick, delicious takeaway. Highly recommended!

Order was changed to avoid a wait following a call from the shop. Got delivered 90 minutes after we ordered it and all was there except the van if coke was replaced by a pot of curry sauce. Then delivered using an Aldi bag so unsurprisingly it was all cold

Asked what pie's were available as the pie's wasn't on the menu list, lady realed off loads of pie's in 5sec couldn't understand her, so Asked for meat and potatoe and chip's, ended up with mince beef ,chip's in a tray 🤔,,all I wanted was bag of chip's and pie This place has gone down over last 6 months, with food quality and staff ,

Chicken meat and chips. Would prefer the meat not to be cut before hand. Gives the food a rubbery and unnatural taste. However it looked like a medium portion than large! They wanted Extra for mixed chicken. Extra for salad. When one orders from other fine establishments all this is included in the price! 07/08/24

Great chippy, nice battered chips not greasy at all also tried peri peri chicken from here was perfectly seasoned to my liking definitely order again in the future

Well I don’t normally go here , I prefer the one down the road , I now know why , miserable staff , expensive, 75p for just onions !! Hard chips , just tasteless a bit flat really . But it wasn’t planned if it was I would have gone somewhere else … sorry

I went there off the cuff for some food , I’ve been there in the resent past and was never impressed , but maybe it could be different after a long time ….. no Absolutely red hot in the shop , fell sorry for the staff but that reflects in their service just miserable. I asked for kebab meat and chips and onions , wanted 75p for onions , I declined . For what they charge there are lots of better fish and chip shops around , lesson learnt won’t return but I’ll doubt they will care !! Oh nearly forgot no flippin carrier bag to bring it home in 😳

On website it states buy one get one free, they didn’t give the extra as promised!

The fish and chips was really good fish just melted in your mouth we had to wait but it was well worth it was busy too best in a while

This is a reminder for me not to order from here again, fish batter wasn’t cooked and was too thick and sloppy, I don’t usually leave bad reviews for minor errors but if you can’t cook a fish then you shouldn’t be called a fish and chip shop

TWICE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! my delivery has been nearly two hours and the order arrived and it’s not even my order! To be told we close in 20 minutes and we will deliver tomorrow I have a child that hasn’t eaten and is late for bed and I haven’t eaten all day. Seriously! TWICE THIS HAS HAPPENED! I will not be ordering again I urge you to think twice before ordering here!

Peri peri chicken was banging cooked to perfection nice with a side salad too definitely be ordering that again from here.

Gave me a great deal on the peri wings, which are the best. The staff are very friendly and kind and look after you. I have used them for years and will do in the future. I would highly recommend anyone passing through Sedgley to try them. You will not be disappointed.

4 o clock pm just tried cold greasy stale chips a kebab burger thrown together and drenched in sauce not a place to eat at when quiet times of the day imo orange chips nasty when stale

Everything double battered like it had been recooked from the day before fish very dry, my son has been throwing up all night/ morning and we all have bad stomachs today!

ordered at 650pm recieved at 2050pm all food stone cold all went in the bin will be requesting a refund, tried to call restaurant no answer

Absolutely disgusting service, asked for a fresh Doner meat in naan, what I received was Doner meat that was cut beforehand and put into a plastic carrier bag which was tied up and a naan bread that was warmed up in the microwave for 10 seconds. If I could give this place a zero star I would. Unfortunately , that is not available. Also the meat was freezing cold would never go again. Portion size was terrible. Ended up in the bin. Absolutely terrible.

I ordered a buy 1 get 1 free peri piri chicken meals. I only received 1 chicken, no chips or drink.. I called the shop complain I was told they would send the chips, these took 35minutes to arrive by then the chicken was cold and I couldn't eat it. When I asked about the buy 1 get 1 free I was told I only ordered 1 and I should have ordered 2. Well if I'd have ordered 2 wouldn't I have received 4? This ordered cost me £36.77 which I am requesting a full refund. 1 person had no food and I couldn't eat mine because it was cold. I was told by the shop that this is Just Eats fault..

Due to be delivered at 7:15pm. Arrived at 8pm. Food was cold. Salad was all limp and nasty. Not happy. Usually the service is better than that.

Had a phone call to say they had run out of the item I ordered and offered to replace with something else. Was absolutely fine with the replacement and the chap I spoke to was really polite. Got a shock when the order turned up and the cook had gone to the trouble of cooking one fresh. Even left a nice message on the bag. They didn’t have to do that, but I appreciate it. Thank you!! Also… the peri chicken is incredible, and we’re always happy with the food every time we order!

great food and spicy pizza is the best

Unsure how a pizza took half an hour from a place i could have collected in 5minutes. Especially since i had a message half hr before it arrived to say it was on its way. It was luke warm at best not piping hot.

Was a nice and hot and good quality ingredients only down side child scallop dripping in oil need to drain more when just been cooked

Chips were amazing, burger spot on, and the staff were great. Also tried two combinations from the new peri peri chicken wing menu which were both delicious. Will definitely be returning. 👌🏼

The chicken was undercooked, hard to bite and pull out, this isn’t the first time this has happened either, hardly any chips compared to other times that I ordered here, this place has degraded in the recent months.
